Work Text:

He woke up sweating. With memories from his dreams repeating again in his head, this time it was Kom who die and he couldn't do anything about it.

That's not true, remember? You saved him too this time.

But that was just this life in all of the others...

He rolled over carefully trying not to disturb Dys and Sym that were sleeping beside him. He should not worry them with his weakness.

"Sol?" Symbiosis put his hand on Sol's chest.

Sol jumped in surprise. Of course, Gardeners didn't sleep, or at least not like humans did.

"Are you ok? Your heart is beating so fast. That's not a normal heartbeat for a human, right?".

"Is ok Sym  to..."

"Mmmmm? What is all this noise?"

And now he woke up Dys. Sol started tearing up as he suppressed a wave of nausea.

"I'm sorry I-" He felt bile crawling up his throat and ran for the bathroom just in time to spill his guts into the toilet.

"Stars Sol, why didn't you say anything?" Dys hurried to hold his hair.

He waited until the dry heaves were over to answer.

"I just... didn't want to bother you".

"You don't bother us at all love".

Sol pulled his head out of the toilet and noticed Sym was beside him. He started gently rubbing Sol's back.

"The dreams are bothering you again?" Sym asked.

Sol nodded and saw Dys jolt from the corner of his eye.

"Even after all this time? We're at peace with the Gardeners. Everyone is safe Sol you don't need them anymore".

"Is not that easy Dysthymia" Sym picked up Sol from the ground, carrying him bridal style, and placed him on the bed. "The dreams will stay with Sol forever..." At that Sol whimpered "... every new life brings more memories"

Dys expression falls, and he sighed.

"Do you want some water?".

Sol nodded and Dys went to grab some ice-cold water. He came back shortly after and took the back of Sol's head lifting it slightly.

"Easy now," he put the glass on Sol's lips "just a few sips".

He drank eagerly anyway the cold water washed away the bitter taste in his mouth. Dys took away the glass when he was done and out it back in the kitchen.

"Fealing better?" Sym asked while accommodating the pillows of the bed to make Sol more comfortable.

Sol nodded again "I think we should all go to sleep now I stole enough of your sleep already"

They lay down with him in the bed one on each side leaving Sol in the middle. Sym hugged him from behind and Dys caressed his face.

"You know we love you right?" He said.

"Yeah, I know".
