Let's Go Get Stoned

Summary:

Hank rubbed a hand down his face and then remembered the point of the conversation. “So you want me to buy you some overpriced android weed, then?”

Connor’s LED settled on blue and he gave Hank a soft, barely-there smile. “It is something I am rather…curious about.”

*

AKA: CyberLife creates weed for androids and Connor wants to get high with Hank.

Notes:

I've been wanting to write Hank and Connor getting stoned together for the longest time, and I finally cranked something out!

Title is based on a Sublime song title.

This is not beta'd.

I hope you all enjoy my HankCon weed fic <3

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Connor was acting weird.

Over the past few days, his LED spiraled on yellow more often than not. It was accompanied by a faraway look in his eyes — that same look he got when he was researching something so deeply that he was unaware of his surroundings. Well, he probably wasn’t that unaware, being an android and all, but that’s what it seemed like to Hank.

When he wasn’t researching, he kept looking at Hank for long moments with one perfect eyebrow raised ever-so-slightly and his mouth slightly ajar. It was like he wanted to ask him something but couldn’t settle on what to say.

The two were sitting on the couch after a long day of work, and Connor kept glancing at Hank while a basketball game played quietly on the TV. Hank decided that he couldn’t focus on basketball for a second longer before finding out what the hell what up with this android.

“What?” Hank snapped rather unkindly. He fixed Connor with a glare, but Connor only looked at him curiously, completely unphased by his outburst.

“I need you to be more specific, Lieutenant.”

“You’re actin’ weird!”

Connor raised his eyebrow a fraction. He really had perfected the innocent look, puppy-dog eyes and all.

“You keep staring at me and not sayin’ anything,” Hank accused, crossing his arms. “And when you’re not staring, you look like you’re lost in thought or…I don’t know. Like you’re constantly sending reports or doing research or somethin’.”

Connor blinked once and then said, “Oh.” His expression changed from innocent to almost guilty. Hank didn’t even need to ask before he explained himself. “Your observations are correct. I have been extensively researching a new, thirium-based tetrahydrocannabinol plant that CyberLife has been developing. It has undergone many tests by the University of Michigan and has just been approved for android consumption by the state.”

“Huh?” Hank asked, dumbfounded. Then, his eyebrows furrowed even more than usual. “Did you say cannabis?”

“Tetrahydrocannabinol. Cannabis for short, yes.” Connor’s LED stayed at a calming blue.

“Weed for androids!” Hank shook his head in disbelief and took a long sip of his beer.

Connor flicked his eyes down to watch how Hank’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down. He wasn’t sure why, but he was becoming more and more aware of all Hank’s behaviors. He had an inexplicable desire to learn and catalog everything about the man.

“So are you gonna try it?” Hank asked, and Connor flicked his eyes back up. His LED flashed yellow as he answered.

“It’s being sold at the nearest CyberLife store.”

“That doesn’t answer my question.”

“It’s expensive.”

“That still doesn’t — ”

“Yes, I’d like to try it.” Connor ended the sentence like he was going to say more. Instead, he just stared at Hank while his LED circled on yellow.

“Ok? Then try it,” Hank said, shrugging as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Connor blinked and looked past Hank. “The state of Michigan is still in the process of establishing android rights. Although I technically work for the DPD, it’s not official and I’m not on any sort of payroll.”

What? ” Hank sat up, clanking his beer bottle down on the coffee table. “The revolution was months ago! You’re tellin’ me you haven’t gotten a single dollar from the DPD? And you’re tellin’ me they legalized android weed before they legalized android pay?!”

“That is correct.”

“Jesus. That’s fucked up. I’m talkin’ to Fowler first thing tomorrow.” Hank rubbed a hand down his face and then remembered the point of the conversation. “So you want me to buy you some overpriced android weed, then?”

Connor’s LED settled back on blue and he gave Hank a soft, barely-there smile. “It is something I am rather…curious about.”

Hank chuckled, mumbling something fondly about “fuckin’ android weed” while pulling out his phone to look up when the nearest CyberLife store closed.

“Alright. You’re positive that this shit is safe? It’s not gonna make you, like…shut down?” Hank asked, and Connor nodded. “Whaddya say we pick some up on our way home from work on Friday?” Hank had no objections about splurging a little to indulge the android’s curiosity. He was rather curious himself about seeing a stoned Connor.

“That would be very kind of you, Lieutenant,” Connor said genuinely as if Hank had offered him something much more sincere and heartwarming than just some weed. “May I request one more thing?”

