Work Text:

Shroud, a spider hybrid, was sprinting and yelling, “Micheal! Micheal!” Micheal, his best friend, didn’t respond, “Shit- Junior! Junior!”

Junior, full name Foolish Junior, was the oldest of their group, the one they all looked for, for help when their parents weren’t around. He was a totem of undying hybrid.

Junior came over the hill, “What is it Shroud?”

“Micheal fell, I can’t find him,” He explained, near hysterical.

“Okay, okay, take a breath Shroud,” Junior said.

He took a couple calming breathes.

“Good now. Yogurt!” Junior yelled.

Yogurt, his kinda cousin, was an arctic fox hybrid, good at tracking.

“Hey Junior whatcha need?” Yogurt asked as he to came over the hill.

“Micheal fell and we can’t find him,” Junior explained.

“I’ll look,” Yogurt said and ran off.

“Yogurt’ll find him, Micheal will be fine,” Junior assured him.

Michelle and Finley came over the hill.

They were the two girls of their group, Michelle, Junior and Finley’s Aunt, which they all ignored, a piglin hybrid and Finley, Junior’s little sister, another totem of undying hybrid.

“We heard yelling, is everyone alright?” Michelle asked.

“Micheal fell and Yogurt’s looking for him,” Junior explained.

“Shroud is alright?” Finley asked.

“I’m alright Fin, promise,” He told the youngest.

“Someone needs to go grab Tubbo or Ranboo!” Yogurt yelled returning to them.

“Did you find him?” He asked.

“Yes, but we need his Dads,” Yogurt confirmed.

They know were he is, thank fuck, “I’ll go with Fin.”

“Okay go,” Junior said.

“Come on, Finley,” Shroud said.

“Okay Shroud!” Finley said.

The spider and totem ran off to get Micheal’s parents.

“What happened how is he?” Michelle demanded.

“I could see him, he doesn’t look great. He wasn’t conscious,” Yogurt explained, then quieter, “I’m worried.”

“Tubbo and Ranboo will know what to do,” Junior assured the arctic fox.

After a moment they heard Tubbo call, “Kids!”

Tubbo, Ranboo, and Tommy came over the hill with Shroud and Finley.

Yogurt straighted up, “I can take you to him!”

“Let’s go,” Tubbo nodded.

Then Ranboo didn’t move.

“Boo!” Tubbo called.

Ranboo and Tubbo followed Yogurt to where Micheal was.

Tommy crouched in front of them, “Hey there can you tell me what happened?”

“Me and Micheal were playing and then he fell and I couldn’t find him. I called Junior and he called Yogurt and Yogurt found him,” Shroud explained.

“Yogurt said Micheal was unconscious,” Junior spoke up.

Shroud looked even more panicked.

“Shit,” Tommy whispered then louder, “Okay, thank you for telling me. Everyone is going to be fine, alright.”

“Tommy!” Tubbo yelled.

“Coming!” Tommy got up and started to head towards his friends, he turned around, “Stay here.”

Yogurt showed up a little after Tommy left.

“Yogurt! What’s happening over there?” Michelle asked.

“Ranboo got Micheal, he really doesn’t look good. They told me to go back to you guys,” Yogurt explained.

“Dad’s going over there,” Shroud mentioned.

“Tommy can heal people,” Junior reminded them, “He’ll be able to help.”

They managed to miss Foolish coming over the hill, “Hey there kiddos.”

“Dad!” Finley exclaimed.

“Hi Jellybean,” Foolish said.

“Are you taking us to Puffy?” Junior asked.

“Yep, Fundy’s there two. We’re going to wait for Tubbo, Tommy, and Ranboo’s at Puffy’s alright?” Foolish said.

They all nodded except Finley who said, “Up!” while holding up her hands for Foolish to pick her up.

Foolish pickled up her up and they all followed Foolish to Puffy’s.

“Dad!” Yogurt exclaimed when he noticed Fundy, and ran towards him.

“Hi sweetheart,” Fundy caught Yogurt.

“There you are Stinker,” Puffy said, as Michelle ran over to her.

“Mom!” Michelle giggled.

Fundy and Yogurt went over to Shroud, “Hey there Shroud, how are you feeling?”

“It’s my fault,” He said.

“I’m sure it’s not,” Fundy assured him.

“We were playing. He was with me and he got hurt,” He insisted.

“Did you push him?” Puffy asked.

“No!” He exclaimed almost offended, “Why would I do that?!”

“Then it’s not your fault, Shroud,” Puffy told him.

“You didn’t know and that’s okay. Micheal won’t blame you,” Foolish assured him.

“Tubbo and Ranboo aren’t going to let me see him!” He once again insisted to the three adults.

Puffy seemed to wave Fundy and Foolish off. Fundy started talking softly to Yogurt while Foolish kept the other three away. “They won’t do that. They know it was an accident.”

“Promise?” He asked.

“Yes, I promise,” Puffy promised.

After a moment Junior called out, “They’re coming!”

“Tommy,” Fundy gave as a greeting, voice a bit cold.

“Fundy,” Tommy greeted back in the same tone.

“Hey Yogurt?” Tubbo called out.

“Yes?” Yogurt looked at the short brunette.

“Thank you for finding Micheal for us,” Tubbo said.

“Oh, you’re welcome! Junior told me to though,” Yogurt was obviously uncomfortable with the praise.

“Thank you Junior as well,” Tubbo said.

“Yes, thank you Junior. You were very brave. You all were,” Tommy said.

“I didn’t do anything!” Michelle protested.

“You went to them when you thought something was wrong. You didn’t know what was going on but you still ran to help,” Puffy said.

“Is Micheal okay?” He asked carefully.

“Yes, Micheal is fine,” Tubbo assured him.

“We should get him home Bee,” Ranboo spoke up.

Tubbo nodded.

“Come on Baby,” Tommy said, offering a hand to him.

He took it and signed a goodbye to his friends.

“Bye Shroud,” They chorused.

“Goodbye,” Tubbo called.

“Bye boys,” Puffy said.

“Bye,” Foolish said as he waved.

“Bye Puffy, Bye Foolish!” Tommy said, then his voice dropped into the same cold tone from earlier, “Fundy.”

“Tommy.” Fundy said back.

He was sitting next to his Dad on the couch in Micheal’s room. “When will he wake up?” He asked.

“Soon, don’t worry baby,” Tommy assured.

“Why are you so calm?” Tubbo almost snapped.

“Which one of us has the healing powers, Tubs?” Tommy asked.

“You,” Tubbo said.

“And which one of us grew up with two piglins?” Tommy asked.

“You,” Tubbo said again.

“Then please trust me,” Tommy said.

“I do,” Tubbo said, bristling a bit.

“I know you’re worried but I know what I’m doing he’ll be up soon. Just as rambunctious as usual,” Tommy tried to appease the worry his best friend was feeling.

“Tommy’s right. You need to be calm. He’ll freak out if you’re freaking out,” Ranboo cut in.

“You’re also freaking out Shroud,” Tommy said gently and mildly.

Tubbo turned to him with a guilty look, “I’m sorry Dawn, I’m just a bit worried, he’ll be fine.”

They heard a groan from the bed.

Ranboo was already over by the bed, “Good afternoon Cupcake.”

Micheal blinked up at Ranboo, “Bee?”

Tubbo had rushed over, “Hey Honey.”

“Mimi?” Micheal asked.

Tommy got up quickly and sat one the bed, “Hi Munchkin.”

“Shroud?” Micheal asked.

Micheal actually asked for him?

“Shroud’s right here,” Tubbo said, turning and gesturing him to come over.
