Fives followed Shaak Ti into a medical room and was surprised when she locked down the room.
"Uh, General?" Fives wondered. Shaak Ti looked at Fives and he noticed that her eyes were full of sorrow.
"Fives, you must listen to me. I have so much to explain and so little time to explain it. For many months now, I have had a vision of this event. Something that can be altered slightly and must be altered. Fives, you will find out what is wrong with Tup and he will die or at least appear dead. Then you fight to reveal the truth and eventually, you will die by Fox's hand and in Rex's arms. This can be changed. I have equipped the droid that has been assigned to you with a special sedative. Once you find out what has happened to Tup and remove it, you are to give it to him. This will make him appear dead. I cannot tell you what happens, but I can tell you that on your way to Coruscant, you will be drugged. This drug will drive you mad. It will drive you to your death. You will become a fugitive and you will run to 79's. There, I will have the same drug waiting for you. It will be in the hands of a very dear friend. When you enter the place where you will die, you will find an altered chest plate. The outer layer will burn when Fox shots you, but the underlayer will protect you. Put it on and then take the drug just as Anakin and Rex walk in." Shaak Ti explained vaguely.
"I think I understand. What about our bodies?"
"You will do all you can to explain the problem and I will have to do by duty. I will signal for my team on Coruscant to take the fake bodies of you and Tup and alter them. Then they will be taken to the medical facility on Coruscant."
"Do you know who's behind all of this?"
"No. And you will not be able to tell anyone the full story. You cannot. Whatever happens, but happen. All I know is that you have a family waiting for you. Tup has a battle to fight. One that will change the course of a war, but not this one."
"What about the drug?"
"The drug is a strong sedative. Once you and Tup take it, you will both appear dead. You will be dead. My team will intercept your bodies and make the switch. You and Tup will be taken to an outpost that only a handful of Jedi know about. There, you and Tup will be placed in carbon freeze. When the time is right, I will send out a beacon and you will be found. My visions were vague, Fives, but I know that this is the only way."
"I will do what must be done, ma'am. It will be an honor to serve you, ma'am."
"You are one of the finest clones, FIves. Remember that. I must go."
Shaak Ti left the room and Fives changed out of his armor. He comprehended what Shak Ti said, but that doesn't mean he understands what she said.
(This scene takes place towards the end of ep 2.)
"Alright, here's what you need to do. DO you have the injection that the general gave you?" Fives questioned.
"Of course I do, but I do not know why," AZI replied.
"When you remove the tumor, you are to inject this into Tup. Do not ask why. Just do it."
"Alright. What else do you want me to do?"
Fives explained his plan and they set it into motion. When AZI removed the chip, he injected Tup and the plan continued to go into motion.
(This scene takes place on the ship just prior to Ep4.)
Shaak Ti walked over to Fives and looked to Nala Se.
"I would like to speak to Fives alone." Shaak Ti ordered.
"I will check on the other clone." Nala Se replied reluctantly.
When Nala Se was gone, Shaak Ti looked down at Fives.
"My team is waiting. When we arrive, Nala Se will deliver the chips while my team switches Tup's body." Shaak Ti whispered.
"What about the chip?" Fives wondered.
"Already taken care of. When you get to 79's you will find two dear friends. One will walk into the refresher. He will have your sedative. Here is the location you are to go to."
Shaak Ti waved her hand and Fives saw the location in his mind. He nodded and Shaak Ti smiled.
"When Nala Se returns, be ready. She will drug you." Shaak Ti warned.
"I wouldn't expect anything less." Fives sighed. Shaak Ti left the room and Nala Se returned. She injected Fives and Fives prayed that this would all work out.
Sure enough, when Tup's body was transported to the medical facility, it was by Shaak Ti's team. They switched the bodies and took Tup's body to their ship.
While Fives ran and tried to hide, Shaak Ti walked into the 501st barracks and saw Kix alone.
"Kix, I have a mission for you. Tonight, you and Jesse will go to 79's. Wait one hour and then go into the refresher. There, a friend will meet you. He will give you a location. You are to give him this. Please, Kix, you must do this. The clone army and the Republic depend upon this." Shaak Ti explained. She gave Kix the container with the hypo and Kix looked at Shaak Ti.
"Who is this friend? What is going on?" Kix wondered.
"You will see soon enough. Please, Kix. I cannot tell you more."
