Work Text:
All Might stood across from All for One. The hero had his fists raised, knowing that at any moment the fiend would send a large attack at him. He could see it in the eyes of that monster.
He wouldn’t give his enemy the chance.
All Might ran forward, putting all of One for All into his fist as he made his way closer–only to freeze when a bright green light washed over the two of them.
Suddenly he felt himself floating, seeing All for One also floating and some kind of…panic in the villain’s eyes?
All Might looked up and literally gaped when he saw a flying saucer of all things pulling them up with its tractor beam.
He locked eyes with All for One and realized this was not one of his plans either.
When they were brought aboard, All Might looked around at metal walls and a window showing planet earth below. Was this an illusion, or was he truly in outer space? He blinked when he saw a prepubescent boy standing at the controls.
The child had green hair, four arms, slightly pointed ears, and gray skin with freckles shining like stars. As soon as he looked at them, his skin turned brilliantly pink all over. Glowing green eyes went wide with shock before he quickly pressed a button.
The four-armed boy cried, “Oh no. Not good. I just wanted to research one of those four-legged beings with adorable pointy ears, not the furless bipedal ones!”
All for One seemed to take offense to that remark as he rushed forward, only to be stopped by a shimmering bluish barrier.
It was then that All Might realized some kind of gas was filling the area, and he was getting very drowsy.
“Well, I guess I have no choice now. I have a class project to finish and I don’t want to deal with Kashn telling me he’s the best in our class again,” the boy said with a resigned sigh, turning and stepping out of the room.
That was the last thing All Might saw before he and All for One lost consciousness.
Oh, dear. He’d gotten the wrong subjects. Legally he was only allowed to grab the unintelligent furry ones. But no one was likely to notice (or care) if he bent the rules on this backwater planet. He needed this project to be a success, in order to convince his father of the merits of his research. His father had been mumbling about sending him to military school. He shuddered, his cheeks tinging blue. No matter what, he must make his science fair project a stunning success. Otherwise he would be shipped far away from his beloved ship and his alien merch collection.
As he looked over the notes he collected so far in regards to the two…subjects…he accidentally abducted, he got curious and decided to throw his own name into the translation program to see what it would be in their native tongue.
“Izuku? I actually like that one,” he mumbled to himself, giving a wide smile. His skin turned yellow-gold with pleasure. “I guess I can update the tests to better fit the bipedal specimens! Oh, I should make sure they can eat the food I got and–”
Izuku literally buzzed with excitement, his second set of arms reaching for more tablets as he ran to where the two were resting.
As he flipped through some videos, he noticed what appeared to be a bipedal one poking some sort of creature with some kind of prodding device.
“Perhaps this is how they greet others?” he asked, reaching for a metal rod. Pressing a button to extend it, he lightly poked the man with white hair first.
“Good day!”
All for One woke up to something poking him in the side.
Purely on reflex, he ripped the metal rod from the alien’s hand, then threw it.
The prod clipped the alien boy on the nose. He staggered backward. His skin turned blue as small tears formed in the corners of his eyes. (It seemed like the alien’s skin changed colors in response to his emotions–how interesting.) The boy cried, “Ow! What did you do that for? I only wanted to greet you.” He rubbed his nose, muttering, “My teachers warned me your kind was quite primitive…”
The green-haired, watery-eyed boy was actually kinda cute. Maybe because All for One liked making children cry.
All Might sat up. “I must warn you, child, the man you’ve kidnapped is a dangerous villain.”
“You seem more reasonable. At least you haven’t thrown anything at me yet.” The alien boy flitted over, all four hands flapping. “My name is Izuku, in your language. Will you answer some questions for my research project?”
“If you’ll return me back home afterward, then I’d be happy to help.” All Might flashed a broad, professional smile. His tone had changed into the voice he used when speaking to fans. Charming, confident, and so swarmy. It made All for One shudder in disgust.
“Thank you!” Izuku beamed. “Give me a moment to get my notebook.” He turned away, moving toward the shelves next to the control panel.
Of course a hero would go along with his captor like a tame dog. Villains didn’t act like pets. All for One summoned up his bone drill quirk, prepared to create an alien shish-ka-bob.
