Note: this is before nemesis attacked and before ChibiUsa went to the past
It's been a few weeks since the events of the Great Sleep and the sudden appearance of the King and Queen of the world happened. Most establishments have already started opening and most of the confusion has been addressed by the King and Queen and almost everyone seems to have accepted the new change for the world.
Everyone except the Tsukino's.
Ever since everyone has awoken from The Great Sleep, the Tsukino's eldest daughter along with all of her friends and her boyfriend suddenly disappeared. They tried contacting them for ages now but to no avail, they brought this up to the police, nothing.
Ikuko let out a long sigh, she was alone in their house. Kenji has started going to work again and Shindo was hanging out with a few friends of his and was staying the night at the house of one of them.
Ikuko found herself inside Usagi's room, looking through her old things. She saw a picture frame on her nightstand, it was a picture of Usagi and her boyfriend, Mamoru. They looked so happy together. She regretted not getting to know the boy more, looking back at it, he was probably the best person that Usagi could date. She knew that Kenji would disagree, but she knew that he knew that Mamoru would be the perfect match for Usagi, he just couldn't let go of his precious daughter away. She gave a small chuckle at the thought of her husband not being able to accept the fact that Usagi had a boyfriend that fit all of his standards.
Another item that she saw on that nightstand was a star locket. Ikuko remembered that she would sometimes find Usagi listening to the melody whenever she felt upset or just really happy. She also remembers her saying that someone really special gave the locket to her during the car ride to the hot spring place. Ikuko could only assume it was Mamoru who had given it to her, but that was way before they started dating, so who could it be? She asked her daughter that before but she didn't answer it, so Ikuko didn't force her to answer anymore.
She sat down on her daughter's bed, crumpling the fluffy, unused blanket that was spread out neatly on the mattress. She looked around her room, just noticing that their black cat is not here too.. Where could she have gone again?
A loud knock from downstairs snapping Ikuko from her thoughts, she got up and made her way downstairs to open the door to reveal two finely dressed people, a man and a woman. The man was very tall and had long white hair and pale skin with green eyes. He wore a white long sleeved shirt, his shirt had a hole that exposed his belly button.. The lower part also had a few straps. And he wore a necklace of two crescent moons, speaking of that crescent moon, he had a symbol of that same moon on his forehead.
As for the woman, she had long wavy black hair that reached her hips, with four small space buns on her head. She had blue eyes and fairly pale skin, on her forehead was that same crescent moon like the male next to her. As for her clothes she wore a yellow spaghetti strap dress black ruffles in the ends, she also had a bow tied around her neck, the color matching with her dress.
Ikuko decided to speak first. "Good afternoon, is there anything I can help you with?" She asked and gave a polite smile
The male cleared his throat, "Good afternoon Mrs. Tsukino. We are the Royal Advisors. I am Artemis" the male introduced himself and the woman spoke "And I am Luna." The two gave a small bow, "we work directly under King Endymion and Neo-Queen Serenity. We have been sent to you as per their Majesty's orders, we will be personally taking you to the Crystal Palace along with Mr. Tsukino." Luna continued.
Ikuko froze, did they do anything bad? A million thoughts were running in her head. Artemis spoke again, "We assure you that you guys have done nothing wrong, however, we cannot tell the reason why the King and Queen wants to see you, you will find out when you meet them personally." Artemis explained in a stern voice, Ikuko sighed in relief, and nodded
"I understand, when will we have to go to the palace?" Ikuko asked
"As soon as possible, we don't want to keep their Majesty's waiting." Luna answered
"My husband is not home yet though.." Ikuko trailed off
"We've already sent someone to escort him to the palace, he should be there or is on his way there already." Artemis responded, and Ikuko gave a look of surprise
"Oh alright" Ikuko said, a bit surprised
“Would it be too much if I change and leave a note for my son first?” Ikuko asked, and the two nodded
“Not at all.” Luna shakes her head “We will be waiting for you outside your house in that car over there.” Luna pointed to a black car in front of their house and Ikuko nodded

Ikuko went upstairs to her and Kenji’s room in a bit of a hurry to find appropriate clothes to wear. She’s a bit conflicted because, well obviously, this is the King and Queen of not just Japan, but the whole earth! Not many have this chance to meet them, so she wondered, what could they possibly have done to have this opportunity? She questions, but shakes her head and starts looking at their wardrobe. Luna said that they shouldn’t keep the King and Queen waiting after all so she has to make haste.

