If you are reading this, we are long gone.
If what I believe has happened then this is many years in the future after our bones have finally faded into the ground.
Or maybe someone is going through every protocol and file to figure out some secret plan that we never had. If it’s the latter I have nothing. For once, no plan, no idea, nothing. I have our history and technology, may it be enough to help you.
The world saw us as heroes, champions and protectors with our home put first and the rest of the unknown expanse of space second. My name is Bruce Wayne. For those who didn’t read the tabloids or any popular news source, I was Batman.
If this was released with the original intent. I am dead, as well as every founding member of the Justice League. It was our wish that after our deaths, some or most of our belongings that held significant value to our secret lives be placed in a museum.
To inspire and to bring hope to the future generations. I can almost guarantee though, that each and every one of them make us feel unreal and less human than we all were.
The genuine ship that a baby Superman arrived in, the golden tiara of Wonder Woman, the police badge of Manhunter, and the mask of Green Lantern. None of those show off our humanity. It is my hope that these logs fix that.
These logs were secretly saved without most of the individual's knowledge. They were approved by them to be donated much later in the future.
Most, if not all, are not flattering or they show off a side of us the world never saw. They show the trials and hardships of actually being a member of the League. Wonder Woman wasn’t only the unbreakable strong woman the world knew. She was Diana of Themyscira and besides that, she missed her home and her family. Flash was the fastest man alive and Barry resented every second of it. John was the last of his entire race after he watched his family taken from him. I tried to fill a hole in my soul by trying to save others from experiencing the same thing as I did.
I hope these logs do something our words never could. I hope they help the world see us as more than idols or a history page.
For whoever is reading these logs and this message, I hope whatever we left behind is a strong foundation for you to live happily. I hope there is no more need for superheroes and these logs are a reflection of a darker time before the light shined through.
