I woke up from my immersive indeed quite a ride dream. What day is it? Christmas… I look back to my partner, Mumei, who was sleeping soundly, Then I look back at myself happily. Christmas..! I stood up from my bed and putted my slippers on and went downstairs...quietly thought… I soonly—I mean supposed to be prepared with at least 2 cups of Hot cocoa NOW. Yes, maybe I'm going to make Hot cocoa… I'm going to try though.. I–Yes, at a moment, I did remember I don't know how to cook… Like god knows if I even know how to make hot cocoa? But hey! Let's test how good my luck is going to be next year… Shame on me- But no doubt, I wanna surprise my girlfriend with it. I'm just proud, not unless something happens exactly. I prepared the ingredients I needed, But tell me what this sounds easyy peassyy~, bet this YouTube video helps me. Likewise, I proceeded to follow those YouTube steps, like what goes wrong exactly? It just feels like I'm those moms that watch cooking vids while cooking..felt. Really doubts me if I made a wrong move. Just as I putted the vanilla extract in, I heard a sound. Wouldn't think it was Mumei, no? Well, delusional as ever. Wouldn't I really think it was her? Must have the wind I say because why would I copy those things in the movies? Pretty dram—
“Kronii?”
I was wrong, I jumped while I was stirring the hot unfinished or uncooked cocoa, God…really had me wrong too bad.
“GWAK— Oh-uh Hey Mumei...Good morning sweetheart”
Tell me what, this isn't a surprise anymore, I look into her eyes as she passes by. I was currently standing in front of the stove with a wooden spoon I'm holding. The good thing I wasn't caught as she just looked at me. Easy as I thought? Like, come on? She pops out of nowhere beside me while I was stirring…not when I looked to my left.
“GWAkk— Mumei…”
“Whatcha cooking early in the mornin~?” she says curiously
It's giving me nostalgia if I should say it, can't lie, this isn't a surprise now anyways.
“Oh..Just making hot cocoa..”
I said as I focus on what I'm doing while my heart is thumping like crazy! What!
“Quite rare to see you cook,” Mumei said softly while smirking and at the same time looking into her eyes.
I straighten my back “God…god..please…PLEASEEE!!” I beg as my heart pumps out loud I can feel it! No, why does it feels like I'm going to die…Why am I flustered? Is it because I hate it when people are looking at me while I cook? Just calm down…
“Oh..o-of Course yeah..” I replied with my cold sweats.
Just for a while, I calmed down..I putted the hot cocoa in the mugs that are designed in a snowflake pattern from the saucepan that I used and putted the soft puffed marshmallows on top of the hot cocoa. I mean if the marshmallows are lost is it even called hot cocoa? Actually, I don't know but intrusive thoughts are almost winning at some point. I gently placed both mugs on the counter.
Mumei picks up the mug and I stand at the side nervously as I wait for her to taste it, Yeah yeah…I know, Hot cocoa is easy to cook, serve, bake or whatever you guys call the cooking of it but you know! First tries aren't that good…if I say so but trying at worth..totally not to impress anything like..? Right? I know where this is going though…It's a bet now.. I look at her INTENSELY as she tastes the hot cocoa.
“So..How’d it taste?”
“It's fine, I love it actually” she chuckles. “Maybe…you wanna join those cooking clubs with those moms and dad people”
Just a second I was afraid but now I ended here for some reason..
“Those…??? What..No! Why would I..! It was supposed to be a surprise though…I was thinking that I would wake you up after cooking it”
“Quite sweet of you Kronii! Sorry if I ruined it..but I love you anyways~! Merry Christmas~” she said as she adds a chu on my cheek
I was flabbergasted indeed..but in a very lovely way… I love her too… I sat beside her while drinking my hot cocoa, But god yes, this cocoa is good..or is it the chocolate that made it..meh. It really tells me I'll be a better cook this 2023. Proves to me.
“Kronii?”
“Yea?” I look at her.
“What do we do this Christmas?”
I look outside of the window and it's quite briefly the most normal things to do in Christmas..it was the most fun though. I looked at her back giving her the look of ”are you thinking of what I'm thinking” then I took a sip at my mug. She looks at me back with exciting eyes.
