Chapter 1: Fox Hunting

Chapter Text

Ivy was lucky that she looked like her late mother, her emerald green eyes were like poison, her strawberry blonde hair long pixie cuts, she had a pure beauty, it was normal that Grave liked her at first sight.

  • Ivy moved to Graves' house in Cleveland to follow the steps of the Shadow Company.

Phillip Graves returned home after the mission, Ivy ran to him when she heard that her boyfriend had arrived.

"Welcome, babe!"

Ivy jumps into Graves' lap and hugs him big, wrapping her legs around his waist.

"My sexy nurse missed me."

Ivy and Graves kiss. "I made you dinner."

Graves winks. "Can I eat you first?"

Ivy grinned. "But... I tried so hard to cook, my love."

Graves didn't break his girlfriend. "Okay, my beautiful darling, you've put a lot of effort into cooking, and I don't want to offend you."

Ivy landed on Phillip's lap and ran into the kitchen. "I'm sure you might like it!"

Graves followed Ivy into the kitchen. "I can't afford not to like what you're doing, little darling."

Ivy suddenly paused, had Phillip Graves fallen in love with her? Every day the guy was becoming more romantic.

"What's wrong?"

Ivy, trying to move quickly, touched her hand to the hot pot, painfully grabbed her hand, Graves immediately pulled ice out of the freezer, ran to Ivy.

"It's okay, baby, It's okay."

Graves was putting the ice in Ivy's hand. "I'm getting the bepanthol out of the drawer, honey."

Ivy leaned back against the counter and sighed, thinking about what Soap said the other day.

"Are you sure you're not really in love with a traitor?"

Ivy immediately objected, saying she did everything she could to make Graves not suspect, and that she acted professionally.

"Baby, you don't look well, what's wrong?"

Ivy pulled herself together immediately and smiled at Graves. "I'm just angry at my clumsiness."

Graves took Ivy's burning hand in his, kissed it, and then applied the bepanthol politely. Ivy put the food on the plate, Graves helped her, and then they went to the table.

"You know what I think sometimes? How nice it would be if we had babies."

Ivy didn't hide her surprise and looked at Graves.

"I know we've been together for two months, I may have been in a hurry, the first day I saw you, you became a direction for me to make important decisions in my life..."

Ivy clasped her hands and began to think about what had happened in the last month.

Three months ago, Boston

"Dad, I'm ready!"

Ivy was wearing white scrubs, checking into the hospital, pretending to be the nurse who was taking care of Graves, and he was going to kill her without attracting attention.

"Nurse Price, you can take care of me, too."

Ivy laughed at Soap. "You don't want that, Johnny, I'm going to use my mum's maiden name to avoid being deciphered…"

Price was filled with sadness when he remembered his wife, after losing her, he devoted himself to his daughter and the military.

"Now I'm going to the hospital, there's no need to waste time."

Ivy, very confident, walked quickly into the hospital, found out from the patient records which room Graves was in, and took a file and went to the room. Ivy looked at the sleeping Graves with hatred, decided to strangle him, approached and was just about to take the pillow, and when the door opened, she pretended to straighten the pillow.

"How's the patient doing, nurse?"

When Ivy turned around and saw Shepherd, she tried to act normal. "His condition is good, he can recover in a short time, don't worry, sir."

Graves began to open his eyes, blurred vision, tried to see the woman next to him, Ivy looked at Graves, who woke up with a stern expression.

Shepherd approached Graves. "Thanks, nurse."

Ivy tried to smile and, looking at Graves again, took the reports and left the room, opened the door a little to listen to their conversation.

"You're very lucky to be alive, Price and his overrated team won't let you go, I'll try to take care of this, I'll hire a private nurse for you."

Ivy was a military nurse in the British Army for a while, so she can volunteer at the hospital.

Ivy started pretending to be interested in the files.

"Are you only interested in the important commander Phillip Graves? I wanna hire you, Nurse Carter."

Ivy looked at Shepherd after thinking for a while.

"I wanna do this voluntarily, sir, soldiers are always a priority for me."

Shepherd smiled at Ivy. "I appreciate you, nurse."

Ivy agreed to work with Shepherd, she was going to tell her father about the change of plans, she quickly got out of the hospital, got into the team's van.

"Did you take care of?"

Ivy sat down and crossed her legs. "A much better opportunity came to us, and just as we were about to kill Graves, Shepherd came, fortunately, I didn't get caught."

Price and the team were listening to Ivy curiously.

"Shepherd offered me a job to take care of Graves privately, and I accepted, so we can find out the goals of the Shadow Company and Shepherd."

Nikolai applauded. "Genius girl!"

Price was smiling proudly at his daughter. "We've started to take quick steps thanks to you, daughter."

Ivy smiled at her father, and after making a plan, she got out of the van and went back to the hospital.

Ivy went up to Graves and when she entered the room, the saboteur was looking at her.

"Miss Carter."

Ivy didn't break her stern expression and took out the syringe and roughly applied it to Graves.

