Venice, Italy — middle of June, early 2000s
Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy walked through the streets of Venice, being as touristy as they could, and it was the best holiday that the two of them had ever experienced. It had always been a dream of Hermione's to visit Italy and explore the streets, eating as much pizza, pasta and ice cream as she possibly could stomach.
She had always mentioned to her parents growing up that she wanted to travel through Europe, explore all the tourist sights and be a typical tourist. That was one of the first memories they recalled remembering when Hermione placed their memories back in their heads after the Second Wizarding War before Jean and Richard then gave the couple the gift to travel throughout Europe. Hermione and Draco didn't use the tickets before the memories were properly secure and Jean and Richard were aware of why she had done what she had done.
Hermione didn't care that Draco and she was mainly exploring the Muggle parts of Venice, only using magic when they could do so without anyone seeing and using the magic in their large hotel room. Taking Muggle photos on her father's older camera was one of Hermione's favourite activities, especially because Draco was still getting used to the Muggle items she used around the house or whenever they went travelling somewhere. He was used to cars and travelling by plane, but some things he was still unsure of.
She hadn't suspected anything about what Draco had been planning behind the scenes for months. Hermione was completely clueless about what had happened in her blond boyfriend's head. He was occasionally more anxious and on edge about things but Hermione stupidly thought it was about work, not pushing him to disclose any more about why he was so on edge for most of the day.
As they sat down for dinner, one evening, Hermione stared at her boyfriend and noticed the slight shine of sweat that was covering his face. She just played it off that it was because of the heat but something else seemed wrong. He seemed stressed, more stressed than he had been throughout their whole holiday. Hermione ordered them glasses of wine before ordering them a large pasta dish to share. The glasses of white wine were placed down on their table before followed by a small bowl of fresh, warm bread and an even smaller bowl of olive oil to dip the bread in.
"Love, are you feeling alright?" Hermione sipped at her wine, smiling warmly at Draco, leaning closer towards the blond.
"Mhm, I'm alright. It's just very warm." Draco nodded, gulping before he reached for his own glass. He sipped on the white wine, cooling himself down and trying to remain calm. "I need to invest in one of those electric fans or something." He sighed, chuckling quietly. He fanned himself pathetically with his hand before reaching for another gulp of his wine.
"You could just cast a cooling charm on yourself," Hermione commented, smiling as he rolled his eyes. She muttered under her breath, wandlessly placing a cooling charm on herself before placing a strong cooling charm on Draco. He relaxed instantly as the cooling charm wrapped around him.
"Thank you, love." Draco blew her a kiss.
Their meal arrived and Draco calmed down a load. The cooling charm had obviously helped him. Hermione dug into the pasta, she moaned quietly at the taste.
Fuck, this is incredible.
Draco nodded, as if hearing her thoughts, and smiled at the noise she had made. If he possibly wasn't still so stressed, he probably would have laughed a little bit more than he did. Hermione always enjoyed teasing him at the dinner table and moaning if the food tasted good.
"I could live on this food forever," Hermione commented, smirking as she moaned once again. She should stop teasing him at the table, especially with the two of them in public. "I've not had pasta this good in ages." She groaned a little quieter this time, noticing the smirk that was across Draco's face. Hermione looked up at him, furrowing her eyebrows at Draco. "What?" She smirks back, not knowing why he was smirking at him.
"Nothing, don't worry, darling." Draco's smirk grew larger. He adjusted his trousers, rechecking his pockets but Hermione didn't notice the movement. Instead, Hermione was distracted by the sudden change in the music that was playing around them. It was as if all the other patrons of the restaurant disappeared into thin air and it was just Draco, Hermione and the restaurant staff. She stared at Draco, confusion painted across her face as she narrowed her eyes.
What the fuck is happening?
The table now seemed to be in a completely different location.
Was this restaurant actually magical?
"Draco?" Hermione stared at him, awe in her eyes.
Draco moved away from the table, which was now on the beach and they were surrounded by a magical band that was playing music for the couple. He kneeled down beside Hermione, smiling up at her. Her face was still shocked, awe still looming behind her eyes. Draco clears his throat as he reaches his hand into his trousers pocket and grabs out the pocket, that he had been making sure he had earlier in the evening.
This couldn't be happening.
This can't be happening.
Oh, my Merlin. Oh, my Merlin. Oh, my Merlin. Oh, my Merlin.
