Robyn Goodfellowe was having trouble getting to sleep, in all honesty she should be having an easy time drifting to unconsciousness, she was in a soft bed it was a cool summer night and she was holding the sleeping body of Mebh (her girlfriend/datemate) close to her, there was just one thing keeping her awake.
“Are you asleep yet?”
There it was, the orange wolf that was the girl she loved most in the world, however that being said they could be damn annoying sometimes.
Robyn was at least 12 percent annoyed, which was reasonable considering that was the twelfth time she asked in that hour
“No Mebh, i haven't fallen asleep yet”.
Robyn hoped that was the end of it, it wasn't.
“How about now?”
It took around 20 seconds for her to ask that
“Mebh i swear if you ask that one more time-”
“Okay i get it, i'll stop”
Robyn took their word and focused on getting to sleep.
Until around 5 minutes later
“How bout now?” Robyn was now 63 percent annoyed at this point, and kinda wondering why Mebh was so insistent on her state of consciousness, she got out of bed and picked Mebh’s wolf body up before getting back into bed still holding her beloved,
“Please shut up” Robyn requested this in the softest voice they could muster.
“...Ok” they seemed to be content and Robyn could finally get to sleep.
Rest came to Robyn easily at that point, she felt the now familiar sensation of magic and flew out of her body and turned into her wolf form.
After getting her bearings they looked to Mebh expecting the orange wolf to have already jumped off of the bed to ask her if she wanted to do some activity , only to see her datemate gently thrashing around in her human body's grip.
“...hey, can I get a little help here?”
Mebh was being held tightly by Robyn's human body and couldn't get out.
They sighed “Sure thing” Robyn, since falling asleep she was only around 5 percent annoyed.
First they tried to simply nudge her arms off of Mebh, however that failed, then they tried to move the arms with their mouth, however their sleeping body just refused to let go.
Eventually they decided to just bite the bullet and wake up.
After waking up she let go of Mebh’s wolf body and went back to hugging her human body Robyn was 34 percent annoyed at the fact that she had to wake up around 2 minutes after finally getting to sleep.
“Are you asleep yet? Mebh asked around 7 minutes after Robyn tried to go back to sleep.
Robyn instantly became 85 percent annoyed, she shot out of bed and went out of the den leaving a confused Mebh behind, she went towards a nearby lake and grabbed a fish out of the water with her bare hands.
She went back into the den and threw the fish in Mebh’s general direction, she intended to simply throw the fish in front of Mebh to buy their silence via food, however the large amount of mild annoyance in their heart caused them to overshoot and hit Mebh with the fish, this didn't really do anything other than paralyze Mebh with a disproportionate look of horror on her face.
With Mebh silenced, Robyn went back into bed, rebegan hugging Mebh’s body, and went back to sleep.
After becoming a wolf Robyn went to Mebh (who was still paralyzed by the fish hitting her), with a nagging interest in Mebh’s intentions.
“So Mebh, is there anything you want to do Considering you were so intent on me getting to sleep?”
Mebh remained still, silently staring into nothing, only moving when Robyn gave them a smooch.
“Huh? Oh! You fell asleep”
“Yeah, so you were very antsy about me getting to sleep, was there anything you wanted to do?”
Mebh perked up almost instantly
“Oh yeah, do you want to cuddle?”
Robyn inhaled deeply
“So you spent several hours asking me if i was asleep, keeping me awake, to ask me if i wanted to do something i could have easily done while awake, and in fact did do while trying to get to sleep?” Robyn spoke in an exaggerated tone.
“Yeah”
Robyn inhaled, then sighed.
“Yes i would love to cuddle.”
