Chapter Text
Wooyoung is a tattoo artist, a professional one (most of the time anyway), but sometimes he just can’t help himself to fresh meat… The fresh meat in this case introduces himself as San, and San has plenty of pretty virgin skin, as far as Wooyoung can tell, that is. Wooyoung’s gonna have to find some other way to see more of it.
He lays San back on the black leather chair and his black latex-gloved hands are warm on San’s waist and his stomach while he works on the placement of the tattoo on San’s skin. To his absolute amusement, San is extremely jumpy, whimpering at every little thing he does, squeezing his eyes shut at every touch. Wooyoung smiles at San, almost leering. He knows he’s going to have fun with this particular appointment.
“First tattoo?” San startles at the sound of Wooyoung’s gentle voice and opens his eyes to look up at him from the chair he’s laid back in. The hand on his waist squeezes gently when he nods and Wooyoung snorts not unkindly with a knowing grin on his face, “I can always tell.”
San looks even more nervous now, but the warmth of Wooyoung’s hands moving around on his waist absentmindedly as he gathers his tools is distracting him well enough to stop the embarrassed tears from flowing out, keeping them welled up in his eyes.
Wooyoung gently rubs his thumb along San’s waist, patting his side gently as he spoke, “Don’t worry. You’re in good hands. Just stay still for me when we get started, alright, sweetheart?”
San nods again, frantic and desperate to get this over with as Wooyoung moves away from him to prepare.
Wooyoung spares him a glance from where he’s working, momentarily turning around with the tattoo gun in his hands. He looks up at San through his lashes with a grin, “You gonna be good for me, San?”
“Yeah! I- I won’t move at all, I promise,” San can hear his own heartbeat thumping in his ears with how nervous he is, cause why did his tattoo artist have to be so hot.
Wooyoung snorts at that and lowers his head, smiling to himself, his bangs covering his eyes from San’s view, “Don’t worry. Even if you do, I can hold you still just fine.”
He turns back around to prepare his tools again, but even with his back to San, San can still see the way his cheeks raise up with his smile, and it makes him bite down on his lip to stop the flurry of butterflies in his stomach from bursting out.
The wide expanse of Wooyoung’s back and shoulders has San eyeing him up and down and swallowing, momentarily forgetting the reason he’d come there. Until, that is, Wooyoung decides it’s time to get started. And of course, as soon as the needle hits his skin, San is a whimpering mess, biting down so hard on his own lip, he breaks skin.
He can feel Wooyoung’s hand, warm and comforting on his waist while the other hand delivers only pain, but he wanted this. Wooyoung stops to give him a minute to catch his breath, noticing how San had turned red in the face.
“You alright?” Wooyoung’s dabbing at the excess ink and blood on San’s skin and squeezing at his side, “Breathe, San. It’s almost over…”
San inhales and exhales a few times and nods, giving Wooyoung the go-ahead to get started again, his entire body shaking under Wooyoung’s hand when he does.
When it’s done, Wooyoung cleans him up with care, covering his tattoo and propping San up on the chair to get him a bottle of water.
“You did good, San. It looks great on you. One of many, I hope,” and every time Wooyoung smiles at him, San’s heart skips a beat and the pain fades for a second.
“Thank you… for everything, I mean. I know I’m not an easy customer… What with the low pain tolerance and everything… Sorry about that,” San’s eyes shift around nervously as he speaks and Wooyoung laughs, gathering San’s aftercare items.
“Not at all! You were one of the more quiet ones I’ve had, believe it or not.”
“Really???” The look of confusion on San’s face makes Wooyoung laugh even harder.
“Definitely! I’ve had a lot of chatty ones, a looot of bossy ones too,” he walks closer to San, speaking in a lower tone, his eyebrows raised, “In fact, I’d love it if you came back.”
If San didn’t know any better, he’d say his hot tattoo artist was flirting with him. He comes right up close to San and hands him his aftercare package, “Maybe next time, you could get a neat little piece right here,” his hands slowly run over the span of San’s sides and his waist, almost circling around him entirely as he moves them to fit over San’s lower back, skin to skin, eyes on his small waist the entire time, “Just a small one on your lower back.”
Wooyoung looks up, right into San’s eyes, gaze dark and intent clear.
“Right here,” he squeezes the flesh gently in his hands, making San jump a little. San felt like his heart was in his throat.
“N-Next time?” San sounds like an idiot even to his own ears, but he was certain hot tattoo guy was flirting this time. Definitely.
Wooyoung’s hands slip away from his skin and San’s never missed someone’s body heat the way he does right now. He almost goes to put Wooyoung’s hands back on him again.
“Come back any time you want, San. Nothin’ bad about having a little eye candy around when I’m working,” Wooyoung sends the most charming smile possible his way, his dimple showing, and San’s knees almost buckle at the sight.
He feels his face redden as he thanks Wooyoung and leaves the shop, not expecting Wooyoung to follow him out. He feels a hand around his arm, tugging him back a little. He turns to see Wooyoung with the gloves off, and fuck, his hands were big, even around San’s bicep. He’d been too nervous to notice before.
“I’m a phone call away if you have any tattoo concerns… or, y’know, if you wanted to ask me out or something,” Wooyoung shrugs and bites his lip, thrusting a little piece of paper with a phone number into San’s hand.
“I’ll text you… if that’s okay?” San looks up from the paper nervously as Wooyoung leans back against the shop door, arms behind his back.
“It’s more than okay,” Wooyoung smiles that disarming smile again and San smiles back shyly, his dimples on display for the first time around Wooyoung.
“Wow, he’s got dimples too,” Wooyoung lets out an airy laugh at the sight of San ducking down to hide his face. “I’ll see you around, pretty boy.”
San watches him go back into the shop, feeling dazed the entire walk home.
(They meet up later on and jump each others bones and THEN start going on dates because Sannie is way too shy to ask Wooyoung out and Wooyoung likes seeing San struggle with these things cause it’s cute but San eventually DOES ask him out and they go on cute cat cafe dates and hold hands all the time. I’m never writing that btw but I just needed everyone to know that this HAPPENS in this AU.)
