Author POV
The Kalos region one of the most scenic and popular regions , known for its sweets, showcases and one of the biggest discoveries researchers have ever made since paradox Pokémon…mega evolution. It is also one of the neighboring regions alongside Galar and Paldea. Where two years ago the latter experienced a isolated disaster involving the paradox Pokémon being let loose onto the world. Luckily with the help of a trainer named Florian and the legendary Pokémon Koraidon Paldea is saved from being sent back into the possible Stone Age.
Though some of the professors outside of Paldea don’t know how was this possible , since the person who researched on regional variants from ancient times. Was the late Professor Sada who died tragically long ago , though it’s a mystery on what happened to her husband Professor Turo. Who disappeared after the two divorced when Sada became to involved in her work. Not even their own friends and colleagues within and outside Paldea, could figure out why Sada had changed so much and even started neglecting her own child in the process.
Despite this the Paradox Professor kept driving everyone away. Eventually her own son didn’t want to have anything to do with her, with one of the few friends and colleagues who still talks to her , is also headmaster of Paldea’s main academy stepped in and took him under his wing.
Which resorted in that one of the academy’s newest students to save the entire region. As well the student named Florian becoming the newest champion after defeating the previous one La Primera a.k.a Geeta. Everyone in Paldea celebrated like there was no tomorrow (which there almost wasn’t one) with the bonds of human and Pokémon a like becoming stronger then ever before. Though due to what happened a lot of the parents had their concerns of their daughter still attending Naranja academy due to professor Sada previously teaching there…especially Miriam the school nurse and her husband. Though the headmaster reassured the couple , which resorted in Miriam staying in Paldea for another year as the academy’s nurse. Until she and her family moved to Kalos when their daughter named Angel just turned 14.
Another year has passed since her family has settled in Lumiose city , for Angel’s father to be close to his work as a assistant for the region’s Professor and also to be closer to her Pokémon. That she always had ever since getting her starter from her former headmaster from Paldea ever since starting at the academy. One day Angel went out on a walk near Prism Tower with her Feucoco walking alongside her, where she sees a energetic boy with a Pikachu trying to pry the door open to the gym which is on the highest floor. Angel never got to participate in the Kalos gym challenge when she first moved to the region. Since it wasn’t really her thing, plus one gym challenge in Paldea was enough for her.
Though after befriending the Pikachu Boy whose name is Ash. As well befriending Clemont and his little sister after helping them to save Professor Sycamore’s Garchomp ,that somehow ended up on the top of Prism Tower. She decides to join them on their journey throughout Kalos and to figure out on she wanted to be in life. Battling never really crossed Angel’s mind, though there were times that her Feucoco got pretty fired up. Whenever he watched Ash battling other trainers and there were a couple of times that Feucoco attempted to join in, though Angel and Eevee (a Pokémon she took in after its trainer abandoned it at the Lumiose City Lab) quickly shut that down. Due to the little Fire Croc Pokémon having accidentally almost caused a few forest fires from his enthusiasm.
Though for now Feucoco had to put all that energy into performing alongside Eevee and his Trainer in showcases. Which both Angel and Oshawott prefer doing more since she was more a bit like her new friend Serena , with both girls being creative and passionate about showcases in their own way. Although they wouldn’t admit it to each other that they were at very jealous of their artistic talents, for most of the journey Angel had some trouble with baking then with cooking. Since she was never able to get the Macarons or Pokepuffs sweet enough as she wanted for the Pokémon , but it wasn’t until Serena showed her how to get the right amount of sweetness for the macarons. The two girls started to along a bit better after Angel had made herself the shy and reserved member of the group.
