Summary:

POV: you’ve wached Encanto again and got back into the fandom

I gave Mirabel a power and let her meet the spiderverse. I made this out of Brainrot. Honestly, this might turn out to be really bad or not. IDFK.

This starts a few weeks before Antonio’s gift ceremony.

Chapter 1: The Day

Chapter Text

It had been a normal day in Encanto so far. Mirabel had been singing and playing with the Encanto children. Her cousin’s ceremony was going to be in a few weeks so she was answering the questions of the children.

Eventually the kids had to go back to their parents, thanking Mirabel for watching them.

Mirabel decided to head to the far part of town, near the forest to draw. It was always peaceful there and she had a little bit of time before dinner.

She sat down, her back facing a large tree as she opened her sketchbook and took out a pencil from a pocket in her skirt. She didn’t even notice when she’d let her hand rest on the tree trunk and a spider approached. But then, she felt the sting. It burned. She slapped the spider off, feeling herself shiver as she realized that she’d let a spider crawl on her.

Mirabel then decided that it was time to head back to Casita, she needed to help her mama set up dinner anyway.

Her hand felt kind-of funny but she decided to ignore it, heading back to the Casita and to the nursery to put her journal and pencil away, hiding it under a secret compartment in her nightstand drawer. (Camilo finding it would be not good considering she sometimes draws a lot of. . .dark things)

She shut the compartment, closing the drawer and heading downstairs to help her mama with setting up for dinner.

She felt a bit light-headed but she did skip lunch, so she thought it was a normal reaction for her body to have.

Once dinner was all set up and everyone was at the table, Mirabel started to have a headache. She lay her head on the table, headache now making her head pound.

“-abel Mirabel!” her Abuela shouted to her from across the table. Mirabel sat up, clutching her head as she did. It was throbbing.

“Yes Abuela?” she asked, letting hand drop to her side.

“Is ignoring your family and not answering them okay? Absolutely not! Not to mention you put your head down and fell asleep at the table!” her Abuela told her sternly, her voice raising slightly.

“Are you alright mija?” her mama, Julieta asked her.

“Fine mama!” she reassured. “Just. . .the village kids tired me out today, you know how they can be.” she lied.

Her mama nodded, suspicion in her eyes, but accepting her lie nonetheless.

“I’ll just go to bed now, cause I’m really tired,” she told her family, standing up as she felt her head pound.

She practically ran back to the nursery, passing out as soon as she hit the bed, the throbbing of her head getting worse by the second.

(Downstairs, some of the Madrigals were concerned, such as Luisa, Julieta, Antonio, and Agustin. Abuela just thought Mirabel was being weird.)

FAR FAR AWAY IN 1610. . .

“Aye, Miles?” Hobie nudged the boy. Miles had been sitting with Hobie on a roof after doing some graffiti with him.

“Yea?” he questioned, looking away from his phone.

Do ya’ feel like somethin's gonna happen soon?” Hobie asked, tuning his guitar. Miles looked at him.

“Nah I hope not, we’ve had enough trouble in the past few months. I just wanna take a break man,” Miles sighed, flinging his head backwards to crack it before looking back to his phone.

“You good man?” Miles asked.

“Ehhhh, I’m fine, musta’ been the spida’ sense shit actin’ up again,’' ' Hobie told him, before standing up and stretching.

“Last one to your house doesn’t get any of your ma’s food,” Hobie stated, jumping off the building and shooting webs to get to Miles’s house.

Miles scrambled, getting up, pocketing his phone and chasing after Hobie.