All Might leaned over and knocked his enemy’s hand down. He hissed, “If you kill him, do you know how to fly this ship back to Earth?”
All for One sneered. He whispered, “Obviously I merely planned to torture him until he returned me home.” And the blond idiot would be tossed out the airlock.
“I can’t let you do that! He’s clearly a child.”
This fool would defend his own captor. All for One had known all heroes were stupid, but this particular one deserved an award for it. “Get in my way, and I won’t hesitate to kill YOU.”
“I can hear you,” Izuku called. “Do you think I haven’t taken any precautions?”
All for One blinked, before putting back on his smug smile. “Oh? And what kind of precautions have you taken, Little One?”
The alien boy quietly pressed a button and suddenly the field surrounding both All Might and All for One lit up.
“This ship is designed to contain fifty supernovas going off at once in the event we wish to study one,” he explained. “While I can pass things through to you, neither of you can reach me. No matter what insane abilities you have.”
All for One blinked before deciding to test the theory himself by sending the bone drill right at the boy…
Only for it to be stopped by the field and a large jolt of electricity sent right into him.
If it wasn’t for the various resistance quirks he picked up he would have either screamed like a baby or straight up died.
What made this situation worse was All Might actually laughing at his misfortune. As if the hero wouldn’t do the same like some boneheaded brute with no–
Izuku smiled, his skin shifting to pale green. “Oh! Does your species have a resistance to electricity now? See, the data we have on your planet is about Four Earth Centuries out of date! Which is actually around four hundred thousand years by our standards!”
“Really? So how old would you be, my boy?” All Might asked.
“Oh! I’m not supposed to divulge information about myself, security risk…but it couldn’t hurt. By my standards I’m only ninety-five hundred years old, which translates to about nine and a half years for you.”
The child was much younger than All for One had assumed. He’d thought the boy’s species was merely short. Adults who left such a young child alone must not be very protective.
Maybe….he could use this?
While All for One pondered, the alien boy had turned his full attention to All Might, who lapped it up like a golden retriever. Izuku fired off questions about everything from human food to mating rituals, and All Might answered each one. The conversation turned to All Might’s career. Izuku seemed fascinated by the hero system, even if he struggled to understand endorsements. He got rankings right away–apparently aliens had those, too.
Taking rapid notes, Izuku said, “You’ve helped so many people! I’m impressed.”
All Might actually blushed. “I’m just doing my job.”
“A hero. Such a cool job.” Izuku sighed. “We don’t have anything like that on my planet. The weak are supposed to perish for the good of society. Perhaps we could learn a few things from other races, after all.”
“That’s so kind of you to say.”
“Do you think I could ever be a hero?”
All Might seemed to consider this seriously. “Just from what little I’ve seen of you, you’re fast on your feet and you think quickly. Your analytical ability would be invaluable to hero work. Of course, your technology would also be a huge help.”
Izuku bounced up and down. His skin turned golden with joy. “I’m so happy! I’d love to be as cool as you.”
“I’m flattered, really.” All Might’s hair tufts danced.
All for One rolled his eyes. Look at this idiot, acting as if the press didn’t praise him all the time. Now All Might even needed to spread his brand to outer space? Would nothing ever be enough to satisfy his giant ego?
Since it looked like the mutual admiration society might continue all day, All for One cut in. “Don’t you want to hear about my job?”
Brilliant green eyes turned on him. Izuku’s skin turned green, which All for One had come to recognize as meaning curiosity. “What do you do, aggressive one?”
All Might snorted. “He’s a villain.” Poison infused the word.
All for One said, “I have a thriving business redistributing money and quirks from people who don’t deserve them to people who do.” Namely, himself.
“He means he steals from people and murders them,” All Might hissed.
Izuku recoiled, the green on his face paling away. “That sounds terrible! Heroes are much cooler than villains.”
All for One straightened. “Excuse me? Heroes are insipid little lap dogs. Villains are the movers and shakers who change society.”
“Change society into a pile of rubble,” All Might said.
Izuku leaned his chin in one of his four hands. “From what the friendly one has told me, he’s changed his society—for the better. Positive change counts as change, too.”
All for One felt ganged-up on. He muttered, “All Might stole my quirk.”
“It was a gift from my master,” All Might said.
