Chapter Text

A familiar melody played as your phone rang interrupting your nap. Not wanting to be disturbed, you decide to ignore the call only for it to ring again. You let out an annoyed groan and picked it up anyways as it seemed that the caller was insistent on getting through to you.

“Hello”, you mumble into the phone.

“Hello. Who’s this?”, asks an unfamiliar voice. You look at the screen, searching for a caller ID, but see that it’s an unknown number. Now annoyed that this stranger was wasting your time you responded with some sass,

“Is there a reason you called? I was kinda in the middle of doing something”. There were a few seconds of silence before the other person responded,

“I’d hardly call sleeping ‘doing something’. You never answered my question. Who’s this?”
A chill ran up your spine. You never told the stranger that you had been sleeping. How did he know what you were doing? ‘Maybe it was just a good guess’, you thought to yourself, trying to calm yourself.

“Why do you want to know? Didn’t you know whose number this was before you called?”, you forced confidence into your voice to sound unphased by the stranger’s bizarre conversation.

“Para ver quien estoy mirando.”, he replies briefly. Unfortunately you weren’t fluent in Spanish and weren’t able to understand what he said.

“I’m sorry, what?”, you ask, clearly asking for the stranger to repeat himself in English.
“To know who I’m looking at right now”, he replied nonchalantly. Your eyes go wide in panic as you hear what he just said. Your heart rate spikes as you immediately rush towards your bedroom window and look through it, looking for a sign of an intruder. Instead of seeing someone, you see that no one is there.

“If this is a prank, it's not funny. I will call the police”, you finally reply back to him, voice shaking. The man chuckles,

“They would never get here in time. Anyways, now that I have your attention,” his voice drifts as you hear your doorbell being rang. You jump at the sound, now fearing for your life. Who was this guy and how did he know where you lived? Shaking hands hung up the phone and began to type 911 before the stranger called again. This time his calm demeanor was replaced with an aggravated tone,

“Don’t you dare hang up the fucking phone again you hear me?!”, he yelled. “Now be a good girl and open the goddamn door”. You had one of two options
Open the door and be at the mercy of the stranger. Who knows what he was planning on doing to you. If he was alone or had an accomplice? What was his purpose for stalking you?
Try to escape your house without him noticing. But who knows if there was someone else lurking in the shadows or if he was purposely trying to lure you away from the safety of your home.

“Are you going to hurt me?”, you ask quietly, tears beginning to form in your eyes.

“I want to play a game,” he replied calmly.
“C’mon princesa, no tengo todo el día.”, he urged, the doorbell ringing once again. You let out a scream at the sudden sound and slowly make your way downstairs, looking for anything that you could use as a weapon.

“Who’s there?!”, you yell towards the door, only for the man on the phone to respond,

“You’re smarter than to ask ‘who’s there’. Why don’t you open the door and find out? Dios, what if it was a killer or something?”

“P-please. Just leave me alone! Someone will be home any minute!”, you plead, finally able to grab a chef’s knife from the kitchen counter.

“You really think so huh? Turn on your porch light princesa. I think your friend is already here.” You quickly obey, falling for the illusion that your friend, Y/F/N, finally made it to your house as planned. The second your finger flipped the switch you went from feeling relief to immediate sickness. Hanging from your once beautiful tree, your best friend’s body was suspended by their innards, deep gashes on their abdomen and face. You let out a blood curdling scream and shut off the light, backing away from the gore you just witnessed. This couldn’t be real. This had to be some sick, twisted nightmare, but the laugh coming from your phone proved that this was real.

“Back to our game now, since we’re alone. Guess which door I’m at right now. Guess correctly and I’ll let you live. Guess incorrectly and well.. I think you know what’s gonna happen,”

“No, please! I-I.. I can’t do this!”, you cry out looking out from your hiding spot to see where the assailant was.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk. Time’s up amor.” he states while hanging up the line. You hear the line go dead and immediately feel another surge of panic rise in your body. Bile crept to the back of your throat as the hot tears burned your cheeks. Now was your chance to escape. You stood from your spot behind the couch and attempted to sneak through the house, but something grabbed your arm, preventing you from moving further. You felt your arm being tugged back as your back collided against something hard and cold. Suddenly, you feel his warm breath against your ear as he whispers,

“Should’ve answered the question Y/N,”
You shut your eyes and let out a terror-stricken cry,

“Why? Why are you doing this?!”, you ask him, as he strokes your flowy hair.

“Because I can. You should feel special. I’ve been watching you for a while. Your scent… it’s intoxicating.” His response scared you. How long had he been watching you for? And what did he mean by scent? He still held you in front of him, with your back facing him so you couldn’t see his face. You drop your head and let out another loud cry, remembering seeing your friend’s lifeless body hanging from the tree.

“Why Y/F/N? They didn’t deserve that!” He then snapped, spinning you around and gripping you by the throat with what looked like talons. His eyes glowed a vibrant red and prominent fangs poked through his plump lips.

“Enough with the questions Y/N!”, he boomed. “Questions are what got you in this mess in the first place.” Your eyes stayed glued to his fangs, unease tugging at your brain. What the hell was going on? Who was he? In that moment you knew that if you didn’t run, the monster before you would surely kill you. Your fight response kicked in and you slammed your knee into his groin, which loosened his grip enough to allow you to escape, an annoyed growl being heard from the man as you began to run. You were only feet away from the door, your heart pounding for the safety of the outdoors before your legs were swept from under you and your body being dragged on the floor. You let out a scream of anguish as a sharp pain shot through your legs signaling that his talons were buried deep in your muscles. You had failed to escape, and now you would die by the hands of this monster. You felt yourself being flipped over, now facing the ceiling, the large figure of the man hovering over you. His anger could be felt as his talons now wrapped around your throat.

“All you had to do was listen! Why didn’t you listen?!”, he roared. You struggled under his grip, but his talons remained firm and rigid causing a pool of blood to form underneath your neck.

“Please, if you’re going to kill me, just do it”, you begged him. If he was going to kill you, the least he could do was make it quick. He bared his fangs at you, now dripping with a pale pink liquid. You turn your head as if to avoid his gaze before feeling a burning sensation in your collarbone. You bite back a scream as you feel your veins burn. Your body seizes as the venom takes over your system. The man watches with a smirk on his face.

“W-what d-did you d-do to m-me?” you stutter out, starting to feel the effects.

“Don’t worry, it won’t kill you, just paralyze you.”, he smirked again, swiping his talon across your cheek  enough to draw blood then sucking his finger.
“Hmm.. Sweet”, he mumbles to himself. You try to move, but your limbs refuse to respond. The only thing you have control of is your breathing and it scares you. Immobilized, you were at this crazy man’s mercy, a fact you wanted to ignore but couldn't. The more you panicked, the more his smile grew. It’s like he enjoyed the anguish that he put you in. Why wouldn’t he just kill you already? He was like a predator playing with its prey before killing it. What was the purpose for this torture? Once again, you lay on the floor motionless, a new feeling of arousal taking over your body. Confused you looked up at him, his eyes twinkled with an amused expression,

“Minor side effect of the bite. It’s an aphrodisiac or so I’m told”. You close your eyes in frustration. Of course you would be put in this situation. Now you weren’t one to pray, but you prayed to every God, Goddess, Deity, whoever to get you out of this. You just wished that you would make it out alive.
