Y/N was not there aware of there being two worlds the one she was part of and a another world where Alpha,Betas and Omega run unnoticed. Y/S had just been recruited to the Avengers compound she was hoping to get in the lab to work with Dr.Banner or Tony. She wouldn’t mind being out in the field every now and again. Y/S stood in the training room with other new recruits waiting for orders . When Bucky Barnes walked into the training room you could hear the other woman get excited about him training us today since the Avengers rotated. The men stood taller trying to make themselves look bigger than what they were . Y/S was confused on the display that was happening around her . Sure she would agree Bucky was good looking and he was a big guy . But it wasn’t anything she would go chasing after for or risk her job for that matter.
Bucky looked at the new recruits that was standing in front of him he could smell the mixture but there was one person that caught his eye . He had looked over all the recruits files but hers made him wonder. He was disappointed that she was human since she was a beautiful and accomplished which would make a perfect match for him. But Omegas are so rare now a days to find one was like looking for a needle in a hey stack. But he wouldn’t have cared if she was a Beta he would try to court her . Unfortunately Y/N was neither he would have to let it go.
After the first part of training was over everyone was getting a drink of water . Listening to the women talking about Bucky again she was confused about the conversation. How they would love for him to be their Alpha and knot them all day long . Y/S took a huge step away from them since that conversation was going down a road she was not following down. Trying to clear her head she was closer to the men that was looking at the women “.Look at them they are all falling over themselves for that Alpha like any of them have a chance .they might as well settle for what they could get “,as the other men chuckle in agreement shacking there heads at the display.
Y/S brain started to hurt what did she get herself into and why was she around so many weirdos. Counting down till the day was over an she can get her placement in the compound. With her last conversation with Tony they were trying to see if she could be part time in the lab and part time in the field. Which why she was in the training room to see her strength and weakness then work on the improving your skills.
Bucky was impressed with your skills since everyone had given you good marks during the rotation. He would catch himself looking at you when speaking to other recruits. Bucky has not been attracted to a human before an it threw him for a loop. since it was almost unheard of for his kind. The two worlds didn’t mix like that an the act falls borderline taboo. so it made him wonder if there was more then meets the eye here .
So you were told by Tony that your time will be split between the field and lab work. Which was fine with you since it makes for a interesting job and kept you on your toes . Y/S college roommate Rosy worked in the lab with you and were just as excited you would be working with each other . Rosy noticed that Bucky came to the lab more and he would look at her friend . Which made Rosy wonder why his sudden interest in her friend . since he had a lot of women chasing after him but was never interested in them.
Y/S was always paired with the Winter Soldier when they would go on missions since they worked so well together . They would hangout after missions to watch movies or try to update Buckys music playlist . Get him to try new food a Steve was happy that Bucky had found a friend that was getting him more into the world. But Steve did worry a little bit since you were just a regular human and that you won’t understand some aspects of there lives.
You were processing samples when Rosy came to stand next to you .”so what is going on with you and Sargent Barnes ?”, You were confused about the question since it didn’t strike you anything was going on. You have been on a couple missions with him, hung out a couple times and would train with him every now an again. “We are just team mates …why do you ask Rosy ?”, looking at her with confusion since apparently you were missing something .
”Well he has spend more time in the lab and he always looking at you “,she said in a hushed tone trying not to draw attention . Looking at like she was crazy since Bucky always had agents tripping over themselves to get his attention.” listen trust me there is nothing going on between us. you know me I don’t date coworkers all that leads to is a mess”, you reassure her since Rosy really hoped that was all it was .
It was driving Bucky crazy that he was so attracted to you and didn’t know what to do about it . He had tried to stay away from you or tried to avoid any interaction with you. Bucky needed to get a hold of this before he lost it . He did notice the confused or sad looks on your face . when you guys didn’t hang out anymore or rarely spoke . Bucky would come up with some excuse not wanting to training or going to get lunch . After a while Y/S just stopped asking or didn’t interact with him at all unless it was on a mission . So he did the one thing that would bring him comfort talking to Steve. So he knocked on his door Steve was shocked to see Bucky there but let him in .
