The sun had already set hours ago, and the dorms of the knights of Favonius were filled with the usual silence of the night in Mondstadt. By the time it was, everyone had gone to bed and was sound asleep...or was it?

A certain outrider had just gone back to her room a mere few minutes ago,and by the look on her face she was feeling rather conflicted again. Amber slumped on her bed, hugging baron bunny to her chest and muffling the exasperated whine that overtook her, her brows furrowed in what appeared to be defeat.

“I hope that “Soon” is true” she whispered to herself as she rolled onto the bed, still hugging the puppet. Another day had passed, another day without getting to do something more than kissing with Eula.

“What is Eula even waiting for!” The outrider asked herself, She and the Spindrift knight had begun going out around 2 months ago, after a rather bumpy road of flirting and pining for each other, they finally confessed their feelings and shared a passionate kiss while dancing in the middle of the night.But that was as far as they’ve gone, much to Amber’s dismay, sure part of the fault laid in Eula’s rather long reconnaissance missions outside of Mondstadt, they had taken up a good 3 weeks of their time together, but Amber was hopeful than when she returned the blue haired woman would be more than eager to “have vengeance on her” or whatever she wanted to call it, but the truth is, that didn’t happen.

It seemed that every time they found time to be alone together, which was already scarce, Eula had picked up the habit of stopping right when the mood was getting just right, allegating they had other matters to attend to and they should stop there. Which just left Amber yearning for more of Eula’s cold hands, mouth and lips on her already heating body. Of course not every time it had been Eula’s decision to stop, they had their fair share of abruptly stopping when they heard someone getting too close to their position, but still those times the Spindrift knight had put a stop to their make out sessions without, truly, any reason at all were driving Amber crazy.

‘This last time has been the worst by far though...’ The outrider rolled around in bed again remembering what had happened just a few hours ago….

Eula had returned back to the City of Freedom with her team after a long week away dealing with some treasure hoarders that threatened to hinder commerce between Liyue and Mondstadt, and of course Amber had gone out to receive her as soon as she heard the news of her comeback from the Acting Grand Master. As soon as the captain had ordered her team to go on without her and they were no longer in their range of vision Amber had jumped to her arms exclaiming a very loud “I missed you!” and nuzzling her face against the cryo user. The taller woman reciprocating the affection while huffing about how she got vengeance on those treasure hoarders for keeping her separated from Amber for so long.

Soon they too had returned back to Mondstadt and after checking in with Jean and filing her report on the resolved issue, the Acting Grand Master had given them permission to wander off free the rest of the evening. And as they often did when they wanted a more private atmosphere they climbed on top of the walls surrounding the city, and found themselves admiring the view from up there, their bodies subconsciously getting closer to each other with each passing second. “I really..” the shorter girl whispered, nudging closer to Eula “Really missed you this week…” she confessed, not being one who hides her feelings. The taller woman turned her gaze from the hills that could be seen from up where they were to the melancholic smile splattered in her girlfriend’s face. Without thinking her arm moved around Amber,squeezing her shoulder with her gloved hand and bringing her even closer. 

“Don’t make that face, please” is what she had wanted to say, but instead a slightly teasing tone came out “Hmpf, making that face in an attempt to make me pity you? That won’t happen”. Amber’s lip corners perked up into a playful smile  “Oh nooo!!” she threw herself into Eula’s arms dramatically “I guess you’ll have vengeance on me now?” a giggle made it’s way past her mouth.

“Don’t get too cocky” Eula exclaimed in a low huff before finally closing the space between their lips, a tinge of urgency in both of them as they immediately started moving their lips against each other, deepening the kiss.

 Not wanting to be seen by anyone that happened to look up to the walls they ended up crouching down, sitting on the cold stone ground as they kept colliding their lips together again and again, briefly separating merely to catch their breaths, hands roaming everywhere over their clothes as the air between them seemed to warm up. They had missed this feeling, it was obvious from the way their hearts beat rapidly inside their chests, and all the sounds of the busy city around them began to fade, the only remaining sound being that of their labored breaths.

Soon enough just sitting and kissing right next to each other wasn’t enough closeness, and the eager outrider found herself straddling Eula’s hips, sitting right on top of her lap, this new position allowed the taller woman to pull Amber close to her own body, wrapping her right arm around the pyro girl’s waist tightly, as her left hand was occupied holding Amber’s neck in place. Soft sighs and moans came out of the brunettes’ slightly parted lips as their kiss deepened and their tongues danced gracefully with each other, she didn’t know if the blue haired woman did it on purpose, but when they kissed Eula’s tongue was always so delightfully cold against her own, it created a melting sensation inside her mouth every time and she had quickly become addicted to it. The burning flame of want was fueled more and more deep inside her light body the longer their kisses lasted,pooling in between her legs rapidly like a forest fire.

It was then when something that hadn’t happened before started, Eula had broken their kiss and started peppering cold light kisses all over Amber’s face, and jaw, behind her ear, the spot just below there, both of her hands now gripping the sides of the outrider’s hips tightly. The slightly confused groan that left Amber’s lips when Eula broke their kiss was replaced by a yelp and a moan of the other’s name at the cold sensation of her lips against her flushed and very warm skin.

Her whole body was trembling with the sheer want that had built up inside her, and she couldn’t help but let out a dragged out moan of Eula’s name again when she felt the taller woman sucking at a very delicate spot on her neck. Her heart rate quickened even more at that and she squirmed on top of the Spindrift knights’ lap, which made a jolt of pleasure shake her entire body. Apparently her heart wasn’t the only thing thumping rapìdly at that moment, as she realized grinding down on her girlfriend’s lap had made another  type of heartbeat arise. 

The teasing hands squeezing her hips, the mouth working at her neck, and Eula’s harsh breathing close to her ear was all way too much for the brunette, she was becoming more and more lost into her primal instincts and just wanted to keep being touched until that building sensation sitting low on her stomach released. She was burning up, and desperately needed the touch of the cryo user to help quench the fiery thirst inside her. But much to her dismay, and as if Eula herself had snapped out of a trance of her own, stopped all what she was doing, and pushed Amber off her lap, hurriedly getting up and helping the shorter girl doing it too, as her legs were still kinda wobbly. “It’s not the right time” the blue haired woman whispered. 

“H-huh? Why? Wait, why are we stopping? Eula?” The outrider desperately inquired as she saw her girlfriend hurriedly walking to the stairs to go down, “It’s...I remembered I have some matters I must quickly attend to, Vengeance of course. I’ll see you soon Amber” she said before jumping down and disappearing in the streets of the city. “Ah Eulaaa!!” Amber tried to follow after her, but her legs felt weaker than usual after what had happened, and so she resigned herself to go back to the headquarters to ask Jean for a mission to hopefully calm herself a little bit.

As soon as she stepped into the Acting Grand Masters’ office and saw Jean’s face quickly reddening she realized maybe, just maybe, she didn’t look presentable at all after her little affair with Eula. “Oh O-outrider, is there something you wish to ask of me?” Jean spoke, and it was clear that she was trying her best to not look anywhere else but Amber’s face. With an apologetic smile Amber asked for some sort of task that required her to run around a lot, and luckily there was indeed one mission that seemed perfect, she’ll have to go all the way to Windrise and dismantle a few hilichurl camps that had began to form very close to the Anemo Archons’ statue.