“Me first. Stop calling me Lieutenant when we’re at home. It’s Hank.”

“My apologies, Hank.”

Connor knew that Hank had told him this before. He was an android; he didn’t forget anything. He just liked it when Hank told him to call him by his name. It made a warm, soft feeling bloom deep in his biocomponents.

“I was hoping,” Connor began carefully, “that you would…indulge. With me.”

“I thought you said that stuff was approved for android consumption.”

“What I mean is that you would indulge in cannabis made for humans while I indulged in cannabis made for androids.”

Hank stared at him incredulously.

“There is a dispensary three blocks from the CyberLife store.”

Hank’s mouth opened and closed, but no words came out.

“Several recent studies have found that marijuana consumption is a healthier alternative to alcohol consumption.”

Hank scoffed, but not in an unfriendly way. More in a ‘I can’t believe this android is promoting me using federally illegal substances’ sort of way. He reached forward to snatch his beer up and take a sip.

“Fine. I’ll smoke weed with you,” Hank said, barely believing that this was an actual sentence coming out of his mouth, directed at Connor of all people.

Connor beamed like a kid on Christmas morning and Hank rolled his eyes, hiding a smile as he turned his attention back to the basketball game.

*

The next day at work, Connor pretended to work diligently at his desk while Hank’s angry voice echoed from Captain Fowler’s office. Fowler had very little, if any, control over androids getting paid; it was all still being discussed by the state. Regardless, Connor’s thirium pump beat a little bit faster knowing Hank was vehemently fighting for his rights.

*

“So it’s like…an edible?”

The two were sitting in Hank’s car in the CyberLife store parking lot. Hank had clicked on the overhead light so they could examine their freshly purchased, small bottle of a shiny blue liquid.

Connor’s LED circled on yellow as he researched the methods of ingesting weed. “It appears to be, yes. The instructions are to drink five to ten milligrams orally, and then the effects will become noticeable after one to two hours.”

Hank hummed and clicked the overhead light off. They drove the three blocks to get to the dispensary and Hank went in and out of the store as fast as he could. He bought the first bottle of edible THC gummies that he saw.

He was very much looking forward to getting high for the first time in, well. Probably over ten years. He had been so focused on alcohol during those years and he had pretty much forgotten that cannabis was legal in Michigan, let alone that it existed at all.

Once they got home, Hank set their substances on the coffee table and went to open the bottle of gummies.

“Lieutenant,” Connor started, and Hank shot him a glare. “Hank,” Connor corrected, a small smirk on his face, “I think it would be best if you eat something first. Consumption of cannabis on an empty stomach may cause an intense high, like extreme anxiety and paranoia. Considering you have not eaten since lunchtime and have not used the drug in many years — ”

“Alright,” Hank interrupted, setting the bottle of gummies down. He learned it was easiest to just do things Connor’s way unless he wanted his ear talked off with logic and scientific facts. “I’ll heat up some leftover pizza from yesterday. Happy?”

“Yes, Hank.” Connor fixed the human with a genuinely content look, and Hank quickly walked into the kitchen to hide the way his face flushed at Connor’s approval. He never fully understood why this android was so concerned with his health and well-being, but he had to admit it was nice. Plus, he’d be lying if he said the sentiments weren’t reciprocated.

Hank devoured a few slices of pizza, mildly surprised that Connor didn’t start spouting some nutritional facts about the high sodium content or whatever. Instead, he sat patiently at the kitchen table with Hank, his gaze curiously wandering to their substances on the coffee table.

“Ok. Let’s go get stoned,” Hank said after setting his plate of crumbs in the sink. Connor nodded and the two went to sit on the couch.

Hank picked up the bottle of blue liquid and read the directions.

“How much of this are you gonna try?”

“I suppose I’ll start out with the smaller serving suggestion of five milligrams. If I don’t feel any effects within two hours, I can take more.”

“Good idea,” Hank said, handing the bottle to Connor. The android’s eyes were wide as he stared at the drug, looking like he couldn’t decide whether to be excited or nervous. “You still wanna do this?”

“Yes,” Connor responded quickly. “I’m just…not sure what to expect. I’ve never tried a mind-altering substance.”

Hank nodded as he grabbed his bottle of gummies and inspected the milligram content of each piece. “If it’s anything like regular weed, the worst thing that’ll happen is that you might panic and existentially freak out,” he told the android honestly. He tried to imagine what it would be like for Connor to have an existential crisis, but he could not picture it. “You just gotta remember that you’re, y’know. Safe and whatever.” He cleared his throat and added hesitantly, “You just gotta remember that I’m here and I won’t — I would never let anything bad happen to ya. ‘Kay?”