Ikuko finished changing to more formal clothes, not something that you’d wear to a party or something similar, nor something too casual like a picnic. She went downstairs shortly after and left a note to Shingo if he ever decided to come home today.
She went outside and found Artemis waiting outside a black car, he opened the door to the back passenger seat. She went inside and he closed the door, he went inside the driver's seat soon after. And now they were on their way to the Crystal Palace

The ride to the palace was a quiet one, granted, the driver's seat and the front passenger seat had a cover so she couldn't hear anyone in the front.
The car stopped, it was now right in front of a different entrance to the palace? Ikuko wasn't even sure if this was there in the first place. She saw Luna get out of the car and talked to one of the guards who went to them. The guard bowed to Luna and opened the door to the passenger seat. She saw Luna raise her hand and gestured to her to come outside, so she did.
Ikuko got out of the car and the guard closed the car door behind her, surprising her a little. She looked around the palace made out of crystal, it was so beautiful, it didn't feel like they were on earth. She stared at the palace in awe, completely mesmerized by its beauty.
A few minutes later another car arrived, and inside was Kenji. Ikuko quickly went to him.
"Did they tell you why we're both here?" Ikuko asked her husband
Kenji shook his head, "no they didn't, I'm just as confused as you are" he responded
The two were talking to each other until another person came out of the palace.
"You may see their Majesty's now!" A more cheery girl said. She had gray hair and space buns similar to Luna. She had magenta eyes and the same forehead mark as Luna and Artemis. She wore a long sleeve shirt and had a mini skirt with hints of yellow and a white ruffle underneath. She also has a collar of some sort and a cat tail… Ikuko guesses she probably works under the King and Queen as well.
“Mr and Mrs. Tsukino, please follow Diana. She will escort you.” Luna explained, the couple nodded and walked towards the younger girl. She led them to the palace entrance and the doors shut right behind them. Startling Ikuko and Kenji.

They’ve been following Diana for a few minutes now, the inside of the palace was so beautiful and it was definitely larger inside. There were corridor after corridor, it seemed never ending. Just how huge was this palace?
Diana led them to a room that was larger than any of the rooms they’ve seen inside the palace. Long white pristine curtains were draped around the entrance of this particular room, Ikuko has a feeling this is where their Majesty’s are in. Diana opens the huge double door to reveal a huge room inside.
The three went inside the room, Kenji and Ikuko were blasted with a bright, warm light, it was almost welcoming. The couple stared at the room in awe, they noticed that there were long curtains covering another part of the room. Then, Diana spoke
“King Endymion and Neo-Queen Serenity, Mr and Mrs. Tsukino have arrived.” Diana announced in a more serious and loud voice while kneeling down. Kenji and Ikuko kneeled as well, shocked to hear that the two rulers of the world might just be right in front of them, a curtain being the only thing separating them.
The curtains opened and Ikuko and Kenji stared at the two figures that were behind it. It was really them.
“You may rise, Diana, and our dear guests.” A soft, but stern female voice said. Kenji and Ikuko knew who this was, long silver hair, and a beautiful white gown with yellow accents, pale skin and clear blue eyes. It was the Queen who ruled all of Earth. Next to her was a tall man who had thick black hair, a white mask and a white tuxedo. He was, no doubt, King Endymion.
The three complied immediately and stood up, the couple got a better look at the two royals in front of them. They looked so majestic and powerful.
“Diana, you are dismissed.” Neo-Queen Serenity ordered, Diana gave a small bow and left the room. Now that it was only Kenji and Ikuko in front of the King and Queen, they were obviously shaken to the core.
The King cleared his throat, "so, Mr and Mrs. Tsukino, I'm sure that you must be confused on why you were summoned here, is that correct?" He asked the two calmly.
"Indeed your highness, though with all due respect, I’d like to ask why you request to only see me and my wife?” Kenji asked the two royals.
“First in foremost, we apologize for not stating why we wanted you here in the first place, we did not want you both to worry.” King Endymion apologized to the couple.
Kenji and Ikuko suddenly started thinking of the worst, did they know where Usagi was? Was she not alright if they did?? Their thoughts were interrupted when the Queen spoke.
“Secondly, we know about your daughter going missing, Tsukino Usagi.” The Queen stated, Kenji and Ikuko’s eyes widened, was she hurt? Is she alright??
“Your Majesty, is our daughter alright?!” The two immediately asked, worry evident in their eyes, scared but eager to know what happened to their daughter.
