Tony bit his tongue as he flushed the toilet and set the small pink and white stick on the counter of the bathroom. He watched the clock anxiously, pacing around the room as it read his results. He took a deep breath, afraid to look at what the stick of fate would tell him. In a quick moment, he opened his eyes and there, as plain as day, were two solid blue lines.
Tony held the test in his hand, tears welling up in his eyes. He didn't want to believe it, he couldn't be pregnant. He was only 16, he wasn't old enough to take care of a baby. Let alone financially provide for one with how he was living now. He couldn't leave it in the bathroom trash for Grue to see, he'd get concerned. And Tony hated when Grue would get concerned, because all he would do is sit Tony down in a chair and have a talk with him for at least an hour like he was some little kid who had done something bad. He couldn't stay here anymore. He'd be ruined if they found out he was pregnant. He held his hands in his face, trying to muffle his sobbing.
He sniffled, putting the pregnancy test into his jacket pocket and leaving the bathroom. Tony left the house wordlessly, and he began walking down the street. The only thing he could think of doing was going to Bobby’s Cellar and drowning his sorrows in a sundae. And maybe a drink or two. But no, that wouldn't be good for the baby. Tony despised that he was already thinking about the health of the damn thing. He knew he couldn't do anything but keep it, he didn't trust putting the child up for adoption after birth, considering the terrible people that lived around.
Tony opened the door to the bar with hesitance, watching as several patrons turned around to see the boy in the red coat. He couldn't help feeling embarrassed, knowing what he had in his pocket, he wondered if he already had a noticeable bump. Part of him really hoped that he did. A sign of the precious life within…
Eugh.
Of all people that night, Gilver was probably the one that Tony wanted to see both the most and the least. He grumbled into the empty glass of ice cream as the man sat beside him. Gilver didn't speak much, and Tony didn't need him to speak right now. He handed the bartender a stack of bills and the woman behind the counter got to work. She slid over two glasses of alcohol, Gilver placing one of them in front of Tony. He looked up only slightly from where his face was buried in his crossed arms, voice coming out muffled.
“No. I don't wanna…” He sounded pathetic, he realized. And that made him feel even worse about the situation. Gilver reached for the glass but Tony’s hand stopped him and brought the booze closer to himself. The other man may have laughed, but Tony couldn't hear it.
“For somebody who doesn't want a drink, you seem to be attached to it.” Tony hated the way Gilver’s voice sounded right now. It was too calm. Why was he always so calm? It was annoying. Gilver was annoying. Annoyingly handsome. Annoyingly perfect Gilver. Fuck him and his perfect everything.
“Go on, relax. Have a drink. I paid for it.” Tony grumbled again, sitting up from the counter and looking at Gilver. “I really shouldn't.” He said, sliding the glass towards him. “Why not?” Tony didn't answer, he wasn't going to tell him that he was pregnant. Because he knew that Gilver was going to gloat. He gloated over the stupidest shit ever, and Tony hated him for it.
“Because I don't wanna, that's why. Can't you take no for an answer?” Tony slammed his hands on the bar counter, quickly standing up from his seat. He heard something clatter to the floor, and Gilver was the one to see it and pick it up. He paused for a moment, looking at Tony and back to the test in his hand. Wordlessly, he grabbed Tony by the arm and dragged him along. Tony shouted and beat against his arm, but he wouldn't budge. No one in the bar paid them much attention and before he knew it, Gilver had taken Tony outside into the back alley of the bar.
“You slut.” Gilver sneered, backing the teen up against the wall. He placed his arm beside Tony’s head as the younger boy attempted to slink down the wall, face redder than his jacket. Gilver shoved the pregnancy test in his face, waving it around.
“What's this, Tony? Mind telling me why there's two blue lines here, hm?” Tony shivered, both from the cold and rising anxiety in his chest. He didn't want the man to find out, this was exactly what he was trying to avoid. But why did Gilver even care? Why did it concern him? He shouldn't care. And yet Tony was almost terrified.
“Now…” Gilver began, putting the pregnancy test in his own pocket. Tony grimaced for a moment, that was gross. “You have two options. Come back inside with me, and have some drinks with me. Or. I tell everyone what a slut you are. Brave and brash Tony Redgrave, pregnant at just 16 years old.” He smirked in his awful way, and extended a hand for Tony to take.