“Let's go!” She said, Literally just what I thought exactly.
She's like a child..I love her when she's happy or is it her getting energetic after drinking a mug of hot cocoa. I drank my hot cocoa and prepared for the day. I putted on my winter garments and so did she. I totally didn’t peak. We were ready to go outside to see the beautiful snow nature gives us BUT as I opened the door…the whole pathway was filled with snow…gosh darn it…it isn't that bad or hard walking in snow right? Just as I looked back to Mumei, she was already holding a shovel—?!?! I giving demand. Darn owl..I easily shoved all the snow out from our pathway to the end. We don't have any kids(For at least now…hah..)to play and watch them play…so we’re the ones going to play while the neighbour's kids are watching us as if we are the kids in an adult’s body…like right? Who doesn't have fun on Christmas? Were hitting ourselves with snowballs, made snow angels, drew illustrations in the snow and all those things you could have fun in the snow! I feel like a kid again just when we had the idea of creating a snowman version of us. I started rolling small snowballs into big ones and medium ones. The struggle sometimes to roll them. After we decided to decorate it, and so we got little pebbles that we got from digging in the ground, barely found a rock..Suit it because we got at least 11 little rocks and placed them on the uncompleted snowman. Now it has eyes and a face, now so we gather sticks that barely looks like even hands, Normal sticks I say It's fine. But my snowman gotta be as perfect as me. Ha ha ha ha..Just after we completed a normal snowman and so does Mumei we decided..obviously from the start to make it look like ourselves and I decided to decorate mine with twigs that have those straight line and had that 90 degrees or 70 degree turn to whatever direction…I don't care. As long as it matches my front hair. And so on I just rolled my extra scarf that has that hourglass pattern. Meanwhile, Mumei was creating herself with 2 feathers at the back of her snowman resembling her 2 feathers— No I don't think what was the design she was doing to her snowman—I just saw a carved monst—[TIME SKIP], What? I know I know, I had fun..(getting scared)
Both Me and Mumei lying down on our snow angels.
“Kronii? Do you wanna go somewhere other than our front yard playin on snow?”She looks at me as she asks
“Is there somewhere you wanna go? Or maybe let's go on a Christmas date” I replied back looking into her eyes and totally knew or maybe I forgot that this is probably already a date..?? I count everything as a date.
“Somewhere nothing special…just right for us” she replied.
“Is that so? Maybe we could go to the festival to see them beautiful lights?”
“That would be beautiful.” Mumei looks back to the sky while snowflakes drop at our faces.
“Sounds like a plan”
Just as 8 pm strikes, They arrive at the light festival. Even the entrance is glowing like you're entering heaven due to how bright the light is like your path. Kronii opens the door for Mumei like a gentleman; while then Mumei excitingly looks at the light.
As I closed the car door and managed to lock it, she held my left hand through the parking lot to the entrance. I know how excited this pretty owl is. Before we went inside, I stopped Mumei from pulling me.
“Wait, babe,”
“What is it?” she replies.
“There might be a payment going in?”
“No silly! I'll ask that man!”
I was still pulled to that man with her,
“Sir, is the entrance free?” She asks.
The man replied to her
“Yes.” In a very deep voice.
“See Kronii!”
Dear lord, how’d his voice be that deep..Eats…eggs every day.. While my thoughts were piled up I was still being pulled in just by a second she stop pulling. I look at her eyes..it's shining.. then I look at the view. The designs were decent and beautiful and the lights were just too right and quite bright. Mumei started to go to the lights and kept taking a picture with them. Yes, This day was totally full of pictures; I mean..who wouldn't—Nah, It was full of love too. The lights and the views are sure nice. After going to the festival, I usually have a surprise for occasions..! So tonight I already prepared a surprise late-night dinner in a fancy restaurant, fancy? Not that fancy, just right. Pretty sure I registered and reserved a set already, I mean?? Right.
1 hour after all of the happenings, Walking to the parking lot.
“Looks like you had a lot of fun with the magician earlier” gives shivers..
“Yeah! Are we going home?”
