Chapter 1: PROLOGUE

Chapter Text

How do you break Cale Henituse's dream?

Alver Crossman, the newly crowned Emperor of the Rowoon Empire, already has an ace up his sleeve.

“As Emperor of the Great Rowoon, Cale Henituse!”

Damn it. Cale curses the direction of this bastard emperor’s primordial shitshow.

Raon already climbed on his back

“At this moment, I will appoint you as Prime Minister, whether you like it or not!”

But Cale isn’t someone who would like to do something like that. Cale Henituse was flying, looking like an angel with huge black dragon wings.

Human, are you going to do this?

Cale raised both his hands and said, “I have a calling.”

Alver Crossman frowned. Cale is making his play.

"I HAVE BEEN CALLED, AND THIS IS NOT MY PLACE!"

“Who would believe that?! Alver was about to catch the redhead. “Your slacker life has never called you, not even once!  ”

"There exists an unknown land in a faraway land that I must visit!" Cale said slowly as he flew away in the sky, looking like an angel with black wings.

This time. This time for sure! He won’t be stopped from seeking his slacker life! Not even this bastard of a Hyung-nim!

"You're high! You drank too much lemon tea! Get back here, you bastard!" Alver shouted, earning a huge frown from the servant who serves that poison tea.

"Goodbye!" Cale exclaimed before disappearing from view.

Collective sighs echoed. Even the people of Rowoon sigh.

“Hah... I guess, now that he has immunity, he can’t be tied down anymore,” Robbit said. He was the one who suggested giving the hero immunity from punishment.

“And who said I should give him that?”

"I apologize," Robbit said, smiling. He can’t tell Alver that Antonio Gyerre convinced him to propose that. "Anyway, let's just put up some posters and wait for Lord Cale to return.

"That bastard won't return until the end of the world," Alver, who knew what kind of person Cale Henituse was, said. "His love for his inexistent slacker life is so powerful that he'll search for it to the ends of the world."

He can find that bastard.

Cale Henituse.

Be sure to enjoy that little period with your slacker life.

[XXXXX]

“Hah! This is life!” Cale smirks.

If this is the world, then it’s round. There should be someplace he can go without anyone knowing. His living taxi, Archie, and Paethon accompanied him on his journey to the other side of the world. The whales are migrating around the world, so he asked them if they knew someplace he could go peacefully.

Luckily, he came to a place that resembled an Asian country.

Home sweet home!

Cale cast off his clothes and, with his people, purchased a house on a mountain.

"Take your time learning the language," he advised after recording it. They were currently in Hangzhou. An ancient Chinese city in the record book.

Wow, the world is truly round.

Cale made everyone's hair black with magic. There’s no use standing out too much in this kind of place, especially if it’s a place where there is discrimination based on race. That’s how ancient Asia was before. Some strict people follow so many customs, but this is fine. No one would think he’d be here. It’s a good thing, that Vicross learned how to cook Asian dishes, they can safely open up and shop for this.

“Let’s roam around for now,” Cale said.

Of course, everyone gladly does so.

He came across a man dressed in red. He had a beautifully designed red umbrella. He appeared to be young. He's too young, but he exudes such a powerful aura that it's impossible to look away.

"Come in," he said.

The boy looked at him, puzzled.

"You appear to be wandering around... It's cold and raining, mind sharing a cup of tea?"

The weather right now is worse; it’s heavily raining, and one can say this kid looked pitiful while taking refuge in that rain.

“Thank you.” The boy in red looked like he was fifteen or seventeen.

Cale sat down with the children surrounding him. Choi Han was burning some wood to make the room warm. Vicross was busy cooking while Ron brewed them some fresh tea with the ceramics they bought earlier.

"Are you a noble?" the boy inquired.

"In my place, yes... but I'm in the middle of running away."

Cale responded to him as if nothing was wrong, and the boy laughed.

"You're quite strange, mister... But you're the type of person I like, and you appeared strong as well."

"Believe me, I'm the worst person you'd meet if this were my place," Cale huffed.