"You're a tough girl, huh?"

Ivy looked at Graves after she threw the syringe away. "Sure."

Graves laughed lightly. "We'll see it."

Ivy took some notes after she gave Graves a medical exam. "Congrats, you're recovering fast."

Graves is always cocky. "Honey, I'm a soldier, nothing will happen to me."

Ivy left the room after rolling her eyes at Graves.

A week later, Graves is discharged from the hospital.

"You finally got rid of me, Mr. Graves. I wish you healthy days."

Ivy shakes Graves' hand and then goes and looks at Graves from behind.

"I wanna know everything about the nurse girl, you'll give it to me as a report!"

Phillip Graves gave urgent orders to his men and learned from the records the location of Ivy's house.

Ivy, of course, was ready for any eventuality, she knew that Graves would find the address and come, so she sat down on the sofa and began to drink wine with great pleasure.

Three hours later, Graves arrived at the apartment building where Ivy lived and rang the bell. Ivy, realizing that Graves had arrived, went to look at the door with a devilish smile.

"Who's that?"

Graves smiled. "Graves!"

Ivy opened the door, Graves began to examine her from head to toe, she was wearing black shorts and a black Pink Floyd t-shirt the most interesting part was the snake tattoo that wrapped Ivy's ankle.

"Welcome."

Graves went inside. "I was going to buy you roses, but I preferred the cactus 'cause you're a tough girl."

Ivy started laughing, it was the first time Graves had seen her laugh. "Wow, I'm surprised you can laugh."

Ivy took the cactus from Graves' hand and put it on the coffee table. "No one made me laugh."

Graves squinted at Ivy. "Hmm, then I need to make the nurse laugh more often."

Ivy looked in the mirror and straightened her bangs.

"Your hairstyle is great."

Ivy smiled Graves. "Thanks, I cut my hair myself."

Graves was impressed. "You're a very talented girl."

Ivy played with Graves' hair. "If you want, I can cut your hair too, they've grown quite messy."

Graves smiled. "Yes, please."

Ivy took scissors, combs and towels from the bathroom. "Sit on the chair."

Graves sat in the chair and Ivy wrapped the towel around him.

"Let's move on!"

Ivy was cutting Graves' hair, and he was watching Ivy in the mirror from reflection. "You're pretty good at this, so I'll come to you for a haircut, Ivy."

Ivy smiled. "Of course."

Graves feels good. "I can tell by your accent that you're British."

Ivy laughed. "Yes, I'm British, don't you like the British?"

Graves swallowed his laugh to keep still. "I didn't like it a few months ago, but I can say that it changed when I met you, you're attractive."

When Ivy thought that Graves was trying to kill her close friends Soap and Ghost, she wanted to stick the scissors down his throat, but it wasn't the time.

"Don't be prejudiced, Phil."

Graves twisted his lip. "You're right."

Ivy finished the cut after sweeping Graves' hair with a comb. "That's it done!"

Ivy took the towel from Graves and put it in the bathroom, and when she went back to the living room, Graves started kissing Ivy.

Ivy pulls herself back and slaps Graves.

"I'm sorry, Ivy, I couldn't control myself…"

Ivy's eyes filled with anger, and not knowing what to do, she ran out barefoot, followed by Graves.

"Ivy, wait!"

Graves finally caught Ivy. "Look, I like you, okay?"

Ivy's eyes filled with tears from anger, and at last she went into the house and washed her feet, Graves began to think that he had acted prematurely for the kiss.

Ivy finally calmed down. "You gave me my first kiss…"

Graves tried to be understanding. "I'd better go, and you'll calm down."

Graves is out, feeling angry with himself. Ivy can hardly keep from going crazy, he kissed... he kissed.

Ivy looked when there was a knock on the door and Soap, Ghost and Gaz had arrived.

"Let's have a little party!"

Ivy is glad the team came. "Where's my dad?"

Gaz left his revolver on the table. "He went to meet with Laswell."

Soap saw the cactus. "Beautiful cactus."

Ivy laughed. "Graves chose a cactus over a rose 'cause I'm a tough girl."

Soap frowned. "Ugly cactus."

Ghost and Gaz started laughing.

"Actually, it's a good thing we're gonna do it completely, Graves' heart will break, and I'll have killed him again."

While Soap was drinking whiskey, he dreamed of killing Graves as soon as possible.

"I'm gonna take care of him, Johnny, 'cause you failed."

Soap looked angrily at Ivy. "You're motivated, thanks Poison Ivy!"

Ivy laughed at Soap and tapped him lightly on the shoulder. "Being a teammate requires that!"

Ivy wasn't drinking, she was accompanying her friends by drinking tea.

"Annoying Brit."

Ivy squinted her eyes after sipping the tea. "You're Brit, too."

After dark, the team sneaked out of the house and went to the van. Soon after, Ivy is shocked to see Graves outside when she looks through the window and hoped that he could not see the team.