"Hermione Jean Granger, you are my saviour. I have never experienced the love that you give me. I really don't deserve the love that you have shown me throughout our friendship and our relationship. When you gifted me your forgiveness in our eighth year at Hogwarts. I never deserved the forgiveness but you forced the forgiveness on me and I will always be thankful for the love and forgiveness that you gave me and continue to give me. Hermione Granger, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. There is no one else for me. It's you. I want it to be you and me forever. I want us to have loads of little Malfoy children, a mixture of us. Curly blond hair with golden brown coloured eyes. They would be the smartest little people in the whole Wizarding world." Draco smiled, cracking open the box and showing the Malfoy family ring that he had taken from the family vault. "Hermione Jean Granger, my darling, my love, will you make me the happiest idiot on the planet, and marry me?" He asked the question, staring up at her, awaiting the answer.
"Yes!" Hermione cheered out, flinging herself into Draco's arms. She wrapped her arms around his body, tearing up as she nodded against him. "A million times yes, darling." Hermione sobbed, grabbing his face and kissing him passionately. "I love you so much, a billion times yes. I will marry you in every single universe. Always us together, my darling." Hermione mumbled the words as his tongue pushed into her mouth. Draco's tongue was used to fighting for dominance but Hermione's tongue acted submissive as his tongue pushed against hers.
"I love you too," Draco mumbled as his arms wrapped possessively around her. They pulled away, Draco sliding the engagement ring onto her finger. "I love you so fucking much." Draco stared down at the hand, staring at the glistening, dainty ice jadeite diamond ring. It was gorgeous, Hermione had never seen anything like it before and she was engaged to be married. They stood up together and Draco's arms wrapped back around Hermione, kissing her once more.
"Did you ask—?" Hermione started but she was swiftly interrupted.
"I did. I researched Muggle traditions." Draco smiled, helping Hermione back into her chair and kissing her head. He moved his chair around the table, placing it down beside her, reaching and holding her hand as he sat back down. Draco's eyes remained on Hermione as his smile grew larger. "I asked your father and even your mother's permission for your hand." Draco rubbed his thumb against Hermione's knuckles, bumping over the engagement ring as they kept smiling at each other.

FLASHBACK: Granger family household, London — early January, early 2000s
"Draco, sweetheart, is everything alright?" Jean answered the door instantly, reaching out for the blond and holding his hand as she helped him into the house. They moved into the living room. "Do you want a cup of tea or coffee or something?" Jean questioned, staring at her daughter's boyfriend. He shook his head, clearing his throat as Richard entered the living room and stared at the blond younger man.
"No, I'm fine. I have come to ask your permission to marry Hermione." Draco just came straight out with it, there was no point trying to hide the reason for his visit, especially as he had come alone without Hermione.
"Permission to marry Hermione?!" Jean was close to screaming at what Draco had just admitted. Jean grabbed Richard's hand and stared at Draco, her eyebrows raised. "You're asking her to marry you?" Jean reasked, breathing heavily as she glanced at Draco. He nodded, smiling at Hermione's parent's reactions.
Draco cracked open the box which held the glistening, dainty ice jadeite diamond engagement ring that he had taken from his family vault. He explained to Richard and Jean that he removed all curses of the ring and had checked it over with Bill Weasley, who was a friend of Hermione's but also was a well-known curse breaker in the Wizarding World. Jean and Richard jumped forward, wrapping their arms around him and tightly squeezing him into a hug. Jean was sniffling, trying to hold back the tears but they clearly weren't wanting to stay in. She sniffled louder, pulling away from the hug and staring at Draco.
"Welcome to the family, son." Richard clapped him on the back, smiling warmly at the blond.

Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire — middle of June, two years later
A lulling silence gathered over the large crowd that was seated in the Malfoy Manor gardens. Draco was rubbing his hands against each other nervously, he had been a ball of nervous energy throughout the whole morning of getting ready and Theo and Blaise were threatening him with a slap over the head if he didn't calm down soon. A few shots of firewhiskey had helped to calm the blond's nerves but they were still there, simmering on the surface. Being outside with his family and friends had helped the simmering of emotions but things started to grow more extreme when it neared the time for the ceremony to start.
Kingsley Shacklebolt was making his way around the service, shaking hands and conversing with friends and family members of Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger. He moved closer towards where the groom and his groomsmen were standing at the front of the gardens, beside the aisle. Kingsley shook Draco's hand before slapping his arm around Harry, and then moving to shake the hands of Blaise and Theodore.
"Minister, thank you so much for coming." Draco nodded, smiling as he tried to hide how truly nervous he was feeling. He kept staring down the aisle, waiting for Hermione to appear but of course, he had still a few minutes to wait for her and her father's appearance at that end of the aisle. "And thank you so much for ordaining the wedding, myself and Hermione couldn't be happier with you hosting the ceremony." Draco smiled harder.
