The Straw Hats reunite at Saboady after 2 years of being separated by one of the warlords, Kuma. It was rough for the Straw Hats, they came in order to have a good time but that interrupted with many of the worst generation being there, the bastards in celestial dragons and leading to one of them getting punched extremely hard by Luffy. It got so bad that the admiral Kizaru came and decimated all that came his way, with the light light fruit and it being logia, no one stood a chance but Rayleigh who was the right hand man to the Pirate King. It all ended horribly for everyone involved.
Now they're back on the Thousand Sunny after two years apart, they happy to see each other again. "I'm really happy to see you guys again." Luffy said with his signature smile as everyone agreed with their captain.
"I still can't believe it's been two years since that day." Usopp said, as Chopper chimed in as he couldn't believe it as well. "it Superrrrr, that we're all back safe and sound, we gone through changes as well." Franky said looking at everyone.
Luffy was in awe by Frank's new body, Zoro was impressed by how in shape Usopp looked, Luffy has grown as well but he looks the same in a sense but with huge scar on his chest which he got from Akainu at marineford.
Sanji went to Robin and Nami, Nami saw him coming and rolled her eyes as she knew what was coming and she was ready to brush him off when, "well it's seem two years have done wonders to you both, it's amazing how much you've changed." Sanji said smiling with cigarette in his mouth and hands in his pockets.
Nami was shocked because there was no mellorine nor the exaggerated compliments and looked at Robin to see if she noticed it but, " it truly does cook-san, you've gotten more handsome, taller and the facial hair really looks great on you maybe the ladies will start running after you." Robin said smiling as Sanji thanked her for the compliment as he went to her, took her hand and bowed to kiss it.
While all this is happening, Nami's brain wasn't processing all what's going but something about this made her annoyed. Why wasnt Sanji paying attention to her, that calm act and why did his attitude change, what changed in 2 years etc etc was all she was thinking about. Robin and Sanji continued their chat and Nami felt left out.
Luffy came up to tell them that it's time to go, after he said his final goodbyes to Rayleigh when Nami glared at him menacingly making him back away. She apologized and agreed its time to leave. As they set sail they were attacked by marine ships.
They got frustrated that marines were blocking them when Boa Hancock's ship came to give an opening to leave. Robin recognized her as one the warlords and leader of the Kuja, "what are the Kuja?" Nami asked, "they're a band of females led by the mighty empress Boa Hancock, a warlord." Robin explained as Nami was shocked she was an actual warlord.
Usopp, Sanji and Brook took a look at her, Nami noticed this and got annoyed for some reason at Sanji looking at the warlord empress. Usopp and Brook were stunned at how beautiful she was while Sanji was still acting "normal", he just casually said she's really beautiful as he heard as Usopp turned to him and asked if he's okay which Sanji replied what that's supposed to mean.
"well knowing you, you would've been turned to stone by her beauty." Usopp said still confused at Sanji's behavior. "I heard she was beautiful and now I found out for my self, that's all." Sanji said and Nami was listening to all of this and she grew more agitated and she didn't know why she was getting upset at Sanji looking at and complimenting another woman who isn't her.
" oh it's Hancock. "Luffy said surprising everyone as to how he knows her. " I landed on her island full of women when I met her, I didn't like her at first because of how cruel she was to those that support her but after getting to know her we became friends. "Luffy explained putting his hands in the air waving at her and she waved back just as enthusiastically.
" yall seem really close. "said Nami, " well yeah without her, I would've been dead a long time ago and she went to great lengths to help me save Ace. " Luffy paused as he said Ace's name which made everyone kinda sad because they know what Ace meant to Luffy. " but Hancock was one the main ones that helped me to become stronger and when I needed someone she was always there for me...... I made a promise to her that I'll come back for her and when I become Pirate King, I want her to be my queen." Luffy said smiling.
Everyone including Robin were silent to what they just heard," s-so what did you and Hancock do during those 2 years? " Brook asked, " well she helped with my training the best she could, we kissed, talked about each other's past, discovered what we like in people and each other and she taught about and had se-" but before Luffy finished his mouth was covered by Usopp." okay big guy we get it......" Usopp said stil stunned along with everyone.
