How I Disappear

Summary:

You just wanted to escape from the loneliness, fear, and pain. You just wanted to vanish. Really, you should've known you wouldn't be alone in the forest when you set off to let nature take its course. You never would've thought this was how you would disappear.

Work Text:

It’s going to be okay. Tomorrow is bound to be better. Just tough it out; it’ll all be worth it in the end. How many times have you had to tell yourself this? How many times have you been right?

Stepping out of the station, you’re all alone on a stretch of country road. The nearest town is at least an hour’s walk from here, but that isn’t your destination. Though you can see it in the distance, see the cluster of houses and shops, you turn your back to it and start off in the opposite direction.

Every “tomorrow” is just the same, isn’t it? No matter what you do, no matter how hard you try to change it, every day blends into the next in a gray mass of melancholy. The loneliness eating away at you a little more every day, the stress of your endeavors wearing you down to exhaustion.

Going to college in Tokyo felt like such a big accomplishment at first. Your family was so proud of you! You were going to go to college, get an amazing job, live in Tokyo! So much more than you ever thought you’d get in life and yet…it doesn’t make you feel happy.

The sparkle wore off so quickly once you moved to Tokyo, into the small and cheap apartment. Away from your family and your friends, away from the area you grew up in. You weren’t prepared for what it would be like in such a big city.

It makes you feel small, doesn’t it? Like you’re this tiny, fragile thing in a large, intimidating world. Just another figure in a writhing mass of other figures. Like you could be swallowed up by the crowds and crushed beneath them.

Making friends didn’t come easily to you before, but it feels impossible there. As often as you try to reach out, it just feels like you can never quite connect. Classmates and neighbors alike just seem to brush you off when you try to make conversation and no matter how many times it happens, it still stings.

When your family asks how you’re doing, you always put on an act for them. You’re doing great! You love Tokyo so much! Never letting your mask slip, never letting them know that the soul-crushing loneliness of the city has made you fall asleep crying more than once.

As you walk along the dusty road, you can feel the warm caress of sunlight against your skin. It’s such a beautiful day, but you still have that melancholy gnawing at you from the inside. A tightness in your chest, a stinging at the corners of your eyes as you force a smile and continue. Guilt settles in your gut like a stone because it makes you feel even worse to feel so down on such a nice day.

So what brought you to the countryside today? You’re not going to your hometown to pay your family a visit. This isn’t a school-related trip for research. No…you’ve come here to disappear.

It happens all the time, doesn’t it? How many times have you heard about it on the news, read articles about it online? All over the world, people disappear into thin air multiple times a year. Gone without a trace. That’s why you’ve come here.

Ahead of you is a large expanse of forest and grassy fields. Wilderness to get lost in, to vanish into. Even though you’re admittedly frightened by the thought of what may happen, you can’t imagine staying in Tokyo or giving up and having to face your family. Going to a big city taught you about loneliness and failure. It’s taught you about the coldness and cruelty of humans.

It’s going to be okay. Just tough it out; it’ll all be worth it in the end. There’s a tightness in your throat as you move forward, gripping the strap of your bag and rubbing your thumb over the stitching. You’ve packed a few things, just in case you change your mind and decide to go home. Food, a water bottle, your cellphone, a wallet, a camera, and a book.

It’s okay to change your mind. It’s okay if you decide to go back and keep trying. In fact, you’re sure that’s what your family would want. The problem is that they don’t know what you’ve been through. They don’t know the pain you’ve been internalizing or the things you’ve experienced.

The air feels cooler as you leave the road and move past the tree line, slipping into the forest. A wind blows through the branches, makes the tall grass sway. You can smell something faintly floral in the air and since you don’t have a route planned, you simply decide to follow it.

The grass brushes against your legs through your pants and you’re careful not to step on any twigs or branches. The forest…feels so peaceful. This far from the town, there are no other humans in sight. You’re all alone and rather than feel lonely right now, you just feel calm.

In the city, you could be surrounded by other people and still feel an overwhelming loneliness. That’s why it’s so strange that you don’t feel even a flicker of that same loneliness now. It could be that without other humans, there’s no chance of feeling rejection.

You begin to remember your failed efforts to make friends with classmates. How they would exchange greetings with you, but always brushed off your attempts to establish a real connection. It happened with dating, too; your date might feign interest until you’ve slept together and then they leave you. It’s made you wonder if there’s something wrong with you.

Still following the sweet, floral aroma, you turn slightly. For just an instant, you swear you see something in your peripheral. A turn of your head shows nothing but the continuing expanse of forest. There are birds hopping around in the branches and you try to convince yourself that you just saw a bird, but you can’t shake this feeling that it might be something else.

