11PM quickly becomes 1AM, and dream's sight blurs momentarily when another shot glass hits the table. Pretty cherry lips twist into a scowl as the substance burns its way down the blonde's throat.
Bittersweet to the tongue. It holds the taste of bad decisions and regrets, quickly becoming tomorrow's problem.
Deciding against another shot. Dream finally, since arriving at the party takes his time dragging his eyes over the room. Immediately being drawn to the unfamiliar faces on the dance floor. shoulder to shoulder as their bodys move to the music. All painted in red from the never stopping beams of red lights.
Oh and of course you can't forget the, at least a dozen couples totally uncaring as they shove their tongues down each other's throats.
Hoisting his weight on top of the kitchen counter, this gave dream a much better view of the living room, currently packed with all the sweaty bodies and the smoke over top of them that has made its way through the sinfully colored red flashing lights.
"Dream their you are, fuck u scared me." Sapnap exclaimed as he to, jumped up on the countertop. Dream chuckled.
"Well you shouldn't have ran off."
"Yeah well someone decided not to follow me when, guess what? I said, ''Follow me." The blonde's eyes rolled, shoving the other playfully as Sapnap continued laughing.
"Hmmm still sounds like your fault."
"Yeah ok- how so dreawmie?" Sapnap asked, grabbing the shot glass and vodka dream was previously using.
"Its kinda obvious." Smirking, the blonde searched his pockets. Moments later pulling out a box of cigarettes along with a fluorescent colored lighter.
"Dude take it outside your gonna stink up the kitchen." Sapnap explained as the blonde still uncaringly lit the cigarette hanging from his lips.
Pulling the cigarette out, he inhaled once more as satisfaction spread throughout the blonde. Finally giving his body what it's been craving. Loving the feeling as smoke invaded his lungs.
"Can you fucking not smell or some shit? This whole place already reeks of weed." He laughed rolling his eyes.
Sapnaps eyes also rolled while fake annoyance spreads over his futures.
"Whatever, let's go outside dipshit."

"DUDE YOU CAN NOT TELL ME YOU DON'T REMEMBER THAT?." sapnap yells, softly shaking his head in disbelief.
"St-.... stop im actually dying." The blonde let out between a mixture of wheezes and laughter.
"no no no- you actually don't remember that??" The other breathed also joining in on the laughter.
"I dont even know what your talking about." Dream exclaimed, Terry eyed as his laughter calms down slightly.
Before sapnap had the chance to respond the loud squeak of the sliding door caught both boys attention. Bads familiar face emerging from the door seeming to be quickly looking for someone.
"Oh! Their you are, we are playing games in the basement if you wanna join!"
The other chuckle fondly at the other.
"With who?" Sapnap speaks up first.
"Umm some guys from our team and Boomers team I think."
"Aight we'll be there in a bit, don't wait up though."
"Alrightly." With a little wave the other disappears. Sighing as he looks to dream.
"What's up with you?"
"Nothin what's up with you." The other jokes, eyes widening Comically.
"..... is it cause punz is gonna be there?" Sapnap questioned, looking the same way as the blonde.
Straight to the point as always dream thinks.
both now staring at pure blackness as a starless sky lays above them only the drunken moon. lighting up trees and houses in the distance Illuminating them with a soft glow.
Dream swallowed looking away from the sight still not answering the other.
"What's even up with you two? I have never even seen y'all even talk to each other." The other huffed.
"Its a stupid and long story." Hearing the even more off tone sapnaps eyes snapped to the other, finding him still staring into the darkness. Fidgeting with his rings color matching the blackened sky.
"I said don't wait up, so we've got time."
The blonde again only responded with silence, as he inhaled more smoke from his momentarily forgotten cigarette.
"Dude common, how bad is it?"
"Its not- it's not that bad one would say it's just... stupid or I guess embarrassing- acually it's kinda both. Maybe it's a little bit bad I guess but it's fine."
Sapnap raises an eyebrow still waiting for an explanation. Dream sighs, taking one more hit before dropping the cigarette, smashing the remains with his foot.
"Fine you really are a stubborn bastard sometimes sap-" the blonde huffed out a laugh, while the other made an offended noise glaring at the taller.
"We used to be childhood friends I guess if you could call it that. Our dads were business partners and close friends so he was always over at my house, anyway basically he and his old friends said some hurtful shit that I dont wanna talk about ok? Happy, can we pls talk about something else?"
Sapnap frowns.
"Do you want me to punch him for you?"
The blonde chuckled sadly "i already did but warning his daddy could easily get him off Scot free- you wanna get charged for assault sap?"
"No no I guess not....... You wanna stay out here for a little before we go play games?"
"Yeah..." the blonde sighs in relief. Suddenly walking past Sapnap to lay on the grass. Again met with the familiar night sky.
Shortly after another body lays down next to him.
"Thanks pandas by the way." Dream whispers eyes still trained on the pit of nothingness.
"Of course dreamie." Sapnap whispers as well leaving a little smile on both their faces.
There's something about the darkness dream thinks, something so feared yet absolutely beautiful.
Eyes staring up into nothingness, intoxicated stars behind sheets of darkness.
hiding the beautiful splatters of light from curious eyes.
Dream stares at the sky,
And the sky stares back,
And suddenly minutes go by, and legs are numb and both boys start shivering.
Is he ready to go back?
The timing almost comedic the other spoke up, voice scratchy from lack of use.
"Dream I'm cold." The other whined, flipping himself over so he was half over the blonde. Chin now digging into dreams chest. The blonde chuckles. "I know, I know, me too. let's go inside."

"Wow look who finally showed up?" Bommer teased, sipping his drink.
Sapnap laughs, dropping down next to him, while Dream continues standing.
Scanning the room of familiar faces. Praying the other blonde has left.
Although the universe never liked dream all to well.
Relatively quickly green eyes catch bright blue ones that finding them already intensely staring back at him.
He huffs quietly.
The moon is drunk,
And the stars are intoxicated,
With the sins of the sun,
And the sadness of the sky,
Shifts, blurs from the earth,
And you stare,
And wonder why the universe, never loved you back.
