Work Text:
Day 1
His parents pick him up, and head to Busan, his plan being to stay with his family to catch up and rest. He runs his hands through his buzzcut, and pulls awkwardly on the sleeves of the soft expensive cashmere sweater he’s wearing. Looking down at the designer pants and shoes, he wonders if he’s switched one uniform out for another.
Day 9
He enjoyed spending time with his family, and catching up with relatives. Enjoying eating many home cooked meals. But soon enough all he mostly does is stay in bed. The nagging concern and pressure starting to build, and the more they try to drag him out the more he wants to bury himself under the blankets. Under the blankets he doesn’t have to put on a smile, talk about what’s next for him, think about the future, make grand plans or little ones. He just wants to stay still.
Day 12
He makes his excuses on why needs to go back to Seoul. He has to get back to his life. There are singing lessons to be had, physical conditioning to be done, meetings to attend, and strategies to review.
It’s not exactly a lie. These are things he could be doing in Seoul. But he hasn’t made the calls to put any of those things in motion.
Day 19
The apartment is sparsely furnished. Just the pieces the interior designer had picked out. It looks, feels, and smells like a showroom. He never spent much time here before. He preferred the dorm, or staying in a hotel room or crashing at a friend's house.
He sometimes chimes in on his group chats. He eats when he’s hungry, which isn’t very often. His hair is greasy. Skin is a mess. It’s not like people don’t reach out. He pulls it together enough to go get a drink with Sungwoon. He does a video chat with Taehyung. Otherwise, he doesn’t leave his apartment, and doesn’t make any plans to. He watches tv, scrolls on his phone, and sleeps, sleeps, sleeps.
Day 41
His phone rings in the distance. He awakes sore and a little dazed. He’s fallen asleep on the couch again; too disoriented to tell if it’s day or night. Pulling his phone out from between two couch cushions, he sees that the caller ID reads “Suga-hyung”. He’s surprised. Yoongi is not the type to call.
“Hi hyung,” he croaks.
“How are you doing, Jimin?”
“I’m fine,” he replies, perplexed by the purpose or reasoning behind the call.
“That’s good…”
“Are you okay, hyung?”
“What? Yeah... It’s just your mom called. She’s worried about you.“
He didn’t realize he’d been worrying his mom. Worrying her to the point where she’d call Yoongi, he feels his eyes start to burn,“I’m fine hyung. She doesn’t need to worry.” His voice cracks.
“Are you at your place? Can I come over? I miss you.”
“Yeah you can. I miss you too hyung,” he adds quietly.
Yoongi shows up at Jimin’s apartment 90 minutes later. Jimin was going to get up and tidy up, but he was tired and had closed his eyes for a quick nap in hopes of finding the energy to be ready for Yoongi’s arrival. Instead he’d fallen into a deep sleep, and wakes up with a start when the doorbell rings. Stumbling to the small screen, he sees that it’s Yoongi on the doorbell camera standing outside. His beanie is pulled over his eyebrows and face mask hanging under his chin. He takes a breath before buzzing Yoongi in.
Yoongi looks the same. Round soft cheeks and tired eyes. His hair is its natural color but growing back from its shorter cut; just now starting to curl over his ears. He’s filled out a little in his limbs and looks slightly stockier than Jimin remembers but not in an unhealthy way. There are a few extra lines around his eyes, making him look tired in a way that shows his age.
Yoongi takes in the entryway and his living room, and Jimin starts to see it from an outsider's point of view. His delivered laundry sits in the hallway, spilling out of the laundry bag as he never put any of it away, just digging through it for various items of clothes. There’s a smattering of cans, bottles and glasses in various degrees of emptiness. Blankets, pillows and random articles of clothing flung all over the floor, even Jimin himself is in disarray.
He hasn’t showered since the day before yesterday (at least he thinks so). And hasn’t shaved in a few more days then that. He’s pretty sure there’s a hot sauce stain on the sweats he’s wearing. Which he has been living and sleeping in for the last 48 or more hours.
