Chapter Text
Ethan was exhausted already. All he wanted was to get Rose back, and his trek has led him to the rundown church, but he didn’t know how he was going to go on. His heat was due soon, and normally he’d be curled up in a homemade nest, resting until Mia could assist him… Mia… he couldn’t believe she was gone… With his uninjured hand, he checked his bottle of suppressants. There were only three little red pills left in the bottle, and he felt his heart drop. There would be no way for him to think and function properly if he went into heat while hunting for Rose in this godforsaken village… Was his infant daughter even still alive? Shaking his head to rid himself of the dark thoughts, Ethan turned to grab the door handle.
"Well, well... Didn't think anyone was left! You must be… pretty tough, huh?" a boisterous voice spoke from behind him, causing the father to flinch and spin towards the noise.
The owner of the voice was nothing short of gorgeous. Salt and pepper hair framed a rugged face while rounded black sunglasses partially hid breathtaking silver eyes that sparkled as he smiled. The young father took a deep breath and tried to calm himself, but he’d never felt like this before. Was this man an alpha? Ethan needed to get away. This was the worst possible scenario for the omega to fall into.
"Who the fuck are you?" Ethan snapped as a wave of warmth flooded over him, causing him to stumble.
"Oh, you're not local! Even better… are alright there?" the older man asked, his bravado suddenly dropping to a genuine concern.
“I… I’m fine… don’t-don’t come near m-me,” Ethan stammered, stumbling back and bumping into one of the barrels of supplies behind him.
“Listen… you don’t belong here… are… are you sick?” the other man asked, taking a calculated step forward.
It was only then that Ethan noticed that the metal debris on the floor was floating around the man. He gave the older man a glare and tried to back up again, but only succeeded in stumbling back and falling into a broken barrel.
“Fuck! P-please! Please just-just don’t touch me! I-I can’t! I can’t do this! I need to find Rose!” Ethan cried out fruitlessly slapping the gloved hands away.
“Rose? The baby Miranda stole?” the other man asked.
“Yes! I… I guess so! My daughter’s name is Rosemary Winters!” Ethan gasped.
“Mother Miranda has some fucked up plans for little Rosie… but I know where she is,” the older man explained, offering a gloved hand to the young father. “I’ll take you to her.”
“Wh-why?” Ethan found himself asking before accepting the gesture.
“I… I don’t know, honestly,” the other man admitted. “I… I just want to help you, I guess.”
“M-my name is Ethan… Ethan Winters,” the younger man said as he reached for the gloved hand.
“Karl… Karl Heisenberg…” the other responded, suddenly lost in the addictive, electric pull that the father’s touch had on him.
…
Castle Dimitrescu was as lovely as it was frightening. Ethan felt like he’d fallen asleep and woke up in a classic Dracula film. He wasn’t scared… no, for some reason Karl made him feel safe. The alpha was radiating comforting vibes, but the omega didn’t have time to ask him about it before the Lady of the castle arrived to greet the two men. She must have been close to ten feet tall, and she looked like a flawless porcelain statue. She was almost as beautiful as Karl… but Ethan couldn’t take his eyes away from the metalmancer.
“Lord Heisenberg… to what do I owe the… pleasure of your company?” she asked, looking down on them with a slight sneer on her beautiful face.
“Ah, Lady Dimitrescu… always an honor to see you… but I do have a good reason to intrude on your… humble abode. You see, when Mother Miranda told us she ‘found the baby in a car accident with both parents dead,’ she was lying,” Karl explained, motioning to Ethan with the gloved hand that wasn’t currently holding a smoking cigar. “Her father is standing right here!”
“Why… why would Mother Miranda lie about that? What- what really happened?” the Lady asked, turning her now-worried attention to the younger man.
“My… my wife was working with a rebel scientific group… vile bastards that wanted our baby to experiment on her… she was hiding it all from me…” Ethan explained angrily. “Our friend- no… no… someone we thought was our friend… he found out about it… about Mia’s horrible side work… and he fucking killed her… he shot her… so many times… then… then he stole Rose, and… and knocked me out… we… I woke up after the van crashed…”
“I’m so sorry to hear that,” Lady Dimitrescu replied with a sad grimace marring her perfect features. “Mother Miranda told us a… complete lie, it seems.”
“We need to give Rose to her father, Alcina. I know Miranda entrusted her to you, but… the baby needs her omega,” Karl said softly.
“Sh-she stole a baby from her omega?!” Lady Dimitrescu gasped, immediately standing back up to her full height before letting out an earthshaking scream that echoed through the halls of the castle. “Cassandra! Bring me the baby!”
Moments later, a swarm of flies flew into the room. They materialized into a beautiful brunette woman dressed in a flowing black gown right before Ethan’s. In her arms was none other than Rosemary. She was sound asleep and looked like she didn’t have a care in the world. Ethan rushed to his daughter, thanking the two women repeatedly as he took her into his arms. As he was cooing and gushing over his little princess, two more swarms of flies arrived in the room. They turned into a beautiful blonde and a charming red head, both wearing black gowns similar to the blonde that had brought him Rose.
“Mr. Winters, these are my daughters. This is Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. They adored watching your little Rose… they do so love to entertain foreigners,” Lady Dimitrescu announced, motioning to each of her daughters in turn with a proud smile on her face.
“I’m… it’s a pleasure to meet you all. Thank you for protecting my little Rosemary,” Ethan replied, his eyes glimmering with omega pride as he looked down at the infant in his arms.
“Speaking of protecting… we need to keep little Rosie away from Miranda,” Karl explained. “I can bring them back to the factory, but she’s going to notice the missing kid eventually…”
“We could say I ate her!” Daniella offered cheerfully, causing the young father to let out a small growl. “O-or not… I wouldn’t, not really!!”
“No, no… she knows you wouldn’t do that… what if we say Ethan here broke in and stole her back?” Karl suggested. “We say he broke in, snuck around, and re-kidnapped little Rosie.”
“That might work… we’ll have to get Donna and Sal in on all of this…” Lady Dimitrescu replied with a nod. “You take the Winters home with you, and I’ll give them a call.”
With that, Karl, Ethan, and Rose set off towards the Heisenberg Factory.