Izuku clapped his hands. “Powers can be transmitted? Oh, how interesting. Could I obtain a primitive power?”
All Might blinked. “Maybe? I have the only transferable quirk that I know of. I’m not sure if your DNA would be close enough to human.”
“I could give you a power to test it,” All for One said. He could give the boy a useless power and hope it caused him to blow up.
“You can’t!” All Might barked. “You’ve harmed humans with incompatible abilities, who knows what would happen to an alien child?”
Izuku said, “I can alter my DNA, though it would take me a long time.”
“Hmm…” All for One muttered, switching to wondering what would happen if he gave Izuku multiple quirks like Gigantomachia.
“I’ve gotten a lot of useful information for my science project. Thank you!” Izuku reached through the electrical barrier and hugged All Might.
The hero gasped and went limp in surprise.
Izuku looked up at him with big, green eyes. Pink tinged his skin. “Did I do something wrong again? According to the videos I watched, this was how your kind thanked each other.”
“Oh, no, not at all.” All Might beamed down at the child and hugged him back.
All for One tsked his tongue. Just look at this fool. He’d fallen for Stockholm Syndrome after less than an hour of captivity. It was pathetic.
“I suppose you were useful, too.” Izuku turned and hugged All for One.
The villain’s first instinct was murder, but he still planned to charm the alien child, so he restrained himself.
All for One hated being touched. He hadn’t let anyone hug him in centuries. Not since his little brother. To his surprise, the touch didn’t revolt him. The boy’s arms were warm and his curly hair flopped in an adorable fashion.
When the warmth was withdrawn, All for One felt startled. Suddenly, he realized that Izuku reminded him a bit of Yoichi, with the same rambling tendencies and fearlessness.
Well then, All for One would see if he could use the same manipulation techniques that had always worked on his foolish younger brother.
As soon as the alien–Izuku–stepped out of the room, All Might gave a breath of relief. So far the boy seemed very young and earnest, genuine with his intentions, but he wasn’t so sure about the rest of his race.
He’d seen enough movies in his youth to know what aliens studying other planets could mean, and if he could convince Izuku to tell his people that Earth wasn’t worth invading then he would continue to play along with this so-called research project.
Plus the hug was actually nice, so warm and making him think of the times Nana would…
At the reminder of his teacher, All Might turned towards the monster sitting just a few feet from him.
That man was likely planning on using this alien, manipulating him into giving All for One control over the ship where All for One would then take over the fleet and take over the planet with it.
Before the villain would ultimately get stabbed in the back, thrown out of the airlock, and the humans forced to serve their alien overlords.
All Might refused to let that happen.
Glaring at his nemesis, All Might said, “Whatever you’re planning, don’t even try it. I’ve seen all the American movies about aliens, and I’m sure you don’t want to be thrown out of an airlock.”
All for One sneered. “Who are you to tell me what to do, you insipid poster boy?”
All Might’s eye twitched. Of course this villain wouldn’t listen to common sense. He could try to coax his enemy—but the notion of sweet-talking the man who’d murdered Nana in front of him made his heart burn with rage.
Instead, he went for a threat. “I’ll punch a hole in the bottom of this ship and kill all of us before I let you bring an alien invasion down on Earth.”
All for One glared. “Heroes. You think suicide is noble, and you don’t care who you drag down with you.”
Izuku called, “I have recording equipment picking up everything you say. Also, a supernova couldn’t penetrate my ship’s hull.”
“Really?” All for One’s ears perked up. “Would you tell me more about the building materials you use?”
“Sure! I designed parts of this ship myself.” With a flick of his fingers, Izuku brought up a glowing hologram showing the ship’s blueprint.
“How fascinating. Show me more.” In short order, All for One and Izuku were locked in a discussion about alien technology. All Might had no space to interject because he didn’t understand what they were saying. Surely All for One must be using a quirk, because All Might had taken physics at Harvard and didn’t understand a word of this.
It worried All Might to see how they suddenly seemed to be hitting it off. Even more, it worried him how quickly All for One grasped the alien technology.
All for One could not believe how easy this was. The boy was almost like putty in his hands the moment he showed curiosity about his ship–perhaps whatever parents the alien had didn’t give him enough attention. Did aliens even have parents? Lucky them if not.
