Work Text:

The bubbly laughter of young boys fill the cardboard box as the two imagine themselves as pro heroes.

Both as All Might, of course.

“Fear not, lady, we’ll save you!”

“Yeah, we’re gonna beat their asses!”

“Kaachan!”

“What!?” The blonde boy responded.

“Pro-heroes don’t talk like that! Especially not to civilians!” The younger of the two said, looking at the other with his large, green eyes.

Katsuki huffed, “Well, I’m just gonna have to be a different kind of pro-hero!”

“Mm, okay. Oh! What quirk do you think you’ll have?” Izuku asked, eyes already shining at the topic of quirks.

“Something big and loud! It’s gonna be so awesome!” The blonde exclaimed. “And yours has to match mine! Your quirk is gonna be big and loud too!”

Izuku giggled, “We can be a duo!”

“Uh, duh. You have to stick with me, you’re not
allowed to be apart from me.” Katsuki said to the other.

The two smiled at each other before continuing to play All Might and All Might.

“Boys! Time for lunch!” Katsuki’s mother called from downstairs.

“Coming, Auntie!”

“Coming!”

Katsuki looked at Izuku, “Race you down.”

The green haired boy smiled, “You’re on.”

They pushed the flaps of the box open and ran out the room. Quite a bit of pushing and shoving later, the boys are found wheezing at the entrance of the kitchen.

“I won!” Izuku and Katsuki said at once.

Mitsuki put a hand on her hip, “Only one of you could’ve gotten here first,” she laughed. “But let’s just say you both were the fastest.”

The boys beamed at the blonde woman and went to go sit at the prepared table. “What’d you make, Auntie?” Izuku asked.

Katsuki’s mother walked over with two bowls of steaming food. “Katsudon! Katsuki begged me to make it for you since you’d be coming over.”

“Hey!” Katsuki exclaimed, mouth already full of rice.

Izuku giggled, “Thanks, Kaachan.” The blonde mumbled a reply and dug into their bowls. Mitsuki watched the boys from the kitchen with a smile on her face. [Those two are inseparable.]

After eating and helping Katsuki’s mother clean up the dishes, the two made their way to the living room. Mitsuki sat with string and beads, planning to make bracelets for Inko’s kindergarten class.

“Ooh, are those bracelets?” Izuku asked, eyes wide with curiosity.

Mitsuki smiled, “Yes, would you and Katsuki like to make one?”

Izuku gasped, “Can we, Kaachan?!”

“Sure, Izu.” Katsuki smiled, sitting next to the younger at the coffee table.

“What color beads would you two like?” Mitsuki asked, lowering the box holding said beads so the boys could see the options.

Izuku and Katsuki thought together for a moment before replying, “Green and orange!”

“Orange for Kaachan, Green for me!” Izuku exclaimed.

Katsuki’s mother laughed in adoration and gave the boys the beads and string after measuring their wrists.

By the time Inko came to pick up her son and the jewelry for her class, Izuku and Katsuki were sporting new, colorful accessories.

On the drive home, Inko asked Izuku, “Did you make that with Katsuki?” Wondering about the bracelet around his wrist.

“Mm hm! Auntie Mitsuki taught us how to make it! Me and Kaachan are gonna make it part of our hero costumes!” He excitedly said in response.

Inko briefly glanced into the rear view mirror to smile at her son, “That’s a wonderful idea, dear. “

Izuku kept a smile on his face all the way home. He couldn’t wait till he and Katsuki got their quirks! They were going to be the best pro-heroes the world had ever seen!
