Chapter 1: would you eat me if i were a gummy?

Chapter Text

It was Summer when this weird predicament started.

Kaveh, who rouses first, took his time in the bathroom before he begun on breakfast. His hair was usually tied up in a bun as he cooked, and that faithful day, Alhaitham had woken up before Kaveh was done cooking.

"It will be ready in a moment," he had said, frying the eggs still, "so just wait a little longer. Set the table if you want to help, but don't forget to match the silverware with the plates."

The demand fell on deaf ears, for Alhaitham, drowsy still, focused only on one thing.

It had then started once Kaveh felt lips on his neck, followed by teeth, followed by a bite. He squeaked in surprised, eyes wide, and the morning then followed with him constantly asking Alhaitham for an answer, one that never came.

The second time it happened was three days later, when Kaveh had been distracted with work. Alhaitham had stopped by his desk with water, but as Kaveh reached out to take the glass, Alhaitham took his hand instead, and bit his fingers.

Kaveh, dumbfounded, asked him about it, again, and was left with no answers, again.

The third time it happened, a day later, was after a night drinking at Lambad's tavern. Alhaitham, as always, carried Kaveh home, a drunken, giggly mess.

Kaveh's face was round, his skin soft. He took care of it well, everyday with balms and creams provided by Tighnari. Alhaitham bit him there, at the foyer, teeth meeting cheek.

Kaveh did not recall any of it the following day.

The fourth time it happened they were in bed, kissing. Kaveh did not know Alhaitham to be the kind who bites, preferring to leave marks with kisses. He bit him. Bit his neck, his shoulder, around his nipple, his waist, his hips, his thighs.

(Kaveh came from the bites alone.)

The fifth time it happened was the morning after.

"Alhaitham, seriously, what's with the biting lately?" Kaveh asked, still in bed.

"Business inquires aren't only until 9am." Alhaitham mumbled, arm snaked around Kaveh's waist.

"Haitham," Kaveh continued, "please. It's not like I don't like it. You always talk so much, and yet you can't answer me when I ask?"

Alhaitham sighed, his face sinking against the crook of Kaveh's neck, who yelped when Alhaitham bit him, again.

"Haitham!"

"Kaveh," Alhaitham interrupted, "I should not have to tell you that there is a reason love bites are called love bites."

Kaveh was speechless at the answer. They were supposed to be love bites? Why bite his fingers, then?!

"Why didn't you just tell me that on the first day?" Kaveh huffed.

"You are cuter when you don't understand something."

Kaveh couldn't stop the way his face warmed at the answer. "Then why did you tell me now?"

"You're loud, and it is seven in the morning."

At that, Kaveh smiled. Of course Alhaitham was the kind to express his love through actions, rather than words. Even now, after all, he clung to him, as though the closer they are, the easier it would be to reject morning.

"What if I bite you back, then?"

Alhaitham turned to look at Kaveh, a faint smile on his face. "Then I will bite you until the only thing you can do is moan my name."

"Y... You..! It's too early— h-hey, don't bite me! Alhaitham!!!"
