Chapter Text
Coach Daisuke never felt so insulted and defeated in his whole life, having trained soccer teams all over Japan.
In front of him, there was the Holy Emperor himself, seated on his comfortable chair, and he kept on glaring at him with icy eyes, while his two left hand men stayed next to him. He was grinning, as if he just won something at the lottery, and that really made his blood boil in his veins, dreading to put his hands around his neck and watch that horrible smile leave his face. He knew why he was taken in that office, obviously, and it was to talk about the fate of the team he was training, named Resistance Japan.
-I hope you don't feel too insulted or betrayed, coach Daisuke, we are just thinking of the well-being of the team.- He said while moving an arm, and after that the man got a bunch of documents in his hands. Everything was written so small and tight, he could barely understand a word printed on it.
-The team has a lot of potential, but while you were training them, they never gave their all to get better, maybe they didn't feel comfortable around you. They have the strenght to go against Raimon and win, too bad you didn't realize it. I took a look at the list of teams classified by power, and, surprisingly, they are almost at the bottom! Do you understand what I'm trying to say, coach?- The Holy Emperor kept on saying, crossing his legs and resting his now-blonde head on his hand. He seemed very comfortable, on that throne he created for himself, and Daisuke felt like he was trying to tell him just how insignificant and tiny he was.
-This is why I think professional soccer players are...more suitable than you, to lead a team so fantastic.-
-I refuse! I created this team with some of the Fifth Sector agents! I won't leave my place to some spoiled brats just because you know them! I beg you not to choose them over me!- He screamed right in front of the Holy Emperor, out of his mind. He refused to leave that room, not when he could at least try to defend himself, because that would have been a huge hit on his pride.
-You are right, don't misunderstand what I'm trying to say, you are the founder of Resistance Japan, but I'm the Holy Emperor here, I'm the one taking decisions. Don't you think it's quite unfair to those guys? They too want to win as many matches as possible.-
Just as he finished speaking, Daisuke heard laughs behind him, as if they were making fun of him, and that's when he realized those "spoiled brats" have been in the room since the beginning of the meeting. It was impossible not to recognize them, having played for the Inazuma Japan (and other importants teams all over the world) for more than five years. Daisuke hated them with his whole heart, they were living HIS dream after all. He heard they even travelled around Japan to visit unlucky teams, and he felt disgusted by it.
They were the Holy Emperor's friends, of course they got his place.
-Oi highlighter, you finally decided to see some potential in us and use our wonderful brains to train a team? Your head is not so messed up, then!- Screamed one of the two silver haired guys, having them tied in a small ponytail. The one next to him gave him a slap behind his head and rolled the only visible eye.
The Holy Emperor and his two left arm men seemed like they couldn't hide the smiles, finding the situation quite funny, especially if the four of them started arguing for whatever reason Daisuke really didn't care about. After a few long minutes, they all finally paid attention to the now ex-coach of the Resistance Japan, but the only woman present was the one that started talking.
-I hope you get it, coach Daisuke. We gave you another team to train, they lost their coach a few weeks ago for reasons I'm not allowed to tell you yet, and its the Tonegawa Gakuen. All the informations are being sent to your house as we speak, so you can get to working as soon as possible.- She said while walking towards him, her hands in the pockets of her doctor's coat, until stopping in front of him.
-Why are you the one talking with me, doctor Miyano? Aren't you the head doctor of lots hospitals founded by the Fifth Sector? Maybe the Holy Emperor bought you to stay on his side.- Daisuke spit out without realizing it, before regretting whatever he said. It was something true, everyone knew that doctor Miyano was a close friend of the Holy Emperor, but at this point it has been proved that she was actually working for his patients.
Behind him he heard someone muffling insults that, surely, would have been thrown at him without any sort of regret. He was digging his own grave, actually, and there was no way he could save himself.