Everything was going according to plan. All for One had used a classic manipulation technique: he’d openly shown dislike of Izuku, then pretended to be won over. He’d created a dynamic where Izuku would seek his approval. Apparently that trick worked on aliens too. He’d already guessed that 1. Izuku was desperate for approval; and 2. Praising his research was the key to making his skin turn golden.
Plus it wasn’t too hard for All for One to roughly guess the main functions the ship must have–he’d seen plenty of shows and movies in his youth, like Star Trek and his ever favorite Star Wars and bits of Stargate.
He could easily pick apart elements from his favorite media in the ship design and feign understanding of everything. Largely, he was bluffing, but that was fun, especially with how on-edge it was making All Might.
“You know, with the way you talk it seems no one else has taken an interest in this design. Why is that when your build is genius?” All for One asked.
Izuku froze slightly before shaking his head. “It’s no big deal. My…father is too busy with the fleet while my mother wishes for me to focus on my schooling, but that’s ok! Once this is done then I can show them and they will love it,” he said, seemingly trying to keep a positive outlook.
But there was doubt in there, and like a shark to blood, All for One went right for it.
“Really now? If I was your parent then I would have made sure you knew your design was appreciated.”
Izuku turned pink all over and fiddled with his hair. “Do you really mean that? About appreciating my designs?”
“Yes, of course. You’re a genius. Why? Don’t your teachers at least appreciate you? How about your classmates?” All for One made his voice sound innocent, though he’d already guessed the answer.
The alien boy looked at his feet. “My teachers think I should spend more time on military strategy and politics, and less time on building things. My classmates…don’t have any interest in listening to my mutterings. Except Kashn. He, uh, likes to break my stuff. But all in good fun!”
All for One doubted it. “He doesn’t sound like much of a friend.”
“A friend? Yeah, I guess we’re friends, just the kind of friends who fight a lot and insult each other in a joking way. Sort of like how you and All Might are friends.”
All for One stared at the boy. “…That bad?”
Izuku squirmed. “He cares. Deep down. Very, very deep down. We’ve known each other ever since we were in the egg. He used to be nice. But lately, things have gotten tense between us.”
The boy didn’t sound like he wanted to talk about it. All for One didn’t press. Instead, he said, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder. That’s a saying from Earth. If you two spent more time apart, perhaps that would repair your relationship.”
“Do you think so?”
“If you came back to Earth with me—taking along some of your wonderful technology—then you’d be incredibly popular. Humanity has never seen anything like it. People would be lining up to be your friend.” All for One laid out his trap for a lonely boy with the skill of a master manipulator. “Why, I’d be happy to welcome you into my organization as a valued, trusted member.”
He had many plans in mind to use Izuku’s technology, worm his way into the alien society for a hostile takeover, and obtain more hugs…wait. What had that last one been? Hugs had nothing to do with his villainous plans. Ridiculous, that.
Izuku’s eyes sparkled. “That does sound nice…”
Of course, that was when the blond fool had to step in. “I could help you enroll at U.A. Academy to become a hero student,” All Might said. “You’d be a natural.”
“I’m honored you think so.” Izuku spun around, four arms waving as they turned gold all over.
“It’s just, if you want to be a hero student, then you can’t associate with villains.” All Might sighed. “You certainly can’t join a villainous organization.”
All for One glared at his nemesis, his eyes asking, Are you trying to steal my child?
All Might’s answering smirk replied: Yes. Yes, I am.
Izuku looked between the two bipedals, thinking about what he should do.
Sure the aggressive one was a villain and incredibly violent, but he also seemed to want to show Izuku some semblance of care. Something he couldn’t remember having for the longest time.
But then the friendly one said he could help Izuku become a hero. He could go to a hero school and even make friends!
But that would mean he wouldn’t be allowed to interact with the one who seems to understand Izuku.
Before he could give his response, he got a notice for an incoming transmission. One he had to answer within five seconds or else there would be a punishment.
“Please be quiet for a moment, I have to take this,” he said, knowing his skin had taken on a more ghostly black color, his fear becoming evident as he took the call and stared up at the larger-than-life holo of his father.