The moment Amber stepped outside of the gates of the city she hurried up to the edge of the lake to take a look at herself in the reflection of the water, and immediately understood why Jean was acting so bashful. There was a giant hickey at the side of her neck, right where Eula had kissed and sucked at her skin, the bruise was reddish with a hint of purple beginning to form and if she looked closely she could see other, lighter, red marks all over.That sight only made Amber vividly remember what had happened barely an hour ago and she had to splash the cold water of Cider lake on her face to calm down again.

“Focus focus!!” She told herself as she set off to take down all those hilichurls waiting for her arrows, the exercise would distract her from the still ignited flames within her, hopefully…

A few hours later the pyro girl finally made her way back to the gates of the city, she was feeling quite worn out after having taken down so many enemies in her attempt to calm her racing heart, she slowly but surely kept walking until she saw a familiar silhouette at the headquarter’s front gate. “You took quite a while on your mission, dinner ended half an hour ago” The icy tone in Eula’s speech contrasted with the soft, nearly apologetic expression on her face, extending a hand with a bag that still radiated warmth she cleared her throat “I went through the trouble of saving this for you, so if you don’t sit down and eat it immediately it will be another transgression to add to your long list of…”  she got interrupted by a hug from the other girl. 

“Thank you Eula!” she beamed, feeling happy the taller woman wasn’t acting strange around her still. “:...Vengeance” the Spindrift knight finished her sentence, something similar to a pout on her face. Amber released her hold from the blue haired woman to sit on a bench near the entrance of the Knights, and patted the spot beside her to make Eula sit with her before opening the contents of the bag. “Waahh!! Is Sticky Honey Roast!” the Outrider exclaimed as she put her hands together for a brief moment before she started to dig in the still warm dish.

“Knowing it was your favorite I thought it’d be such a shame if you couldn’t enjoy it” Eula said crossing her arms “Hmpf! I want you to know I stood in line for quite a long time to get you this, so you better be grateful” 

“I am, I am! And ish sho gfoodf!” Amber exclaimed, still chewing the delicious meat. “Don’t talk with food in your mouth, goodness gracious so unsightly” Eula took out a beautiful white handkerchief embroidered with silver and blue flowers and lightly tapped at Amber’s face where she had gotten messy with the sauce. After laughing apologetically, Amber gave Eula’s cheek a quick peck, which reddened said woman’s face a few shades. “Thank you Eula” she sincerely said, before getting up to throw the container of her dinner to the nearest trash can.”It was super yummy!”

“Come on, I’ll escort you to your room” The icy woman said, getting up from the bench they had shared. Her pyro companion hurriedly hopped back to where Eula was and resisted the urge to cling to her arm as they were right in front of the gates now when the guards could spot them.

“Actually I was thinking...!”  she tried to lower her voice as they entered the headquarters, getting on her tiptoes to be able to reach Eula’s ear “C-can we just go to your room tonight?” 

“Absolutely not” came back Eula’s immediate response, not daring to make eye contact with the shorter girl, but her cheeks still tinted red at the proposition. Amber’s disappointment was written all over her face as they went up the stairs to head to the dorms. “Eehh!? Why not?” Making sure no one was in sight she allowed herself to finally catch the blue haired girl’s arm in between hers and bring it close to her chest, even with the brief time they’d been going out Amber had caught on how doing that would tend to lower Eula’s defenses. 

“That’s a pitiful attempt at making me lose my temper” huffed the taller woman, still looking ahead of her. “Tomorrow it’s the weekly early morning meeting, remember?” came her reasoning as to why Amber couldn’t stay. “I mean, you’re right but..” the outrider tried to counterback. “No buts” Eula said, finally looking her in the eye, they had arrived at Amber’s door already. The shorter girl whined at Eula’s stone cold response “H-have I maybe...done something wrong?” she timidly asked, worried she was perhaps the cause of Eula’s hesitancy to proceed further into their relationship. 

“Huh?” The startled expression on Eula’s face was not what Amber was expecting. “Of course not, what makes you think that nonsense?” She said waving her arm in front of her. “W-well everytime we get alone time you suddenly stop and disappear in the middle of it so I was just...” Amber fidgeted nervously, waiting for Eula’s next words. A heavy sigh escaped the Spindrift knight’s mouth as she rubbed her temples, it was clear she was struggling to pick the words she will be saying next, and so Amber waited, anxiety churning around in her stomach. 

“I’ve told you it’s not the right time, haven’t I?” she finally said “You’ve gotten yourself a long list of reasons for me to claim vengeance upon, but..” her expression finally softened a bit “You can rest assured this case is not it, you’ve done nothing wrong” A gloved hand came to caress the outrider’s face lightly, and Amber leaned into the cold yet comforting touch. After sharing a few moments of silence between them, Amber finally opened the door to her room and prepared to say goodbye yet again, to her girlfriend. Turning her head around one last time to gaze at Eula she stuttered “C-can I at least ask when the right time will be?” her face was flushed as she let out those embarrassing words but her impatience was getting the most of her.

Eula’s brows furrowed and after pondering it for a few seconds she grunted “...Soon” leaning down to plant one chaste kiss on Amber’s lips “Now go to sleep or you’ll encounter my wrath!” she said while urging the shorter girl to close the door. “Okay okay..Goodnight Eula” She beamed one last tired smile as she finally let her girlfriend go to her own room, the echo of those high heels reverberating in her ears as she too distanced herself from the door and into her modest bedroom.

Getting out of her work clothes Amber kept thinking about what had happened during the day “I still can’t get it out of my head” she whined, messing up her hair with both hands. “How soon is “soon”? I feel like I’ll go crazy if something like today happens again…”  With those thoughts in mind she tried to get some sleep much to no avail. One thing she decided while pondering all night though, was that she couldn’t tackle this problem alone, so she’ll have to ask for some guidance on what to do, and she was sure she knew the perfect person to ask to….

The next morning started out rough,having to attend the weekly meeting, Amber rose out of bed at the crack of dawn, having barely slept at all and clumsily put on her work outfit again, to stumble down the stairs and into Jean’s office. It appeared she was the last one to come in, as Kaeya, Lisa, Albedo and Eula were already there, with the Acting Grand Master being in the center of the small circle of course. 

“Sorry for the wait!” Amber timidly said while taking her spot besides Eula. Jean reassured her they all barely got there a few minutes ago, and started the meeting now with all of them present. After summing up the past week’s affairs and going over the general tasks everyone must do for the next, Jean started delegating more crucial tasks to each and everyone there. The Cavalry captain was tasked with collecting information of the fatui movements inside Mondstadt, for example, but if Amber was honest with herself she wasn’t paying that much attention to what was being said. 

“Captain Lawrence, We have been warned of an unusually large abyss mage activity near the alchemy camps in dragonspine” Jean said “I put your team in charge of this as I’m aware of your advantage in that territory” 

“Roger” was the only word that left Eula’s mouth without quickly disappearing out of the office’s door.