-And what about it? I get paid for my work and so do you, I may be a doctor, but remember my position in the Fifth Sector: I'm just as powerful as the Holy Emperor, i know everything that happens inside and outside this building, so I'll advise you to respect me in the same way you would with the Holy Emperor.- She started saying, taking the hands out of the pockets, and the man was sure he never saw that woman so serious and angry in all the years he has been in the Fifth Sector.
-I hope my point was clear enough, coach Daisuke, because I do not accept people who don't show respect.-
At that point there was no way Daisuke would have gotten his old job back, it was impossible, not after having disrespected that woman, so he just stormed out of the office after slamming the door. He bumped into everyone, on his way back, but he couldn't care at all. The Fifth Sector will pay for what he did to him.
In the meantime, inside the office, everyone sighed, finally free of the man. Nosaka caressed his own face, tired from all the stuff he had to listen coming out of Daisuke's mouth, but at least Akane put him back in his place and, more likely, he would never be allowed inside his office. Nishikage, next to him, tried to not laugh at the situation, since it was very hard not to make fun of the coach.
-Wow doctor, what's up with that temper? We are all older than you, here, I hope you didn't learn this from your dear husband!- Said Fudou with a smile on his face, while keeping Haizaki still by holding his jacket. The silver haired guy seemed very close to run out of the room just to punch Daisuke a bit, because how dare he talk like that to his wife?!
Akane just shook her head, tired from the long day she had, even if she was very satisfied by the way she handled the situation.
-It was something that needed to be said, he had no reason to talk me down like that, especially just because I'm a woman.- She answered, laughing as her husband finally hugged her and started muttering something nobody understood (as if they were really trying to).
-Well...did you four understand the job? You have to train the Resistance Japan until the end of the next Football Frontier, and, please, do not let me down again.- Nosaka said while walking towards them, followed by a black-haired Nishikage. Hiroto and Atsuya high-fived each other.
-Come on, Nosaka, did we ever let you down?!- Atsuya shouted, putting an arm around Hiroto's shoulders. -We may be childish, but we played for teams overseas! Have some faith in us, won't you? Everything will be fine!-
Ironically, nothing was going as planned.
The first day of their new job started as a disaster, with the four of them even forgetting about it and barely making it in time, arriving at the soccer field with a string of screams and insults. They kept on blaming each other for their late entry, but, at the end, no one remembered it.
And the way the team got to meet them was even worse than expected.
Atsuya, while tripping on a cone on the sideline of the field, fell on the only guy present, with huge and curly orange hair and big green eyes that watched him in horror as he fell on the floor with a loud "thump". The pink haired man swore he will never forget the face of pure terror the small boy had, it will always haunt his dreams. His water bottle flew somewhere away from them.
Meanwhile, Fudou sat on the benches, trying to relax himself a bit, since all the running and screaming tired him. With his eyes closed, he still felt something heavy hit the wall behind him, probably a ball, and, as the man decided to open the eyes, almost snapped, already feeling his hands around the neck of the white-haired guy in front him, that was smirking. Next to him there was someone with hair that reminded Fudou of a mop to clean the floors, and he had no idea what expression he was hiding under the huge scarf.
The rest of the team decided to jump on top of Haizaki and Hiroto, trying to avenge their lost teammate. Between a punch and a kick, Hiroto felt something slip out of his pants' pocket, something he recognized as his wallet, and screamed at the top of his lungs. The boy that stole his wallet, with hair that reminded him of a fin of a shark and brown eyes, just stuck his tongue out, before running away all happily.
-I have his wallet! Guys, I have his wallet, let's run away from here!- He screamed, before getting caught by Haizaki and trapped in his arms, against his will.
While everyone was screaming, arguing and insulting one another, one distinct shout echoed in the empty stadium.