The two girls officially became best friends when Angel showed Serena a slightly altered sketch of her showcase outfit. To which Serena was happy about how she would be able to spruce up her showcase outfit , while also helping Angel to find the ponytailed blonde a showcase outfit for her. Besides her friendship with Serena, she is also good friends with Clemont and his younger sister Bonnie. With the little girl often spending time with her and her Pokémon, also dragging her to whichever new Pokémon she had spotted. There were also a few times that Clemont had turned red in the face whenever she got to close , but Angel just assumes that Clemont had a bad fever that wouldn’t want to easily go away. As well that one time when Clemont’s Electrike that she traded for his chespin, started acting weird where it a bit insistent then normal. Turns out Electrike wanted to show them something, where a group goldeen were swimming in the nearby river.
Now with Ash, so far Angel’s friendship with him is just like any other friendship. Though the two tend to battle each other often , so that her Feucoco could get most it’s energy out. That is until the fire croc Pokémon evolved into Crocalor after having several more practice battles between Ash and his Fletchinder when it was almost time for Ash’s fourth Gym Battle. Not to mention he is one of the people to help Angel to overcome her stage fright when she first started performing. Although one day things started to change, a week after her cousin Korrina gifts her an Egg which hatched into a Riolu. Angel realized that she might have feelings for Ash after he saved her, when Team Rocket made another attempt to Capture Pikachu. Alongside Serena’s recently evolved Braixen, Electrike and Oshawott (a Pokémon gifted by Professor Sycamore when she stayed at his summer camp), where the Blondette discovers that she can be pretty reckless when it comes to saving her and her friends Pokémon.
Which brings to us now with the five friends are making a detour from Geosenge Town to Lumiose City. Towards the airport where Angel is leaving for Sinnoh to become a better performer, while her best friend Serena is leaving for Hoenn. With the girl’s Crocalor now fully evolved into Skeledirge and her third team member Riolu fully evolved into Lucario, following Oshawott evolved into Dewott during the battle Lumiose City. Now has a full team to help her in becoming the best Pokémon performer there is, though she is going to miss her new friends and family very much when she parts ways with them at the airport. Now as the five friends are preparing to say their goodbyes while getting closer to their destination, where not to long ago a catastrophe accord.
Where Ash and his friends defeated the evil team in Kalos called ‘ Team Flare ‘, after competing in the Kalos league and won second place. Clemont was kidnapped by one of Team Flare’s scientists named Xerosic in revenge for defeating the evil team in trying to activate power plant that contained the Legendary Pokémon of Kalos Yveltal. As well involving another Zygarde that a cell Bonnie named Squishy was part of, which almost resorted in Greninja leaving Ash. Though luckily Zygarde convinced Greninja to go back to his trainer, after helping Zygarde destroy any remaining roots surrounding Lumiose City. Where their stewing is cut short by a bigger version of Clemont’s Aipom arm grabbing Pikachu, Dedenne and Eevee ,with three familiar voices shouting their familiar tedious motto. As a certain hot air balloon emerges from the tall trees.
“Prepare for trouble!”
“And make it double!”
“To protect the world from devastation!”
“ To unite all people within our nation!
“ To denounce the evils of truth and love!”
“To extend our reach to the stars above!”
“ It’s Jessie!”
“ And James!”
“Team Rocket, Blast off at the speed of light!”
“Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight! “
“ Meowth! That’s right!” Doing their signature pose after finishing their motto. “TEAM ROCKET!?” Ash and his four friends exclaimed , with Angel being one of the louder ones. Out of annoyance of course.
“You couldn’t leave Kalos quietly could you?” The blondette , tells team rocket while clutching tight the bracelet containing her keystone.
“The nerve! Honestly you should be grateful Ponytail twerpette, that we are gladly to take your Lucario off your hands.” Just as Jessie says that, Eevee let’s out a cry in the cage. With James and Meowth sweat drop, when Jessie shouts at them to get the correct Pokémon.
“Oh no you don’t! Pikachu use Iron Tail.” “Dedenne use Tackle!” “ Eevee use Shadow Ball!” Ash, Bonnie and Angel ordered their Pokémon to use the mentioned moves to free themselves. Only this time instead of the machine blowing up like usual, the moves only left a dent with a noticeable white glow surrounding the machine. Which Angel knows all to well from a certain crystal back in her home region.