Neo-Queen Serenity smiled softly, “Mr and Mrs. Tsukino, please calm down first” the Queen said, Kenji and Ikuko kneeled down again, completely forgetting that they were talking to a royal a few moments ago, but fear and worry is still very obvious in their faces.
“We deeply apologize to your highness.” Kenji and Ikuko said in unison, Neo-Queen Serenity approached them. Making the couple worry even more.
“Mom, dad, there’s no need to be worried, I'm perfectly fine, I’m not hurt or anything.” The Queen reassured the two people kneeling right in front of her.
“Your Majesty…” Ikuko trailed off as she stared at Neo-Queen Serenity in the eyes. The Queen gave a small but cheerful smile, knowing that Ikuko was starting to connect the dots. Ikuko kept staring at the Queen, eyes wide, not even caring if she was being rude. Now that she looked at it, the woman in front of her resembled her own daughter a lot. From the two odango buns, to her perfectly clear, blue eyes..
“Usagi…?” Kenji choked out, Neo-Queen Serenity kept her smile.
“Yes?” The Queen responded, the smile on her face not leaving, Ikuko couldn’t believe her eyes, tears started streaming down her face as she rushed to hug her daughter, The Neo-Queen Serenity. Kenji joined in their hug soon after
.
When Kenji and Ikuko recovered from the shock from the reveal they let go of their daughter who had a smile on her face the whole time, though they could see small tears in the corner of her eyes.
“Your Majesty I—“ Ikuko said but was interrupted by Neo-Queen Serenity, or Usagi.
“No need for formalities, you already know my old identity” Serenity stated
“Right.. Usagi, how exactly did you.. Become Neo-Queen Serenity in the first place..?” Ikuko asked
“And if you’re Usagi, does King Endymion have a past identity as well?” Kenji asked, to which Endymion stiffened but no one noticed.
“I’ll explain it to you both later, as for dad’s question, I suppose only Endymion can answer that” Serenity looked at Endymion and he nodded, the King walked towards them
“Though you may know me as Endymion, my old name is Chiba Mamoru.” Endymion said Kenji and Ikuko stared at him in disbelief, The King, Neo-Queen Serenity or Usagi's, husband. He was Chiba Mamoru??
Ikuko could feel her husband's anger rising and she gave a small chuckle.
“Usagi—“ Kenji was interrupted by the doors to the room opening, they could see two figures running towards them.
“Small Lady!” A female voice called out, they could see a smaller person run towards them.
They could see the child run to Serenity. She looked around to be 3 or 4? The small girl had light pink hair in pigtails with buns that looked like bunny ears, she also had the same crescent mark on her forehead like Serenity. She wore a peach colored gown with ruffled sleeves and a large bow on her back.
“Your Majesty! I do deeply apologize for interrupting your meeting—Small Lady she.. She really wanted to see you, she outran the servants too..” The other woman said, quickly kneeling down. Judging by her clothes she looked like one of those ‘Senshi’ that Kenji and Ikuko would see often on TV.
“It’s quite alright, Jupiter, you may go now.” Serenity reassured as she carried the pink haired child in her arms. The Senshi bowed and left the room.
“Small Lady, is there something you wish to tell us?” Endymion asked the little girl in Serenity’s arms
“Nope!” The pink haired girl shook her head, “I just wanted to see mama and papa!” She exclaimed, now hugging Serenity’s neck. Kenji and Ikuko were once again, very shocked.
“Usagi, you’re a mother!?” They both asked in unison, making the child jump a bit.
“Small Lady, go and introduce yourself” Serenity asked with a smile, she put her down.
The small girl curtsied and spoke. “Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to be here. I am Usagi Small Lady Serenity. Daughter of Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion, and the first princess of the Silver Millennium.” She introduced herself. “I am honored to make your acquaintance.” She finished.
Kenji looked at them in disbelief while Ikuko stared, eyes wide. They couldn’t believe what they just heard, their daughter had a child of her own now.
The Small Lady looked a bit uncomfortable under their gaze and went to hide behind Serenity, who gave a small laugh at her daughter's action.
“Did I say something wrong? Mama, why are they staring?” Small Lady asked quietly while tugging at Serenity’s dress. While the two in question, stopped staring at the princess, noticing that they were making her uncomfortable.
Serenity kneeled beside her daughter and shook her head a little, “No, my princess you did a great job” Serenity smiled, Small Lady looked at her father who also nodded in approval. Small Lady’s eyes lit up and hugged Serenity again. They stayed like that for a few moments, but alas, peace was not kept for long when they felt an angry aura in the room.