After giving everyone else their tasks and dismissing them, Jean held the Outrider just as she was about to exit the room “Ah Amber come here for a second” Putting a hand on her shoulder she said, concern in her voice “Are you okay? You look very tired today, is there something troubling you?” Certainly the state she was in was strange to say the least for her, Amber was known for having endless energy and always being cheerful and ready to take on the missions of each day, but the bags under her eyes and the dishevelled appearance of this morning indicated something was up.

With an apologetic smile Amber rubbed the back of her head “Ah it’s nothing master Jean! Really I just had a bit of trouble sleeping last night” she replied trying to not worry the older woman too much, Jean already had enough on her hands to worry about. Her explanation didn’t seem to convince the blonde much as she was still looking concerned, but decided it wasn’t her place to step in “Well, try to take it easy today then, get some rest, you know the library is open and Lisa will be more than happy to brew some tea for you” she advised, before finally letting the outrider go.  Amber thanked Jean for her concern and carefully closed the door, taking a big sigh, she decided to go straight to the library, she was planning on paying Lisa a visit even before Jean suggested it, after all, Amber knew the librarian would probably be the best person to ask advice about her...situation with the Spindrift knight.

Saying hi to Wryatt and slowly opening the door to the library, careful to not make any loud sound, she approached the desk in which the Witch of purple rose was sitting, lazily passing the pages of a dusty old book. Looking up and noticing the pyro girl Lisa closed the book and set it aside “Oh Amber sweetie it’s been a while since you’ve last come here, what’s the matter love?”The woman’s voice was always so sweet it made Amber flush a little bit at the affectionate words, gathering her courage she finally spoke in a low voice.

“I- I was wondering if you could help me out with a...conflicting situation I’ve got myself into…” the short girl fidgeted looking at her own feet. “Oh~! Is it a love situation perhaps~?” The librarian rested her face on one hand as a purple rose appeared out of thin air, twirling in her free hand. She seemed clearly amused by how Amber’s cheeks got redder as she timidly nodded.

“Then wait a little bit, I’ll go brew us some lavender tea so we can talk thoroughly~” she exclaimed, clapping her hands together as an excited smile was plastered on her face.

Amber took a seat on the small tea table set right besides the Witch's desk and timidly looked around trying to gather her thoughts, as the sweet scent of tea shook her off her own mind.“Okay darling, here I am~ Now tell me, what’s been troubling you?”  The taller woman chirped as she took a seat in front of Amber and served a nice cup of tea to both of them, setting a few pastries on the plate for them to snack on.

The brunette started talking, trying to keep everything vague. Eula hadn’t really told her to keep their relationship a secret by any means but they both figured out it’d be better to be discreet to not let it interfere with how their peers saw them as knights. “So, umh...we’ve been...going out sorta, for around 2 months already” She began relating “And it’s been great! We don’t have much time together because her missions are long and-”as soon as the words left her mouth Amber slapped her mouth with her hand, covering it ‘Great job at being vague…’

Lisa giggled as she took another sip of her tea “Oh you’re so adorable, keep going keep going~”

Amber slumped her shoulders and continued relating as she also took her first sip of the tea, it was warm and the sweet aftertaste of the lavender had a calming effect on her. “ T-the time we spend together is great! But….” She took another sip, nervously licking her lips as she tried to find the correct words. It was more embarrassing than she thought to confess her feelings like this, even if she knew the purple witch was probably her best shot. “B-but when we’re ummh.. How do I put it… oh gosh this is embarrassing” Amber struggled, covering her face with both hands and sinking herself in the chair. “It’s fine sweetheart, take your time” Lisa reassured, taking one pastry from the plate and dipping it in her tea. If talking about it wasn’t embarrassing enough, having to remember all the times she and Eula had been making out was making Amber’s already flushed face even redder as she squirmed in her seat.

“Let me help you here dear, have you two kissed?” The older woman inquired, and as Amber nodded continued “Was it more than a peck?” Another nod, Lisa was starting to understand little by little. Amber finally got the courage to murmur “We kiss...a lot, and it feels amazing and right and perfect and then….she just stops and runs away saying “It’s not the right time””

“Mhh” Lisa nodded in understanding “And I’m guessing you want to keep kissing and do more?” she said, perfectly calm as she took yet another sip of her tea. “....Y-yeah” the outrider finally admitted, taking a big gulp of her tea, her face as red as a balberry. “I see..” Lisa said, finishing her tea and setting the cup down. “Well it’s definitely not a matter of her not wanting to do it, that’s for sure” she said, taking a handkerchief and tapping at her mouth to clean it from the crumbs still there. “H-how are you so sure? I’m not even sure myself…” Amber sighed, taking a pastry and munching on it nervously.

The purple witch giggled and pointed to Amber’s neck “I mean, judging from that purple mark there on your neck you weren’t the only one getting carried away, darling” The brunette gasped as she tried to cover her neck, she had completely forgotten the hickey was there with all the ruckus that morning. “If I had to guess…” Lisa continued “...most of the times you two had gotten a bit more intimate were in circumstances that weren’t ideal, am I wrong?”

Amber pondered for a few seconds, recalling all the times she and Eula had their most intense makeout sessions “Now that you say it….” all of them had been in a rather...vulnerable location. Under the tree in Windrise, in the middle of the Whispering Woods, several times on top of Mondstadt’s walls.... “Y-you might be right but..isn’t the common thing to do in that situation to...ummh… G-go to one of our rooms?” Amber furrowed her brows, still not feeling 100% sure about her feelings on the matter.

Lisa got up from her seat to bring the teapot and cups back to the storage room where all her potions were. “Well, it would be a bit difficult to not be seen if suddenly you two came back hurriedly to the dorms” She winked back at the very blushing Amber that had gotten up too and was following her to not be left alone with those embarrassing thoughts.

“Besides, from the information I’ve gathered, Miss Lawrence is also a hopeless romantic in the very deep part of her heart….like someone else I know” she giggled, glancing to her right for a brief moment. “Oh really?” Amber said, before stopping in her tracks and letting out a high pitched yelp “W-WAIT how did you know it was Eula??” a panicked expression on her face as she tried to hide behind a bookshelf.

“Oh it was obvious from the start dear”

“Huh, was it?” a third voice said behind the same bookshelf Amber had hidden herself.

“E-eh master Jean you’re here too?” 

“You two stop hiding behind my precious books!” Lisa said in a stern voice, making both the Acting Grand Master and Amber come out of their hiding spots. Clearing her throat the purple witch continued “Jean darling, you know it’s not proper to eavesdrop private conversations”. The blonde apologized, explaining she was just worried for Amber after all and wanted to know what was wrong “But honestly I’m glad you went to Lisa for this matter as I’m not...the most well versed on it” she said, her cheeks tainted red.

