Xmas fics

Summary:

I don't feel like listing them all separate and I'm sick while tending to a sick child, so take it heathens with or without tags. Love you dweebs. Except LB, she's a wench.

Notes:

This one is for Sanny and Acid, some fluff instead of the usual suffering I give them.

Chapter 1: SaltedWine

Chapter Text

Wine had been gone to another base for the past month now, the house felt so empty without him there. Pickles kept Salt company though, she snuggled up with him in bed anytime he was feeling lonely and even licking his face. It always made him laugh a little, to think that anyone ever thought this cat was anything but sweet was a foreign thought to him and Wine. She was every bit as loving as a cat could be, and when Wine video called Salt she was always there in his lap. Pawing at the screen to try and get to Wine, Salt hugged her close. “We both miss you, can’t wait until you get home.” Salt told him with a sad smile, it would be another week without him but they would be alright. He and Pickles had each other, Wine didn’t have anyone but he knew once he got home all three of them would be together again. Just as they should be, they said their good byes and he hung up. Stroking Pickles head as he sat there a while longer looking at the blank screen, sighing softly. “C’mon Pickles, let’s get ready for bed.” He told her softly, earning a purr from the old cat.

The next week passed by slowly as expected for the both of them but eventually it was time for Wine to come home, he couldn’t bring Pickles to the airport so Salt went alone to wait for him. Standing at the glass window where his plane was supposed to land and he would leave. Salt’s soul was pounding in his chest, it had been five long weeks since he’d been in the arms of the monster he loved so dearly. The time where he didn’t have Wine in his life seemed so far away now, like a distant memory. When Salt saw him exiting the plane he couldn’t keep his composure, he ran towards the other monster.

Throwing his arms around him and holding on like his life depended on it, shaking slightly as he inhaled his familiar scent. “I missed you so fucking much…” Salt breathed against his chest. Two strong arms wrapped around him in turn, squeezing him gently as he felt a kiss being pressed to the top of his skull. “I missed you too Saltine…so very much.” Wine told him softly, just enjoying the moment and holding his partner close. These past five weeks had been so lonely for him, and he was glad to finally be back where he belonged. With the one he belonged with, they stayed this way for nearly ten minutes together. Just soaking up the presence of the other they held so dear, so happy just to be together again. Finally they began to move, but they never let go. Walking side by side together, nothing more was said because nothing more needed to be said. They knew what the other was thinking and felt, and could see it in each others faces.
