Kid smirked. The night's heist had gone well, very well. He'd gotten away with the target easily. Said target had also already been returned to it's owner not long after it'd been missing long enough for the heist to be considered to be valid. Returning things too soon seemed to make the inspector think that he'd won, so Kaito liked to make sure that he held the targets for at least a certain amount of time. It wouldn't do for the inspector to think he'd beaten him after all, not at all!

Though Kid was somewhat reluctant to admit that his ease in stealing tonight's target had been due to the absence of both of his detectives. A win's a win though, so it still pleased the thief that he'd succeeded.

Shinichi's absence at his heist was understandable. The sleuth had already made plans for Osaka long before he'd sent out the heist notice. So Kid felt like he could be lenient when it came to him. Saguru however? Nope. The blond had had absolutely no prior obligations to anything, and he hadn't even tried to make any. The jerk had just decided to not show up! How rude...

Kid was not pleased, his detectives made his heists more enjoyable than they usually were. Saguru would have to pay for ditching him! So many fun tricks had gone unused due to his friend's sudden choice to ditch him. That was why Kid was currently creeping up on the blond's house. Slipping through the window was easy.

Saguru sighed, tired from the hectic day that he'd had. His father had randomly decided to transfer an ungodly amount of case files to him, forcing him to sort them into different digital folders within other digital folders to seemingly no end. Thankfully it'd only seemed like there'd be no end, he did actually end up finishing his task. It had just taken him a great amount of time to do so.

Now that the blond was no longer overwhelmed by the sudden onslaught of paperwork, Saguru couldn't help but feel annoyed and maybe slightly angry at his father. He'd wanted to go to the Kid heist. It was too late now though. The heist was undoubtedly already over by now, especially since the thief's only opponents would consist of the Kaitou Kid task force.

So since he was too mentally exhausted to go confront his father, he decided to do something that'd relax him. He rarely used it, but sometimes just relaxing was nice. Smiling softly, Saguru reached under his bed to get his required item.

Kid was grinning as he lingered outside Saguru's window. The blond's light was out, but Kid knew that it was much too early for his friend to actually be asleep. He knew this trick. Sometimes Saguru kept his light off in an attempt to trick him into thinking that he was already asleep! He'd done it before.

That was fine, it just meant that he'd have a better opportunity to startle the other! Kid silently unlocked Saguru's window. The blond really shouldn't have bothered with it, it wasn't really an obstacle to him. It was also on the second floor so it wasn't even an ideal window in the eyes of more traditional thieves.

The curtain was drawn to a close, allowing the thief to use it to mask his shadow. When he stuck his head out from behind the curtain, Kid froze. His mischievous grin falling into a blank face. He let out an accidental squeak, Saguru was naked!

While quiet, the squeak jolted Saguru's attention towards the thief, institutionally throwing the item that he'd been holding as the blood drained from his face. Kid automatically grabbed it before disappearing.

"Dear lord..." Saguru buried his face in his hands, mortified. He forced himself to shake away his mortification and put on some night clothes before burying himself under his blankets on his bed. Face burning, Saguru decided that he was not going to go to school the next day. His only saving grace was that he'd yet to actually start anything before the thief had arrived.

Kaito stared at the item that he'd accidentally stolen with wide eyes. His cheeks burned a the thought of returning it. Returning it would mean that he'd have to acknowledge what he'd seen, what he'd walked into. The magician wasn't sure if he'd be able to do that. But he couldn't just keep it! That would be weird, maybe even creepy. He liked being creepy, but not that kind of creepy.

Once he'd realized what he'd been holding, he'd dropped it as if it'd caught fire and burned him. Thankfully the item had been cool and dry, most likely clean. Kaito shivered at the thought of him arriving later when said item hadn't been clean. Okay, that was gross. He wasn't going to think about that any longer.

The magician dropped a cloth on it then picked it up using said cloth, he then wrapped it until it was covered with some scarves that he wouldn't want back. Frowning, Kaito wrapped the item until it no longer kept its shape.

Okay, now he could return it... Maybe while Saguru was at school tomorrow. He was too embarrassed to see his friend's face tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow would work.

Skipping school had really been a good idea Saguru decided. He was snuggled up in bed, reading a new mystery novel that'd just come out. It was good, even if he'd already deduced who the culprit would be. He was facing the window, so it was easy to spot Kaito's arrival.

Not a word was said as wide Indigos met gold, the only sound was the magician letting out another squeak before throwing something at Saguru's head and bolting. By the time Saguru was able to register what'd happened, Kaito was already gone.

Like the previous night, Saguru buried his face in his hands. He should have realized that Kaito would have skipped school as well. Sighing, Saguru dragged himself out of his bed, placing the wrapped package under his bed. He'd deal with it later, when he wasn't embarrassed. At least his friend had looked horrified as well.