Directing her attention back to Amber, Lisa gave her a reassuring smile, “Listen sweetheart, when dealing with women like these you gotta take a little bit of the initiative” she explained putting a hand on the outrider’s shoulder “Cause we all know Eula is stubborn as they come, and no moment will seem perfect enough for her” 

“Wow! It’s like you’re talking from experience Miss Lisa!” Amber said, mesmerized, said woman chuckled playfully “Oh that’s cause I am, dear” She side eyed the Acting Grand Master “And what did you do to take the initiative?” The pyro girl asked, full of hope in her eyes. “Oh I’m afraid I can’t say that out loud, there might be children downstairs” She giggled covering her mouth with her gloved hand. “L-Lisa please just focus on the matter at hand” Jean pleaded, her face red as a berry. “What I’m saying, is that you need to find a weak spot” Lisa focused back on Amber “From all we’ve talked it’s fine to assume your darling is in a constant battle within her desire and her expectations about how your first time making love should be” she explained, and both Amber and Jean just listened, wondering how the witch could talk so nonchalantly about such matters.

Making a scale appear out of purple particles, Lisa continued “So all I’m saying is that...” “You need to tip the scale so that her desires completely overwhelm her ideals” The librarian winked at a pensative Amber, as Jean tried to look everywhere but those emerald green eyes. “Or to put it simply…” she kept talking as the scale that had appeared from thin air banished just as fast. “Just turn her on soooo much she can’t think about anything else” The witch finished, sticking her tongue out playfully as she slowly made her way back to her desk.

“Lisa please!”

“M-miss Lisa!”

Both women said at the same time, Amber had crouched down on the floor covering her beet red face with both her hands, as Jean was leaning on the bookshelf, her state not much better than the outrider’s. Lisa was having way too much fun with them 

“Fufufufu Oh it’s so fun to tease you two, makes me want to do it more” she said while laughing.

After calming down her rapidly beating heart Amber finally got up from her crouching position “Umh, I know I might not be the best to give advice but” Jean started to say “If you want my two cents, I think it’d be best to be completely honest with Eula, she’s clearly very fond of you, and ummh..” she struggled to keep speaking “I-if you explain to her you don’t mind if it’s not “perfect” and just...open your heart completely I think she will understand” Jean smiled “After all you know better than anyone how she’s a gentle girl, I’m sure you two could meet in the middle” 

Amber smiled, she came into the library looking for an opinion, and she got two strategies to overcome this barrier with Eula. “Oh but it’s so much more fun to rile them up~ The sex is better too, right Jean?” came the purple witch’s voice.

“L-LISA I told you to drop it! Barbatos have mercy ...” Jean hurriedly stomped to where Lisa was and started scolding her, albeit lightly, her cheeks flushed a vivid red. Amber knew to put 2 and 2 together, but didn’t want to embarrass the acting grand master more, so she decided to play dumb for the time being, but couldn’t help but smile and envy their relationship a little bit.

“Master Jean, Miss Lisa, thank you so much for your advice!” she bowed “I’m going to try and put both of your plans into action....hopefully it turns out well”Amber said while scratching her cheek. Both women nodded “Ahh darling if you need any more advice on how to proceed just let me know okay~ I’d also love to know the details on how it turns out” she chuckled while Jean began to scold her again. “G-good luck Amber, I hope it all goes well for you”

After exiting the library with her determination on full blast again, Amber finally took on her task of patrolling near Springvale, as she thought of ways of implementing both of the approaches the older women had told her.‘Mhhh Eula’s weak points huh…’ as she climbed on top of a windmill to get a better range of view she pondered about her options. She knew clinging onto Eula’s arm had shown signs of working in the past, but yesterday when she tried to do it the cryo woman had flat out told her how that wouldn’t work...was she lying back then? 

The outrider kept thinking about it, trying to recall any instance in which her actions had made the other woman flustered, but it was proving harder than expected, she was the more prone to blushing of the two. Finally getting to the top of the windmill she scanned everywhere in search for any enemies, ‘Now that I think about it...maybe I’m lacking initiative? I really want to do it but I’ve just passively let Eula do everything and just follow...’

A new idea popped into her mind, she’ll show Eula just how much her needs had grown since the first time they shared a kiss. It may be a bit embarrassing, but honestly she was willing to take the risk if it meant tipping the Spindrift knight over the edge, as Lisa would say.

After all, this new approach she came up with seemed like a perfect balance between what the two women had advised her to do. Amber nodded to herself as she glided from the platform she was standing on top of the windmill to a nearby hill to keep patrolling, hopefully today seemed like a peaceful day, no enemies in sight except for a few hydro slimes she took down with her pyro arrows as soon as they got too close to important supplies.

Adjusting her goggles she turned her head in Dragonspine’s direction ‘ Eula is probably done with her task too… ’ she knew the cryo woman was efficient and fast in her work, not to say elegant and mesmerizing… ‘Ah I shouldn’t get too distracted’ . Letting her wings out again she glided from the hill down in direction to Dragonspine , Eula would have to pass through the small camp the knights and some other researchers had set up at the base of the snowy mountain, so she decided to get close to it and try her luck at spotting her.

Luckily enough she didn’t even have to go all the way over to the camp, as she saw the tall figure of the Spindrift knight walking in her direction. Amber started sprinting towards her girlfriend waving her hand and shouting her name enthusiastically. Throwing herself into Eula’s arms she almost made them both fall to the ground if it wasn’t for the taller woman’s great strength and reflexes.

“Amber, what are you doing here?” the taller woman huffed as she was hugged tightly.

“Well I guessed you’d be done with your mission, and mine was patrolling around Springvale, so I thought I could go and find you so we could go back together!” she chirped, still not releasing Eula from her hug, instead she just rested her chin on top of Eula’s chest,nuzzling it, her height becoming an advantage in that situation.

The cryo user cleared her throat while patting Amber’s back “Well, it’s certainly difficult to go back if you just keep hugging me and keeping us here in place”  The brunette nuzzled her face more into the taller woman’s chest “Mhh I know but it just feels nice to be like this…”she whined, looking at Eula through fluttering eyelashes, noticing the woman’s face getting flushed. “Is the lack of sleep getting to your head? I’m certain I warned you of my wrath if you didn’t sleep properly yesterday night” She huffed, finally deciding to hug Amber back, and planting a kiss on top of her hair. “I’m sorry Eula…” Amber muffled against her chest “I couldn’t help but keep thinking about you and what happened yesterday last night...and I couldn’t sleep at all”

Being so close to Eula’s chest, Amber could pick up the rate of her heart accelerating as soon as she said those words. “Oh for all archons, how can you say that stuff to me?” The taller woman yelped, yes yelped, “I’m just telling you the truth!” Amber finally released Eula from her hug and noticed how her face was now very obviously flushed, her brows furrowed, and then it hit her.

Eula was taking her words in the wrong way , judging from her reaction. Embarrassment creeped up from inside Amber’s body and made her want to clear the misunderstanding, but quickly came to the realization this could play in her favor… Swallowing down her own shyness she decided to go ahead with this opportunity her poor way of explaining things had gifted her. 

She took Eula’s arm and clung to it as she usually did, but tried to jut her chest out and press it very obviously onto it “I can’t get you out of my head… are you angry I didn’t sleep because of it?” she said, pouting lightly. Eula gulped down the ball of saliva accumulating in her mouth before speaking “....I will get my vengeance for this Amber, but I’m not exactly angry either” The smaller girl nudged closer to her “If you’re not angry...can I get a kiss?” she asked, getting on her tiptoes.