The boy smiled at him and drank some tea. He was checking the weather to see if the rain had stopped.

"Aren't you in the process of fleeing somewhere?"

"Yes," he admitted hesitantly, "I'm the third son... everyone calls me San Lang... but mister can call me Hua... and I'm looking for someone as well."

“they seemed like a very important person,” Cale said. “Crash here tonight and rest. Leave when it has already stopped raining.”

The boy, Hua, looked at him with a huge smile on his face. Cale felt like he was staring at him fiercely, so he met his gaze.

"Everyone here is on guard while Mister relaxes..." the boy said, "I've been in disguise but it appears I've been busted."

Cale smiled and said, “You’re just a boy.”

“I’m seventeen.”

“Then a boy.” Cale replied, “I have my fill of dangerous kids, so I might as well get used to it.”

“Haha,” the boy laughed, “Mister is strange. What is Mister’s name?”

“Cale…”

“kǎi ěr-dage?”

[Note: there are no c or l in ancient Chinese, they all turned to k and r, and there will be two syllabi. Ca/le = kay/le = kǎi/ěr or kaiyer]

Cale smiled and said, “Hua-xiǎodi.”

“I’ll visit sometime again, Dage.” Hua said, standing up, “There’s somewhere I need to go right now.”

The boy looked like he was rushing. He opened the door, but as soon as the door closed, Raon, who was looking out, said, “That was good teleportation magic.”

“It’s not magic,” Cale said.

“What is it then?”

"It's cultivation..." Cale stood up and looked out the window.

"We're in a real cultivation/Murim sect setting." Cale looked out and saw cultivators flying on their swords and battling something dark in the air. He can see white and green fighting in the air.

"I've read them..." Choi Han explained, "they're similar to training aura, but they have a golden core."

“Golden Core?”

"Yes... it's like a golden orb to immortality."

Ron and Vicross exchanged glances.

"Would you like to learn them? If you have the aptitude, they will accept you."

Ron and Vicross nodded. There’s nothing wrong with trying. They’ll ask which sect is nearest to this place.

“Can we learn it too?” Hong taps Cale’s cheek.

“If you want, you can.”

Well, after the red-robed boy left, something crashed into their house. a young cultivator looking up at the green-robed cultivator.

“SHIZUN!”

“Lou Binghe! Better get back here!”

“Yes, Shizun...” the boy rose from his position and turned to them, saying, “Please excuse me. I’ll come by later to apologize!” before riding on his sword.

The children marveled at that, while Vicross seemed interested.

They’re currently at the border of the Yiling and Cangqiong mountains.

“Yeah, let’s look around tomorrow.”

That night was so hectic because it was their first day in ancient China.

But who would expect to see a sea urchin begging for food in the middle of winter in the middle of the streets?

“Gege. Can I ask for some food?”

The good-hearted Cale Hentiuse, of course, couldn’t ignore the child.

"Where is your parent?" Cale inquired as he handed him so mantou and sat next to him.

 "They're gone."

Cale looked at the kitten, who took a liking to the child’s lap.

“Hey… do you want to come with me?’

As usual, he’s not someone who can ignore kids like this.

“I am Ying. Courtesy Wu—xian.”

Hearing his name, Cale Henituse began feeling cold up to his feet.

Wait a minute…

"Yoh! Dage! I found the person I was looking for last night," the red-robed boy from the previous night appeared, as did the boy who crashed into their house. "Xiansheng, my name is Lou Bignhe from Cangqiong Mountain, and I am here to apologize."

Their smiles made him nervous.

He remembered how that bastard of an Emperor used to smile like that.

Nothing comes good whenever Alver smiles like that.

Damn it…

He remembered now.

A bastard demon sprawls.

A shitty whining demonic cultivator.

And the bastard demon king

Why did he even forget?

Cale Henituse why are you so good at finding trouble?!

“Dage/Ge/Xiansheng?”

Those smiles are the worse thing for a morning hangover tea!