“So what is on your mind Buck? “ Steve looked at his friend .”It’s Agent Knightroad ….are we sure she is human ?”, Steve looked at his friend thinking about the question.”yeah I’m pretty sure she is buddy why?”, So Bucky came clean about being attracted to her and not able to stop himself from being around even for a moment. Steve noticed that Bucky had become protective over her while on missions even when other Alphas were around . Steve just thought maybe Bucky just felt a need to protect like a big brother kind of way not as a love interest. Steve also wondered if Hydras experiments had messed with some of his alpha scenery.Steve also noticed that they weren’t hanging around anymore and wondered why. Steve decided not get involved since it never effect missions.
To comfort his friend Steve was going to Tony about the possibility of you not being human . In hops of keep Bucky from losing his mind . Rosy had asked you for a blood sample since she had taken other blood samples to compare against an experiment she was working on . Rosy used some of your sample to run on its own But your sample didn’t go with the her experiment. Rosy would get weird results that shouldn’t happen that’s why she wanted to break down your sample .
Tony had told Steve he would do some digging on Agent Y/N Knightroad to see if there was anything that didn’t make sense . Tony known you grow up in the foster system an you were dropped off there with out any information of who your parents were. It was going to be difficult to try to see if you were anything but human . Since their kind rarely abandon there own pups especially to a human foster system. Y/S didn’t smelled like a beta and he doubted you were a Omega that hasn’t presented like a late bloomer.you have unknowingly been surrounded by Alphas for a long time so it should have happened if it was . Tony did notice that you smelled different from a regular human which was one of the reasons why he hired you .
Rosy was shocked on her discovery of your lab results but ran the test two more times. you were a Omega that’s why her experiment wasn’t working on your samples but something was off . You have shared a dorm room together all through college and you never went into heat nor dated any Alphas. It started to Connect on why Bucky was always looking at you or checking in on you. since his inner Alpha is taking affect and has a need to be around you .But before she would talk to you about a world you didn’t know existed . Let a lone is part of she needed to double check her findings. Rosy had asked Dr.Banner to check her results which came out the same .” So where did you find an Omega sample from ?”,Bruce asked since he was curious there want many omegas in the compound .
Rosy took a deep breath looking at the ground trying to think of what to say. “Dr.Banner do you promise to keep this a secret till I can talk to her ?”,He looked at her with more interested in what his assistant was hinting at . Since he didn’t understand why he would need to keep quiet. “I will agree to keep it quiet but you need to spill “, Bruce countered taking his glasses off his face . Rosy agreed then told him everything about you and that she wasn’t sure how to tell you. Let alone know how you will react to it all plus concerns about a certain alpha. Bruce understand that this was an interesting development but he told Rosy that there had to be a reason why you never presented . Bruce was going to review some of your medical records to see it lies in there.
Y/S was leaving the training area after finishing sparing with Natasha. you couldn’t help to notice a bit mark on her shoulder but it wasn’t the first time you’ve seen a bit mark in the same spot. Rosy mother had the same bit mark on her shoulder . You thought maybe it was some weird sex kink that you would never want to know . since you didn’t want to imagine Rosy’s parents having sex let alone having kinks. Just the thought made you flinch in disgust at the thought . While gathering your things Natasha stood next to you .” So what is going on with you and Sargent Barnes ?” Looking at her since he had been ghosting you lately and wasn’t sure what had happened either .” nothing he has been avoiding me for some reason I don’t know about . so I just talk to him for missions and that’s it “ You answered her Natasha frowned at your answer then shrugged her shoulder .” I thought you two were a good match and would make a cute couple “she countered Natasha left before you could say anything about the matter. You could still see that mark but you couldn’t figure out why you couldn’t take your eyes off of it.
When you left the training area thinking about that mark and what Natasha said to you that caused you to run into a wall of muscle . Looking up to see Captain Rodgers.” Oh I’m so sorry Cap I was lost in my thoughts I didn’t see you there”,Steve smiled down at you but he started to really look at you . He would agree you were easy on the eyes a smell good .So he could see where Bucky would find himself attracted and you were a very nice person also. It is almost cruel that you weren’t an Omega or Beta .
“It’s alright Y/S do you want to talk about anything on your mind? I have some time if you need it .”,the look of horror came across your face . It would be a cold day in hell before you would talk to Steve about sex kinks. Let alone on why Bucky had been ghosting you since that was his best friend . “No! Cap it’s fine nothing to be worried about .“ you said awkwardly trying to get out of this conversation as soon as possible. Before Steve could say anything you were gone and in the elevator trying to hide your face.