“Asking so shamelessly for one...aren’t you forward today?” The cryo user said, taking Amber’s chin between her gloved fingers before closing the distance between their lips...or so Amber had hoped. Instead, she got a teasing, icy kiss on the corner of her mouth, but it wasn’t all bad. The flirty smile on Eula’s face was proof that she was slowly falling into the trap, so to speak. If Amber could keep up with the flirting until it came to a breaking point it’d be her victory.

“Meanie…” she whispered as she returned another kiss at the same spot Eula had teased her a few seconds ago. “This is part of my vengeance, Outrider” the blue haired woman said as she finally released Amber’s face from her grip and started walking towards the City,the outrider glued at her by the hip, she had released Eula’s arm to hug her waist instead even by walking, even if it was a bit more difficult to match their paces. The Spindrift knight had grunted how Amber was awfully clingy today, but her own arm was also wrapped around the smaller girl, a cold hand nestled comfortably in Amber’s hip. Since it was already time for lunch Amber suggested they take a detour and just have a light picnic before heading back to the city, fortunately Springvale’s people had noticed the Outrider patrolling the area and were more than happy to provide them with a nice lunch as a thanks for her service earlier.

They decided to head over the Anemo archon statue near Dawn Winery, after quickly cleaning out the area of any pesky hilichurl they found, Amber took out the picnic cloth the friendly villagers had provided them with and extended it on the floor under the shade of a tree. Meanwhile Eula proceeded to take out and examine the food they got, a few sandwiches, some mushroom skewers,a few apples presumably for dessert, and a bottle of wine.

“Mh, not bad” huffed the cryo woman as she took out the food and placed it in the blanket, arranging it in an aesthetic way, a clear sign of her noble heritage. “You look elegant even putting some sandwiches on top of each other” Amber chuckled, as she observed Eula, stretching her arms while basking in the sunlight. “Appearance is crucial even on food” came Eula’s response as she deemed her task as finished and sat at one corner of the picnic blanket, waiting for Amber to do the same before she started eating.”Now quit the flattery and come sit with me to eat, this was your idea after all” The outrider obliged and took a seat right besides Eula, before an idea popped up in her head, taking a sandwich for herself she complained “Mhh this doesn’t feel quite right” scanning  the other woman with her eyes. A playful smile made its way to her lips as she suddenly pounced the taller girl, straddling her lap and wrapping her arms around Eula’s shoulders. 

“ W-what in the devil do you think you’re doing? ” Came the flustered and confused reply from the Reconnaissance Captain. She was met by a chuckle and a kiss to her reddened cheek.”This spot is just much more comfy~” Amber chirped “I realized yesterday, it feels nice to be here” she emphasised her words by wiggling her bottom playfully on top of Eula’s thighs, her own face getting flushed by the embarrassment of her actions. “Don’t tell me I am too heavy,” she chuckled. “ Please , I yield a claymore as my job, and I can assure you that’s way heavier” Eula snarled “Then it’s okay if I just stay here right?” The pyro girl pressed on, after a few seconds of pondering the Spindrift knight grunted “Do as you please, it will have consequences though, using a noble woman as a seat” she sighed. 

With their faces so close, Amber couldn’t help but to steal a kiss directly from Eula’s lips “Thank you~” she chirped before stealing another one, and another one, it was kinda fun to see the other woman’s face getting redder with each kiss. 

“T-that’s enough don’t you think?” came out the voice of the blue haired girl, an attempt of a glare in her eyes “It’s not nearly enough!” the outrider replied, puffing her cheeks out.

“I wanna kiss you all day, everyday!” she sincerely said, giving yet another smooch to her flustered and surprised girlfriend.

“Tsk..goodness” came a grunt out of Eula’s mouth before one of her hands, that was supporting her weight behind her, came up to hold Amber’s neck tightly, deepening the kiss immediately and taking the pyro girl by surprise.

A happy sound came out of Amber’s mouth as she closed her eyes and let herself enjoy the feeling of having Eula’s tongue dancing around her mouth again. The sandwich she was holding fell to the edge of the picnic blanket ready to be taken by ants as Amber used her now two free hands to get Eula closer to her. Her right hand slid under the Spindrift knight’s cloak and onto the open window of her pale back, eliciting a shiver and a grunt out of the icy woman. While her left one came up to grab a hold of Eula’s shoulder, massaging it lightly.

“Mhhh Eula~” Amber moaned when the two of them separated for a brief moment to get air before colliding their mouths together again, Eula’s cold, gloved hand went from the back of Amber’s neck all the way down the middle of her back, over the tight lacing of the corset, until it reached the side of her hip, and came to rest on top of Amber’s thigh, the pads of her fingertips dancing over the heating skin there. This movement elicited another pleasured sound to leave the outrider’s mouth as she grinded into the Spindrift knight’s own hips. 

The gentle breeze only helped to contrast with the progressively heating temperature of their bodies as they got lost into each other. A sudden urge within her made Amber nip at Eula’s already swollen lips from all the kissing, making it her turn to let out a moan, and for the cold hand on Amber’s thigh to squeeze the warm flesh in response to the nibble. The outrider felt those ice cold gloved fingers move upwards and sneak past her shorts, hiking them up even more and making a shiver run down her spine, arching her back once again.Eula’s hand was getting dangerously close to that special place where the outrider needed to be touched the most, and it made the already pooling heat inside her ignite more with each passing second of those cold fingers caressing her unexplored skin.

Eula broke their kiss to start giving frosty kisses all over Amber’s jaw and neck, similar to how it had happened the previous day with the difference being in the cryo woman not stopping at the neck, her cold lips kept pressing against the outrider’s skin lower and lower, until they reached the start of Amber’s breasts, the skin there being more sensitive and softer against her mouth. Encouraged by the sweet breathy moans leaving the pyro girl’s mouth and the two hands around her head making it so she couldn’t move it away even if she wanted she kept her attention on Amber’s bosom, both of her hands now gripping the brunette’s thighs, massaging the supple flesh.

The moment was perfect, or so it seemed to the pyro user, Eula was showing no signs of stopping, and even if Amber hadn’t thought her first time with her would be outside much less under a tree on an impromptu picnic, she honestly couldn’t care, not with the way Eula was touching her, kissing her everywhere, their hard breaths the only thing that could be heard apart from the loud squawks of seagulls….

Amber opened her eyes and was met not only with the gorgeous sight of the Reconnaissance Captain with her face sunk into her chest, eyes still closed, but with a group of giant seagulls that were stealing their long forgotten food. “WAAAAAHHH GET OUTTA HERE THIS IS NOT YOURS” the shorter girl shouted, shooing the seagulls as best as she could, unfortunately doing so also meant getting off of Eula’s lap, who was blinking in disbelief at the scene, her face flushed, clothes and hair slightly disheveled and just trying to process what was happening.

