Chapter Text
Humans are frail and fragile beings which explains why after so many years and with the rapid rise of learning, A.I. technology, and the increase in pandemics and other diseases, C.A.R.E. robotics, and animatronics, a side company of Fazbear entertainment, industries became the norm. Curing, Alleviating, Rehabilitating, and Empathizing robotics and animatronics were created and placed in many hospitals and care facilities worldwide. However, as with most things, Fazbear's money became a factor, and the C.A.R.E robotics company branched off from simple healing robots and made the. Communication, Accountability, Responsiveness, and Empathy robotics for customer service purposes in retail outlets and food service.
It was fine for the first ten or so years, humans simply becoming entertainment moguls for themselves and only working if they were in the robotics industry. However, this changed after a group of robots, and animatronics had enough of how they were treated, and the robot uprising began. It only took three years for robots and animatronics to take over the world. Nothing changed other than that instead of humans performing for their entertainment. They now serve the robots and are kept as glorified pets, not allowed out in public unless with their owner or with shock bands letting others know who they belong to. Then there are the people enslaved used to repair bots, a group owned by a large group of Customer C.A.R.E. Robots that have yet to come up with a name for themselves after five years.
So that was life now. Humans walk around tethered to robots as pets and companions or the unfortunate enslaved. Those who were without owners or between owners were placed into shelter-style homes. They were more of a fancy prison system meant to keep humans without owners off the street and out of trouble which worked. Mostly, a few humans occasionally broke through the system and escaped to run off into the woods, as it were; no one has heard from them again, though, if they have survived.
______
It was in one of these shelters that you currently resided in. You had once been a Broadway star before the robot uprising. In the first couple of years after robots took control, you had decent owners who enjoyed hearing you sing and perform. Then they would tire of you and send you on to someone else for some reason. It went on like that until a month ago when you had been working for a bot named Madame Ballora. Everything seemed to be going fine until you missed a step while performing for her. She was displeased and shocked you, not that you hadn't been shocked before. It was different this time as the shock bands weren't only around your wrists and ankles. She had put one around your neck. The pain was immense, and you passed out quickly.
Madame Ballora was quick to punish you anytime she thought you did anything wrong from that moment forward. The only problem is that the massive shocks to your neck damaged your vocal cords, preventing you from singing any longer. The moment she discovered this, she got rid of you. So here you sat, waiting for someone to pick the useless singer from the pile of humans in the pound.
____
Eclipse didnt want to be here, but Sun and Moon were distraught. The human they had as a pet had recently passed. Eclipse didn't want another human to take care of, but Sun and Moon were different. So here he was, being a good partner and finding them a new pet. However, it was proving fruitless as everyone here was either too old or too frail for his needs. "Isn't there anyone who is of the performing type around left?" He asked, crossing his four arms and looking at the Owl bot standing before him. "We have one left; however, after they were dropped into our care by Madame Ballora, come this way and see for yourself." Owlbus said, adjusting his monocle and walking towards your room to show you to Eclipse.
You sat quitely, looking out the window of the room you had been given. The shock bands had remained around your wrists and ankles, the one on your neck replaced with bandages. "Here she is, the Former Broadway star; however, she cannot sing for you or your partners anymore due to Madame Ballora's cruelty. But maybe you can find a use for her anyway." Olwbus said to Eclipse as he opened the door to your room and motioned for the Celestial-themed animatronic to see you. You stood from the chair and curtsied the best you could. You were still healing; you had only been here for a week at best, and anyone who looked at you walked out. You waited for the tall four-armed part sunshine and moon animatronic to do the same as all the others before. "Hmm, they won't care about the singing much. I'll take her; she will be useful to my partners." Eclipse said, handing over the credits needed as he and Owlbus left the room to file the necessary documents.
You had been stunned and still were as you rode in silence toward your new home; your new owner Eclipse not giving you any idea of what your new life would be like, just that his partners would find you valuable.