A soft smile took over Connor’s features and he seemed to relax a bit. “Okay.”

They each took five milligrams of their respective edible and Hank turned on the TV so they could watch a rerun of a random game show while they waited for the high to kick in. After about an hour of flipping through the channels and idle chatter, Connor grew unsurprisingly impatient. The android was never good at sitting and doing nothing for long periods of time (except for when he was in stasis, of course).

“I’m going to take more,” he announced, reaching forward for the bottle.

“It’s only been an hour,” Hank said, amused.

“My biocomponents appear to have finished processing the cannabis, yet I don’t feel any different.”

“Maybe the effects are going to kick in an hour after you finish processing it,” Hank suggested, although he honestly knew nothing about how android weed worked.

“I would like to take more,” Connor said adamantly, but he still looked at Hank as if asking for permission.

Hank made a gesture at him as if saying “Go for it, don’t let me stop you.” He watched Connor drink five more milligrams and shrugged to himself, reaching forward and eating another gummi himself.

After about another half hour of the two watching a sitcom that Hank didn’t recognize, neither of them was feeling any sort of effect yet. If Hank were being honest, he just felt a bit more sleepy than usual. He had his elbow on the armrest of the couch with his face propped in his hand, and he felt himself slowly drift into the beginnings of sleep.

Connor became increasingly aware of the god-awful laugh track that was played after every poorly written joke in the sitcom. He looked at the remote and then to Hank who appeared to be asleep. Connor decided to run a quick scan on him.

His vision shifted into his scanning-the-environment mode. He had never really thought about this feature in-depth — how androids could stop time and analyze their surroundings, something humans were incapable of doing. Well, it wasn’t exactly that androids could stop time, but their processors worked so fast that it appeared instantaneous to humans.

Hank recently realized how often Connor was scanning him to check his vitals and general health and whatnot, and it annoyed him.

“How the fuck do you always know my blood pressure levels?” Hank had drunkenly asked him a few weeks ago as Connor was helping him get to the bathroom before he vomited somewhere that wasn’t the toilet. “Are you…Have you been analyzing me?! That’s such an invasion of privacy, ya fuckin’ piece of plastic!”

Connor hadn’t taken the insult personally. He had known the hard-boiled, eccentric police lieutenant long enough to ignore his drunken jabs.

After Hank caught on about how much Connor scanned him, Connor tried to cut back on it. Well, not really. But he figured out how to scan the lieutenant when he would be least likely to notice. Like when he slept, for example. Like now.

As he scanned his vitals, he noticed that his own analysis tools were almost…lagging. Hank’s vitals popped up on his HUD much slower than usual.

He relaxed slightly when everything came back normal, apart from a slightly heightened heart rate. He continued idly looking over Hank after he exited his scanning-the-environment mode.

He could tell that the lieutenant had recently trimmed his beard. It was perfectly shaped and groomed, and Connor wondered what it would feel like if he ran his fingers through it. His face looked uncharacteristically peaceful and serene with his unfurrowed brows and relaxed features. Some of his face was obscured by his long, silvery hair. Before Connor thought twice, he reached over and brushed Hank’s hair back, noting how soft it was, and tucked it behind one ear.

Much better, he thought to himself as Hank’s face became unhidden.

Hank stirred and blinked open his bloodshot, glossy eyes. “Hm? Con?” he mumbled, looking at the android with an unfocused gaze.

“Hello, Hank,” Connor greeted. “Have you ever thought about wearing your hair in a bun? It would be long enough to do so. You have an optimal-shaped head to pull off the look very well.”

Hank’s brow furrowed and he stared at him for a long, long moment. “I have…an optimal-shaped head?”

“For a bun, yes. For any hairstyle really. Can we change the channel or perhaps put on some music?” Connor asked, looking at the TV in mild annoyance when yet another laugh track sounded.

Hank blinked at him and then huffed out a breath, a behavior that Connor learned was a lazy laugh. When he leaned forward to grab the remote, Connor’s hand fell from his shoulder.

Connor stared at his hand as it dropped down to his own lap, completely unaware that he had had it resting on Hank’s shoulder in the first place.

Hank didn’t seem to notice either as he shut off the TV and stood up to put on a record. Connor watched as he picked up his Autumn Blues record and then just…stared at it for a while.