Jessie cackles when seeing that the power source they “borrowed” as an alternative is working. “Neat isn’t it? This crystal we installed is feulling the giant version of the Aipom arm that inventor twerp has. ” She says to the kids.
With Meowth continuing “And the best part , it absorbs those moves and converts it into energy for the crystal powering the arm.”
“No more blasting off from now on.” James added as all of them shouted HOORAY ! In unison with Wobuffet popping up saying “ Woooobuffet!” while saluting.
This frustrates Angel even more to the point that Pokéballs inside her bag start rattling so much, one Pokéball in particular is thrashing around so much where the Blondette realizes it’s Lucario sensing her distress and frustration. She gently pats her bag to calm them down and starts running head on towards the machine and team rocket. While jumping onto the large Aipom arm underneath the Meowth Shape Balloon. Jessie becomes frustrated and decides to fly the balloon away with their unwanted passenger on board, with Ash, Serena, Bonnie and Clemont running after them.
Angel then tries to free her and her friends Pokémon by coating her hand , (the one that isn’t holding onto the machine ) in a thin coat of blue colored aura and start punching the crystal. Despite the aura around her arm starting to flicker and turning into a light teal color, she continues to punch the crystal. The shining rock starts to glow white with dust scattering around it that shines to give the illusion of sparkles surrounding it , that is when Angel realizes that it’s a normal type terastal crystal. Which makes her worry on what the consequences are, since her homeroom teacher Mr. Jacq never said anything what would happen if the crystals would still work as intended if they left Paldea…to which Angel is about to find out very soon.

After a few miles of chasing Team Rocket, Ash jumped onto the large Aipom arm. Joining Angel to help her in freeing their Pokémon , the Blondette lightly blushes. Yet resumes to keep punching the crystal despite the aura around her hand faded away. The infamous trio’s desperation is starting to show when Jessie brings out her Gourgeist and James his Inkay respectively.
“Gourgeist use Shadow Ball!” “Inkay use Psywave” the duo give their Pokémon commands and they follow with launch purple energy spheres and fuchsia colored waves towards Ash and Angel. Luckily for the two Angel’s Eevee launched a powerful Shadow Ball to push deflect the moves in the other direction. Unfortunately this results the moves to hit into a nearby cliff where Bonnie was standing at , where her scream could be heard as she falls off the edge.
“BONNIE!” Her older brother cries out horrified. Angel sees this and brings the Pokéball where her sixth and final team member Golbat appears. Already flying in the air eager to help its trainer, as the Bat Pokémon flaps its wings.
“Golbat! Save Bonnie! I’ll be fine, just go!” Angel tells the Psychic type to which it obeyed, as the bat Pokémon dives down at neck-breaking speed to save Bonnie. A few moments passed and a cry can be heard , with Bonnie cheering as Angel’s Golbat flies back up.
Everyone sighed in relief (except for Team Rocket), but before everyone could rest easy Meowth thought it would be the best to jump and use fury swipes on both Ash and Angel. As an effort to get rid of their unwanted passengers, but Golbat saw what is about to happen. With the Poison Type launching a powerful Air Cutter towards the crystal, with Meowth getting caught in the crossfire to get knocked out and lands on the outer palm. Where the crystal to absorbs the move , though this time inside the exposed chamber (without the glass protecting it), the crystal starts to shake as it starts have an odd reaction to the Air Cutter. In combining with the other moves as well the Aura punches by Angel earlier.
With one of the large digits of the robotic Aipom Arm breaking off , from the shaking. Luckily it becomes loose enough for Pikachu to get out of it’s grip, but before Dedenne and Eevee could jump to safety. The shaking from the broken Aipom arm escalates so much, that it’s shaking the entire Ballon. Causing Ash and Pikachu to lose their grip and fall off, luckily for them Noivern popped out of it’s Pokéball and swooped down to catch them in time.
