Chapter Text
“You are banned from the daycare! Security alert! WHOO WHOO!” Sunny yelled, slamming the door Gregory’s face.
“Gregory, over here, quickly.” Freddy whispered behind him.
Gregory whipped around to see Freddy standing right behind him. Running towards the bear, Gregory dove into Freddy’s chest cavity. That dumb sun guy was loud and must have alerted everyone in the place.
Freddy’s chest closed. Gregory let out a sigh of relief. Finally feeling safe now that he was hidden within Freddy’s chest. Gregory was about to thank him before a clang and a shake stopped him.
“Ugh, watch it Fazbear.” Monty growled.
Freddy had spun around to leave the area but had run straight into Montgomery.
“Oh, I am sorry Monty…” Freddy started to say.
“Shut it. You have a lot of nerve running into me after tonight. You ruined the show! If it were up to me, you’d be sitting in a dumpster by now.” Monty poked one of his claws into Freddy’s chest, the finger moving down slowly, creating a scratch in the metal “Better watch yourself or next thing you know I’ll be the new face of this place.” Monty removed his hand from Freddy to lower his glasses to glare right at the bear.
Freddy glanced away from the intense stare. “I am sorry, I do not know what happened. There was an error with my programing. I am sure it will not happen again.”
“It better not.” Monty started to circle Freddy. “What are you even doing here?”
“Looking for that missing child. The same as you, I am sure.” Freddy said, starting to get nervous.
“Yea. Whatever. Maybe you should just stay out of the way, with you malfunctioning and all.” Monty walked past Freddy, hitting the other’s shoulder with his as he stalked away. The gator glanced back a few times, clearly suspicious of Freddy.
Once Monty was out of sight, Freddy made a beeline for the exit. That had been too close. Freddy started to make his way back to the charging station with the top of the hour approaching. Hurrying in case anyone else tried to stop him.
“Monty doesn’t seem to like you too much.” Gregory’s voice echoed in his chest.
“Oh no. We are friends. I am sure he is just… stressed from the show tonight. It did not go well.” Freddy replied, a hint of sadness in his voice.
“I don’t think I would talk to my friends like that… but what would I know.” Gregory replied. “How come you apologize so much?”
“What do you mean?”
“Like…whenever we run into a problem you always apologize for it and just now with Monty. You didn’t ruin the show on purpose. You don’t need to apologize for it.” Gregory huffed.
“I…”
“And don’t say you’re sorry!” Gregory cut Freddy off.
“…I will try to work on it.” Freddy opened the recharge station to hop in just as the lights cut out.
