I’ve Been to the Year 3000

Summary:

AU where kinks are a normal and accepted part of life. Every summer, all 18 year olds (and 17 year olds who will be 18 by Sept 1) go to a 2-month kink training program starting on July 1. The program is structured by weeks with the first week being a general overview, weeks 2-7 dedicated to individual role types, and week 8 ending with testing and transitioning to each person’s kink type.

Chapter 1: Introduction to the AU

Chapter Text

In this AU, there are 3 main designations - Top, Switch, and Bottom. There are also role-types for Tops and Bottoms, which apply to Switches as well. The role-type pairings are

1) Owner - Pet
2) Master/Mistress - Slave
3) Sir/Ma’am - Servant
4) Daddy/Mommy/Caregiver - Little
5) Alpha - Beta - Omega
6) Dom(me) - Sub

Everyone is at least one role-type, but some people are multiple. In addition to the role-types, there are also qualities that apply to each designation. The qualities are

Tops - soft, strict, severe
Bottoms - brat, prince(ss), angel
Switches - any of the above

Every person’s kink type incorporates all 3 categories - designation, role type, and quality. Examples of kink types are bratty slave Bottom, soft alpha Top, prince little / strict daddy Switch.

Freshly graduated high school seniors gather at their local training centers to be introduced to the world of kink. They start on July 1 and live at the training centers for 8 weeks to learn about all types of kinks and lifestyles. Trainees are placed in dormitories of 8-10 people based on their last name, alphabetically. Trainees are not separated by kink types as they will not be assigned them until the end of the training program. Some trainees come into the program thinking they already know what kink type they are, but during the program they will get to learn about and experience all kinks and at the end be tested to know their true types. The training program is run by adult Switches of varying role-types and qualities. These program facilitators act as teachers and chaperones, as well as role play participants during each of their kinks’ assigned week. The training program is structured as follows:

Week 1: Kink Types Overview

Day 1 - Overview of designation types, role-types, and qualities
Day 2 - Consent, Safety, Hygiene
Day 3 - Monogamous vs Polyamorous & Open vs Exclusive
Day 4 - Psychology of kinks and lifestyles
Day 5 - Matching trials

Weeks 2-7: Individual Role-Type Immersion

Day 1 - Individual Role-Type Overview (expectations, daily life, psychoanalysis, monogamous vs polyamorous, open vs exclusive, consent safety hygiene)
Day 2 - Role Play with Trainees as Tops, Facility Workers as Bottoms
Day 3 - Role Play with Trainees as Bottoms, Facility Workers as Tops
Day 4 - Role Play with Trainees and Facility Workers switching
Day 5 - Review (likes/dislikes, hard/soft limits, desires, what to look for in matches)

Week 8: Testing & Transitioning

Day 1 - Kink Testing & Analysis
Days 2-5 - Transition to kink type

After the training program is complete, Bottoms are transferred to Bottom Care Facilities (BCFs). Each BCF has its own role-type and some are dedicated to Bottoms with multiple role-types. The BCFs are run by adult Switches of the same role-type and they care for their Bottoms’ kink needs while also preparing them for matching trials. Newly-assigned Switches and Tops leave the kink training program and continue on to college, trade school, or the work force. Once they are stable in their careers, they can partake in matching trials.

Matching trials are hosted by BCFs. Tops and Switches of a particular role-type attend matching trials at a BCF with the same role type. The trials last several weeks and involve meet & greets, courting with BCF chaperones, courting without BCF chaperones, and finally, if all goes well, contract signing.