“Um.. Sorry… I was gonna shower and clean up before you got here but I fell asleep,” Jimin mutters sheepishly while shoving his hands in his pockets.
“Go take a shower. I’ll fix us something to eat,” Yoongi says as he shrugs off his jacket and hangs it in the hall. Jimin scurries away towards the bathroom before remembering he’ll need clean clothes and returning to grab the laundry bag to put it in his bedroom.
When Jimin completes his shower, even brings himself to apply moisturizer to his face. He slips on some soft pants, a loose shirt and an oversized hoodie that he’s pretty sure once long ago belonged to Yoongi. When he enters the living room he sees high stacks of folded blankets and pillows in the corner. The various drinking vessels have disappeared. Yoongi sits on his couch in front of two bowls of instant ramen that are on the coffee table in front of him, Yoongi is watching a childhood cartoon that Jimin had queued up on the tv earlier. His hyung looks up as he enters the room, a soft smile forming on his lips that lifts his eyes.
“I think I’ve only been here once or twice. Though it looks more like a hotel than somewhere I’d imagine you living.”
“What did you imagine?”
“I dunno,” he shrugs. “Something brighter? Softer? More cute plushies?” he teases.
The ‘something more you’ is left unsaid.
“I made you some lunch.” He doesn’t bother asking Jimin if he’s eaten or is hungry. Picking up his bowl and starts to eat, Jimin takes a seat next to Yoongi on the couch and quietly picks up his own bowl.
“I can’t believe that you’re watching this again….”
“Reminds me of childhood,” Jimin says between slurps of noodles.
Yoongi puts down his bowl gently. They watch a few episodes of the show in a companionable silence. Silences have always been comfortable between the two of them. At first Jimin had a knot in his stomach because he thought Yoongi was going to confront him. Ask him what’s wrong with him. Call him out for being a lazy mess. But Yoongi just squeezes his shoulder occasionally. Makes jokes about how one of the characters reminds him of Jimin.
“Do you feel up to coming to my place for dinner? I’ll cook you something delicious.”
Jimin hesitates.
“Just eating. No talking. I promise. And you can take a nap before we eat.”
“Ok, hyung.”
DAY 42
After dinner the night before, Jimin doesn’t go home. He wakes up in Yoongi’s guest room. It’s late morning but it’s still earlier than he’s woken up in weeks. Jimin peeks out of his room to find that Yoongi’s kitchen and living room are empty. He looks around but it’s quiet and there’s no sign of Yoongi. He guesses that he probably left, and started his day while Jimin was fast asleep. Got bored of waiting for him. He goes back to the bedroom to look for his phone. When he does find it next to the bed on the floor. He sees the messages from Yoongi.
🐱: in my home studio taking a call
🐱: left some breakfast for you on the kitchen counter
🐥: 👍 ty
🐱: B done soon
🐱: Pretty sure some of ur clothes are still here
When Jimin walks into the kitchen he sees a container on the counter with what he presumes is the breakfast Yoongi mentioned. It’s decorated with little cartoon cats. He remembers it as part of a set he got Yoongi as a housewarming present. He got it as a joke but Yoongi would always bring the containers to the dorm with snacks in them or send them home with Jimin with leftovers after he had cooked him dinner.
After eating he heads to Yoongi’s bedroom. Some of his clothes are still in the drawer that was once reserved as “his”. Out of curiosity he peeks into the walk-in closet. Two of his jackets hang there and a silk robe that used to be part of a matching pair he shared with Yoongi. His face heats up as he remembers shamelessly running around in it in this same apartment even though it barely covered the top of his thighs.
Yoongi had a matching robe in a more modest cut that reached down to his ankles. But sometimes he would snatch up the wrong robe off the floor. And Jimin would coo at the show of such dainty legs.
🍉🍕🧀🍰
“I’ve been feeling kind of lonely,” Yoongi says. “Why don’t you stay with me for a few days?”
Jimin starts to protest.
“Hold up. Hear me out. I’ve been slipping into some unhealthy habits lately, and I think having someone around would help.”
