It was one of those beautiful spring days, when the sky was filed with thick white clouds with bright sunlight pouring out from behind them, when the cold wind made everything swirl around and made the increasing heat of the sun bearable.
In shion's opinion, this weather was just perfect. He often expressed how much he liked the feeling of wind surrounding him, cold blows crashing into him felt like touch of nature. Now, though, he likes it for a different reason. Such weather means he can spend outdoor time with his boyfriend by going on picnics and long drives on country roads, having sun bathe and water games in their lawn and much more. To him, spring was all about happiness and love.
He was deep in his thoughts, smiling to himself while setting up chairs in their lawn when Noa appeared with some cushions and a cloth in his peripheral, a pout visible on his lips. God, how are his lips so kissable? He thought.
"Hyung, why didn't you answer me when I called you from inside? I wasn't sure what else to bring." He looked down at the things in his hand, obviously sulky.
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you." He took a step closer to reach out for the younger's hair, smiling.
"It's fine. Let's set things up quickly so we can enjoy the weather together." He shyly smiled back, staring into shion's hazel eyes.
Noa started setting up the speakers for music while shion spread cloth and arranged cushions. As he was done, he sat on one of the chairs to enjoy and look at the sky. His eyes were observing a focused Noa, whose hair were blowing because of the wind gushes. He looked ethereal. Really ethereal and handsome.
Feeling the stare on himself, Noa turned around to see shion already smiling at him. What is up with him today? He thought to himself and smiled back.
Soon, they were resting, watching as the clouds drifted and formed beautiful shapes across the sky. Shion was laying his head on noa's arm, as he grazed the back of his hand absentmindedly.
"Hey?"
"Mmm?"
"How about reading a book?"
"Sure, I want to hear it in your voice though" he smirked.
"Anything for my baby" he cooed dramatically, and Noa just rolled his eyes.
Shion sat up, grabbing a book from basket and opening the bookmarked page. Since he had an immense love for books and novels, he often read them. He read them out loud for noa before going to bed, which usually ended up in younger falling asleep in the middle. He just had that honey voice that calmed him down.
Noa settled his head on older's thighs, covering his eyes with forearm, just basking in the sun's dying warmth. This moment was so pretty, almost too good to be true. As shion started reading, a shiver ran through him. The warm voice was leaving behind a calming effect. He was in love with his voice, his presence, his existence.
Every morning when he woke up to his cute sleepy face, every night when he kissed him before sleep. What was Noa if not with Shion? It was like he had forgotten how to live without him.
He suddenly sat up and looked at shion, who had now paused reading in shock. They held eye contact for few seconds, before shion spoke up.
"Noa? are you okay? Why are your eyes-"
He was cut off mid sentence when a pair of soft lips came in contact with his own plush ones. The book tripped out of his grip. Taken aback with the sudden change in his boyfriends behavior, he slightly pushed him back, connecting their foreheads. "Love, what's with this sudden change? I'm not complaining but I'm sure as fuck confused"
He felt noa smile as he spoke, "I love you baby, I love you too much."
Shion's insides were on fire. It was like a bunch of fireworks exploded in his heart altogether. Words of affirmations and confessions were his absolute weak spot. This was the best day ever for him. From the weather being his favorite, to finally having Noa to spend time with him, and this sudden expression. It all made him giddy.
"I love you too, I love you alot baby. And sometimes-" he gasped for air. "I can't stop thinking about our future together. I can't wait for you to come home to me and kiss me like your life depends on it till the day I'm alive."
Noa was still shivering slightly, so he sat up straight and pulled shion in his lap.
"Baby, it's just the beginning of our lives, let's not think about the end already." With that, he slow kissed him once again, a kiss so deep shion most probably forgot to breathe for seconds. The passion and love extruded was enough of an assurance for him that they were going to be for ever.