-KITA ICHIBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!-
-So, do you think he is okay?-
-Do I look like my name is "doctor Mahoro"? I have no idea!-
-Yo, check this out, he can still look at us, if we keep his eyelids open!-
-NAMIKAWA DON'T TOUCH KITA'S EYELIDS! IT'S NOT HYGENIC!-
The four adults sighed at the same time, knowing fully well they almost killed one of the team the first day of their new job, and Atsuya prayed his parents weren't rich. Yeah, he too was not poor, since Nae's sweets company was doing great, but it was still better not to get into a lawsuit that early on in his life. Especially because Shirou would have never let him forget it.
The whole team screamed and shouted, happy to see that their teammate was okay and very far away from his grave. They helped him get up and asked him if he still felt sick or something, but Kita just shook his head and thanked them. From that point on, the four coaches realized that, maybe, it was a bad idea having accepted that job, because they were sure those bunch of teens would have killed them.
Fudou started talking. Not because he wanted to, but because his friends were hiding behind him.
-Okay, it's fine, let's calm ourselves down. The guy's feeling great now and luckily it was only an accident.- He started saying, getting interrupted by the orange-haired guy, that started screaming angrily.
-"The guy"?! I have a name, you know?! My teammates kept on repeating it, have you even read the documents before coming here?!- He had a red face, because of how angry he was, and the boy (long brown hair and red eyes) next to him caressed his shoulders, trying to keeping him calm.
-Well...of course we read them! We are not so irresponsabile!- Atsuya answered, before hiding again behind Fudou because Kita was really angry and he didn't want to be killed by that midget.
-We are really not starting great, eh?-
Everyone watched Hiroto, the one that said the last sentence, and at that time the white haired guy from before started talking.
-Bro you are all sooooo young, we can smell the incense your mother used in the home you grew up! Eww, that's disgusting!- He said, covering his nose with an hand, all while the shark guy and scarf guy tried not to laugh too loudly.
-HOW DARE YOU?! MY MOM'S DEAD!- Said then Hiroto, all while Fudou and Haizaki kept him still. Those little shits seemed ready to beat them up.
Everyone started shouting at each other, again, almost starting fighting, but the guy that seemed the captain, a white and purple haired boy, stopped them by coughing a bit. The team became silent, observing their captain walk towards the four coaches without hurry.
-Look at his Majesty, he woke up at last.- Someone said-
-They are our new coaches, let's at least try to be kind and cordial, okay? They are here to help us, after all.- He said in the most calm of ways. The coaches felt reassured by him, finally someone that didn't want to kill them or go against them just because they are older, it felt great.
Nobody spoke for a few minutes, actually, until the captain laughed out loud and urged his teammates to forget whatever he said, it was just bullshit and the coaches should have seen that coming.
-Who are we kidding? Let's ruin their lives!-
Hiroto screamed, scared for his life, and Atsuya seemed like he wanted to say something, too bad Kita threw a shoe at him and whispered something that was very similiar to "try to say a single word, bitch, and I'll make sure you forget how to pee on your two feet.". Atsuya went in hiding behind Fudou.
-Let's start with the introductions before you all decide to kill us. My name is Fudou Akio, I was in the Inazuma Japan for a few years and, as you can see, this is our first job as coaches.- Started Fudou, pointing then at his friends. -Here we have Kira Hiroto, the not-so-heir of the Kira Zaibatsu, if you need money ask him. Next to him is Haizaki Ryouhei, he doesn't have anything interesting going on, but his wife is a very famous doctor, so yeah. At the end there's Fubuki Atsuya, and he--
-HE IS THE BROTHER OF COACH FUBUKI! NOW I KNOW WHY YOU LOOK SO MUCH LIKE HIM!- Screamed a small guy in the front, with deep blue hair and a huge smile on his face, and he ran hugging him as tightly as he could. -You might not be the coach Fubuki, but I'll be satisfied anyway.-
-WHAT DOES THIS EVEN MEAN, MIDGET?!-
-And that's when Yukimura realized he has a third father...- Said the indigo-haired boy, someone Fudou recognized as the best soccer player Afuro had in the Kidokawa.
It was already so crowded, and Fudou really didn't want Afuro to appear and make a useless cameo.