“I dunno hyung…”
“Look I understand that you’re working on your own stuff–I just thought….” Yoongi sighs. “No pressure, but there are not exactly very many people I could ask who I would feel comfortable in my home with and who would put up with me.” Yoongi laughs softly.
Jimin looks at Yoongi, really taking him in, Yoongi looks wistful and vulnerable. Jimin recognizes that look on Yoongi, and recalls a similar conversation. Jimin’s heart squeezes with want. He doesn’t recognize it at first. Hasn’t truly wanted anything in so long. In this moment there is nothing he wants more than to stay here with his hyung rather than go back to his own lonely apartment.
“Ok I’ll stay a few days. If you don’t mind?”
“Make a list. Hyung will cook you anything you want while you’re here.” A bright relieved smile blooms on Yoongis’ face. He reaches over and clasps Jimin’s hand, engulfing it with his own larger hand.

Day 46
Jimin has trouble sleeping. Yoongi often finds him in the living room or kitchen at odd hours of the night. Or up too early in the morning. Yoongi doesn’t say anything at first. The both of them pretend the other doesn’t know. Yoongi doesn’t comment on the dark bags under his eyes or the twinges he makes due to the aches and pains of falling asleep awkwardly on the couch.
🍉🍕🧀🍰
Day 49
“I know it sounds crazy but sometimes I miss when it was all 7 of us in one room together.” Jimin shares one evening as they share a meal.
“Really?!?!”
“Ok, not like literally. Like I wouldn’t go back to that. Sometimes, though, it feels too quiet at night.”
🍉🍕🧀🍰
Day 52
One night Yoongi bumps into Jimin in the kitchen while getting a glass of water to take back to his room.
“I'm watching a movie in my room. Wanna join me?” he asks as he peeks over his glass while taking a sip of water. Jimin quietly agrees as he knows he’s not about to go to sleep any time soon. Jimin follows Yoongi into his bedroom watching as Yoongi gets underneath the covers. He looks expectantly over at Jimin as he stands still in the doorway. Yoongi pulls up the blankets on the empty side of the bed, silently encouraging the younger to join him. Jimin swiftly and a bit ungainly crawls onto the bed and into the empty space under the blankets.
Yoongi is only half paying attention to the movie on the TV. The other half of his attention is on his phone. The movie plays just loudly enough for them to be able to follow the dialogue, but low enough they have to concentrate to truly hear. Jimin has his cheek pressed deep into a pillow.
Neither speaks as they settle into a comfortable silence. The bed and blankets hug Jimin just right, and his thigh presses reassuringly against Yoongi’s. Jimin can feel the body heat radiate off his bed companion. It feels nice. It feels soft. It feels warm. It feels safe. His mind goes quiet and he’s soon pulled to sleep.

Day ????
Jimin counts the days until he loses track.
🍉🍕🧀🍰
They shared a bed for weeks before they were intimate. Jimin starts to wonder if Yoongi is no longer interested in him that way. After the limbo Jimin has kept them in all these years, did it finally become too much? Has Yoongi outgrown them? Is he over him?
But Yoongi is still loud with his affection. Constantly hugs and touches him. Never leaving the house without squeezing his shoulder or wrapping him in a hug. Cuddles him on the couch when they watch TV. Tangling their legs together under the sheets when they go to bed at night. Jimin loves it all, but he misses the other intimacies they used to share.
It makes him feel greedy for wanting more.
Yoongi loves it all and feels greedy for wanting more.
Jimin is brave. “I need to tell you something but it’s embarrassing. So please don’t laugh.” He knows Yoongi wouldn’t laugh at him. Yoongi doesn’t laugh when Jimin is being serious.
“I just wanted you to know that I’m still into doing the things we used to do together.” He flushes red.“I’m happy how things are but wanted you to know that more would be okay. If that’s what you wanted, too. You can kiss me if you still want,” he rushes it all out in one breath.
There’s an awkward silence. Yoongi just blinks at him. “Thanks for letting me know,” he eventually responds.
“Cool. I’m gonna go take a shower,” says Jimin quickly and scurries out of the room. Embarrassment flooding through him.
