Jacob Chasler lost.
The kansen had lost.
Humanity has lost.
Jacob lied on the ground - pinned by a metal rod - in a pool of his own blood, observing the battle field.
A majority of the kansen had already fallen - either dying from the sirens instant bombardment of the port, or falling to the endless waves of humanoid sirens led by the arbiters.
The few kansen that remained were being wore down - like the ocean against a cliff - until they too, fell to the endless onslaught.
"Ironic isnt it?" A voice said from above to jacob. As jacob looked up with what little power he had left in his body, he saw observer - staring down at him with malice and elation.
"You who fought against destiny - defying all parameters and boundaries - falling to but a simple use of force," she said in her mocking robotic tone.
"But, im afraid that your journey ends here jacob chasler," observer says as she descends to the ground, walking up towards jacob and crouching next to him.
"This wasnt going to end any other way - your fate was sealed the moment you opposed us." Observer said as she raised her arm and went to impale jacob with it, only for a shield to form around jacob - blocking the attack.
"Oh?" Observer says as she turns around and looks down at the ground where the kansen who manifested the shield layed.
"Well. Well. Well, what do we have here?" She says as she walks up to the barely alive kansen and lifts them up.
The figure observer lifted up had White-Silver hair, a trench coat, and 4 wings - two on her head and 2 on her lower back.
"Well, if it isnt the anomaly~" observer says with glee, "here jacob let me show you the futility of your struggle - why you should have never opposed our will." observer says as she goes to impale daedalus - only to be stopped as daedalus seemingly catches observer by suprise, and stabs her in the head.
Daedalus was dropped back to the ground - as observer seemingly malfunctions - causing sparks to fly everywhere - before she went limp while standing.
After that - Daedalus crawls to the pinned jacob. through all the pain and suffering they were experiencing - until they finally reached him.
"My commander," she says softly, "My jacob - remember this," she begins "No matter what happens, no matter where we we end up - i will always love you..." she says as she breaths her last, and falls to the side.
Jacob just lays there, barely conprehending what has happend - before he see's observer stand straight up once more.
"Well that was troublesome," she says as she walks back over to jacob, "even with her sacrafice, she couldnt save you." observer says with sick mixture of glee and malice.
"In the end - you'll still die, whether i kill you or you bleed out - it doesnt matter," observer says as she re-summons her rigging and begins to float away.
As observer floats away - jacob finally loses his final battle - and perishs surrounded by the people he called 'family'.
[Life Functions Of Jacob T. Chasler have ceased]
A voice calls out from jacobs body, as observer turns around and looks on, as a strange green cube rises from his body.
[In Accordance to Protocol 10 - article 1 - the lazarus protocol is now in effect]
The voice says, as a blinding green light emanates from the cube.
Observer looks on in horror as she realizes what the cube will do if it succeeds - so she aims her rigging and fire upon it, only hitting an invisible shield that surrounded the cube.
[T-Minus 5 seconds]
Observer speeds towards the cube.
[T-Minus 4 seconds]
She tries to grab a hold of the cube, but it resists her.
[T-minus 3 seconds]
She tries to fire to fire at it once again, ending in the same result as before.
[T-minus 2 seconds - message from Commander Jacob T. Chasler now playing]
The cube says as observer looks on with shock and horror.
"Get fucked Observer - see you next time." Jacobs voice rings out from the cube.
[T-minus 1]
Observer stops her attacks, and simply looks down at the rapidly expanding light of the cube.
"Well played jacob," she says while slightly smiling, "well played."
[T-minus 0 - Lazarus protocol now in effect]
The cube says for one last time as a light brighter than the sun envelops everything - blanketing all of reality in a bright green glow.

Jacob awoke from in his office - having had a strange dream, that he could not recall.
As jacob is trying to remember the dream he had - he see's his new secretary - daedalus - walk into the room with a tray of tea and snacks.
Jacob simply smiles at her, as she puts the tray down onto the table.
"Something the matter commander?" She asks, as jacob just shakes his head.
"No daedalus," he says "everything is just fine." He smiles as the both them enjoy their break, and their company.
Unaware of the fate that had befallen them once before.