"You are very welcome, Draco." Kingsley nodded, calmly placing his hand on the blond's shoulder. "Everything will go well, you are a very lucky man, indeed." Kingsley continued before moving to converse with Draco's parents before standing in place at the front of the wedding aisle. As Draco stared down the aisle one more time, he noticed Jean moving down the aisle and stalking her way over towards where Draco and the other boys were standing.
"Draco," Jean reached out, hugging him into her arms. She squeezed him tight before pulling back and staring into his eyes. She sniffled. "She looks beautiful. You are one lucky man and she is a very lucky woman. I know that the two of you will treat each other right." Jean kissed his cheek before moving to sit with the small group of Hermione's cousins that had been invited to the wedding ceremony.
"Thank you, Jean," Draco smiled as he watched her move over towards the small group of Hermione's family.
Theo tapped him on the shoulder, properly turning towards the blond and nodded. "It's time." He commented. Draco nodded, smiling at one of his closest friends, someone he thought of as a brother. A brother he had never had.
Draco quickly hugged Theo and then hugged Blaise. "Thank you for being here for me today." He smiled.
"No tears. Not yet, wait for Hermione." Blaise whispered in his ear before the three Slytherins pulled away from the hug and stood in their correct positions. Draco stood near Kingsley, smiling at his mother and father before turning himself to look slightly down the wedding aisle. He stared down at the material runner on the ground before the music hit his eyes. The instrumental version of La Vie En Rose played out throughout the gardens as Hermione's bridesmaids slowly walked down the aisle.
Pansy walked down first, her long periwinkle-coloured bridesmaid dress tight against her body as she held her toddler daughter's hand. Pippa Longbottom-Parkinson carried a small wicker basket as she threw light periwinkle-coloured petals down on the aisle. Closely followed was Ginny, wearing the same style dress as Pansy, and holding the hand of her toddler daughter's hand. Lily Potter was wearing a similar coloured dress to the other bridesmaid but styled differently, almost similar style to the flower girl dress that Pippa was wearing.
Then Hermione and Richard were at the end of the aisle, she was gorgeous. The stars were glistening in the shine of her makeup. Draco stared into her eyes, the golden brown oozing calm throughout him for the first time that day before his eyes grazed over the wedding dress that he was seeing for the first time. It was better than he ever imagined. It was sheer and sparkled every time the sun shone down on the dress, her tanned skin was absolutely perfect as she moved slowly towards Draco. Richard whispered something to her, making her smile grow larger as she neared closer and closer.
Richard shook Draco's hand, nodding at the blond before lightly pressing his lips to his daughter's cheek. "I love you, Mi," Richard whispered before moving back and joining Jean where she was sitting. He nodded once more at Draco as Hermione joined by his side, smiling at her blond.
"Hi." She whispered, smiling warmly at him as she took in his appearance in his charcoal-grey suit. Her mouth dried at the sight. Hermione had always loved Draco in suits. Especially when they were so tailored and tight against his body.
"Hi," Draco mumbled back, smiling at her.
“Thank you for all attending today, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy thank you kindly for being here to witness this connecting. We are all gathered here today to witness the magical binding of two people in eternal matrimony,” Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt cleared his throat and had all the attention on him. Hermione smiled at him as he continued. “Marriage is not just the promise to love one another. It is the joining of two unique types of magics, sharing truly who and what you are at your inner core. Love is not about finding a missing half, but it's rather about finding the person whose heart and soul compliments your own. Today, we all here witness the marriage of two people who have experienced a great amount of love and heartbreaking filled loss, who knows that when you find the right person, you will fight through anything to be by their side.” The speech continued.
Hermione sniffled, slowly lifting a hand and brushing away a tear that was slipping down her cheek. She sniffled once more. Hermione thought of everything she had been through, and everything she had experienced with Draco. Love. Loss. Sorrow. Pain. Heartbreak. Love. She thought about it all, she would experience all of it again if it meant that she was back in this moment. Hermione would go through the love, the loss, the sorrow, the pain, and the heartbreak if it meant that she was back in this moment, marrying Draco.
“Please, join hands together,” Kingsley instructed. Hermione moved her left hand, joining it with Draco's. She wrapped it around Draco's left wrist, Draco's actions mirroring hers. They smiled at each other, and a gentle colouring blush appeared on her cheeks. Kingsley grabbed out his wand from his cloak pocket and placed the wood against the couple's joined wrists. “Hermione Jean Granger, do you come today, of your own free will, to marry Draco Lucius Malfoy? Do you vow to stand by his side in times of love and war, to lift him up when he is down, and to support him in times of need? Do you promise to bind your magic with his, forever joining yourself together as one, for as long as you both shall live?”