That night in bed Yoongi rests his forehead against Jimin’s before pressing their lips together gently in a kiss. “I’ve missed this too Jimin-ah”
🍉🍕🧀🍰
Yoongi works every day in his home studio or at the company building; taking meetings, seeing friends and family. But he comes home every night. Makes Jimin breakfast every morning. Leaves leftovers on the counter. Ensures his fridge and kitchen are stocked with things he likes to eat. Collects clothes and toiletries from Jimin’s apartment for him.
One day when Jimin complains about the afternoon light that creates a glare on the tv. Yoongi pulls up a website that sells curtains on his phone. Asks Jimin which ones he thinks would look best.
Yoongi tries to get him out of the house. They go to a dog cafe and talk about adoption. Yoongi mentions his hyung could watch over it when they’re away. He’s in Seoul now. He’s repeatedly offered. Instead they decide to get a cat and name her Sugarmochi.
Soon Jimin starts accompanying Yoongi to his residential gym daily. Jimin starts going for runs again. Makes friends with a neighbor’s dog, whom he eventually takes out on his runs with him.
Yoongi brings books home for Jimin from the Hybe library. Sometimes they go to the bookstore, or the grocery store together.
They talk about working on music. Just the two of them. But they stick to their agreement that they don’t want to mix work any further into their personal relationship.
“I thought we agreed,” Yoongi says.
“I know, I just want to help. You do so much for me.”
“This helps,” Yoongi says as he wraps his arms around Jimin’s waist and pulls him closer, resting his chin on the other man’s shoulder.
Jimin goes grocery shopping for the apartment on his own. Buys cat food, dish soap, rice, and eggs. Yoongi’s favorite frozen dumplings are added to the basket. Jimin finds himself smiling in the toilet paper aisle. This feels good. Right.
Jimin contacts his manager to set up appointments to see his vocal coach and personal trainer.
🍉🍕🧀🍰
He realizes he’s no longer afraid. Every time he imagines the disappointed look on his parent’s faces. Disapproving glares from staff members. The public commentary and reproach. All the “what if’s”. The real things that could possibly happen. All the terrifyingly real possibilities. But they’re no longer more frightening than letting go of this life he’s building with Yoongi.
“I’m not afraid anymore. I mean I am . But not like I was before. I want to make this my home with you. I want to sell my apartment and move all my stuff into your closet. I want us to go on trips together. Just the two of us. I want us to buy a giant bed that’s ours. I don’t want to park in the guest spot anymore. I want an official parking spot. And matching bathrobes. I want to have dinner parties where you cook and I’ll bartend. I want us to get a brother or sister for Sugarmochi. I want to argue about who’s turn it is to empty the dishwasher and go shopping for sheets and towels. Pick up shampoo for you when you run out. Be your nurse when you’re sick. Share a bed with you. I want you be my home. And I want to be yours. “
There’s silence. “I hope you want that, too,” he adds nervously.
“You want to be my roommate?” Yoongi teases. Jimin shuts him up with a kiss.
🍉🍕🧀🍰
Jimin is on a video call with Taehyung as he cleans up the kitchen after dinner.
“Come on, Chim! You can’t stay single FOREVER!”
“Tae.. I told you I'm not interested. I know you’re just trying to help, but stop.”
“You don’t have to even go out with one of them. It’s a group blind date, and they’re all vetted by ME!”
Jimin bites his tongue as he loads the last dishes from the sink into the dishwasher. It’s his turn to clean up the kitchen since Yoongi cooked them dinner. He scans the living room for any stray dishes.
“Nope. Sorry. Still, no thank you.” Jimin says to the video image of Taehyung as he picks up his phone from the kitchen counter. He carries the phone with him as he heads towards Yoongi’s home office. He gently knocks on the door before entering. He finds Yoongi curled up on the couch with a book. The other had retreated there after dinner for some quiet time.
“Say ‘hi’ to Tae,” Jimin says as he vaguely points the phone camera in his hyung’s direction.
“I’m about to run the dishwasher. Any stray glasses in here?” Jimin asks as he glances over the office workstation.
