Chapter Text
"Hey did you know the inside of your cheek is the same texture as a girl's mappa tassie?"
As if on que all of the guys present curiously roll their tongues within their mouths to taste check. All except the only Border Collie present who only quirked a brow.
"Okay, Champ," in jest, Mackenzie rolls his eyes at his friend's antics. As far as he knew everyone here's a virgin except maybe Rusty.
Himself included. So what would they know?
"No really," Pretzel insists. "My older cousin in Uni told me so, he even had two girlfriends at once so he knows what he's talking about.
How many girlfriends have you had Mackenzie?"
Mackenzie waves him off, now showing more interest in his phone than the conversation.

"W h a t.
Are they doing?" Judo asks aloud in distaste, facing the direction of the boys sitting atop the bleachers some distance away.
The girls sat in a close knit circle under the shade of the many trees adorning the grounds of their campus.
Honey takes a peek. "Must be related to that video trending on Barky-Tube." She answers offhandedly, stealing another veggie chip from Indy's low sodium bag as she turns another page of her biology book.
"Oh I've seen that," the Afghan hound says while munching delicately on another.
"It's true by the way,"
Bluey sat near the center of their circle, closest to the tree. Leaning back on it as she sketched absently. Chiming into the conversation here and there until the current topic piqued her interest enough to stop mid sketch and look up.
"What's true?"
"The trend, the inside of our cheek IS made from the same tissue as our vaginas.
I’m honestly surprised so many are barely learning about it now.”
At that point, some of the girls couldn't help but curiously lick within their closed mouths just to see for themselves, Bluey included.
Coco went the extra mile and stuck a finger in her mouth to feel around before pulling out with a 'pop'
"Oh my god it's true! I never realized," The pink poodle piped in amazement.
"I mean not that I would know what my walls taste like- ha- I'm not that flexible but the feeling is identical,"
It was no secret some of the girls masturbated or had experienced some levels of sexual intimacy already and swapped stories about it. While those that hadn't yet, would listen with a keen ear whenever the subject was brought up and asked questions.
They felt closer for it, sharing personal details amongst themselves and especially their love lives.
Just last week Judo almost reluctantly came forward with news that she finally received her first kiss. With her neighbor Lucky no less. Getting more details after that was tricky
The Chow Chow can come off as brash and assertive but everyone knew she had a kind heart and had a little trouble expressing her more vulnable side.
Needless to say, everyone was ecstatic for her.
Speaking of Lucky
The conversation drops when a ball lands near them and the Golden Retriever jogs by to collect, “Hi girls,” he greets them politely. They respond back in kind like a choir. “Hi lucky,”
“Hey Judo,” He directs a more personal greeting to the sitting Chow Chow while he kneels to grab the ball, tail wagging. “How's your day?”
Judo snubs him in response, pointedly sticking her nose in the opposite direction with crossed arms. “Fine,” she answers in a clipped tone.
Sensing he wouldn't get more than that and knowing very well how Judo is, Lucky just beams in response, unbothered as he stands and jogs towards his mates. “By girls!” he waves back.
Bluey turns back to Judo in astonishment, that was a little rude and Lucky didn't deserve that but before she could express that she took a calming breath. Experience with cousin Muffin taught her patience and to choose her words carefully in a controlled tone.
“Ah, What was that?” Bluey asked calmly. Unable to comprehend Judo’s cold shoulder treatment to her first kiss.
“Are you trying to play hard to get or something Judo? He clearly likes you,” She voices what the others around them had been thinking.
“What? Am I supposed to date the first boy who kisses me? I don’t owe him anything,” Bluey wasn't sure what to say to that so Honey chimes in, eyes focused on her book.
“You could stand to be a little nicer.”
“And give him the wrong idea? My mum told me not to give my heart away so easily to the first bloke and that I’ll always have options.”
“Is that why she’s divorced and still single?” Coco inquired earnestly. It was not her intention to take a jab at Judo but that's how the Chow Chow took it when she shot the pink Poodle a look.
To her credit Coco did not back down and smiled placidly. She did nothing wrong by asking a harmless question. It was true after all.
They weren't going to get anywhere at this rate. The girls continued back and forth with Judo and Bluey took a backseat from the conversation.
Leaving it for now, she decides to focus back on her drawing when she feels someone watching her.
She looks in the direction of the bleachers just in time to see Mackenzie whip his gaze elsewhere.
She smiles and pulls out her phone.

Mackenzie had been debating going over to the girls group just so he could chat with Bluey and take a peek at what she's sketching this time. But looking over at the girls again he decided to stay put. Their conversation looked a little heated and he was sure he didn't want to know the details or get in the middle of it.
They could be talking about anything, usually personal things and as much as he likes his girl buddies he didn't need to know intimate details of their lives. He’s been unlucky in the past as some of them didn't even see him as a male and he’s heard some things he wished he could forget.
The guys were already bad enough.
A /Ping/ draws his attention back to his phone screen and a flicker of a smile curves his lip as a message from Bluey greets him.
『Hey Kenzie 👋』
『Hey BluesClues, we didn't get a chance to talk this morning』
『What did I tell you about calling me that Border Boy? I was helping Chloe in the photography room, what's your excuse? 』
『Overslept. And you know how i feel about "Kenzie" besides, BluesClues is a term of endearment ;P』
『Must have been watching a lot of porn last night. And I’ll call you Kenzie if i want. Its MY term of endearment 』
『NO! I just got caught up in my new video game last night and stayed up longer than I should have. geez.』
『I’m just teasing Kenzie 😂』
『Anyway, What are you drawing?』
『Holy SHit. I’ll never get over how good you are.』
『Thanks, so. Why do you insist on calling me BluesClues?』
『Because you're an Enigma.』
『How? I thought i was an open book. If anything your the one whos hard to read sometimes.』
『Funny you’d say that, weve known eachother how long? Yet you still surprise me. Everytime i THINK i have you figured out- you go and do something random and spontaneous. sending me right back to square one.』
『Enigma.』
『Lol. ok i see your point.』
『 Bluesclues can stay. I honestly thought you were teasing because of that kid show』
『Nope. just trying to figure out the mystery that is Bluey』
『Hey Just because we dont know everything about eachother doesnt make it a bad thing. Were not the same kids we were back then, We keep growing and changing. Leaves room for plenty of new surprises ya know.』
『Yeah I guess your right. Who knows what we’ll be like another 10 years from now』
『exactly. Now. will you stop giving me grief for calling you kenzie?』
『People already think its a girls name. But alright fine. Just not in front of the others or they’ll do it too』
『You know i wont promise that ;P』
The bell rang, signifying the end of lunch break and the boys hop off the bleachers, chatting among themselves and shoving each other playfully as they file inside.
Mackenzie lagged behind, in the corner of his eye he peeks at Bluey gathering her things and briskly catching up to her friends on the other side of the dispersing crowd.
She takes a glance in his direction and catches him watching, she smiles at him with a friendly wave.
He waves back until she disappears through the doorway, among the last to leave the outdoor grounds.
When he thought no one was watching he halts in his tracks and looks off to the side, the blue heeler in mind, he experimentally flicks his tongue against his inner cheek.