The man had a stern yet regal look as he looked down on Izuku. He wore a regal red robe over his gray skin. “Child, what are those things behind you? Why did you bring back beings from a primitive planet? There is nothing there for your research project. Those bipedal things barely qualify as sentient.”
Izuku gulped. He didn’t react to the fact his father didn’t even use his name, though he quickly glanced back at the two beings in hopes of conveying an apology.
But that was a mistake.
“Those things can understand us? You activated the translator?! They’ll have to die. I swear if you were seen abducting them then I will have no choice but to have that pathetic rock blown into smithereens!”
“Please, don’t! They won’t say a word. No one else saw me, I swear!” Izuku cried. He was glad he’d had the foresight to disable his father’s trackers after their last fight. At least the fleet wouldn’t be able to find Earth so easily. “It was an accident. I wanted one of the furry ones for my research project. I know I shouldn’t take the ones who can talk. But these two have been amazingly helpful—”
His father cut him off. “You believe that the words of primitives have value? Really, when I think about handing the fleet over to you someday…” His glare became even sterner. “If only I had another child to consider as heir. One more like Kashn. Now there’s a fine, militaristic boy.”
Izuku withered with each word.
All four of his father’s arms waved. “I should blow up that primitive dustbowl just to teach you a lesson about wasting time. Once you’re in military school, you’ll have more to occupy your mind than pointless science projects.”
“Dad! Please, there’s no need!”
“Excuse me.” All for One stood up. His eyes met the alien leader’s with no trace of fear. “You’ve berated this boy quite enough, whoever you are.”
All Might stood up, too. “I never thought I’d agree with a villain about anything, but I do.”
Izuku hissed, “This is my father. In your language, his name would be Emperor Hisashn.” He put an emphasis on the title to hint to the human that he should speak cautiously.
All for One either didn’t notice or didn’t care. “Your son is a technological genius, and if you don’t appreciate him, then I’d be happy to take him under my wing. I’ve invited young Izuku to come to live with me on Earth, to work on his inventions.”
All Might coughed and elbowed his enemy. “He’s considering an offer from me, as well, to become a hero student. I’d be like a father to him.” His eyes raked the alien emperor, who turned red from head to toe. “Since he doesn’t currently have much of one.”
All for One glared. “Hey! I was going to adopt Izuku.”
“I call dibs.”
“You don’t get to just call dibs!”
Izuku twisted two sets of hands together. “Yes, both of you were very generous, but I can’t just abandon school and my friends and family.”
“Why not? Youth is the time to be rebellious. You should have seen all the trouble my brother and I got into at your age.” All for One winked, then said in a lower voice, “And it might teach them to appreciate you a bit more if you ran away from home.”
“This is ridiculous!” Emperor Hisashn shrieked. “My son can’t be adopted by a primitive. I’ll be a galactic laughingstock.”
“It’s not your choice. It’s his,” All for One said, his eyes on Izuku.
His father’s anger only served to edge Izuku on. Usually, Hisashn would one-sidedly berate and criticize him. It felt good to strike back for once. “Technically, my father would need to grant me permission to become an exchange student…but I bet I could fly this ship back to your planet before he could catch me.”
The emperor stuttered with fury.
All Might said, “If you can’t speak to your son in a more civil manner, you have no one to blame but yourself. Young Izuku deserves better.”
A warm feeling started to form under Izuku’s chest. Someone actually stood up for him. Someone wanted him. Two people had acknowledged him and invited him to come stay with them. That reminded him. “But if I can only accept one of your offers, right? I just don’t know how to decide…it doesn’t seem fair to either of you to pick…”
Young Izuku looked at All Might pleadingly, his glowing eyes watery. Next to him, All for One glared. The villain mouthed, “This emperor can’t destroy Earth if his son is living there.”
All Might had realized his archnemesis had an ulterior motive from the moment the villain had stood up. All for One wasn’t exactly the altruistic or child-loving type, but neither of them wanted Earth destroyed. All Might because of the innocent lives, and All for One because all his wealth and influence was located there.
All Might had initially spoken up because he truly wanted to defend the young alien boy. But All for One was right—Izuku also represented their only chance to save Earth. As long as their prince was present, the aliens wouldn’t be able to harm the planet. They had no choice but to (barf) work together to persuade the boy to stay.