“Hyung, please tell Jimin to go on the blind date I set up for him.”
“Yah!” Jimim interjects.” How come you’re so worried about my love life, but not Yoongi-hyung’s?”
Taehyung scoffs. “Why would I be worried about Min ‘marry me’ Suga’s love life? He doesn’t need my help like you do.”
Jimin glances at Yoongi who only gives him a very toothy grimace. “Night Tae” Jimin says signaling that the video call is over for the night.
“Night Chim. We can continue this discussion another time.” Jimin ends the call without further notice. Jimin takes a deep sigh, “I think I’m gonna go for a run.”
“‘K, I’ll be waiting for you.”
When he returns he takes a shower before joining Yoongi in bed. “Baby,” Jimin says as he curls next to the other man and lays his head on his chest. He rests his hand over Yoongi's heart. “I wanna tell Tae about us.”
Yoongi puts down his phone and turns his head to look at him. His face turns thoughtful as he formulates a response. “I don’t think it would be fair to just tell Tae. How do you feel about telling the guys? I trust them to protect our privacy,” Yoongi adds before pressing a kiss to the crown of Jimin’s head.
“Okay.” Jimin releases with a big sigh of resolution.
“I’m pretty sure I can get them all over here next week for dinner.”
“I might tell Tae before then.”
“That’s okay, but we can talk to the rest of them together.”
The next week, the seven of them gather at Yoongi and Jimin’s apartment. It’s dubbed a housewarming party for Jimin officially moving in. Jimin and Yoongi stand in their living room hand in hand across from five of the most important people in their lives.
“We wanted to share with you that we’re together. We want to keep this very private. So we’re not sharing this with anyone outside of this room.”
There are loud exchanges of “congrats bro!” and hugs before it is all broken up by the loud pop of a champagne bottle. And Taehyung subsequently spraying champagne all over their couch and the surrounding floor.
🍉🍕🧀🍰
Jin, Namjoon, and Hoseok lean against the breakfast counter drinking and chatting. Yoongi corners Jimin in the kitchen while the others mill around. “How are you feeling?” Yoongi asks, reaching up to cup Jimin’s face and run his thumb along the apple of his cheek.
“Okay.” Jimin’s eyelids flutter close as he leans into Yoongi’s hand.
“Is that a good ‘okay’ or a bad ‘okay’?”
“It’s a ‘this is a lot but I’m good’ okay.” He smiles as he reaches up to touch the hands cupping his cheek. Yoongi leans in and presses a lingering kiss to Jimin’s lips. It's a comforting kiss and it helps him find some composure in the middle of the chaos the other members have brought to his home with their mere existence. He hopes it grounds and comforts Jimin too.
A squeal cuts through the room.
“What the fuck?!” Echoes through the apartment. Jimin and Yoongi jump apart, startled by the disruption.
It soon becomes apparent that the ruckus is coming from Hoseok. Who is pointing at Yoongi and Jimin with a slack jaw. He raises a hand in the direction of the couple while Namjoon and Jin continue to look at him startled and confused.
“What the fuck was that? Hyung just kissed Jimin. On the lips! With his mouth!”
Ice spreads down Yoongi’s spine. He barely registers Taehyung and Jungkook entering the kitchen to investigate the commotion. There’s a sudden surge of ringing in his ears. Time seems to slow down and speed up at the same time. Rage, hurt, and indignation bubble up his chest.
“If you have a problem, you can get the fuck out of our house.” Yoongi’s voice threatens to crack but doesn’t break.
“Hyung!” Namjoon, shocked at the harsh tone, calmly interjects, putting his body between the two. None of them have ever heard Yoongi take such a threatening tone with anyone.
“What? I–” Hoseok stutters, stunned and flustered by Yoongi’s response. As Namjoon appears to be about to intercede and smooth things out, Yoongi doubles down.
“No, Joon, this is important! This is our home,” Yoongi’s voice cracks at that, “Outside things might be different, but here…. This is our safe zone. So if you have a problem with me and Jimin you’re not welcome here.”