“Hank?”

“Huh? Oh, yeah.” Hank shook his head a bit, looking like he just remembered what he was doing. He fumbled a bit with the record player before soft jazz began to play. As he plopped back down on the couch, he gave Connor a goofy smile. “I think I’m pretty stoned. Are you stoned?”

Connor scanned the environment just to see if it was still lagging, and it was, even more than before. It felt like an eternity switching between his regular mode and his scanning mode. He also felt unfamiliarly heavy, like his body just wanted to melt right into the couch. Luckily, he didn’t feel any existential dread that Hank warned him about. Instead, he just felt like his usual curiosity levels were heightened. He still couldn’t shake his wonder about what it would be like to run his fingers through Hank’s beard…

“I think I am…experiencing some…mind-altering effects,” Connor said, a bit slower than he would normally talk.

Hank burst out in a fit of giggles that Connor had never heard from him before. The android watched the human, entranced, as he continued laughing for a few minutes. Connor couldn’t help but smile himself. There was no greater satisfaction he felt than when Hank was genuinely happy.

“You look high,” Hank said, wiping tears from his eyes. “Your eyes are — they’re all puffy and red.”

Connor scanned his own body and confirmed that it was a normal side-effect of the drug. He wasn’t sure what the purpose of looking high was, but if he were being honest, his eyes feeling more droopy and heavy really did add to the high effect he was already experiencing.

“Your beard looks very nice,” Connor blurted out, unable to stop himself from saying the main thought in his mind. “Can I touch it?”

Hank looked at him like he had grown two heads, but he shrugged lazily. “Uh…why would you want to — I mean — sure, I guess?”

As soon as Connor got permission, he scooted closer to the man so that their legs were touching and threaded his fingers into the wiry hair on Hank’s chin. He slowly ran his fingers up and down each cheek, from one sideburn to the other, watching how Hank’s already-flushed face turned a deeper shade of scarlet. Connor flicked his eyes up from Hank’s beard to his soft, gray-blue gaze. He was suddenly very aware of how close their faces were.

“You have 29,420 hairs in your beard,” Connor stated.

Hank burst into another fit of deep, booming laughs. Connor’s hand stayed put on his face, holding the side of his face in the palm of his hand, feeling how his cheek became more pronounced as he smiled. He also became extremely aware of Hank’s hand coming up to gently grasp at his wrist.

“You’re making that up,” Hank said once his laughs calmed down. “I don’t have whatever-thousand-and-420 hairs in my beard.”

Connor ran his fingers through his beard again in the exact same way he did before. Hank’s hand dropped from his wrist and rested on Connor’s thigh as he did this, and Connor’s thirium pump suddenly worked twice as fast.

“I have recounted and you do in fact have 29,420 hairs in your beard,” Connor reiterated. Then, his LED pulsed yellow for a few moments as he did some slower-than-normal research. When his LED changed back to a calm blue, he announced his findings to Hank. “420 is a number associated with cannabis consumption.”

Hank’s hand squeezed ever-so-slightly on his thigh as he let out a few more soft chuckles. He fixed Connor with a stoned, fond look. “You don’t even know how cute you are.”

Connor took way too long for his liking to process what Hank just said. Once he did, he wasted no time in closing the space in between them and inexpertly pressing his lips to Hank’s.

Kissing Hank was something Connor had thought about doing again and again before this moment. He had become curious about kissing and intimacy shortly after his deviancy, as it was something he had never experienced. When he thought about who he might want to experience it with, his mind always ended up on none other than Hank.

Hank had known him at his worst, and he had known Hank at his worst. There was no one else Connor felt this much affection for. Hank had no one else closer in his life than Connor. It seemed obvious to the android that eventually, their relationship would be taken to the next step.

He had preconstructed all the ways he could experience more intimacy with Hank, starting with kissing. It became such an obsessive focus of his that he came up with a probability equation that measured how likely it was that Hank would reciprocate the feelings.

As of this evening, the probability that Hank reciprocated romantic feelings toward Connor was at 98%.

Connor had never kissed anyone before. The kiss the two were sharing now was chaste and simple, but the millions of sensors in Connor’s lips were lighting up. He wasn’t even sure if he was doing it right, but god it felt right. The sensors on his waist were firing up too, as Hank’s hand shifted from his thigh to his waist. Everything felt intense, probably heightened by the cannabis consumption, but Connor wanted more. His hands gripped at Hank’s shoulders tightly. He wanted to be as close as he could be to Hank. He wanted to touch every part of Hank. He wanted every inch of their bodies to be pressed together just to know what it felt like. He wanted —

Oh.