“So, Usagi, are you gonna explain to your dear parents about this?” Kenji asked firmly, anger was laced in his voice. Endymion gulped, while Serenity laughed awkwardly
“Surprise?…” The Queen chuckled, standing up, smoothening her skirt. While Endymion scratched his neck awkwardly. The air was tense around them, even the small princess could feel it, she hid behind her mother again.
“So are we getting an answer?” Kenji asked once again, his anger very much obvious on his face.
“Kenji.. How about we let them explain, calmy?” Ikuko tried to calm her husband down, albeit she was also nervous, but she tried her best. But it seems like Kenji was not having it.
“No, I want you both to explain right now.” Kenji demanded
“Dad, we’ll explain it to you, but can you calm down as we do so?” Serenity asked, Kenji sighed and nodded. The air felt way more calmer now than before.
“I suppose we should just explain from the start then?” Serenity asked Endymion, who nodded. “Alright then.”
“Small Lady, is it alright if you play with Luna-P for a bit? Your mother and I have to discuss something very important to our guests.” Endymion asked the little princess, who was obviously sad to leave her parents but understood that it was important so she left the room.
Now that it was only them, Serenity and Endymion started to explain everything in great detail, from Usagi finding Luna to her fighting youmas to eventually finding out she was the reincarnation of the Moon Princess and fought Beryl, to them fighting the Black Moon clan and the Dead Moon circus until their ascension to the throne as Earth’s new rulers.
Needless to say, Kenji and Ikuko were a mix of emotions after. They couldn’t even begin with something, first, Usagi was Sailor Moon, and it happened when she was in eighth grade! She was risking her life fighting these non-human monsters at that young! Then, she was a reincarnation of an old princess from a Moon Kingdom?! The two Tsukino's minds were blown.
“I know it’s a lot to take in, I hope you won’t be mad” Serenity said calmly
“We can’t be mad at you.. You both and the rest of the Seshi had a huge responsibility back then..” Ikuko trailed off
“And we still do even now” Endymion added
“I’m sorry for not revealing this to you both sooner, I—“ Serenity apologized but Ikuko jumped at her and pulled her into a hug, tears were now streaming down her face. Kenji joined in the hug soon after.
“Usagi, we understand.. Even if we’re your parents, I don’t think we could’ve handled this before. We forgive you for not telling us, after all it’s a huge weight on your shoulders too.. ” Kenji stated, Ikuko nodded in agreement. This time, it was Serenity’s turn to be misty-eyed, as she hugged them both tightly.
“Mamoru, please join us, we have yet to thank you for saving our daughter’s life countless times. You’re our hero.” Ikuko asked Endymion, who looked a bit taken aback by the sudden request.
“I let her die once.. I’m hardly a he—” Endymion didn’t get to finish his sentence when Serenity practically pulled him to join their group-hug.
…
After everyone calmed down eventually, Small Lady came back to the room and was now sleeping soundly in her father’s arms.
“Mamoru, I’ll say it again, but thank you for being there for Usagi and saving her when we couldn’t.” Ikuko thanked Endymion and bowed deeply, “words cannot express how grateful we are that Usagi has someone like you.” Ikuko continued
“I’ll always protect my family with everything I have.” Endymion said seriously, to which Ikuko smiled
“Also, Kenji may not show it, but he likes you a lot more than before now, I do hope on our next encounter he’ll be nicer to you” Ikuko added, and Kenji crossed his arms.
“I do hope that as well.” Endymion gave a slight smile
“We have to get going now,” Ikuko said, “ though is it alright if we visit sometime? I’d like to meet my granddaughter more formally.” She finished
“Yes, that’s alright, if you both want to visit you may, but please do not tell Shingo about this yet.” Serenity asked her parents, “I’d like to tell him that in a later time. This is goodbye for now, I’ll send someone to escort you back outside, a car will be waiting to take both of you home there.”
“Thank you, Usagi. We’ll miss you a lot too” Ikuko said as she hugged Usagi one final time, Kenji also joined in
“Have a safe trip home!” Serenity said happily while waving goodbye, Endymion also waved.

Ikuko looked back at her daughter’s very own family now, she has a wonderful husband and an adorable daughter. It feels like it was just yesterday when she was scolding Usagi for her terrible grades, now her once very klutzy daughter is now a beautiful and matured woman, Ikuko smiled happily and left the room with her husband.