Tony was trying to piece out the possibility of you being maybe at least a Beta. But he was running out of options since there was little to go on. So he went down to the lab Tony saw Bruce engrossed in a medical file so sneaking behind him .” what are you looking at Bruce ? “ Scaring the crap out of Bruce he stood up trying to hide the folder .” Nothing just looking into something nothing that you should be worried about”, he tried to throw Tony off while of thinking of something to distract him.
Tony eyed his friend with his hand out signal for Bruce to hand it over .” let me see what you got maybe another set of eyes will be better the one”,Bruce shook his head since he promised Rosy to keep it tight lipped.” Nope I got it so why did you come down here Tony?” , Oh Tony really wanted to know what the little green giant was hiding. Bruce was called by a lab tech about looking over some results and that was Tony’s opening so he grabbed the file that was behind Bruce .
Tony ran with it to the other side of the table like a five year running from a parent . Bruce was on the other side trying to guess which way Tony was going to run. “Come on Tony hand over the file…. It doesn’t concern you “, Bruce said sternly glaring at the man that was acting like a child . Tony opened the file looked at the name was instantly confused on why Bruce had your file . “Why are you interested in Agent Knightroad?”, Tony started looking through the file before Bruce could say anything more .
Then a piece of paper fell from the folder reaching down to grab it . Tony had to brace himself against the table when he saw the results .”She is an Omega? How long have you known? When were you going to say anything ?”, Tony was annoyed about Bruce hiding something like this.Steve was going to go after the two of them for hiding this from the team.
Bruce told Tony everything Rosy told him about you having no idea about their hidden society let a lone finding out she was part of it . Tony understood why Bruce kept this to himself till they found all the answers. Since this will change your life forever and a hard adjustment. Now he had to think of what he will tell Steve since he was waiting to see if there was anything .
Oh he found something alright which well let him know Bucky isn’t losing his mind but not sure how it will play out . “So when were you guys going to drop the bomb on her ? “ ,Tony asked trying to think how long he could stall Steve.”I have to tell Steve something?! Bucky is on pins and needles to figure out what going on with her “, Bruce looked at him before asking the questions.”Why would you have to tell Steve anything? Why is Bucky worried about Y/N?!”, Bruce questioned since he didn’t understand why those two need to know anything.
Tony put his head in his hands after telling Bruce everything Steve said to him about Bucky . both friends didn’t know what they were going to do let alone to say to the Alphas . They sat in silence trying to come up with the best options for such a sticky situation.” I can smell the wood burning boys..what are you guess thinking so hard about ?”,Natasha asked as she walked into the lab .” Nothing “,they both said at the sametime and separating from each other going there separate ways . Nat stood there watching them go in different directions something was going on but didn’t know what .
Tony placed your medical record on his desk thinking about this situation and how you will feel . Steve walked into Tony office hoping for an update but stopped in his tracks looking at Tony. “so what do you have for me ? Did you find anything ?“,Seeing your folder on the desk before Tony grabbed it .Steve had it in his hands looking at him like he was crazy when Tony tried to take it back. Turning his back to Tony as he is trying to snatch the folder from his grasps .” Tony what has gotten into you ?!”Steve asked as opening the folder to see what it is he was trying to hide .
Right on top was your blood results an Steve closed the folder with force and looking at Tony with fustration . “What going on Tony ! How did a Omega get in here unnoticed and let alone get out in the field !”,Steve yelled since omega was so rare and shouldn’t be put into danger. “Well she doesn’t know she is a Omega let alone know about our world”. Tony spoke flatly since this just keeps getting worst. Steve was speechless he didn’t know what to say or where to take that information.
Tony spilled the beans to Steve he had to tell him something so he didn’t go off the deep end . Steve sat there in silence trying to think of the best options . “well she can’t go on missions anymore since that will be too much for the time being. She will need to adjust before going back out . “ They both agreed that is the first action and to let you stay in the lab . Now what to tell Bucky since he needs to know something so he doesn’t feel like he is loosening his mind .
Y/S had a feeling of dread that morning she walked into the lab like something was off . The lab atmosphere was heavy feeling when she walked in to see the lab mostly empty. Only to find Bruce and Rosy talking then suddenly stopped when they saw her.” Good morning guys how is it going ?”, You said while trying to read the two people in front of you . Looking at them weird while putting your stuff away but not turning away from them.
