Two pieces of dynamite, on top of that, a cyan-haired boy. Tired of life, tired of following rules, tired of the universe’s orders.

Two seconds of time, for the hooded girl to look at her soulbound. Everything about him, from his dirty clothes to his messy hair, she saw. And in those two seconds, she took in every little detail.

Two weeks, for the boy to have the confidence to reach out to the girl. With an apology recited thousands of times in front of a mirror, a phone call was made.

Two months, before the two saw each other in person. Regrets were shared, hugs were exchanged, a friendship was reformed.

Two hearts, heartbeats in sync. The string was cut, the bond was severed. It left both hearts beating erratically.