Hank pushed him away.

They separated with Hank’s hands pushing at Connor’s chest, but Connor still held firmly onto his shoulders. He stared at Hank with wide eyes as his LED pulsed quickly on yellow, trying to understand what just happened.

How could he have gotten this so wrong? Every time Hank gazed at him like he was the only person in the world, every time Hank let his hand rest on the small of his back for much longer than necessary, every time Hank called him cute like he just did — Did Connor imagine it all? He supposed there was a 2% chance he did in fact misread everything but… how? How could he have miscalculated this badly?

“You look like you’re going to cry,” Hank said, breathless, sounding like he was on the edge of some sort of emotion himself.

“I might,” Connor said quietly, honestly. His hands tightened on Hank’s shoulders. “You — you don’t…want this? You don’t want…me?”

“No!” Hank exclaimed. Connor looked down so Hank couldn’t see his face crumple as the probability in his HUD quickly dropped from 98% to 18%. He went to take his hands off Hank’s shoulders but Hank grabbed them before he could pull away. “No, I mean — yes! God, I — you’re just — did you only do that because you’re high and not thinking clearly or — ?”

Connor had never heard Hank stumble over his words so much. The probability percent was fluctuating rapidly, and Connor felt equal parts confused and hopeful.

“I have spent the past month preconstructing over a thousand ways that you and I could start a romantic relationship,” Connor said, his gaze still downcast and his voice uncharacteristically unsteady. He could feel his biocomponents working double-time to try to calm himself down. Now he knew what Hank was talking about with the anxiety and paranoia creeping up on him, greatly intensified by the cannabis. “I am still experiencing effects from the cannabis but I — I’ve always wanted to kiss you. High or not. Perhaps…I should have realized that you might not want this.”

“I do want this,” Hank said earnestly, using one of his thumbs to stroke the android’s hand gently. Connor was hyper-aware of this gesture. “I’m just surprised, that's all. And, uh, pretty stoned. I didn’t know you wanted this. Jesus, of course I want you!”

The probability percent stayed at a solid 100% and Connor finally lifted his gaze. His LED slowly changed back to a solid blue.

Hank was holding onto his hands like he was scared the android was about to flee. His eyes, though stoned and tired-looking, were giving Connor that look. The one filled with affection and desire, like Connor was the most beautiful, most perfect person in the world. Connor could only hope that his gaze conveyed the same thing to the human.

“Can we try that again?” Hank asked.

Connor smiled and nodded, letting the human lean in this time.

Now that the uncertainty was out of the air, Connor let himself indulge completely. He followed Hank’s lead, learning quickly how to move his lips in tandem with the human’s. Hank’s hands released Connor’s and went back to hold his waist gently. Connor’s hands were not as gentle as he tangled his fingers in Hank’s long, silver hair.

Connor’s HUD was overwhelmed by the amount of information coming in from everywhere his body touched Hank’s. The weed was still coursing through his blue blood, causing everything to be more intense but making him feel lazy in his movements at the same time. He tried his best to document everything about how Hank kissed, how Hank held him, what Hank’s tongue felt like against his own, but he had to admit it was easier to just let himself be in the moment of feeling Hank.

If things went the way he hoped they went, there would be plenty of opportunities for him to document moments like this in the future.

Neither of them was entirely sure when it happened, but Connor ended up straddling Hank’s lap, pressing himself as close to the human as possible. When Hank pulled away from Connor to instead kiss his neck, Connor opened his heavy eyes and shifted back slightly so he could grab at Hank’s chest.

He knew that Hank’s body was soft and fat, but it was a whole other experience to feel it beneath his fingers.

“Oh,” the android said softly as he began grabbing handfuls of fat on Hank’s chest.

Hank pulled away from attempting to suck a bruise into his neck (it didn’t work, but Connor made a note to look into possible updates to install to make it happen). He looked down at where Connor’s hands were kneading and squeezing his body.

“What — ” he started, his face flushing as he realized how focused Connor was on his body.

“I love your body,” Connor said before Hank could say anything. “I love — ” He cut himself off, figuring it would be best to save what he was going to say for when they were both sober. He continued grabbing at Hank’s body despite the man’s obvious embarrassment. “You’re so beautiful. Everything about you — I want to — I want to know every part of you. I want — ”

It was hard for the android to grasp the right words to say when he was so distracted and high. He wanted the human to know how much he felt for him and how obsessed he was with everything about him.