Everyone sighed in relief seeing that Ash is out of harm’s way, but Angel wasn’t out of the woods yet. Once she sends Eevee back in her pokeball , sounds of the crystal can be heard cracking. “I have to make this quick.” She says while scooping Dedenne in her arms, but she then sees Meowth is still unconscious. Despite her knowing that Team Rocket is evil, they aren’t as evil like Team Flare was and she knew that it would be wrong to leave a pokemon behind…even if said they tried to get to rid of you. Though Angel had a feeling it was a little more complicated then that, without further pondering the Blondette quickly scoops up meowth in her arms while Dedenne climbs into her bag. Though not before punching one more time on the chord that is holding the claw where it starts falling into a deep ravine…with Angel now realizing still being on it. Where the team rocket Air balloon is flying over, ‘Great…just what I need right now!’ Angel yells internally.
As her friends are watching from the side lines, where everything stops into slow motion. Where Golbat is flying towards them with Bonnie still hanging onto its feet, as the terastal crystal breaks with the spent up energy mixing into an explosion of Purple, Turquoise and Yellow. Shards of Terastal crystals flying everywhere and towards the Team Rocket air balloon as the shockwave can be felt pushing everyone back. It’s chaos with Ash and Pikachu on Noivern attempting to fly closer, until they are pushed back to the cliff’s edge.
Where Clemont and Serena are standing several feet away hanging onto trees, to not be blown away. While Jessie and James were not so lucky, “Team Rocket is blasting off again!” The duo shout in unison as they are flying towards the sky. The winds blows hard for a few more seconds when it dies down, as the colors making up the moves that were trapped inside the crystal are starting to fade.
Once everything has calmed down , Clemont runs up with his Luxray out of its Pokéball. With its X-Ray vision activated to look for the two girls and the Bat Pokémon. “Bonnie! Angel! WHERE ARE YOU? “ Clemont shouts with Luxray calling out for Swoobat and Dedenne, with Pikachu and Noivern calling to help the Gleam Eyes Pokemon. “Pi Pikachuuuu!” “Va rooooh!”
Ash walks up and sees his friend tearing up, worrying over his sister and their friend. “Don’t worry Clemont we’ll find them.” Ash tells Clemont with determination. “What if we don’t-“ “We will this I promise you. Until we find them Bonnie has Angel to take of her. You saw how worried Angel can be if we even have a small argument.” Ash says with Serena chiming in.
“Plus Bonnie and the Pokémon will be eating well when Angel is cooking.” Ash chuckling when remembering how Serena was jealous at Angel for being able to perform without fail. When she first started her journey as a Pokémon performer alongside Angel , but after she gave Serena some encouraging words. The two became best friends , though their friendship almost took a nosedive. When Angel revealed to her best friend that she has feelings for Ash , but both decided to let Ash choose which one of them he has feelings for…though Ash isn’t aware of that fact.
Serena walks up to Ash and Clemont, with the latter trying hard not to break into tears. But Serena surprises them by saying “We shouldn’t give up , when we haven’t even started looking for them. Clemont I know you’re worried , but remember Angel is tough too.”
“Ain’t that the truth , every time we got confronted by evil teams or rivals. She either is nice or not nice to them, it wouldn’t surprise me that Team Rocket is on her list of ‘Evil Teams and people that annoy me’ after this.” Ash says with a laugh. Remembering how Angel would become the mother Fearow of the group if anything bad were to happen to her friends and their Pokémon .
Clemont gives them a sad smile and nods towards his friends “You’re right. Let’s go tell Professor Sycamore what just happened, maybe he’ll have some answers.” “Right!” The two said in unison with Serena blushing heavily. Their Pokémon crying out in agreement with their trainers.
“Oh! Ash, Serena I almost forgot-“ Clemont says , while remembering that Serena and Ash are about to leave. “ Clemont it’s fine , I’ll call my mom at the next Pokémon Center to tell her that plans have changed.” “Same here. Right now you need our help.” Ash and Serena cut him off declaring their readiness to help their friend.