The scent grows stronger and you find yourself approaching a creek. It’s narrow enough to hop over, but you pause at the edge of the water and lower your gaze to it. So clear and sparkling, catching the sunlight in such a pretty way that you can’t help wanting to get a picture. Though you’re sure it won’t do the real thing justice.

As you’re rummaging in your bag for your camera, you have this tingling feeling on the surface of your skin. The tiny hairs raising as you swear again that you can see something just at the edge of your vision. As before, when you try to look directly at it, it disappears.

Your mind fills with stories of ghosts and monsters as fear begins to sink its claws into your heart. But what if it is a ghost or some creature from folklore? Would it be so horrible? To witness something like that, when you didn’t intend to go home anyway.

Letting your gaze linger in that direction a bit longer, you finally close your fingers around your camera and draw it from your bag. As you turn your head to look at the creek once more, your eyes are met with the sight of something that turns your blood to ice. The camera slips from your fingers, falling to the grass at your feet, as you see a figure in the distance.

It’s tall and pale with dark markings. Standing between two trees and staring off to the side, in the same direction you were just looking. Though you can’t be sure if it’s able to see at all. This figure’s eye sockets are occupied not by a set of eyes, but a set of branches that almost resemble antlers. Its lipless mouth reveals straight, porcelain-white teeth and its left arm is wrapped in a bundle of cloth.

You stand completely still, holding your breath, as you watch this figure from a distance. The body of this stranger is muscular and bipedal, resembling a man, but you know they can’t be human. Your instincts scream at you that this figure is something, or someone, dangerous.

It feels as though you stay like this for several minutes. Taking shallow, quiet breaths and frozen in place. Hoping that whatever they are, they won’t look your way. Your pulse skips when they turn slightly, peering over their shoulder in your direction, but you don’t know if they actually see you.

When they finally turn away and move off to the side, you can see them moving behind the trees until they eventually vanish. Your poor heart is racing as you crouch down to grab your camera. Not taking your eyes off of the spot where they were standing.

Hopping over the creek, you find yourself moving toward that spot and putting the camera away. Despite your fear, you need to see them again. You’re questioning if you even saw them at all because the area where this muscular, bulky figure was standing doesn’t show any signs that someone was there. The grass isn’t pressed down, there are no tracks to indicate anything, or anyone, was there.

Sweat is beginning to bead on the surface of your skin and that sweet, floral scent drifts to you again on a breeze. Right. That’s right. You were following that smell, weren’t you? It’s…such a pretty aroma.

The idea of taking pictures is pushed to the back of your mind. The loneliness, the fear, the pain, and all of those feelings of failure are fading into distant memories as you focus on that scent. You’re not sure what it is about it, but you can’t help wanting to get closer to it. A part of you desperately wants to find the source of that smell.

Trudging further into the forest, it’s getting stronger with every step. You feel a warmth blooming in your chest, spreading across your face. Closer, closer. A tingling begins in your lower abdomen as your eyes fall upon a field of wildflowers, just over the hill you’ve just climbed.

The sight is breathtaking. So many different colors, so many different flowers waving slightly in the breeze. That sweet aroma is nearly overpowering and your pulse begins to race. The warm, tingly feeling grows stronger and you move forward without thinking.

When you reach the edge of the field, you kneel down in the grass and stare out over the sea of flowers in amazement. There’s a fuzziness settling over your thoughts. Dulling any remaining hint of pain, fear, or sadness. You can’t focus when you try to think about Tokyo, about college, and all you can do is admire the flowers as the tingly warmth grows.

There’s a tension in your core that makes you squeeze your thighs together, a faint hint of wetness sticking your panties to your slit. Your hazy thoughts begin to shift to that feeling, to the spark of arousal. Desire without an apparent source, which should confuse you, but you don’t even question it in this state.

Somewhere at the back of your mind, beneath the thick layer of haze, you remember bits of old stories. Folklore creatures luring humans into the forest and taking them away to the spirit world. Would that really be so bad? To be whisked off to another world where you won’t have to suffer the loneliness and fear you’ve lived with for so long?

Sniffing the air, a moan escapes you as you the warm feeling grows. The slick between your legs increases, forming a damp patch in your panties. It’s tempting to slip a hand between your thighs, but you manage to stop yourself. Instead, you lean closer to one flower in particular.

It’s your favorite color and the aroma coming from it makes you feel so blissful. Your fingers reach out to gently caress a petal and it’s then that you see movement at the edge of your vision, to your left. How long has he been there? Wait…was he there when you knelt down?

The figure crouched near you doesn’t look like the one you saw before. No, this one looks much more human. Long grayish-blue hair is settled a little past his shoulders, secured into three sections. A pair of gray and blue eyes meet yours when he turns his head in your direction. The smile that settles on his lips is rather cute and has you blushing even more.