Besides, Izuku seemed good-hearted and All Might had confidence he could persuade him to the right side given time. He said, “Normally, a hero student couldn’t associate with villains, but I can make an exception for your…important research. You’ll have to keep your connection with All for One secret.”
“Yes!” Izuku pumped his fist. “I’m going to Earth!”
Emperor Hisashn opened his mouth. Izuku slammed his finger down on a button, cutting off the video. He looked down at his own hand as if he couldn’t believe he’d done that. “My father will be so angry.”
“You did well, standing up to him.” All Might swept Izuku into a hug. The boy smiled and hugged him back.
All for One jumped up and down behind them, waving his hand. “Rule number one! Every time you hug him, you have to give me a hug, too.”
Kashn grumbled under his breath.
It had been ages since that twerp vanished into the cosmos, their emperor barking orders to bring the fleet to every primitive planet to try and locate him.
Of course the idiot wouldn’t have considered the fact that his kid would have removed all the imperial trackers from his ship.
Kashn’s own ship was far from the fleet, following the signal that he keeps locked on in the event that said prince ever decided to run away and leave him behind.
Fat chance, especially since Kashn would like to have someone who wasn’t some boring extra to help him test his latest invention.
“I better make sure I blend in with those primitives,” he grumbled, taking a deep breath as he checked the images he got of an average member of the dominant species.
Two arms, two legs, and skin tones are varied from a pale color to a darker color. The hair of someone his age could be a variety of colors.
Though in recent times, the dominant species had developed some kind of super power.
With a grin, Kashn grabbed the microchips and attached them to the palms of his upper hands.
After flexing his fingers, he brought his palm up and activated the chip. His grin widened at the explosion that came out of the chip. “Perfect, they will never suspect a thing,” he said, grabbing an under jacket to hide his lower arms with.
After grabbing another chip, he pressed it to his neck with a hiss and looked at his reflection.
Pale orange skin shifted to a more peach color, though his hair remained the same.
Fine by him, it didn’t look too out of the ordinary and would certainly fool a primitive.
“Alright, time to see why that idiot decided to stay down there.”
After living on this planet for six Earth Years, Izuku had already figured out a routine. On Sundays through Tuesdays, he stayed with All for One at his lair full of old villain merchandise and a fascinating laboratory (now rendered 100% more ethical by Izuku replacing the corpses with flesh dummies generated on his ship). On Thursdays to Saturdays, Izuku stayed in a bedroom at the top of Might Tower overlooking Musutafu and trained in heroism. On Wednesdays, All for One and All Might arm-wrestled over who got Izuku. After the first disaster, Izuku took them up into space to fight so they couldn’t do as much damage.
He never thought spending time on Earth would be this freeing, allowed to do stuff he would normally never do.
Though there were some aspects of home that he did miss, it was nothing compared to this! Today, Izuku sat in a round office as All Might and All for One showed competing PowerPoint presentations about the merits of heroism and villainy. He’d yet to tell them that he didn’t see why he couldn’t do both. His face turned gold with joy. He still hadn’t learned to control the colors of his skin like an adult, but luckily he could pass this off as a human “quirk.”
“Only ten more months until UA’s Entrance Exam,” one of his caretakers, All Might, said with a large smile on his face. “We still have to prepare you for all aspects, not just the physical portion,” he said, holding quite a few study guides and mock exams. “Not that I don’t have confidence in you, but I want to make sure you are as prepared as possible!”
Izuku gave a laugh as he took all the study guides. “Of course! After we finish this, will we be doing physical training with Villain Dad?” he asked, already knowing the competition those two would get into.
It always amazed him that even after six Earth Years of living together, the two would still bicker and get into competitions with each other. Of course he could not afford to pass up on the opportunity to collect data, so sometimes he would encourage the bickering…
As if hearing his name mentioned, All for One stepped into the room with his own study materials.
“Obviously All Might’s information on Entrance Exams is way out of date, he hasn’t been to UA in a good few decades. Here’s something more current.”
Upon looking at the cover of the two sets of study materials, Izuku snorted.
“They’re both the exact same,” he said, holding up the covers.
His two guardians went silent before glaring at each other.
