S&D Snapshots

Notes:

I've got a few more snapshots that I may upload later, but I needed to be the first to upload for a personal challenge.

To my bestie, can't wait to read what you write (when you finish it again)

Work Text:

"I don't know why you even wanted to do this" Morgan grumbled, leaning against the cold brick wall.

Alex settled into the bed–if it could even be called a bed. It was more like a metal shelf with a depressing holiday tablecloth.

"Come on, it's fun. It's like a vacation." They retorted.

Morgan shot their companion a look, but Alex had their eyes closed as if they were taking a nap.

"I'd hardly call this a vacation. Now if we were following that series of clues around the world…"

"Not the 66 signals again." Alex groaned. "Are you even a part of that Damount family or whatever they're called?"

"According to the birth records I faked I am."

Morgan began inspecting the walls as if this was some run down escape room and not prison.

Despite the jovial commentary, the duo was currently resting in a small jail cell. In minimum. Not the even Minimum: the prison where they shrink you… just minimum security.

Although it was probably better for Morgan they weren't anywhere tougher. At least here they could find an escape route.

"I can't believe they even let you in here." Morgan mumbled, chipping away at some paint flaking off the wall.

Alex shrugged, keeping their eyes closed. Despite their nonchalance, Morgan knew they were listening to everything in the building.

"Eh, what are they going to do? Say no? I killed that hero, and some rookie cop points a gun at me and tells me to stick my hands up? It's hilarious." They let out a soft chuckle as they reminisced.

"I'm surprised you didn't kill him," Morgan sighed. "Actually, that is really odd, are you okay?"

Alex laughed as Morgan returned to their needless prodding with a roll of their eyes.

"Come on, he was shaking so much it was adorable. Like one of those terrified little Chihuahuas."

The room fell into silence as the two pondered the situation.

"And anyways," Alex said suddenly. "He won't last much longer now."

Morgan whipped their head around, staring at Alex for a second. Their eyes were still closed, but as Morgan looked over they smirked openly.

"I should have known you'd pull something," Morgan mumbled as they turned back to the wall.

They settled back into a comfortable silence.

After a while, just as Morgan was about to finish inspecting the bars for any weak points, Alex stood up suddenly.

"Okay yeah," they said, cracking their knuckles. "I'm done with this."

Morgan narrowed their eyes.

"What do you mean done with this?" They asked.

Alex just smirked, examining their nails.

"With minimum security. It just got soo boring you know," they held up their latest knitting project. "Hey you want to watch a movie while I finish this?"

Morgan blinked in surprise, noticing that the pair had been teleported into Morgan's apartment. They just sighed, rubbing their face with one hand before they spoke.

"Yeah, a movie sounds great." They eventually said. "Pull something up and I'll make popcorn."