Clemont nods and wipes the remaing tears away, with determined expression to match his friends. The three friends resume their journey towards Lumiose City, but this time with a new purpose.
‘Bonnie…Angel, and Dedenne please be okay…wherever you three are. Hopefully Meowth doesn’t get you all in trouble in which dimension you’re in.’ Clemont says internally , while looking over at the spot. Where his friend and sister disappeared moments ago. As Clemont looks over where Angel and Bonnie disappeared he blinks when catching a glimpses of something bright Orange in the distance. He his shocked on this Pokémon’s unique appearance, but before he can get a better look the mysterious pokemon vanishes. Though Clemont now has another priority besides finding their lost friend his little sister.
‘Hmm…I wonder if Professor Sycamore knows about a bright Orange Pokémon with feathers on its head?’
~~~~Somewhere in a far away city~~~~
In a section of a large city near the outskirts of it, lay two silhouettes of a girl no older then in her early teens and a younger girl possibly in her preteens. Both lay still until the older girl who is Angel gets woken up , by a familiar sounding voice. “Wake up Twerpette.” Meowth says after just waking up earlier the moment they were teleported in a forest…strangely absent of any Pokémon.
Angel groans waking to Meowth’s voice which oddly sounds…deeper? After opening her eyes and getting a good look around the forest, she uses her aura to see if any Pokémon are nearby. Except there aren’t any Pokémon at least not in this forest, for some reason the forest felt…sad. Like it housed so many pokemon here , but now it feels oddly empty. Yet Angel just couldn’t pinpoint why it is that way, until Meowth points out something to the Blondette “ Uh twerpette, was your hair longer the last time or did you get a haircut?”
This causes Angel to freeze in shock as she slowly fishes a mirror out of her bag. While grunts of Swoobat waking up nearby and Bonnie groaning, which cause a recently awoken Dedenne to cry out in joy. While rushing towards the girl, but then he stops looking in shock to see Bonnie look…shorter then the antenna Pokémon is to used to seeing her. As well her side ponytail isn’t that long then it was minutes ago , where it’s shorter now.
“Dedenne, you’re okay! Oh I’m so happy , now we just need to find big brother and the rest. Then- wait Dedenne are you ok? You look like you’re in deep thought. Wait , why does my voice sound so high? Angel what is going on-…Angel?” After the reunion with Dedenne which results in Bonnie , cradling him and spinning around. She asks Angel, while slowly realizing that something is off.
Bonnie then turns to look at Luna who looks spooked , until her suspensions turned for concern. When she sees Angel looking horrified and hyperventilating, as the older blonde keeps into her reflection. Showing the image of her light blue eyes being big and wide like a deerling’s, her blonde hair now at medium-length instead of it long and in it’s usual ponytail, not to mention her clothes feel bigger and baggy on the young girl than how a ruffle top and shorts should feel.
“A-Angel…are you ok?” Bonnie asks nervously worried over her friend and other big sister figure. The older blonde just continues to stare at her reflection , her hand shaking as she feels the locks of hair seeing her expression morph from shock into realization. That she is has aged two years back, and the only way Angel knew how to react to was scream.
“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
~~~~A few Minutes Later~~~~
Angel’s POV
“Come on Angel, I think your new hair looks great “ Bonnie tells me as a way to reassure myself. Her assuming that it’s my hair that is upsetting me so much.
‘Oh Bonnie, that’s not the reason I’m freaking out so much. Hopefully she doesn’t have to know about our situation soon.’ I say internally before continuing my train of thought while pacing around with my heart pounding so full of anxiety. ‘If this is how whismurs feel , no wonder they cry so much.’ I say to myself , while I hear Meowth stating the obvious, thankfully quiet enough for not Bonnie to hear.
“Uh…I don’t think it’s the hair that’s freaking her out so much.” With Golbat growling at him, as her way of telling him to be quiet.
