Work Text:

There were many instances in which Katherine found herself confused about the choices her doppelgänger Elena made. Then again, the girl grew up, and still lived, with the kind of privilege people would kill for. Katherine certainly would. Elena seemingly always got what she wanted just by asking for it.

Maybe Katherine would understand Elena better if she didn't have to work hard for every fleeting luxury she had ever owned. But if understanding Elena meant choosing to get tangled up with the Salvatores, even if she only liked one of them, over her, then she'd rather never understand Elena.

Getting into the Bennett house was easier than expected. Or maybe it was only that easy due to her knowledge and bond with the coven. Every coven did have preferences when it came to the selection of their spells and the kind of magic they were ready to dip their fingers in. Their own little magical fingerprints that one could decipher as long as one knew what to look for.

Katherine's fingerprints had been burnt off before she had the chance to learn what they looked like. A fact that her doppelgänger wasn't even aware she lost yet. Poor thing.

While the fingerprints of the protective magic over the house were purely Bennett magic, the lone Bennett witch's fingerprints were nowhere near that clean. They were twisted. Spoke of darkness and death. Soaked in blood and fire. They were beautiful.

Katherine wanted to feel it. Wanted to feel it ripping through her, tearing at her. She wanted to taste it on her tongue. Wanted to feel it brush against her as the little witch fell apart beneath her touch. Wanted to hear it echo all the way to hell as she made Bonnie scream her name.

Oh, how she wanted.

She didn't know how long she stood over Bonnie's bed, just watching her sleep. The sweet little thing was oblivious to her presence. Something she both loved and hated. Part of her wished that Bonnie's eyes would snap open, their fiery gaze burning her alive, as they always did.

The other part knew that she wouldn't be able to do anything at all if Bonnie was awake. She wouldn't be able to stay like this, and she certainly wouldn't be able to get even closer.

And that-

While she might not get everything she wanted, she won't leave with nothing.

Katherine silently slipped out of her ankle boots. Put on gloves that were spelled to shield her aura, a way to keep Bonnie from noticing her. She pulled down the blanket, and climbed onto the bed. Straddled Bonnie's sleeping form. Her right hand cupped Bonnie's face. Her thumb brushed over a plush bottom lip.

She wanted to kiss it, to nibble on it with a sharp fang. She wanted to leave them kiss swollen, to lick up droplets of blood. To swallow any moan that left them.

She leaned in dangerously close, her hair a curtain around them, and pretended.

Gloved hands slipped underneath a soft shirt, pushed it up far enough to free a gorgeous pair of breasts. Her fingers followed their gentle curves. She cupped them gently. Just memorized how they felt. She wouldn't mind dying as long as these breasts were pressed up against her.

Katherine blew cool air over one of Bonnie's nipples. Watched almost in awe as it hardened. Bonnie was rather sensitive, then. A grin stretched her lips. Her index finger brushed over it, the seam of the glove got caught on it.

She could get lost just doing this.

But she wasn't yet.

A stutter in Bonnie's heartbeat was the only warning that she was about to wake up. It was enough of a warning, though. She was Katherine Pierce. If there was one thing she was good at, it was running without leaving a trace of her presence.

Indeed, Bonnie's shirt and blankets were pushed back into place, Katherine slipped back into her shoes and out of the house, all in the 5 seconds it took for Bonnie to wake up.

Oh, she was really sensitive, then.

Something to keep in mind for next time.

Until Katherine had everything she wanted: Bonnie.