“Aww man!! The food the nice people at the village gave us…” Those damn birds had completely ruined the mood for the two of them, ‘We were so close too…’ Amber sighed, disappointed. She wasn’t the only one completely let down by the seagull fiasco, as Eula was muttering under her breath something along the lines of “I will exterminate all seagulls in Mondstadt, vengeance will be mine no matter what” as she adjusted her clothes.

“Well, I must say, that this” the blue haired woman said, pointing at the half eaten food “ Was your fault for not wanting to eat right away” she cleared her throat “My apologies though, I shouldn’t have..ehem, lost my cool like that”  Eula said, her face still red.

“But I…” Amber started, trying to salvage the food that was left untouched by the birds “ I kinda really like when you lose your cool Eula” She said, sitting on her knees with her hands between her thighs, noticing a slight dampness where there had been heat. The cryo user clenched her fists in an attempt to regain control over her clearly troubled emotions. “L-let’s just clean this up and go back to the city, I still got to check in with the acting grand master” She said as she stood up; and Amber could have sworn she saw something glistening down the spindrift knight’s thighs too.

“Yeah I guess that’s the best thing we can..eh?” She tried to stand up but her legs weren’t responding. Eula looked at her with a confused expression “I-I can’t stand up...I think my legs are cramped from being in one position too long” she chuckled apologetically while rubbing the back of her head. Great, another opportunity to keep being close to Eula.

Letting out a heavy sigh, the taller woman crouched down and effortlessly picked Amber up, carrying her on her back. “You will be held accountable for this…” she grunted as they finally set off on their way back to Mondstadt. “Sorry Eula, thank you for carrying me, I’ll treat you to dinner some other time!” the outrider said, hugging Eula’s shoulders tightly “Man I truly can’t feel my legs hahaha” she giggled, whispering playfully close to her ear “You really did a number on me huh~”  giving a small kiss to Eula’s ear, making Eula stumble and scold her.

“I really liked it though, I wanna.... Do more” she sincerely said, sinking her reddening face into Eula’s nape, not losing the opportunity to press her lips there too, eliciting another sharp breath to come out of the cryo woman’s mouth. “Are you going to keep doing this all the way back to the headquarters?” She muttered under her breath, readjusting Amber on her back. The brunette nuzzled her face against Eula’s head “Is it bothering you?” she asked, eyes slowly closing, the warm sun on her back and the Spindrift knight’s scent surrounding her making Amber’s defenses lower.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a bother...” came the stern voice of the Reconnaissance Captain, pondering for a few seconds before concluding “But it is rather distracting”. The pyro girl hummed at Eula’s reply, tightening the grip around her shoulders “Does the all mighty noblewoman, Eula Lawrence herself get distracted by a little kiss on her neck?” Said woman huffed, threatening to just drop Amber from her back “It’s not just that, and you know it” she said, being all too aware, having an open back suit, of the outrider’s naturally warmer skin against her own, and her gentle breathing against her ear.

Amber remained silent, her heartbeat slow and relaxed against Eula as she realized the brunette had fallen asleep, it wasn’t too surprising considering the state in which she was that morning, so the taller woman just silently walked all that was left until they reached Mondstatd’s gates. “Hmph falling asleep while a noble woman is carrying you...another reason for vengeance” she muttered under her breath.

“Welcome Miss Eu---”  Tried to say one of the knights custodying the main entrance to the City before it was met with Eula’s deadly glare, as she motioned at Amber who was still sound asleep on her back. The poor knight could only apologize silently as Eula passed through the gates and into Mondstadt’s main street, trying to avoid the noisiest places while still heading for the Favonius Headquarters. Finally entering through the doors she headed directly to Jean’s office, luckily it was left unclosed at this time of the evening. The blonde raised her head from the pile of documents she was reviewing to welcome the Reconnaissance Captain, until she noticed Amber’s bow peeking from behind Eula’s head. “D-did something happen to Amber?” she asked, worried about the girl’s condition.

“She’s just asleep” came the blue haired woman’s reply “How dare you imply I would let anything happen to our Outrider? I will add this to the list of vengeance I have prepared for you, Gunnhildr” she said furrowing her brows. Jean let out a sigh or relief, completely ignoring Eula’s vengeance talk “Well then, I assume your task in dragonspine is long completed” she said, as she took another document from the pile to read. 

“Affirmative” Eula replied as she glanced at the sofa. “I will be taking this sofa” she solemnly announced, approaching it before Jean hurriedly suggested she took Amber to her room instead.  “I mean you can’t go into Amber’s room cause you’ll have to wake her up to get the key and...This sofa is not very comfortable! I can vouch for it” she tried to explain her reasoning “I’m sure a normal bed will be much better” the blonde smiled, slightly nervous.

Eula’s brow raised in confusion, pondering her options until she let out a big sigh “Fine, I’m out of here” she mumbled before exiting Jean’s office. She took a long gaze at the staircases in front of her that headed to the dorms. Slowly going up, the only sound that could be heard being the one of her heels clicking against the wooden floor. Passing right past Amber’s door Eula gulped down, but still proceeded further into the corridor, approaching her own room. 

“Are you going to keep pretending to be asleep until we arrive at my chambers?” she finally sighed, stopping in front of the door that led to her bedroom. “Mhh it depends, will you still let me in if I stop?” Amber chuckled, a thicker tone in her voice still from her nap. “Since when did you know I was awake?” she asked as she got down from Eula’s piggy back ride. “Your breathing changed once we entered headquarters” Said the cryo woman, not even turning around to face the shorter girl.

“And knowing it...you still pretended I was asleep with master Jean” 

“Amber, you should go ba-” 

“I don’t want to go back to my room” the pyro girl didn’t let the taller woman say anything more. “I want to…..stay with you” her arms wrapped around Eula from behind, making the Spindrift knight take a sharp breath. “A-and you can’t say you don’t feel the same! “ her voice quivered a bit. It was taking all of her courage to pour her honest feelings, but she had to make her understand just how desperate she was getting. “B-back then at the picnic, and yesterday...it was..” she hid her face between Eula’s shoulder blades “It was feeling so good...I-I just wanted you to keep touching me…” The taller woman was holding the doorknob tightly, her breath hitching. “ I know you were feeling good too, so… Why are you restraining yourself so much?”  Amber tightened her grip around Eula, finally letting her speak.

“If you keep saying how much you want me to touch you there will be consequences, Amber” the taller woman spoke in a low voice, slowly turning around to face her. The look in her sunset eyes was enough to send Amber’s already fluttering heart into a race. “What type of consequences?” the outrider asked, letting her arms slide around Eula’s shoulders, getting on her tiptoes to close up the space between them. “Well, for starters, I’m afraid I won’t be able to restrain myself any longer” the tone of her voice had turned velvety with need and her breath against Amber’s lips made the shorter girl shiver with anticipation building up inside her.