I take a couple of deep breaths as I start to center myself , then I try to go think back on if the there were times that I noticed that my aura is on the fritz recently. The weirdest part was it started to become more frequent in doing so , after the invasion on Lumiose caused by Team Flare. Not to mention that my aura is becoming light teal for some reason , instead of it being a normal deep blue. It almost seems something dormant was awakened after that battle from on there was something powerful. Laying dormant within my own aura almost as if there was…magic mixed into it. Though it didn’t sound too far fetched, due to my family’s ancestor Crystal Allrose. Practiced the mystic arts with the help of her Mismagius and Alolan Ninetales, along with the help of a mysterious woman named Cogita who she befriended on her journey. She was seen as an outsider to many people who lived in Hisui, but then a catastrophe hit the region many many years ago. Crystal was one of the few brave people to stop the disaster that would’ve taken many lives of both human and Pokémon a like. Nobody knew which region she came from, but historians speculated that she originated from Galar.
After she defeated the one responsible, she fell in love with a man named Rye a member from the survey corp. A group that helped establish the founding for Jubilife City when it was still a village at the time, later on in documents it was revealed that Rye was related to Sir Aaron one of the original and most well known Aura guardians. Despite what everyone says during our reunions I believe Riley, resembles great-great grandpa Rye a lot.
Though during the telepathic conversation with Lucario, I listen in on Meowth telling Bonnie the obvious on how we got here in the first place. “Ok…ok, we can get through this, we can get through this.” I repeat the words a few times. Like a mantra of sorts, while Bonnie, Meowth and Swoobat look on in worry, while I'm trying to calm myself down.
After 5 more minutes of pacing back and forth, Meowth decides to step in " Alright, alright let's calm down and think clearly for a minute hmmm…..I got it! It seems after the moves hit that fancy crystal we had , it caused some sort of reaction. Where the explosion somehow sent us here… wherever here is." Meowth says , stating the facts on our current situation.
“This is all your fault!” “Denne ne!” Bonnie exclaims at Meowth with Dedenne popping out of Angel’s bag and chiming in. “Hey! How was I supposed to know that crystal would blow up and send us to wherever the heck we are! This wouldn’t have happened if you had just let us capture Pikachu and the ponytail twerpette’s Lucario!” Meowth exclaims holding his ground on the matter , despite team rocket causing the circumstances that we’re in right now.
“Well you could’ve just left us alone for once and we wouldn’t have to be here in the first place!” Bonnie yells as she is about to jump and fight meowth, but Golbat grabs Bonnie by the back of her shirt with her claws, preventing the little girl from doing anything rash.
“Stop it both of you! This will get us no where , if we continue to fight each other like this. What just happened now , we’ll deal with it later. Right now we need to get out of this forest, something doesn’t feels right about it.” I tell the two , what our plan is for now. I scoop Dedenne out my bag and give him back to Bonnie to put the little antenna Pokémon into her own bag, and with Golbat back in her Pokéball (with some reluctance on her part).
All three of us then start to look for a way out of this forest we are in, while walking through the thick foliage. Several minutes in walking when we made it to a river to take a break and let the pokemon roam around before we continue to look for a town or city nearby. I caught a glimpse of two yellow lights floating in the darkness of some bushes across the river we were at , but just as I was about to go over there with Dewott. The two lights are no longer there ‘I wonder…could those lights belong to a pair of Volbeat and Illumise?’ I ask internally wondering if those two floating lights were a pair of Pokémon or maybe they were eyes, which would explain the piercing gaze I felt earlier.
Anyway, we continue our walk throughout the forest with Bonnie skipping ahead without a care in the world and Meowth complaining on how long the dirt road is ‘depending on how big the big the forest is this will be a long long.’ I internally say while the help of Golbat being out to fly ahead to see if there is any danger, with Meowth lying passed out on Skeledirge’s back.
Though I wasn’t aware at the time when we landed here , all three of us didn’t know what to except when we walked out of the forest…and the start of our journeys of becoming heroes.