“Do you like these flowers?” he questions, tilting his head just slightly. At this angle, you can now see the stitches that cross his face over his cheekbones and the bridge of his nose as well as down one side.

You nod and lower your eyes a bit, seeing that he’s wearing a black loose sweater that seems to just settle over his shoulders. It has a certain pattern to it that makes you almost think of a spider’s web. For a moment, just a brief moment, you think about a butterfly being caught by a spider, but the thought leaves as quickly as it forms.

“You know, these are special flowers. Don’t they have a nice smell?” He gently plucks one and holds it out to you, still smiling.

A fresh wave of heat rushes through your body as the flower is brought closer to your nose. Another tingle that goes straight to your core and you rub your thighs together. Hazy, lustful thoughts cross your mind as he moves closer to you and when his free hand slips between your legs, it draws a pitiful whimper from your lips.

It’s a struggle to focus on anything other than how his fingertips feel against your inner thigh. “What’s…what’s your name?” You barely manage to get the words out before you have to bite your lip to silence a moan.

“Hm? You want to know my name?” He leans closer, bringing his lips near your ear as his fingertips move closer to the warmth between your thighs. “You really want to know?” It almost sounds like he’s teasing you as he asks this.

There’s a burst of pleasure when you feel him press against your clit and your hips buck into his touch. You barely register that he’s lowering you until you’ve fallen onto your back among the flowers. The overwhelmingly sweet aroma of the blossoms makes you writhe and your back arches, grinding against his hand. Your thoughts so clouded with lust that you don’t even question why you’re doing this with someone you’ve just me.

“Mahito,” he introduces himself, trailing his fingers higher to grip your belt. “What’s your name?” He’s kneeling in the flowers, straddling your left leg. You look so cute with that desperate expression on your face, your eyes shining with tears.

He’s been watching you for a while. Since you first stepped into the forest, you caught Mahito’s attention and he’s been trailing behind you at a distance. Watching the precious, melancholic human trudge deeper into the wilderness. You were so sad, so lonely, but you don’t have to worry about anything now.

You give him your name, your breathing uneven as you feel his fingers working at your belt. Again, your thoughts are so hazy that you can only seem to focus on the building lust. The feeling of your pants and panties sliding down your legs comes as a relief, the forest air cool against your heated flesh.

“Oh? Look how wet you are.” Mahito slips a hand between your thighs and barely touches your plush lower lips, but his fingertips still come away shiny and wet. He brings them to his mouth, dragging his tongue over the wetness, and grins. “Hm? It’s getting on the flowers, too.”

More blood rushes to your face as he moves back a bit and leans down, bringing his face close to your dripping cunt. You can feel the softness of flower petals against your lower lips and even that slight touch is enough to make you desperate for more. Tears roll down your face and you subconsciously spread your thighs wider. “I-I need…”

His fingers spread your lower lips open and he flicks the tip of his tongue against your clit. The moan it draws from you is enough to make him move closer. His lips feel cool against your skin as he latches them around your clit, sucking gently and easily pushing two fingers into your soaked opening. Your fingers sink into his hair and your hips lift off the ground, grinding against his face as you seek release. You get close, so close, when Mahito pulls away with a wet smacking sound.

“I didn’t know that humans could get this wet. Maybe you’re just more sensitive. You’re so wet that I could probably fit all of my fingers in here.” As he’s talking, he pumps two fingers in and out of you at a steady pace as his thumb circles your clit. Not quite touching it, but brushing against it.

“Maybe you’re just hungrier for it,” he teases, his eyes briefly meeting yours before lowering to where he’s pleasuring you. “Some humans get touch-starved and crave being touched. Is that it? Were you lonely?”

“Y-yes!” Your fingers tighten in his hair, still clinging to him as you roll your hips so you’re riding his fingers. The arousal has completely pushed aside any sadness or fear you felt before. All you can think about is how amazing his fingertips feel as they stroke your inner walls, how good it feels when he makes your pussy stretch to fit a third finger.

When you finally get to climax, it’s intense. A gush of arousal around four of Mahito’s fingers, dripping onto the flowers when he draws them out of you. Your opening continues to spasm even after he’s pulled out and you’re panting, your hands falling into the flowers at your sides.

With frustration, you feel the lust quickly building again. Before you can say anything to him, Mahito is slipping down his pants to settle around his thighs. He lifts his shirt to toss it aside and then begins pushing up your shirt, dragging your bra with it. Only when you’re completely bare underneath him does he lean back to fully admire you with that smile from before.

His skin is quite pale, but it’s decorated with lines of stitches. They remind you of surgical stitches, as if he’s been pieced together, but he doesn’t seem bothered by them. Mahito is pretty well built and the stitches seem decorative rather than functional. As eerie as they look, he’s still really attractive.

