"Akabane?"
Should I be more shocked by him being on the main campus? Or concerned by the fact that I can see the nervousness in his eyes.
"Second place! I have a request for you.-"
And just for that nickname, all traces of concern are gone (not really but like hell I'd admit that out loud).
"-You know, to pay me back for proving the principal wrong."
"So the request benefits your whole class?"
"Yes actually it does."
"Why are you asking it then. I'd expect the class representative to do it."
"Because it benefits the class in the way that they don't have to hear my complaining about you."
Ok, now all the concern is gone.
"And it's something I don't want anyone else asking you for me."
"You have five seconds. What?"
"Will you go to the little bakery with me?"
So that's why he was nervous he was asking me- he was asking me out? Well ok then.
"Are you asking me out on a date Akabane?"
"...yes?"
"Cause you like me?"
"Yup"
"Even though we're rivals."
Hmm he's getting nervous again. Now I see why he enjoys making people suffer. This is honestly entertaining.
"If you're gonna decline just do it already."
"I think you mean reject but that's not the focus right now. I'm busy today so we'll do it tommorow after school. That ok with you? Great. See you tommorow Karma."
Granted those were unfortunately my parting words so I couldn't see his reaction but, if the 'Yeah go ahead, take my sadistic role why don't you?.' was anything to go by, I could say his face would be quite entertaining.
I'll pick up some strawberry milkshake for him tommorow.