Ivy ran outside wearing a cardigan. "What are you doing here?"

Graves looked upset. "I wanted to see you before I leave, I've a flight to Ohio tomorrow morning, I live there."

Ivy crossed her arms. "Well, you got what you wanted, I wish you a good flight."

When Ivy was about to go house, Graves grabbed her arm. "It's not easy for me…"

Ivy was staring blankly at Graves.

"I don't want us to have a bad moment."

Ivy softens a little. "Alright, anyway, I'm running out of time in Boston, so I'm going to go."

Graves immediately wonders. "Where'll you go?"

Ivy smiled. "I'm going back to England after spending New Year's Eve in Michigan with my friends."

Graves' opportunity was limited, he had to hurry to spend time with Ivy.

Phillip had read Ivy's file, he wasn't asking about her family, he knew that her mum died when she was a child and her father abandoned her.

"You'd better get inside before you get cold, Ivy."

Ivy quite chill. "I'm a winter person, so I'm not cold."

Graves smiled. "I'm sure you'll like Cleveland, and I'd definitely like you to come before you go."

Ivy thought for a while. "Actually, I can get there before I go to Michigan."

Graves' eyes sparkled with happiness and he smiled big. "Wonderful! I'll show you around the city and you can stay at my house."

Ivy clenched her teeth not to laugh Graves was really opportunistic, he always offers an alternative.

"Alright, then I'll be in Cleveland in two days."

Ivy and Graves shake hands. "You've made me so happy, thank you, Ivy."

Ivy smiled and walked house, Graves watched her.

Task Force 141's spy Ivy is already packing up her things, and it would be great to infiltrate Graves' house.

Price is very confident in his daughter, he is sure that she will cope with the task. Ivy went to her father before leaving for Ohio.

"Is everything okay, sweetie?"

Ivy smiled at her father. "Yes, dad."

Price was in good spirits and lit a cigar.

"You couldn't let go of that terrible smelling thing…"

Price laughed. "Delightful."

Laswell came and sat down next to Ivy and Price. "Oh, beautiful Ivy! How good to see you."

Ivy hugged Laswell. "The same goes for you, Kate."

Soap and Ghost were waiting for the new sergeant Gary 'Roach' Sanderson…

Roach timidly walked over to Ghost and Soap.

"Sgt. Sanderson?"

Roach nodded. "Yes, sir."

Roach started following Ghost and Soap, and they came to Captain Price. Ivy stood up when she saw the new sergeant, smiled and held out her hand to shake hands.

"Welcome to our team, Sergeant. I'm Ivy Price."

Roach shook Ivy's hand. "Nice to meet you, ma'am."

Ivy said goodnight to everyone, went to her bedroom, lay down on the bed, looked at her phone before going to sleep, and Graves texted her.

"I can't sleep with excitement while I'm waiting for you for the weekend."

Ivy smiled as she read the message.

"Don't torture yourself, you should sleep, when I come, I don't wanna trip with a guy with low energy! :)"

Graves immediately looked at his phone when the notification came and laughed at Ivy's message.

"Roger, beautiful lady! I'll obey your order, I wish you a nice night like you."

Ivy covered her mouth with her hand so that the sound of laughing would not be heard, she was quite cheerful.

" Thanks! You're making a gentlemanly impression, good night.

Keep on, soldier!"

Graves tried to sleep with a big smile. Ivy was lying on her side, rolling over and over, giggling, trying to sleep.

Weekend

For two days Ivy was happy that the team was interested in the task and finally went to the airport.

"I'm comingg!"

Ivy took a photo of the plane and sent it to Graves.

"My excitement has increased even more! I'll be waiting for you :)"

Ivy frowned, she shouldn't have taken the game seriously.

Two hours later.

Ivy picked up her purse and headed for the exit, and Graves greeted her and they shook hands.

"Welcome, beauty!"

Graves tried to help Ivy carry her bag.

"Please, Phil, I'll carry it, I'm not weak."

Graves smiled. "Okay, rough girl."

Ivy and Graves got out of the airport, Graves pointed to the car, and the two got in the car. Ivy was watching around, the ride was quiet, and Graves was looking at her out of the corner of his eye.

"Thanks for inviting me to a very beautiful city."

Graves was quite delighted. "I'm so glad you came, Ivy."

Ivy secretly turned off her phone completely, her dad and the team could've from calls and messages, she'd not take kinda risk.

They finally got to the neighborhood, it looked nice, Graves parked the car, took Ivy's bag.

"I'm not going to accept your objection this time, Nurse Carter."

Ivy smiled. "Oh, well."

When Graves opened the door, Ivy stuck her head in curiously. "Nice house."

Graves put the bag down and came over to Ivy. "Welcome, my precious guest."

Graves was looking as if he was going to kiss Ivy.

"If you're not tired, shall we go for a walk?"

Graves corrected himself. "Of course."

Ivy felt she was being forced to access the information as soon as possible, she came to the most difficult stages, after which she had to be careful.