With hesitance, Tony took his hand and wiped oncoming tears away with the other. Sure, he'd eventually be unable to hide his stomach once he got far along enough, but that would be less embarrassing than having Gilver announce it to everyone in the bar. Tony couldn't hear what the other man had said, but it sounded cocky. He grumbled, going back inside and sitting at the bar.
Time blurred and melted together. All Tony knew is that he was feeling good. He felt stupid, his brain on another planet. He'd laugh at the worst jokes that would have sober him cringing. The worst part had to be how flirty he was with Gilver. He just couldn't help himself, laughing and grabbing onto his suit. Soon enough, they were heading somewhere. Tony didn't know where they were going, he was way too shitfaced to understand direction at the moment. It seemed to be a hotel, and a minute or so passed before Tony was haphazardly tossed onto a bed.
Once Tony had pieced together that they were going to have sex, he spluttered and laughed at Gilver.
“Wait! You can't… I'm already pregnant, you can't put anotha baby in me.. that's not… you can't do that!” He giggled, starting to disrobe anyways. It did confuse him as to why Gilver wanted to have sex with him when he was already pregnant. That's what he had told him last time, that he was going to get pregnant. And it worked! He was pregnant! All Gilver did in response was chuckle and start to remove Tony’s clothing.
“Sex isn't just for making children.” Tony blinked, confused for a few seconds before he burst into a fit of giggles. “You're silly! Yes it is…” Nevertheless, Tony complied as he was undressed and manoeuvred into different positions. “Why else would people have sex?” Tony sounded so innocent compared to how his face and body were flushed and he spread his legs wide for the man above him.
“Because it's fun. And you like fun things, right?” Tony nodded in agreement, watching Gilver’s cock slide into his cunt with a stupid grin on his face. He bottomed out and began thrusting, but Tony remained unresponsive. He stared at the spot where they connected with a look of determination. He was panting, tongue ever so slightly sticking out between his lips.
Eventually, Tony started to make more noise and was caught off guard by the sudden orgasm that shook his body. He shuddered and laughed as his back arched off the bed. After he calmed down, Tony grabbed Gilver’s wrist and demanded he make it happen again.
By the end of the night, Gilver was wondering how Tony was going to be able to father a child when he could hardly hold himself together long enough before screaming his name. Tony wouldn't remember a thing, but he’d crawl back and beg for Gilver’s help.
And crawl back he did.
Weeks later, Tony woke up needing to vomit. For the next hour, he couldn't get up from the toilet bowl as his body tried to get rid of whatever was inside of him. It had gotten to the point where he was crying from the exertion.
Gilver came over shortly after, as if he knew something was going on. And technically, he did. Gilver had been closely tracking Tony’s pregnancy since the day he came stumbling into Bobby’s Cellar looking like he was going to scream his lungs out in despair.
He placed a gentle hand on the small of Tony’s back, rubbing soothing circles as he listened to Tony sob and blubber through the explanation of his feelings while pregnant. He was so emotional, he always had splitting headaches and he could hardly move some days. Gilver shushed him and carried him to his bedroom.
“I will be here for you.” He smiled, holding Tony’s hand as he laid him down in bed. Tony sniffled but managed to return the smile. Gilver thought that he looked absolutely radiant while carrying his child, even with tears streaming down his face.
—
9 months had gone so fast, and Gilver heard the news before he saw it. He had taken him to a hotel again to spend the night because Tony had nearly collapsed in the middle of the street from pain. The next morning Gilver was woken up by a pained screech from the man beside him. It was happening, Tony was in labour. And Gilver would get to see it all.
Tony continued to scream, breathing heavily and body shaking from how he was pushing. Gilver wasn't an expert at delivering babies but he’d certainly try. The entire time he stroked Tony’s hair, watching him struggle to push the baby out.
After several hours and quite a bit of blood loss later, Tony held his newborn son to his chest and heavy sobs wracked his body. He was in disbelief at how the child had made it.
The baby was beautiful, with white hair and blue eyes to match Tony’s own. Which was a bit strange, considering that he was sure the father would have some kind of appearance in the child. Now that he thought about it… how did he even get pregnant in the first place.
A memory flashed through his mind of a night where he had gotten so drunk and taken to a hotel room. He woke up sore and with something sticky between his thighs. The man who had taken him there that night, and the one who had been suspiciously with him this whole time was…
“Gilver!” Tony screamed, furious at the man who had taken advantage of him and raped him. The man whose child he had just given birth to in front of him. The man that was gone now. The man that would ruin his life forever.
