Chapter Text
"Please." The girl sobbed, watching the man scroll through her phone, he smirked and stepped closer, bringing the knife to her throat his other gloved hand holding up the phone.
"You made a mistake trying to stalk him." He snorted, a picture on the phone. A group picture of NCT at a fan meet.
"If you let me go I promise I'll stop. I won't tell anyone either. Please. Please!"
It was too late for that. She'd seen his face, there was no going back now.
"You have a boyfriend?" He asked, opening the messages she had with a 'Sweetie' in her phone, reading the conversation, the boy broke up with her via text.
"I'm sorry but without you I am nothing." He spoke as he typed out the message. He placed the phone in her hand. "Go on, look at it." He pulled the knife away.
"What do you want?" She blubbered. He was done with this. God, he couldn't deal with all these obsessive whores.
"It's really simple, princess." He put the knife in her hand and forced the pointed tip to her neck. She was so weak, this was too easy. "I want all these sluts, girls like you, to stop seducing him. Why can't you see that he's perfectly happy without you? Johnny is mine."
"I didn't—"
He forced the knife into her neck. She tried to scream, tried to drop the knife but he held her grip firm, any noise coming out was just her choking on her own blood. He held her like that until she slouched forward, phone and knife falling from her hands, making it look like he had no part in it. Just a broken hearted teenaged girl. He was behind her on the bed, the only blood he got on him was his hands. On long rubber gloves that he peeled off and stuck in his bag. He rolled up his sleeves, checking his arms for blood. He was clean. Another flawless kill.
He had been careful. There were no prints anywhere, he'd worn gloves, made her hold the knife so it looked like a suicide. Suicide like the others.
"Shouldn't have smiled at him like that." He sighed, pulling on a new pair of gloves.
He casually strode out of the house, keeping the shower caps on his shoes until he exited. He walked down the street with his hat pulled down, his black hood and black pants and black mask hiding any distinct features. He crossed the street to someone's yard, tucking beside the house into dark bushes. He smiled to himself as a car finally pulled into the garage. Two people got out, letting themselves in the house. It wasn't long after that a scream could be heard through the girl's open window. He let out a satisfied sigh. One less person to take Johnny's attention away from him.
"There was another suicide." Ten stated, reading the article on his phone.
"Yo I heard about that, that's like the 6th one right?" Mark asked, grabbing one of the side dishes from Ten.
"Are they sure they're suicides?" Ten asked,
"Two girls hung themselves, one slit her wrists, one was stabbed in the throat, one drank bleach, one overdosed. You think someone went through all that effort to kill teenaged girls?" Kun asked. "I doubt it."
"Like you're a master of criminology." Renjun snorted.
"I know a lot about it because I like to educate myself in various fields—"
"Yes, Kun-ge, we all know how smart you are." Hendery rolled his eyes. Kun let out a hiss and flicked Hendery on the nose in retribution.
"The girls didn't even know each other. They weren't related, they didn't even go to the same schools. Nothing was taken from their houses and they weren't sexually assaulted. If its murder, what's the thing that links the victims together?" Kun asked
"Do they need to be related for someone to kill them? Some people just like teenage girls." Mark butt in.
"What reason could someone possibly have for killing teenagers and making them look like suicides?" Kun asked. "There's always a motive if its murder. If its serial killings there's always a criteria for the killer." Kun argued. He was the most educated of all of them. "If it was a serial killer, those girls all had something in common, maybe they shopped at the same store the killer chose his victims from." He shoved some food into his mouth and Ten cringed. How could they talk about death so casually while they ate.
"If it were me, I'd purposely make them all look different and like suicides. Keep the cops off my ass. If its a serial killer he's smart." Mark stated.
"You sound like you know him personally." Ten muttered.
"I agree with Mark." Johnny took a large sip of his water and then stood up "Anyway, Ten and I have plans." Johnny glanced at his watch "To see a movie. Let's go."
The movie was just an excuse.
"Another one?" Haechan asked.
"Yeah dude, why don't you invite anyone else?" Mark gestured to the group.
"Because Ten and I like to go without people who would talk through the entire movie." Johnny laughed.
"We'll invite you next time, Mark." Ten smiled
"What about me?" Kun and Jungwoo whined in unison. Neither of them answered as Ten followed Johnny from the restaurant.
"Do you really think those were murders?" Ten asked. Johnny laughed shaking his head.
"If they were I think the killer is probably pretty smart, but no. I just think that its been difficult for a lot of families dealing with post pandemic inflation. Kids having to go back to school and be exposed to bullying, not living up to expectations. Shit like that. Its easy to be depressed in today's world."
"How would you know? Are you depressed?" Ten asked.
"I don't have time to be depressed." Johnny smirked at him "Not while I have your needs to tend to."