" well I'm happy for you captain, once you're happy and good with that I see no problem. " Robin said smiling as Luffy smiled thanking her. Every one separated going into to groups to continue their conversations, "(I can't believe it, even Luffy out of people is doing stuff like that with a woman.) "Nami thought as she then turned her attention to Sanji. She didn't notice how long she was staring at him, but the color in her cheeks started to show when Robin took out of her thoughts.
" you know if you keep staring like that, he's gonna notice. "Robin said with an amused smile," what are you talking about, I'm not staring at anybody. "Nami replied turning her head as for Robin not to see that she's blushing." I can't believe Luffy got a warlord of the sea as his girlfriend..... He made it so easy to say that she's the one he wants to be with. "Nami said turning her attention back to Sanji as Robin replied," me either but I'm happy for him and at least she can bring out sides of him he doesn't normally show. " Robin said with her book in hand.
Chopper came over as Robin handed him some. candy," what're you reading Robin." asked Chopper as Robin said it was one of her history novels and Chopper asked if she has a doctor's novel." I think so, but let's go to the library to make sure....... Don't make it obvious too much Miss Navigator." Robin said walking to the library with chopper. Nami blushed and ignored her.
The day went by, still Nami made no progress to talk to Sanji neither did he. But he did bring her drinks when she was working in her office but other than that not even during that he made an effort to talk to her and started to feel sad. She wondered if Sanji doesn't see her that way anymore.
"hey Luffy, can I ask you soemthing." Sanji asked causing Luffy to turn around from his conversation with Zoro. "ero Cook we're on the middle of something here." Zoro said but Sanji ignored him. "hey Luffy what made you want to be with Boa Hancock?" he asked confusing Luffy but answered, "she knew me better than I know myself." Luffy said shrugging, which made Sanji slump his shoulders down. "is this about Nami." Zoro and Luffy both said making Sanji stand upright and surprised that they figured it out.
"but h-how did you-" Sanji started to say but Zoro interrupted saying, "it was obvious, you two hardly talked to each other today and it's seems Nami was sad about something you said." Zoro explained bringing a panic in Sanji as to what could he have said to make his Nami-san sad and Luffy agreed with Zoro.
In the girls room, Nami was finished with her notes for the day as she put her book down on the table with a sigh," what's wrong? "Robin asked while reading her book opposite Nami in the chair." ummm nothing..... Don't worry about it. "Nami said nervously." we've friend s for quite a while Miss Navigator and we've talked to each other about "stuff" when we're away from the boys now, what wrong? " Robin asked again and Nami knew she couldn't lie to her," it's Sanji-kun...... He's being acting strange all day and I don't like it. He's not acting like my Sanji-kun but someone else...... This sounds so selfish but I feel he doesnt see me the way he used to and it bothers me. With over the top gestures and compliments, the attention and more." Nami finished explaining, Robin knew that there was more to it but left for another time.
Robin took out her den den mushi confusing Nami as it rang and someone picked up, a hello could be heard on the other side, " Sanji could bring two tangerine flavored wines please?" Robin asked looking straight at Nami smiling which made Nami blush and whispered what is she doing but Robin became more amused. "alright Robin-chan, it'll be ready in 15 minutes, let me finish cleaning up the kitchen and I'll bring them." Sanji said as he hung up.
Robin put down the den den mushi and Nami asked whats she doing, "you have less than 15 minutes to get your words together Nami, your prince is coming." Robin closing her book and getting up from her seat. "where are you going?..... What am I gonna say when he gets here...that you don't want the drink anymore." Nami said as Robin countered, "I'm going to meet Zoro for our get together and you tell Sanji how you feel." she said smiling, leaving the room.
Nami was irritated and got up to prepare herself......... 15 minutes went by quickly as Nami had everything she wanted to say nailed down and clocked that Robin said she's going to meet Zoro, it hit her like a brick that Zoro and Robin are together but how and when she thought but a knock on the door eeeeked her. Nami panicked a bit as to fact that Sanji's here, she went to the door and took a breath before opening it.
She opened the door to a perplexed Sanji, "drinks for you and Robin m'lady." Sanji said nervously. "she's not here.... Come in Sanji-kun, we need to talk." Nami letting him in as he walked to the closest chair and placed the drinks on both sides. He pulled the chair for Nami to sit down as she thanked him then he sat.