“No, do you know the drill?” I replied smirking.
“No, I forgor.”
“Oh.”
Once when we got to the car, I opened the door for her and so I also hopped in the car and started driving. 13 min on the road.
“Hey Kronii…this is not our way home..?”
“Well we aint eating leftovers today,” I said confidently.
“???” She[Mumei] slightly gives a questionable face like a real owl.
After about 5-10 min in the car or more, The car have entered the city. Mumei is still confused as she looks at
“Silly Mumei, you always forgor.”
Kronii parked in front of a restaurant or should I call it a buffet? Well, it is a more different one than the others. Kronii steps out of the car seat and offers to open the door for Mumei as usual. What a gentleman—gentlewoman I mean. Mumei looks up at the sign/ name of the restaurant.
“Interesting name, is this a restaurant or buffet?’
“Why don't we see when we go inside?”
“But isn't the “restaurant” full? And we gotta wait outside just to reserve a table?” She replied
“Well yeah first of all, many restaurants are closed this Christmas day, it was rare to reserve on Christmas…of course, there are a lot of people here but no need to worry babe, Just snap now.”
“Right :D”
We both proceeded inside the restaurant then a waiter greeted us in front of the entrance.
“Welcome ma’am, may I ask if you have reserved a table online? We’ve been full currently, especially this Christmas, we kindly ask you to give us your patients if ever you're going to reserve a table now.”
“We're fine thank you for your kindness, We’ve reserved a table online,” Kronii replied back in a very formal and the most kindest way back.
“If so, Would you please follow me to your table?” Both followed the waiter to their table
“Now we’re here, I'm hungry..” Kronii said
“Oooh are there berries here?”
“Let's check it out then.”
Both stood to get food and so they ate. —[TIME SKIP] (About when they sat back at the table with their food) While eating I took a sip of my red wine in a wine glass.
“Want some babe?”
“No thank you,” She replied back.
I nodded back.

I was looking at my food peacefully, then just out of nowhere..I slowly look up and look into her eyes out of curiosity. Then suddenly I'm quietly eye-gazing?? I just feel something whenever I look at her eyes, it's just calm and heartwarming… Her golden-brown eyes are just perfect.. I just felt like my future with her. All of a sudden her eye lifted up looking back at my eyes while munching. She swallows and she asked :
“Is there something on my face”
Typical love stories, as I stuttered with embarrassment..
“Ah- N—I mean yeah.., Let me wipe it for you..” I said even if she doesn't have any…this is.. embarrassing and stupid at the same time…
I picked up a napkin and proceed to wipe her chin and cheeks and I tried to look away…So then we proceeded to eat.

I dropped my spoon to my plate and wipe my mouth gently while I watch Mumei finishing up.
“Done?” I said softly
“Mhm!”
After she confirmed I called the waiter to check out. Who cares how much it is like it ain't that bad…?? After I paid, we proceeded back to the car and once again I opened the car for her and so I hopped in the car too. The engine starts and the car starts to move.
“Ha.. I'm paid..”
I look back to Mumei who was looking out the window peacefully, I looked back to the road smiling. When we reached our house, Mumei fell asleep on the way. I parked the car and carried her to the bedroom. It was almost midnight, I changed my clothes and I slowly…and not SUS changed mumei’s clothes and placed her on her side. As usual, I locked the doors and made sure everything is safe and sound. I hopped in bed trying to not make a noise. I opened the sheets…quie—
“Kronii..” Mumei as she mumbled.
“I'm here” Well I thought I was quiet, Right..? I hugged in close with her.
“Kronii…Thank you..” I held her closer..
“I love you..merry Christmas babe.”
“Mhmm..I love you too..” she replies in a very sleepy voice.
“I wish to have the same Christmas together again…<33”
“Mhmmp..Why not add anoth—Yawns… member..” She falls asleep.
“Member? What member?” I look back at her and she's already deep asleep all of a sudden..
Maybe I should not worry much, I'll know next year will be much better. This is all I want for Christmas and it has been given, I'm grateful for her being in in my life. Her smile gives me the reason to be with her forever. I love her.
I slowly close my eyes and fell asleep.