His face feels hot, his throat tight, his eyes sting and his fingers ache at how tightly his fists are clenched. He barely registers that one of his fists is cradled in Jimin’s hands.
“Yoongi-hyung, I didn’t know. I didn’t realize– I didn’t realize what you two meant earlier.” Hoseok is floundering, horrified, embarrassed, apologetic.
“Jimin. Yoongi-hyung. Hoba didn’t mean anything. He was just surprised.” Namjoon tries to broker a peace.
“I’ve always known,” Jin interjects to break the tension.
“I only knew because I kept trying to set Jimin up,” Taehyung cheerfully adds.
“Did you all know?” The youngest interjects. And he’s got this look on his face that they all know. “Was I the only one who didn’t know?” he asks quietly before tears start to gather in his eyes.
“Oh for fucks sakes!” Yoongi exclaims feeling a buzzing start to build in his chest and head. “I need a moment,” he gasps at Jimin. Jimin gives his fist a squeeze and soon Yoongi is out of the kitchen and in their bedroom closing the door behind him.
🍉🍕🧀🍰
He sits on the bed with his head between his knees trying to combat the light-headed feeling he has. His palms are sweaty and his heart is racing, he feels like he just ran a marathon. He focuses on his breathing to calm himself down. He knows he is reacting this way because he was waiting for something to go wrong. He’s eventually able to find his way back to himself.
A few minutes later Jin knocks on the door.
“Yoongi-yah. I’m coming in. Jimin sent me.”
Jin gives Yoongi an appraising look. Obviously looking for signs that Yoongi is alright. He seems satisfied by what he sees. He pats Yoongi on the back before taking a seat next to him on the bed.
“So you let Jimin seduce you huh? I warned you about making direct eye contact. Or was it his shoulders that did you in?”
“Ugh, hyung stop.” Yoongi buries his face in his hands. “I can just hear my mom ‘yah! Yoongi, why do you always have to take the most difficult path possible?’”
“Did you really always know?” Yoongi asks out of curiosity.
“ I dunno,” Jin shrugs, “Maybe? It just doesn’t feel like a huge surprise. Like it just seems right. If that makes sense?”
“Actually strangely It does” Yoongi says wistfully.
“Fuck! Hobah!” He groans as he throws himself backwards on the bed and contemplates his earlier outburst.
“Yoongichi, I support you. Protect what you and Jimin have built here. I am proud of you for safeguarding Jimin so fiercely, but I don’t think Hoseok meant any disrespect. I’ll go full hyung on him myself if that’s the case.”
“Please give Hobi a chance to make this right. He knows he fucked up. Plus you’ve already scared the shit out of him.”
“Fuck! I know,” Yoongi groans. “Hobi didn’t deserve that.”
🍉🍕🧀🍰
There’s a soft rap on the bedroom door before it opens and Jimin slips inside quietly. Closing the door behind him. He walks over to where Yoongi sits on the bed. He runs his hand through Yoongi’s hair and down his shoulders before tangling their fingers together.
“Sorry for abandoning you to deal with everything,” Yoongi mutters.
“We're actually having a good time out there. Just wanted to make sure you’re okay.”
“I’m okay,” he reassures.
“You’re sure?” Jimin says as he runs his fingers through Yoongi’s hair again.
“Yeah.” Yoongi nods.
“Good cuz Hobi-hyung is waiting outside.” Jimin sends a glance towards Jin who gets up to let Hoseok in. He enters while Jimin and Jin leave.
“Bro…”
“I’m sorry,” they both rush out at the same time.
“It’s just I’ve been so braced for tonight or something to go to shit. I was just waiting for shit to hit the fan. And it was stressing me out cause it’s not group business but it is at the same time. Like my love life should be my own personal shit. My choice but of course it’s not really. I want your guys blessings as my friends, as the most important people in my life but also I don’t wanna care. But I do! Am I looking for your approval as my friends or as my group members? Cause one should give it to me because they care about me but the other probably shouldn’t cause it’s fucking risky as shit. But I don’t care. I keep thinking I should care at least a little but I really just don’t care because I want this. I want to be in love and I want a partner and more than anything I want it to be Jimin. And it’s so fucking selfish and unfair to you guys. And though I know I’ve made the right choice, it doesn't mean it’s the right choice for the group and I couldn’t disagree with you all if that was how you feel.”