They sat in silence for what seemed like forever," I have something to say. "they both said surprising each other and blushing but Sanji told her to go first. She nodded and she took a deep breath and began," Sanji-kun..... Ive been thinking for while now and I think it finally hit me what's been going on with me lately....... I like you Sanji-kun and not as friend but more than that......" she said struggling to make eye contact with him, those blue eyes are too much for her but he waited patiently as she continued," I been thinking about you all day, because you were acting strange towards me and it made me annoyed in a way that you were looking at other women that won't me but I thought it was nothing at first but now I know for sure....... I like, like you Sanji-kun and I hope you feel the same. " Nami finished.
Sanji was stunned, it's hitting him slowly but surely and he feels overwhelmed. This is something he dreamt about happening between them but for it to be happening now, it made him extremely happy to know she returned his feelings but he'll have to tell her the truth. "Nami-san you don't understand how happy I am right now I........ I'm so happy I can't speak right now......" Sanji said struggling for words as tears form in the corner of his eyes but blinked them away..
"Nami-san I feel the way, in fact I've always liked you since I met you at the Baratie..... That smile, that beautiful, funny and brave girl I remembered back then and now here she is in front of me....... But I think you deserve the truth of why acted that way towards you. "Sanji said taking a sip in the wine as did Nami who found it so delicious." 2 years ago, I was asking Robin of how I can get the girl of my dreams to notice me and she immediately knew it was you I was talking about...... She told me that 'if said girl notices a change in your every day life, it means she cares about you more than you know and that she'll notice the smallest changes in you before you'...... I didn't understand what she meant by that but slowly got it and we were separated I decided that I'll make a plan to get your attention....... I decided that maybe if you noticed a change then I know for sure you care about me and so that's why I shifted my demeanor. "Sanji explained as his head went down," I understand if you call me an idiot for all this but I wouldn't blame you. " he said leaning forward with his head down with his reflection in the drink.
" I deserve to be called an idiot as well because I wanted you to look at me and only but I couldn't change that about you but I don't want to because I know thats just how you are Sanji-kun.... I'm sorry." Nami said with her head down as well. " you're not an idiot Nami-san, youre the most beautiful, bravest, smartest, strongest and courageous woman I know and I'm not exaggerating......there are more words to describe what you are to me and yes I do like women but appreciate them for who they are..... But there's only one woman I love and adore and that's you Nami-san. "Sanji said taking her hand." so I ask you this Nami-san, will you become my girlfriend from this forward until the end of time?" Sanji asked as Nami looked at him with tears in her eyes, she lunged at Sanji kissing him with everything she had built up for over 2 years and this knocked him over the chair, throwing them both down to the floor.
He kissed back with everything he had as well, they kissed each other for what seems like hours but only several seconds. They pulled back reluctantly as they looked each other flushed from their kiss, "so you were jealous all this time..... Why didn't you say anything back then when we were alone?" Sanji asked her which caused a blush to rise in her cheeks which he smiled at his achievement. "well..... Well I was too shy to approach you back then so I kept it to myself and Robin did plan for us to meet at some point and now here were are." Nami explained as she sat up on Sanji.
He sat up as well which made her blush at how they were again, "well I'm glad we addressed it now, because now I dont to worry about failing anymore." he said smiling at her. She turned her head as being this close wasn't something she was used to, "that was my first kiss you know, so..... So you better be grateful." Nami said blushing looking away. Sanji cupped her chin making turn back to him, "that was mine as well and I'm grateful it was you who took it." he said kissing her again but slowly this time to enjoy every bit of it. A tear appeared in the corner of her eye as she kissed him, she pulled back and said the magic words he always wanted to hear her say making him tear up with a smile.
" is Robin-chan coming back or?......"Sanji asked," nope she said she's with Zoro in the crows nest for the night. "she replied. Sanji eyes widened as Nami told him she had the same reaction and that not even Robin told her before hand until a while ago." well I wouldn't mind my first boyfriend accompanying me tonight. " Nami said in a shy voice then she let out a gasp when she was off her feet in bridal style in Sanji's arms. "I'll gladly accompany you tonight m'lady." Sanji said giving her peck on the cheek making her feel giddy.
As they finished their wines, they layed down on the bed tired and sleeping soundly smiling knowing this day started rough but ended well for both of them.