“Come on, let’s go play that Earth Game you two love so much!” Izuku decided to say instead, knowing that it was the best way to stop them from attempting to rip organs apart or even blow faces off.
Izuku had come to Earth with a long list of Dad Games to play. Baseball had been…educating but Musutafu couldn’t take that much damage on a regular basis. Neither Hero Dad nor Villain Dad enjoyed fishing very much, and when All for One started losing he had a negative effect on the ecosystem. However, both dads enjoyed scrabble. They enjoyed it so much they got very competitive.
Smirking, All for One placed down his tiles. “BEZIWES. Don’t bother looking the word up, All Might. I know you’ve never heard of it, but it’s a card game played with a pack of 48 cards.”
“I’ll check anyway.” All Might typed into his phone. “Actually, it’s spelled Beziques with a q. Maybe you’ve started to lose your eyesight in your old age?”
“Oh, fine.” All for One rearranged his tiles. “WHEEZE, which you must know is a word because you do it so often. Do your lungs still hurt from the last time I punched you in the gut? That’s a triple letter score for the z.”
“EXORCIZE with a double word score, as I will exorcize your evil from young Izuku.” All Might slammed down his tiles.
“I have OXYPHENBUTAZONE on a triple word score,” Izuku said, flipping over his tiles. While both dads had been distracted, he’d used the small generator under the table to create his own Scrabble tiles. He’d also been taking notes on how All Might moved his hands too fast to be seen in order to steal letters from the pile and All for One used a wood manipulation quirk to carve different letters into his tiles.
It had been another day of valuable research for Izuku (and, incidentally, preventing Hero Dad and Villain Dad from destroying each other or their small but lovely planet.)
After running his name through a translator so it would make more sense to these primitives, Katsuki walked through the park. No one paid him any mind as he looked at each individual specimen.
So far none of them appeared to be anything special, though he did stop upon seeing a black four-legged creature with pointed ears and a tail that flicked curiously.
Seemed like one of the creatures that nerd would have wanted to study.
Crouching down, Katsuki reached a hand out to it.
The creature moved and headbutted his hand.
“Have you seen,” he paused, wracking his brain for the translation before it hit him, “Izuku? About my age, green hair and eyes, freckles?”
The creature rumbled something and climbed up onto his shoulder with a small noise.
It then nuzzled his face, the rumbling continuing.
Katsuki groaned as he sat up, the critter not even moving from its perch.
“Fine, guess I’ll have to keep searching,” he mumbled, a hand going up instinctively to pet the animal. Might as well let it stick around after all.
Though as he kept walking, he soon heard a familiar voice.
“Hey! That’s cheating!”
With a huff, Katsuki walked towards the voice before stopping when he saw the one person he was looking for.
Being squished between two primitives, laughing without a care in the world as the white haired one reached down to tickle him.
Katsuki stopped just a few feet away, watching in silence.
He could try and drag the idiot back home so their emperor would knock it off, but upon seeing how happy his classmate was…
Rolling his eyes, Katsuki turned and walked away before stopping upon seeing an ad for the top school on the planet.
“Top School, eh?” he said with a smile.
Might as well take his own gap millennia from the Imperial Academy.
Especially if UA was exactly as they advertise it.
Upon walking through the gates to UA for the first time, Izuku had a large smile on his face.
This was only the first step of his real journey on this planet, but he knew it would not be the last.
Especially with the backing of his guardians.
Taking a deep breath, he prepared to continue forward until he felt something crash into him.
Looking back, he froze.
“Kashn?” he asked, though it sounded more like Kacchan through his automatic translator.
His former classmate looked different, but he would know that face and those eyes anywhere as they stared straight at Izuku.
“What are you doing here?” Izuku asked. All for One must have been right! Absence had made Kashn miss him!
Kashn blinked before grinning.
“You think I’m going to let you leave me behind? Fat chance, Deku. Now come on, let’s get this test out of the way,” he said, grabbing Izuku’s arm and tugging him forward.
Not even fighting the tugging, Izuku gave a huff.
Somehow, he knew things would get more exciting with Kashn here.
And as he took his first step, he decided that he definitely made the right choice when he accidentally abducted All Might and All for One all those years ago.
“Yeah, let’s go!”