“Yoongi. Would you have asked any of us to give up something they wanted so badly for the good of the group?”
Yoongi takes a deep breath. “Probably not,” he says with little conviction.
“You wouldn’t. I know you wouldn’t. Our big dreams shouldn’t stop us from having little ones too. You and Jimin are setting an example. Reminding us to have a good life. That BTS isn’t our whole life just part of our lives. And in the end you’re the only one that can live it. Besides we’d have a team of unhappy, unfulfilled people. And we don’t want to resent each other. That festers.”
“When did you get so wise, Hobah?”
“I can’t take credit for the advice. It was Joon who said that to me when I was thinking of becoming serious with that fashion designer I was seeing.”
The evening goes on. Jin, Namjoon, and Hoseok excuse themselves over the next few hours to head home. Soon it’s just Jimin, Yoongi, Jungkook, and Taehyung left. Piled on the floor and couch. Tae’s phone is connected to the bluetooth speakers as he plays his latest playlist of new and old favorites. The hour is late and they’ve all drank enough that it’s questionable that any of their legs would keep them upright. But they all feel happy and nostalgic. Fond memories of similar nights in younger days.
Yoongi’s bladder can no longer be ignored. He carefully pushes himself up from the couch. Taking extra care to appear steady and composed so as to avoid any teasing comments from the younger men.
As Yoongi pulls down his zipper to take a piss. He ponders that he might be slightly inebriated as it takes him more effort then typical to get his zipper open. As he makes it down the hall back towards the living room he hears Jimin’s pealing laughter. Jimin sits on the couch with his head thrown back as his full body convulses with laughter. Taehyung sits on the floor, clearly the source of Jimin’s amusement. He sits at Jungkook’s feet who is sitting on a chair sideways with his long legs awkwardly hanging over the arm of the chair. Yoongi is overcome with a sudden rush of love and affection towards Jimin. As he looks at the man he loves, he’s overwhelmed by the love he feels. It rises up in him and it feels like it will start to topple out of the top of his head. His knees wobble as he takes a deep breath through his nose. His face feels flush. He suddenly can feel all the things he drank that night in his knees and in the hot flush in his neck. He’s overcome with the need to be close to his love. On unsteady legs he makes his way over to the couch and squeezes himself in between Jimin and the arm of the couch even though there is more than enough empty space for him to sit elsewhere. He doesn’t quite fit and mostly ends up in Jimin’s lap.
“Hyung?” Jimin asks him with curious eyes. Perplexed by his lover's choice of seats.
Yoongi buries his face in Jimin’s neck and wraps his arms around his shoulders.
“Tired baby?” Jimin murmurs while resting a hand on Yoongi’s back.
“Ha! Always knew Yoongi-hyung was a cuddler. I wanna join! Are we cuddling?” Taehyung exclaims loudly. Jimin shoots his friend a warning look.
“I think I'm drunk,” Yoongi murmurs from his spot in Jimin’s neck.
“Why don’t you go to bed?”
“Mmkay. Good idea.” But he doesn’t move and doesn’t seem like he will be moving any time soon.
“I promise, I’ll join you soon.”
Yoongi grunts in approval. “I want to make you come twice tonight,'' he slurs quietly into Jimin's ear.
“Yoongi!” Jimin admonishes with a scandalized look on his face as his eyes slide over to Taehyung and Jungkook.
“What’d he say?” asks Jungkook, as his wide eyes flit between Yoongi and Jimin in gleeful curiosity.
“That he’s going to sleep,” Jimin snaps as Taehyung laughs. Jimin pulls Yoongi up and off the couch and towards their bedroom.
“You coming back, Chim or should we see ourselves out?” Taehyung heckles as Jimin wordlessly flips him off and continues to shuffle Yoongi out of the room.
“Yoongi-hyung might not like that!” Taehyung hollers at Jimin’s retreating back.
