Carter was happy, today the team was having a small get together at the park and having a wonderful day. The weather was beautiful and nothing could ruin his good mood until...
“Am I nuts or…”
“Yes I do think Kelsey and Ryan are fighting two teenage boys in the CVS parking lot we just drove past.” Dana said.
“Wait what? Joel and Chad immediately turned in the back seat to look back at the parking lot as it got smaller in the distance.
“We’re turning around and stopping that right?”
“Yeah i just need to find somewhere to make a legal u turn,”
“Oh, up there!” Joel pointed to a uturn side a ways up the street, as Carter went the speed limit and they turned back around to pull into the parking lot just in time to see Ryan go flying through the air from what looked like lightning.
“What the hell? Carter was ready to save a pair of idiots who didn’t know what they were up against... not whatever this is. Considering Kelsey and the other guy seemed to have locked hands and were putting their full strength to try and push the other one on to their back.
“Oh shit” both Kelsey and the guy she was up against said together.
“Hunter! What did sensei say about using our powers on people who aren’t ninjas!”
“What sensei doesn’t know can’t hurt him!”
“Can you do that?” Kelsey asked.
“Yeah but I wasn't because I was being polite.”
“Polite in a brawl in a CVS parking lot?” Dana asked.
Ryan picked himself up and charged the blond.
Kelsey took Blake’s distraction at his brother’s actions as the advantage she needed to push him over onto the ground.
Blake took a moment before laughing being pushed over on the ground. “Nice”
“Thank you,” Kelsey said, offering him a hand up, as they both turned to watch Ryan and Hunter going as full force as they could without morphing.
“I’m confused, are we enemies with these kids or what?” Joel asked.
“They’re the thunder storm rangers,” Kelsey explained.
“You’re power rangers?”
They heard a grunt as Hunter was thrown through the air.
“Yeah last year at least,”
Hunter screamed like bloody murder as he rushed Ryan.
Carter and Dana were trying to start the near impossible task of pulling them apart.
“Guys come on, at least don’t fight on pavement,”
“I’m going to make him regret the day he ever met me,” Hunter said.
“Funny i was about to say the same to you,”
“Were not,”
“Was so,”
“Was not”
“Was so”
“Ryan, you are an adult!” dana yelled
“Yeah so I’m going to teach this kid a lesson,”
Ryan pushed Carter out of the way so that he and Hunter could continue to clobber each other.
“Kick his ass!” Blake yelled.
“No way! Ryan you got this,” Kelsey shouted.
“Ryan, you are the strongest guy I know!” Joel joined in.
“Guys are you kidding me?” Carter looked at his team mates who now stood off to the side with Blake cheering on the match.
“Carter if you think you can kick both my brother and Ryan’s asses at the same time you are welcome to it,”
“That’s what I- you know what it doesn’t matter,”
Turning back to the fight Hunter now laughing at the sight of Dana having jumped on her brother's back locking her arms and legs around his arms and torso, “STOP FIGHTING!”
“Not until he surrenders!,” Ryan said, trying to shimmy his sister off without hurting her.
“Oh I thought this was a to the death kind of deal?” Hunter said
“It can be if you want it to be,”
“NO!!!” Carter and Dana yelled.
Ryan was knocked off balance by the sudden loud noise in his ear. Hunter took the advantage to knock over ryan with Dana still holding on for dear life.
Ryan began struggling harder against his sister as Hunter put his foot on his calve. He didn’t put any real weight behind it, just enough pressure for Ryan to know without a doubt it was there and this was how Hunter was choosing to pin him.
“ONE, TWO, THREE, Hunter wins!” Blake yelled.
“That’s not fair Dana was on top of him!” Kelsey argues.
Hunter started to walk away as Dana finally let go of Ryan after he promised not to go after Hunter.
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game,” Hunter said cockily.
“This isn’t over kid,” Ryan grunted as he picked himself up and started to dust himself off. Dana was getting ready to jump back onto him.
Hunter turned back to face Ryan, “I’m pretty sure I just won,”
“Not today but one day, were going to have a rematch, without our siblings around and then we’ll see who the real winner is,”
“I look forward to it,”