“I do.” Hermione nodded.
A soft golden-coloured light moved down her arm and winded itself around their hands. She could feel its warmth moving through their fingers. She sighed as the warmth of their magic moved throughout her body.
“Draco Lucius Malfoy, do you come today, of your own free will, to marry Hermione Jean Granger? Do you vow to stand by her side in times of love and war, to lift her up when she is down, and to support her in times of need? Do you promise to bind your magic with hers, forever joining yourself together as one, for as long as you both shall live?”
“I do.” Draco nodded, smiling.
Silver-coloured light moved down his arm, swirling with the gold light already waiting. The pulsing sensation picked up as the two lights danced together throughout their bodies, merging and melding into one brightest colour that anyone had ever seen. Hermione felt Draco grip her wrist tighter. She lifted her eyes to his, watching the lights as they were reflected back at her.
The lights grew brighter and brighter until it was like looking directly into the sun, Hermione winced at the brightest of the ball of magic. A burst of white magic exploded from their hands, encompassing them fully, blowing Hermione’s hair back from her face, almost ruining her perfectly styled wedding hairstyle. As the magic around them settled, Shacklebolt lifted his wand, pulling some of the white light with it. He brought the light over the piece of parchment to his left side and tapped his wand against it, the light seeping into the paper.
“It is with my greatest pleasure that I now pronounce you husband and wife. Draco, you may kiss your bride.” Kingsley announced as Draco's arms wrapped around Hermione's back as he pulled her in for the moment he had been waiting for. He pressed his lips against hers, swallowing her gasp and they concluded the ceremony with the most electric kiss that has ever happened between them.

Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire — middle of June, evening
The wedding had been a success but Draco couldn't wait to spend the night with Hermione underneath him, he was desperate to get her up to his bedroom. He wasn't even going to apparate them back to their flat in London, he was just going to go up to his childhood bedroom and force her into his bed. It had been a teenage horny dream to have Hermione Granger in his bed, he definitely wanked himself to the thought of the curly-haired Muggleborn in his bed with him.
With the final goodbye wished to their guests as several made their way into the Manor, family and close friends staying for the morning breakfast tomorrow. Hermione smiled warmly at her mother and father as Narcissa guided them into the Manor, showing them to the quarters where guests would be staying. Draco smirked as he snuck up behind his wife, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist before turning her around. She gasped as his lips attacked her neck.
"Draco!" Hermione moaned as Draco's hands trailed down her body and grabbed at her arse. She groaned as his hands continued roaming her body as his lips continued sucking at her neck. He was acting like a starved vampire that hadn't drunk anything in months.
"Wife," Draco moaned in her ear, giving her a second to understand before the pull of apparation tugged at her chest and transported them into his bedroom. He pushed Hermione straight down onto the mattress, staring at her wedding gown and he groaned loudly. "Fuck, you are so gorgeous. Merlin, can't believe that you are my fucking wife. How lucky am I?" Draco loomed over her body and the outline of his hardened cock pressed against her. Hermione arched her back, pulling on his tie and forcing her husband closer to her face.
"Draco, please!" Hermione moaned, she kissed him and pushed her tongue past his lips. She pulled away, teasing him with a smirk across her face. "Fuck me!" Hermione whispered.
"With pleasure!" Draco nodded, kissing her once more before pulling away from her body completely. He clicked his fingers and their outfits disappeared before he leaned over her body once more.
He slid his hand against his cock, wanking himself slowly before pushing himself between her thighs. He circled her clit with his cock before sliding him through her folds. She moaned louder, staring at Draco. Hermione whimpered before his cock slid deep inside of her cunt. Hermione's back arched off of the mattress as she pulled Draco in closer, kissing him as moans overtook her body.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Hermione moaned, her body shaking as her orgasm stalked closer.
"Come on wife, you can do it, baby." Draco coaked her closer towards that orgasm. "Come for me, my darling." He moaned in her neck, kissing the skin as he felt her get closer.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Hermione's moans were louder and louder before she screamed out, her orgasm washing over her body. Draco quickly followed after her, panting heavily in her neck as he collapsed on her body. He quickly moved off her and cuddled her into his side, naked skin against naked skin. "I love you!" Hermione kissed the words into his chest, he smiled against her head.
"I love you too, wife." Draco kissed her as he felt her dozing off to sleep. Slumber claimed the both of them as the exhaustion set into their bones after the crazy-filled day.