Kix thought a moment and sighed.
"I'll... I'll do it." Kix sighed.
"Thank you." Shaak Ti thanked. She left the barracks and Kix sighed.
(This scene takes place just after the scene with Kix and Fives cuts out.)
As Kix watched Fives walk away, he remembered what Shaak Ti said.
"Fives, wait. I have something for you." Kix said. Fives turned to face Kix.
"Is it from Shaak Ti?" Fives wondered.
"Yes. Here."
Kix gave Fives the container and Fives chuckled.
"Thank you, Kix. You have no idea how much this means to me." Fives thanked.
"When this is all over, you will explain it to me, right?" Kix wondered.
"If I can. I don't understand it myself, but this is something I have to do."
Fives left 79's and arrived at the warehouse. He looked around and prepared for his final stand. He found the altered chest plate and he put it on. When he heard Rex and Anakin, he looked at the hypo.
"Well, I guess this is it." Fives sighed. He injected himself and disposed of the hypo.
Fives faked his death and sure enough, Shaak Ti's team transported his body. They switched him and then put his body with Tup's.
(This is after ep. 4)
Shaak Ti walked onto her ship and saw her team waiting.
"Is it done?" Shaak Ti wondered.
"Yes." The male torguta stated.
"After this, we will disperse. You are all my closest friends. I thank you for helping me."
"Anything you need."
"We must leave for Cerie iii."
"Is it safe?"
"Yes. It is. There are no inhabitants in the system and nothing of value. There is only an ancient facility. Not even the wisest of the Jedi know and I have destroyed all traces of this place."
They traveled to Cerie iii. Shaak Ti walked into the back room and saw Tup and Fives. They were still unconscious. Shaak Ti waved her hand and both of them stirred.
"Where... where am I?" Tup questioned as he sat up.
"You are safe." Shaak Ti replied. "In time, Fives will explain everything."
"It worked?" Fives wondered.
"Yes, it did."
"Shaak Ti, I know who's behind all of this."
"You cannot tell me. I must not know. I am certain of this much. I must be in the dark. This secret will remain hidden with you and whoever else figures it out."
"But it could save everyone."
"I know, but the future must come to pass. I should not have even considered what I did, but in small ways, you will be needed in the future. We will arrive on Cerie ii very soon. Enjoy that time. Once there, both of you will be placed in stasis."
Shaak Ti left the room and Fives explained everything to Tup.
"So now we just go into stasis? What about our brothers and the Jedi?" Tup questioned.
"I trust Shaak Ti. We will wake up when we are needed most." Fives sighed.
"I still don't understand any of this."
"I don't either."
When they arrived on Cerie iii, they walked into an underground facility and walked into a large room.
"There's nothing here," Tup said. Shaak Ti walked over to the wall and pushed three stones on the wall. The doors opened and they walked inside and saw that it was set up just for them.
"Step onto the platforms." Shaak Ti stated.
"Oh, I am not looking forward to this." Fives groaned. "Why did I agree to this?"
"Because you are a good man."
Fives groaned and did as he was told. Tup followed him. Shaak Ti looked at her team and then back at Tup and Fives.
"I have no doubt that when you wake, this galaxy will be very different, but I know that those who find you will help you adjust. You both have done well and you continue to do well." Shaak Ti stated. She used the force and pushed the lever. It lowered Fives and Tup into the chambers and when they were removed, they were frozen. Shaak Ti and her team placed Fives and Tup's chambers in their proper places and left the facility.
(This is set before Revenge of The Sith.)
When Shaak Ti received word that the Chancellor have been taken, she felt something stir inside. She knew that she had to return to Cerie iii. When she arrived, she walked into the room and saw Tup and FIves' chambers. She walked over to a computer and prepared a recording.
"If you are seeing this, then I am dead. Follow this beacon. Here, you will find what you seek." Shaak Ti said. "Only the worthy will be able to open this room. Only the worthy will be able to see this transmission. If you see this, then you are worthy."
Shaak Ti ended the transmission and set a date on it. She placed her hand on Tup's chamber and sighed. Then she did the same to Fives. She walked to the doors and looked back.
"May the force be with you both." Shaak Ti stated.
Shaak Ti returned to Coruscant and a few days later, order 66 went out and she died and the secret of Tup and Fives died with her and her friends.
