“I’m the boogeyman, ooga booga.” Kim taunted with a twinge of playfulness.
“Yeah okay and I’m the boogie woogie man.” Chay rolled his eyes in annoyance as he watched Kim come out from under his bed.
“Will you ever be scared of me?” Kim retaliated matching the annoyed tone.
Chay looked at Kim and busted out of laughing. Sure Kim’s a monster but he also has long beautiful hair and a soothing voice—granted he only uses it to try to scare Chay—the boy finds it quite endearing.
“Sure, when you come up with some better material.” Chay snorted laughing even harder.
Kim let out a huff of exhaustion, slowly beginning the retreat under Chay’s bed.
“Oh don’t pout mr. boogeyman, you’ll get me next time.” Chay smiled sarcastically, being unable to resist his teasing ways.
Kim grumbled in his monster voice but nevertheless let Chay continuously tease him, naturally he would try to say he didn’t know why he let him do it, but anyone with half a brain (or mutation) could tell it was because he was smitten with the boy he’s failed to scare since said boy was 10.
“I hate you.” Kim almost whined.
“That sounds like a you problem my fluffy monster.” Chay’s voice dropped with sarcasm and evilness.
“Do you realize that if I can scare you, you can get rid of me?” Kim tried but it fell flat when Chay gave him an unimpressed look.
“Sorry mr. ooga booga, you chose my bed to hide under, this is your issue and yours alone.” Chay shrugged, turning off his desk lamp and crawling into bed.
Kim rolled his eyes and seemingly accepted his fate, slithering down and into the makeshift bed Chay created for him a good amount of time ago.
“Hey, mr. ooga, for what it’s worth, I’m kinda glad you chose my bed.” Chay giggled.
Kim tried his hardest, but unfortunately couldn’t fight back the smile.
“Same here, my angel.” Kim whispered.
Chay smiled softly and slowly drifted off, excited to see what would happen next.