“You want more, don’t you? I knew it. You’re touch-starved, aren’t you? Don’t worry, Y/N. I’m going to make you feel better.” He lowers himself, slotting his hips between your thighs, and buries his face in the curve of your neck. Mahito can feel your arms wrapping around his neck and his smile grows. “I wonder how much you can take. I read that sometimes when humans get overstimulated, they cry.”

Those words send a chill down your spine and you cling to him tighter, your knees pressing at his hips. He keeps saying “human” as if he isn’t human himself. If he isn’t human, what is he?

The flickers of fear don’t stay with you for long because you soon feel the tip of something thick and stiff pressing at your lower lips. Trailing along your slit, pushing in just enough to tease you and gather slick on the head of his cock. You squirm beneath him, wanting him to stop teasing and ease the lust that’s taken over your mind and body. Feeling him repeat the motion over and over, nudging at your clit to add to the teasing, just makes you more desperate.

Finally, and without warning, Mahito slips it between your lower lips and beings to push inside. Your slick makes it easy for him to slide in down to the base of his member, making you moan and arch your back. The warm and wet grip of your pussy all around his length makes him grin against the side of your neck.

His hips draw back before pushing in again, rubbing at your inner walls. Mahito can feel you moving under him, trying to get more friction to help you climax. He’s more than happy to indulge you, just to see your reaction. Raising a bump above his cock, giving you something to grind your clit against. He’s rewarded by his name leaving your lips in a desperate moan and his pace increases.

The wet smack of skin on skin can probably be heard throughout the forest. The flowers to either side of you caress your bare flesh and you’re still surrounded by that intensely sweet aroma. The gush of your juices leaking around his shaft can be felt with each thrust. His left hand holds your hip and the right slides up your side to your breast. Fingers that feel slightly chilled knead your nipple and it multiplies your pleasure, quickly making you squeeze around him.

The second climax has you falling limp beneath him and you pant, staring up at the clear blue sky. You can feel Mahito’s cool lips against your neck, hear the lewd promises he makes as he pounds himself into you. Your body bounces with each push, your sensitive walls continuously massaging his cock and being spread open wider and he…seems to get thicker.

It’s your imagination, right? His cock can’t really be wider than it was when he pushed into you. Though you’re sure you can feel him filling you up even more. The grip of your walls around his length tightens little by little and soon you can feel another climax building.

“Don’t hold back. I want you to cum at least one more time. You can do that, can’t you? Give me one more and then you can rest for a while,” he promises.

The bump that your clit keeps nudging against begins to vibrate as if he’s purring and that’s all it takes to send you over the edge. Cumming around him again, digging your nails into his upper back. Mahito laughs as he hears the whine at the back of your throat and he quickens the pace, unrelenting in how that bump of flesh vibrates against your clit.

Still sensitive from just climaxing, the overstimulation almost hurts. You delicate bundle of nerves feels like it’s humming from the vibrations and they only seem to get more and more intense. When you release the next time, you’re embarrassed to find a rapid gush of liquid squirting around his shaft and against his lower half.

“This feels so good,” he comments, leaning back to look into your eyes. His pace increases, his cock thrusting into you and nudging against your sensitive walls in a way that no guy ever has before. When his thrusts become a little sloppy, a little erratic, it’s clear that he’s nearing his own release.

“I want to keep doing this over and over until it’s all you can think about. You want that, don’t you, Y/N? Don’t you want to be mine?” Mahito’s hands move down your body and slip beneath your knees to push your legs up, spreading you open and putting your thighs against your chest.

Do you want to be his? You can’t remember how you got here. You can’t remember where you came from. All you can think about right now is the sweet smell of the flowers and how every little brush of their petals against your skin is like a shot of pleasure straight to your core.

You don’t remember the college or your cheap little apartment in Tokyo. Don’t remember the loneliness that drove you here in the hopes of disappearing. Can’t remember the fear of failure or the pain of rejection. So with a smile on your face, you nod and lean up to press your lips against his.

By the time Mahito finally finishes, you’ve climaxed two more times and your body feels weak, shaky. You lie limp in the flowers as spurt after spurt of very thick, sort of cold, cum fills your cunt until it overflows. Consciousness is beginning to slip away from you as exhaustion takes hold.

You’re barely able to keep your eyes open when he pulls out of you and caresses your cheek with chilled fingers. Waking briefly when you’re lifted off the ground and settled over the shoulder of that muscular figure you saw in the forest before. It’s only as they begin to walk off further into the forest with Mahito walking behind them, grinning up at you, that you remember why you came here.

People disappear into the forest all the time. Now, you’re going to be one of them. Vanished without a trace, taken away by whatever these two are and never to be seen by humans again. As scary as that should be…you feel oddly at peace.
