Chapter Text
It started off the same as any other day for Casey. Wake up at the butt crack of dawn, train for a few hours, then go down to have some of Mikey's cooking for breakfast. However, for some reason, today felt different, but the kind of different that didn't make you nervous- it was a good different. Suffice to say, Casey was weirded out. He felt like someone he knew from his past was going to show up. Someone he thought was dead....
______________
To say that Mikey was excited was a bit of an understatement. Raph had finally let him go out on his own for his first solo mission, even though it was only patrol. As Mikey was jumping along the rooftops of New York, he noticed a portal similar to his brothers, but different. Instead of it being an electric blue, it was more of a dark meson blue. But what came out of it was even more surprising- a 6' tall turtle that looked like Leo came out. Panicked, Mikey tried to call Donnie. It was sent straight to voicemail. Dang it, Donnie! Why didn't I just try to call Raph, he always picks up! Mikey thought. So, he called Raph. Surprise surprise, he picked up before it had even rang twice. "Hey buddy, how's patrol? You ok?" Raph asked. "Hi Raph, I'm fine. Patrol is going great, but I don't think this guy is. He has a huge gash in his side." Mikey sounded worried and Raph immediately picked up on it. "Where are you right now?" "I'm on the corner of 3rd and Walnut street." Mikey said. "Ok buddy, I'll be there in five."
When Raph got there, he was shocked to see what looked like his younger brother, but at the same time wasn't. For one, the turtle looked to be in his early to mid twenties, no taller than 6', and.... had a prosthetic that looked like Raph's arm? For two, and probably what disturbed Raph the most was that he looked almost exactly like Leo, save for the three stripes running down his chin and throat. Only after noticing all that did he see his baby brother next to the turtle's side, applying pressure to the wound like they'd been taught. "Raph, we gotta get him back to the lair. Leo can help him there!" Mikey said, still sounding panicked. "Yeah, sure- just lemme pick him up." With that, the three were on their way back to the lair as fast as they could go.
Since Raph had left in such a hurry, and without telling them where he was going (although they were pretty sure he was going to check on Mickey since it was his first solo mission), everyone was anxiously waiting for them to get back. However, they weren't ready for Raph to have another turtle slung over his shoulder. "Leo, we need your help in the medbay asap!" Mikey said. They all could hear the panicked in his voice. They all went to the medbay as quickly as they could after seeing Raph rush in like that. Donnie and Splinter were in the back, but could still hear the conversation just fine. "How did you find him? He looks really beaten up." Leo questioned. "I didn't really find him, it's more like a portal like yours popped up and then he came out of it." Mikey explained. "I wonder what happened to this poor guy. Thankfully his gash isn't too bad, but it'll still need stitches. Though. It also looks like it's getting infected, so we'll have to take care of that too." Leo said as he walked around the medbay, getting the supplies he needed to treat the turtle. "Although, we'll have to wait till he wakes up to see who he is." Splinter and Donnie walked up to the unknown turtle, trying to see who he was. In a state of delirium, said turtle woke up. "Dad? Donnie? Raph? Mikey? Am I finally dead too?" How does he know our names? Why does he sound kinda sad? Donnie thought. "Why do you think you are dead?" Splinter asked. "Because I was shot with a kraang cannon right after seeing my baby brother die to send the kid back to fix things." He was shot with a cannon? They all thought. Unfortunately, before they could ask who he was, he was out cold again.