Connor squeezed the fat on Hank’s chest a bit harder just to see how the man would react. What he got in return was an unexpected, broken moan. The android squeezed again even harder, and the noise Hank made was nearly a whimper, his hands coming to grasp at Connor’s wrists.

“Why are you — ”

“You’re so soft,” Connor said reverently. His half-closed eyes were glassy as he stared at where his hands grabbed at Hank’s chest. “It would make me very content to do this all day.”

Hank huffed out a laugh of disbelief. In a sarcastic, almost defensive tone he said, “Yeah I’m sure groping my old, flabby tits really gets you going.”

“It does.”

Hank’s retort died on his tongue when he looked up into the android’s intense, albeit still slightly stoned eyes.

“It does,” Connor repeated, letting his hands roam lower to grasp at the fat on his stomach. “You’re so…” He ended his sentence with a soft hum as he squeezed and explored Hank’s big, soft stomach.

“Fuckin’ weird piece of plastic,” Hank said, his breathy tone not quite fitting his words.

“Yeah,” Connor sighed, holding onto Hank’s love handles as he leaned back in for an unhurried kiss.

The two made out softly and languidly for a little while longer before Hank let out a deep sigh and pulled away.

“I think I’m gonna pass out soon, baby,” he said sleepily, his eyes closed as he rested his forehead against the android’s. His hands were clasped behind Connor’s back, his upper arms resting on the android’s thighs. Connor never wanted to leave his embrace.

Connor’s eyes widened a fraction at the name ‘baby’ and he made sure to save this moment in his memory. He hoped to rA9 that this was not the first and last time Hank ever called him that. Just in case it was, he made sure to back up the file in his memory so that he’d have it forever.

“You could — would you want to — um…” Hank’s tired eyes opened up and he was looking everywhere but Connor’s eyes.

“Yes, Hank?”

“If you want you could…I don’t know. You don’t have to, obviously, but…y’know…my bed’s big enough for the two of us and I’m sure it’s more comfortable than the couch so if you wanted to — I don’t know. You could — whatever. I don’t know.” The sentence came out very quick and unsure and Connor did not miss how the human’s heart rate skyrocketed despite how tired he was.

“I would like to sleep in your bed,” Connor said. “With you,” he added, just in case that wasn’t clear.

It was not lost on him how Hank cared for his comfort despite stasis not necessarily requiring comfort. Connor could go into stasis standing up if he needed to. But he must admit, being in a bed with Hank sounded much nicer.

“M’kay,” Hank said, letting some tension leak out of his body with a yawn. He tapped on Connor’s thigh while giving him another lazy kiss. “You’re gonna have to get up at some point,” he grumbled, not unkindly.

After a few final kisses, the two made their way to the bedroom, but not before Connor forced Hank to brush his teeth and get dressed in pajamas. By that point in the evening, both of their highs were dissipating and they were mostly just feeling groggy.

While Hank was brushing his teeth, Connor stood behind him, pulling his hair back into a messy bun.

“This is a very nice look,” Connor commented, hooking his head over Hank’s shoulder to look at him in the mirror. “Very nice.”

Hank grumbled, unsure, unable to respond anyway with his toothbrush in his mouth.

Connor smiled kindly and took the bun out. He would have plenty of time to preconstruct all the ways he could convince him otherwise. Plus, if Connor were being honest, Hank would look good in any hairstyle.

Connor got dressed in an oversized t-shirt and sweatpants that Hank had given him a while ago. Connor didn’t really see the point in it — androids didn’t sweat in stasis as humans did in their sleep — but he accepted the clothes anyway so that Hank’s gesture was appreciated.

The two climbed into bed and Hank fit himself flush against Connor’s back, one strong arm wrapped securely around the android. Less than a minute later, Connor smiled as he heard tiny snores and felt warm breath on his neck.

I could get used to this, Connor thought happily right before he shifted into stasis, content and secure in Hank’s warm embrace. The final thought he had before he was truly out for the night was, Hank and I need to get high together much more often.

Notes:

You may have noticed that Sumo is nowhere to be found in this fic... I realized way too late that I forgot to write him in!! Sorry Sumo!! Maybe he is sleeping quietly in a corner? Maybe Gavin and Nines are dog-sitting him? Who knows...

Thanks for reading! Kudos & comments always appreciated <3