“Doesn’t sound bad to me at all” came back Amber’s teasing reply,”In fact, it’s sounding very good” she was shamelessly switching her attention from Eula’s half lidded eyes to her soft pink lips. “You’ve got a nerve, taking down all of my defenses like this… I will have my ve-”

Amber had had enough, not letting the blue haired woman finish her sentence she pushed herself up the distance that finally made their lips seal together, tangling her hands in Eula’s hair. With her eyes closed, she heard the sound of the doorknob twisting, and when she opened them again she found herself with her back resting against the other side of Eula’s door, the taller woman pinning her to it. A breathy moan came out of Amber’s mouth just to get swallowed right into Eula’s when she felt the Spindrift knight’s left leg pry open her own ones. Two icy hands began roaming up and down her entire body, and she could feel the sheer urgency and want in every movement, every caress, every squeeze; the way those gloved fingers fiddled with the coord of her corset. And suddenly it reached her, the overwhelming need to breathe without her restricting garments, the desire she had to feel Eula’s bare skin on hers. Eula had been able to pick it up though, as she unglued her hands from the outrider’s exponentially warmer body to help her take out her gloves, noticing how without them Amber’s fingers felt even warmer, burning even. “Mmh y-yours too” the pyro user specified in the few seconds they separated to catch their breaths. As the cryo user fiddled with her own arm armour, taking it off as fast as she could manage. Amber’s now bare hands were back on Eula’s back and burned , so deliciously so, tracing the forms of the lean muscles from her shoulder blades down, unhooking the thick black strap that stood in their way, and continued all the way to the lower back where the suit closed.

Suddenly Amber felt two very cold hands hoist her up from the curve where her bottom finished and her thighs started, as she intuitively came to wrap her legs around Eula’s waist. Having her cold hands touching her burning skin directly after so much waiting felt like heaven and she couldn’t help but release a pleasured whimper in between their harsh breathing when those frosted fingers squeezed down hard on her flesh. Slowly the two entwined women made their way to the bed positioned right under the window in the farthest corner of the room, the sun was setting, which granted them with a deep orange light that was slowly bleeding into purple, it reminded Amber of Eula’s eyes, which shone brightly with pure want as she placed her on the bed, hands automatically coming down to help her get rid of the white and gold thigh high boots. As much as they thought their favonius attire was fit for the job, it was certainly a hassle in situations where passion led the way.

Setting the long white boots at the feet of the bed, Eula began unstrapping her own boots, after all, it was ill mannered to get on top of a bed with shoes still on, whether you were a noble woman or a commoner. Amber felt the overwhelming urge to still be close to the taller woman, who was now sitting at the edge of the bed, working quickly to get back into paying attention to her as soon as possible. With her free hand she started unbuttoning the small, red cropped jacket the outrider could always be seen wearing, Amber sighing with relief when it came off, as she was feeling way too warm to be wearing it in the first place, the way Eula’s hands began caressing and squeezing the flesh on her shoulders and arms applying her cryo in just the right way to make Amber’s voice quiver made the brunette squirm underneath the taller woman yet again.

Pressing cold lips against Amber’s ear, cheek, lips and going down to her jaw, neck, and now exposed collarbone, as her hands just caressed the still corseted waist, one of them coming behind her back, trying to finally untie the tight lacing. But it was proving more difficult than the cryo user had anticipated “Stupid corsets, this is why I hate them” she grunted against Amber’s warm skin, as she opted to change her strategy, pulling down the white fabric that covered the outrider’s breasts, freeing them to the colder air of the room, eliciting a sharp breath of her name to come out of Amber’s mouth.

Concentrating the cryo in her mouth, and specifically her tongue, the spindrift knight began planting wet kisses and licks all over the soft, sensitive mound, circling the already hardened nipple with the tongue before finally closing her lips against it and giving it a proving suckle. The high pitched whine that came to her ears was a clear sign her actions were fancying the pyro girl beneath her, if it wasn’t clear enough by the way both of her hands latched onto her blue hair tightly. Even more soft sighs and needy moans of the Reconnaissance Captain’s name came out of the pyro girl as Eula finally removed her shirt and proceed to take in the sight of the girl under her, only her shorts and thigh highs remaining, her rosy skin more flushed and usual, a sheen layer of sweat making it glisten in the last rays of sun that managed to sneak past the window. Focusing her gaze lower, into those brown leather shorts that usually barely contained the brunette’s bottom, Eula finally took pity of her and slightly shifted her knee forward, pressing it against the intense heat. 

The long, dragged out moan that left Amber’s mouth as she felt a jolt of pleasure run through her entire body made Eula’s mouth go dry and her own arousal grow. Pressing her knee against the pyro girl’s still covered groin again she lowered her head back to keep leaving love marks on the girl’s body,as her hands fumbled with the front of Amber’s shorts, hurriedly unzipping them. “What a shameless sight” The blue haired woman murmured, amused, rubbing her cold fingers lightly up and down the still covered slit “You’re soaked” she hummed against Amber’s ear giving it a long icy lick. The outrider’s sighs and whimpers had only gotten faster and louder since Eula started touching her where she needed it the most, legs trembling and her grip on the silken sheets tightening. 

Removing her fingers, much to Amber’s desperation, the Spindrift knight raised them to where the smaller girl could see, they had only been there for under a minute, but both her ring and middle finger were glistening with the girl’s wetness, a trail forming when Eula separated both digits. “It’s unbelievably warm…” The image of the Reconnaissance Captain, locking eyes with her, as she brought those two fingers to her mouth and licked then clean was ingrained into Amber’s brain, as she felt a sudden rush of her arousal flowing down between her thighs yet again. “Hmph getting all shy now?” Eula said in a teasing tone, her expression playfully flirty as she got up to her knees on the bed “But very well, I shall grant you the honor to see me without clothes in the way” came her dignified response as she began to take off her intricate uniform. The Spindrift knight wasn’t expecting to have those golden eyes glued to her as she did so though, and she could feel the tiniest tinge of embarrassment setting in her chest. Shaking off that feeling she discarded the one piece bodysuit on the floor right where the rest of their clothes had ended up. Her black, elegant lace up underwear weren’t as obvious as Amber’s pure white ones when it came to showing the effect they had on each other, but they were still uncomfortably sticking to her reddened flesh.

Lowering her now bare body again, Eula positioned herself partially on top of the pyro girl, letting one of her legs nestle between Amber’s. A sigh of satisfaction came out of the outrider’s mouth as they finally got to press their bodies together, skin against skin. The contrast between Amber’s warmer than normal body temperature and Eula’s opposite one gave them the perfect balance, as both girls explored their soft skin at the same time. “No need to apologize for such an unimportant detail” huffed Eula, before meeting with a very displeased expression on the pyro girl’s face “ That’s not true! I don’t want to be the only one feeling good…” as she was saying that her hand timidly made its way down their bodies, lingering on Eula’s hip bones “You’ve been waiting more than I was so...It’s only fair!” Amber concluded, letting her hand rub against the black fabric of Eula’s lingerie.

The brunette let out a surprised “Oh!?”  as she realized that the cryo woman was, in fact, not cold down there “I-it’s warm” she exclaimed, as a huff full of annoyance came out of Eula’s lips “Huh? Were you expecting anything else?” her brows furrowed. “I- I just for some reason expected it to be cold...I guess?”  the state of disbelief that could be seen in Eula’s eyes was near comical “ For all archons I’m adding this to your list of vengeance” she took a sharp intake of air as she felt amber’s warm fingers move back and forth, slowly caressing her over the underwear. “It’s nice though! It’s very warm and you’re wet too! I’m happy” she gave a loving kiss to Eula’s cheek.

