Leopardfur's goal was to become deputy of riverclan. that was plain as day to see. she pushed herself constantly and even made sure not to have that many relationships with any other cats to make sure she achieves this goal.
although Leopardfur does have a crush on her best friend, Sunfish. the two she-cats have been close ever since they were kits. although Leopardfur has hooked up with Sunfish a few times she hasn't asked Sunfish to be her mate.
that was partly because of Leopardfur's strive for power and also partly because she knows that there's a chance that Sunfish doesn't love her back. although the two fucked that doesn't mean Sunfish loves her.
stretching Leopardfur got out of the warriors den and let out a yawn. she always woke up early and was planning on catching something. maybe a carp for herself and a trout or something for the fresh-kill pile.
but once Leopardfur left the riverclan camp she ran straight into Sunfish. now Sunfish was rarely up this early so Leopardfur was confused about why she was up.
"Sunfish. is there something wrong? you're never up this early." Leopardfur pointed out.
"well, not exactly." Sunfish nuzzled a carp near Leopardfur. "sit down. we have to talk. although we can share this."
Leopardfur nodded and sat down next to her friend. she had to admit that she was a little scared about what this was about. although at the same time she was also glad to be able to get something to eat. the two ate in silence until Sunfish began to speak.
Sunfish sighed. "Can you promise me that you are not going to be mad?"
that only made Leopardfur get more confused. she leaned forward and put her paw onto Sunfish's. "I won't get mad. I promise."
"I-I'm pregnant with your kits." Sunfish blurted.
Leopardfur's eyes widened. she was a transgender she-cat. she should have most likely pulled out when she mated with Sunfish. yet she didn't. oh, starclan. this was her fault.
Leopardfur wondered what she was going to do. she wasn't going to toss Sunfish aside like a soggy piece of fresh-kill of course. she was going to be with Sunfish and her future kits. but Leopardfur couldn't help but wonder. was Sunfish going to want the same thing?
"you aren't mad of course, right? if you are I understand. I never thought that you wanted to have kits or be a mother." Sunfish pointed out.
Leopardfur realized that she hesitated when replying. what Sunfish said was true. the Bengal she-cat did never want to have kits. mainly because she was focused on her own ambitions. but she wasn't going to turn away Sunfish.
she loves Sunfish after all. and although Leopardfur and Sunfish were fairly new warriors and Leopardfur wanted to focus on being a good warrior she was going to love her and Sunfish's future kits.
"L-Leopardfur?" Sunfish titled her head.
"sorry I hesitated. I was just thinking." Leopardfur admitted. "don't worry. I'm not going to leave you."
"y-you arent?" Sunfish sounded confused.
"of course, I'm not. did you really think that I was that cruel?" Leopardfur titled her head, suddenly cautious about how Sunfish thought of her.
"Of course not. you just don't seem like the type of cat to raise kits." Sunfish pointed out.
"well, I'm not." Leopardfur admitted. "but for you, I am willing to try."
Sunfish blushed. "So. are we going to raise these kits as friends or by chance as mates?"
as Sunfish asked that Leopardfur couldn't help but blush as well. she does love Sunfish and she knows that now Sunfish might love her back. so she might as well confess her love.
"well, I would like it if we could raise these kits as mates." Leopardfur then leaned forward. "I had a crush on you for a while now. but if you don't want to be my mate I understand that."
now Leopardfur had to admit that if Sunfish wasn't going to be her mate then she didn't see the point in raising Sunfish's kits with her.
although Leopardfur of course wasn't going to admit that. because then she was going to seem selfish and cruel. although Leopardfur was a bit of all those things she wasn't going to admit it.
besides, Leopardfur knows that raising kits are going to be hard. she and Sunfish aren't exactly apprentices. but they are young warriors. Leoaprdfur just hopes that she will be able to still become the deputy with kits.
although Leopardfur isn't the one giving birth of course. having to raise kits is still going to end up having to spend time with them.
"don't worry. I love you too." Sunfish smiled and nuzzled Leopardfur. "I'll gladly be your mate."
Leopardfur beamed at that. "do you know when your giving birth or how many kits you are having?"
"no." Sunfish admitted. "I didn't even ask Mudfur yet. although I know that I'm pregnant. it's just a sense."
"how about we ask Mudfur to confirm it?" Leopardfur asked. if Sunfish wasn't really pregnant then this whole conversation would be a waste and Leopardfur's morning would have been wasted.
"sure. do you want to come with me or just wait?" Sunfish asked.
"I'll come with." Leopardfur decided.
the two then headed into the medicine cat den and Mudfur looked up from his herb pile. "Is there something wrong?'
"I think Sunfish is pregnant..." Leopardfur then added hesitantly. "with my kits."
Leopardfur hopes that Mudfur isn't going to be weird about this. but then again he is her father so he most likely will be.
Mudfur smiled. "congratulations. I can't wait to be a grandfather." Mudfur purred before looking Sunfish over.
"Sunfish is indeed pregnant." Mudfur declared.
"When will my kits be due?" Sunfish asked.
"how many are there?" Leopardfur asked.
"So many questions." Mudfur laughed. "I think she's going to have around two kits. and she should give birth in five moons. she just got pregnant a bit ago it seemed."
Leopardfur nodded. "Thank you," she said, leaving the den alongside her mate.
"No problem," Mudfur said, going back to his herb pile.
once she left the medicine cat den Leopardfur sighed. she knows that raising kits is hard and she doesn't really want to do it. but at least she's doing it alongside Sunfish.
