Welcome to the Merlin choose your own adventure story! The story is complete and you can play through it entirely. There are 8 different endings you can possibly end up!
The link will take you to a Google Drive file, from where you can download the story. It will probably look very weird (a lot of code), but don't worry, just press 'download' and then open the file. It comes as a PDF, and is about 850 kB. You can play on both PC and mobile, but I recommend playing on PC.
Any further information is inside the story itself! Have fun, and if you can, come back to leave a comment :D

The start...
“Do you know what it is?”
Gwen’s soft whisper breaks Merlin’s concentration from where he is watching Arthur. The King is lying on his bed, appearing to be asleep. But he has been asleep for the entire day and hasn’t moved so much as a finger. If that wasn’t enough reason for concern, the aura of dark magic streaming off Arthur certainly is. Something is very wrong.
He hasn’t moved at all, but he has been getting worse. Where he looked fine at first, Arthur’s skin is now pale, almost as if he is getting sick. His breathing has gotten more troubled, and there is a thin layer of sweat covering his body. Merlin is pretty sure it has something to do with the amulet Arthur had received from an unknown source yesterday, the present having appeared in his room. He had Merlin check it, but not before the idiot already touched it. At the time, Merlin hadn’t been able to sense anything, and he hoped Arthur’s short touch didn’t matter. Now, he is not so sure anymore.
After Gwen’s concerned message that Arthur wouldn’t wake this morning, Merlin tried his usual spells to heal him or see what was wrong. But with no results, he had taken to the library that now holds an entire section on magic, and searched for anything related to Arthur’s condition.
He spent hours searching everything they have on magic, and came to the conclusion that Arthur must have been possessed by…something. He just needs to figure out what it is, and according to his books, there should be signs near Arthur.
So now, with the sun just setting outside, he and Gwen are in Arthur’s chambers, which is mostly lit by the dozen candles Merlin has set up around the room. He likes having the tiny sources of life around him, they always help guide his magic.
Merlin sighs, taking a step back from the bed. “I have an idea,” he says, frowning as he looks down on his unconscious friend. “But I just want to check a few things.”