“Save yourself the time to state the obvious-” a groan left the Spindrift knight’s lips as a particularly sensitive spot was stimulated. The pyro girl kept moving her fingers slowly, trying to guess which action made the woman on top of her react the most, Eula wasn’t as vocal as herself, as Amber was quickly coming to realize, but the small signs the taller woman gave were enough to keep the outrider alert and eager to please. So, when she noticed how Eula’s hips started rocking into her hand and her breathing picking up speed, she just let her, not changing her pace in any way, fearing breaking the rhythm the cryo woman herself had set. The brunette could feel the desperation in the way the taller woman was grinding against her petting hand, the movements becoming more erratic and clumsy as she got closer to release. Just being able to observe and partake in Eula’s pleasure was making Amber’s own desire flame up again, as her free hand came down between her own thighs.

With a muffled cry onto the outrider’s neck, Eula finally reached her climax, hips spasming and her whole body shuddering as she rode it off, her grinding slowly coming to a stop. The brunette let out a sharp sigh as she observed how Eula repositioned herself between her trembling thighs, anticipation building up inside of her yet again as she could only guess what was gonna happen next. With the first rays of dawn Amber slowly fell off her slumber, she felt so rested, tucked in warm sheets as the soft breathing of the other girl tickled her head, opening her eyes she tried to contain her need to stretch, to not wake up Eula who was still sound asleep. The brunette’s happiness could not be matched in that exact moment, not with the way she took notice of Eula’s arm around her, and how in their sleep they had ended up cuddling very close, with Amber’s head resting on top of the taller woman’s chest. Judging by the position of the sun it was still early and they could enjoy some more rest before having to attend to their daily routines. The brunette sighed in content as she snuggled closer to the other’s body.

A few minutes later she felt the cryo woman began to wake up too, opening her sunset eyes and looking down at the pyro girl, a sleepy expression still on her face “Good morning Eula!” Amber said enthusiastically, giving a light peck to her cheek. Eula’s hand around her began lazily caressing the soft skin of her waist as she returned the morning greeting. “Did you rest well?” she said, her voice thick, still full of sleep. The smaller girl nodded “I feel like I’ve never rested better!” smiling, she slowly moved her body so she was still fully on top of the other girl. “But I’m so sorry I think I fell asleep way too soon yesterday!”  she said, pouting cutely.

A smile made its way to Eula’s lips “Hmph I guess my vengeance was too much for you to handle, I must say I’m quite pleased with the outcome, even if the conditions didn’t meet my ideals” her hands came to rest at the small of Amber’s back, teasingly applying cryo there, making the other girl yelp “Ah Eula stop it! It’s too cold!!” she complained, sinking her face in the crook of the light haired woman’s neck. Deciding it was enough teasing for now, she asked Amber to raise her head again and gave the tip of her nose a small kiss. “What time is it?” she inquired, also trying to guess the approximate by looking out of the window 

“It’s still early! We can just cuddle and talk for a while...right?” Amber asked, her golden eyes full of hope, to which Eula sighed, allowing her to do so. “Besides I have something I really want to ask you…” continued the brunette. Raising her eyebrow in confusion, the Reconnaissance Captain looked intently at her girlfriend’s face. “And what could that be?”

“If what happened last wasn’t your ideal...what was it? It seemed perfect to me” she timidly said, her eyes trying to focus on something else that wasn’t the intense sunset gaze.

“Well, for starters…”  she began relating how it would have been much more ideal if the aromatic rose petals imported from fountain she had ordered had come in time “I also was expecting to receive some special oils with calming properties from Sumeru, and special candles made by electro beewasps from inazuma, but you know how commerce is right now...”

Amber kept listening dumbfounded as Eula listed a whole arrange of specific items and in all detail explained to her how the entire day would have been “First I’d take you for a walk in the morning to have a nice lovely chat about your day, picking the best flowers at Flora’s shop to give them to you, after that it would come a light snack at the highest point of Starnatch cliff as we gaze into the ocean, and then dinner back at a prestigious restaurant, I would have arranged all the items in my room beforehand so that when I invited you to my chamber you would have been met with the bed covered in crimson rose petals and--”

“I think that’s enough Eula” The outrider couldn’t help but to giggle cutely at how serious the other woman was while explaining everything in such detail. “ You asked for an explanation and now you’re disrespecting it? Bold of you to antagonize me so directly, Outrider” she pouted. “I didn’t know you would have such a clear idea that’s all! No wonder it was never good enough of a moment” Amber wrapped her arms around the taller woman’s shoulders “But I can assure you it was perfect the way it was, I don’t need no fancy rose petals or anything!” she said, giving a peck to Eula’s rosy lips “Being with you is already the perfect setting” 

“Oh but those oils look promising, let’s try them once they arrive!” she enthusiastically said, nuzzling Eula’s face with her own. The sun had risen enough to illuminate the entire room, and as much as both girls didn’t want to move from their current position, there was a long day ahead of them. Reluctantly Amber climbed off of the cryo woman and scooted to the edge of the bed, to try and find her clothes that had been thrown in all directions last night. Her expression contorted in one of discomfort when she finally got off the bed, setting the sheets that previously kept the warmth trapped. “Aahh it’s too cold today!” she whined as she hurriedly picked up her shirt and corset and hurried back on the bed, covering herself with the sheets again. 

“I’ll just get dressed under the covers” she said while trying to put on her shirt. “You’re way too sensitive to the cold” Eula sighed, having no trouble stepping out of the bed and calmly walking to her closet “I should take you to swim at the lake in Dragonspine as special training”  watching in amusement as Amber whined again. Taking out two pairs of fresh underwear she tossed one to the pyro girl who had already put her shirt and hoodie on. “Here, take these, I doubt you can put on your own underwear today…”  She side eyed the discarded white panties Amber had worn, just by looking at them someone could see they were still damp “Don’t worry, these are new” 

Amber took the black panties and examined them, “They’re so...elegant” she chuckled “It’s going to feel weird having such fancy underwear today” Thanking Eula, she quickly stood up the bed and slid the panties on, searching for her shorts next. Both women got ready in the matter of minutes, having to wear the same uniform every day giving them the experience they needed to be quick and precise, although Amber still needed some help with her corset, which Eula happily obliged even while spouting nonsense about being a noble woman.

Opening the door of Eula’s room and making sure none was out yet, both of them stepped into the corridor, the cryo woman closing the door behind her. They walked until reaching Amber’s own room, it was finally time to say goodbye and focus on their tasks.

“U-umh...see you later? Tonight?” The outrider said, opening her door and looking back at the taller woman behind her. “Affirmative, I’ll give you the honor to have dinner with me” Eula got close to an unexpecting Amber, circling her arms around her waist and whispering with an icy sigh “And then we can go to your room instead” she whispered before storming down the stairs and out of headquarters, leaving the pyro girl stunned, cheeks flushed, and a big smile on her face as she also hopped down the stairs. She’ll have to remember thanking the Librarian and the acting grand master, after all, their plan turned out to be more than successful.