They both greeted you then looked at the floor then back at you then each other . Bruce had looked over Y/N medical records a the reason then was able to see issues. Sadly the reason you haven’t presented was because you were giving Suppressants at a too young of age. So it had slowed the development of your Omega and other things .
Which can be fixed it will be hard on you to start your heats so late .you would have to take a lot of Supplements strength your body to carry pups. Which Bruce informed Rosy that morning before you came in. Now they needed to figure out what to tell you before Bucky found you.
Bruce had told Tony and Steve about his findings which made all the Alpha’s mad that someone did this to a Omega . But the question is why ? What would be the benefit of doing it . Tony had told Steve that he needs to have a conversation with Bucky but everything will be handled carefully . Since that’s the last thing Y/S needed was a bunch of Alphas chasing after her trying to mark her and force her to mate . They all agreed that Bucky will be informed but no one else needs to know informed .
Steve took a deep breath since it had been a couple weeks since Bucky came to him about Y/S. Bucky opened the door , “So I guess you figured something out ?”, Steve nodded his head yes then entered into Buckys room. They both sat down on the couch waiting for one to speak.” Listen Bucky what I’m about to tell you stays here and it can’t go anywhere”,Bucky nodded his head in agreeing with what Steve was about to tell him .Bucky sat there quietly with mixed emotions with relieve and anger when Steve finished.
Bucky had his hands in a fist in his lap but he couldn’t believe what someone did that to you . You were a beauty Omega but the information Steve told him didn’t help. It made Bucky want you more and he was going to have you at some point . He was going to make sure of it . Bucky will have to be patient and wait for the dust to settle before taking you for his own.
You were sitting in Bruce’s office with Bruce and Rosy looking at both of confused . “ Y/N we have something’s to discuss and I want you to know we are here for you… ready to answer any questions you may have “,With a confused look on your face you looked at Rosy tryin to figure out what going on. “Y/N do you know what an Alpha , Beta or Omega is? “, Bruce asked trying to ease you into the topic. “ Like as a wolf pack kind of scenario?”,you questioned Bruce smiled at the reference .”well we are descended from Wolfs but over time we lost the ability to transform into wolfs “, Bruce spoke matter of factly to you . Y/S chunkled a little bit looking at both of them like they are crazy . “I’m a Beta”, Rosy answered then looked over to your friend lost . “an Bruce is an Alpha along with a couple of the other Avengers “, Rosy informed you as it still wasn’t clicking on what they were talking about .
“Why are you telling me this ? What is going on here ?”, Suddenly you had a real uneasy feeling . Rosy grabbed your hand giving a squeeze trying to comfort you some how. “Well your a Omega Y/S ….. Omegas are rare since more Alphas and Betas are born then them”, Bruce explained to you watching your reaction.
Your eyes were about to pop out of your head and feel sick like your going to throw up. “This is all crazy ! I thought those recruits were into some weird kinks and the bit mark on Natasha shoulder “,you shouted then stood running out of the office . you had to get out of there and get outside fast. Rosy and Bruce looked at each other then chased after you they saw you run outside then throw up . the stress must have been too much but it was understandable since it was a lot to take in. Standing by the door giving you minute to collect yourself and let you process . Rosy grabbed a umbrella since it had started to rain you had been sitting out there for a while .
Y/S had not noticed that it had started to rain nor did you cared enough to think about it. Rosy sat next to you covering you too with the umbrella .”you know I remember seeing the bit mark on your mom and just thought your parents had a weird bitting kink “,you said while whipping the tears from your face .
Rosy laugh hard at that since she could see where you thought that. “well I can see how you would think that was odd . That mark you’ve seen those are mate marks .So that’s how you know someone is mated or bonded to each other “, Rosy explained to you softly to clear some confusion . “So like some weird animalic bonding ? “, you were still trying to process all of the information.”Yeah it’s something like that”, Rosy smiled at you then wrapping a arm around you . “Hey we don’t have to figure out everything today why don’t you go inside and relax”, Rosy suggested trying to comfort you plus the rain was really starting to come down.
You both stood up started walking to your room trying to take in everything . Y/S couldn’t help but think the universe just opened up and took a giant shit on her life . You had taken a shower then changed into warmer clothes . When you looked on the nightstand there was books about Omegas an everything you need to know . All you wanted to do is wake up from this nightmare and try to forget the madness of it all .
