"Are you really ready to come home, Tae?"
Home. That simple question keeps repeating in Taehyung's mind. It was supposed to be a simple question answerable by a yes or a no but for him, it felt heavier than it should suppose to.
"Tae, are you still there?" Jimin, his best friend asked. They have been on the phone for the last half an hour, the older omega has been rattling his ears off ever since he texted him that he will be boarding the plane to Seoul in the next 2 hours. "Are you really sure that you are mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared to come home, Tae?"
Taehyung took a deep breath and massaged his forehead, he can already feel the incoming headache. "You know I do not have a choice, Minnie."
"That is not the answer I was looking for, Tae." his best friend whined, frustration visible in his voice. " I just don't want to see you break down again just because you were not ready to come home. You know I worry about you so much."
"I know, Minnie. And I don't want to sound ungrateful to you but you know I have to come home." The younger omega he reasoned. "You know if I just have another choice, I will choose the second option in a heartbeat."
"But what if they will find out? What will happen to the both of you?"
Taehyung held his breath, hands automatically gripped to the 5-year-old pup sleeping soundly in his arms, oblivious to his omega father's distress. He has thought about that possibility a million times in his head and he fails to come up with a solution every time. "I think I have fulfilled the end of my bargain, Minnie. They asked me to lay low for 3 years, I gave them 5. That should give them enough time to do what they have to do without me on the picture, right?" He continued to caress his son's hair, seeking comfort and assurance from his son's calming scent.
"Do you really not have a choice? You know I can support both of you now, right? I can send you money to send Beomgyu to the best schools there in Japan." Jimin insisted, he is pretty sure that his friend is pouting so hard right now.
He sighed. "Minnie, I can't let you do that. It's enough that everyone there calls me a gold digger. I don't have to act it out to fulfill their accusations."
"But Tae...."
"Look, Minnie, I understand where you are coming from, I really do. But you also have to understand me. I am a father who wants nothing but to give my son the best as long as I am able to provide. The promotion waiting for me there is thrice my pay here in Japan plus I can introduce Beomgyu to his grandparents. It's about time my parents meet this little troublemaker, don't you think."
Jimin had no choice but to agree with him. He is actually thankful that his friend never left him after all the chaos that happened almost 6years ago. The older omega is the only one who knew what really happened and why he had to leave without saying goodbye. Not even to his parents. His best friend was there when he found out that he was already almost 4 months pregnant and helped him during his entire pregnancy. It was a difficult experience for both of them as they were both unmated omegas in a foreign country and him being pregnant did not really sit right with most of the people. He had a hard time looking for jobs as no one was really interested in hiring him in his condition. Jimin literally had to work 3 jobs to help him cover his bills and not once did he hear the older omega complain.
When he gave birth, his son had very weak lungs. The doctors said that his stress during his pregnancy affected the development of his pup. It also had to do with him finding out about his pregnancy late. He worked 2 stressful jobs as a hotel cleaner and a restaurant waiter so he was constantly exhausted, sometimes forgoing sleep to work for sideline jobs during the weekend.
This is the final boarding call for passengers booked on flight J0613 bound to Seoul, South Korea. Please proceed to gate 3 immediately...
"I guess that's my cue. See you in a few hours, Minnie. Ggyu has been talking nonstop about you."
"Alright, I guess. See you, Tae. I will be waiting for you at the airport. Kiss Ggyu for me."

He will turn 21 as soon as the clock strikes twelve tonight and he can't wait to spend it with the love of his life. He has been in a relationship with his alpha for 4 months now and it had been the best months of his life by far.
"Hey baby, are you ready for tonight?" Jungkook said, placing his hands on his waist. "You look so pretty with your scarf baby. It suits you perfectly."
Taehyung purred at the praise. His alpha has prepared a surprise for him as a gift for becoming a legal adult. "Thank you, alpha. You don't look bad yourself."
The alpha looked at him in the mirror, eyes full of love and adoration. He felt the alpha nosed his neck, breathing in his strawberry with an undertone of champagne scent. Jungkook never fails to remind him how intoxicating the combination is and how he loved that his alpha wholeheartedly accepts the omega's scent despite his wolf being sensitive and picky.
"Where are you taking me tonight, alpha?" he asked, closing his eyes as he basked in the alpha's body warmth.
"Baby, if I tell you, it will no longer be a surprise."
Taehyung pouted. He has been trying to convince his boyfriend to give him a slight hint but he really got none. He felt his alpha's arms hold his hand to guide him outside of his dorm room. Once they were outside, a luxurious car was already waiting for them. Jungkook opened the passenger door for him and gave him a quick kiss on his cheek before running to the driver's side.
Even in the early stage of their relationship, the omega knew that Jungkook came from an affluent family. If his courting gifts were to be counted, he can pay off his entire student loan and more. The thing is even if his alpha is a chaebol, he does not act like an entitled cocky heir. He was humble and respectful to everyone and easily made friends in school. For an alpha, Jungkook was rather sweet and affectionate to him and does not shy away from public display of affection. In fact, most of the time, it's the alpha who is clinging to him and following him around the campus.
They drove in comfortable silence for almost 2 hours, the sun slowly set in the background. Taehyung can smell that his alpha was anxious, his Oud wood scent was all over the place, stinking the entire car. Tae knew that Jungkook was trying to play it cool so he does not want to push the topic and ask for their plans again tonight. After a few minutes of driving, the car entered a long narrow driveway that led them to a huge 2 story house in the middle of the forest. All the lights were lit and he can see how beautiful the exterior is even in the dark. When they were almost in the driveway, his eyes widen in realization.
"Is this..." Taehyungs voice trailed off. His eyes started to water with overwhelming emotion. He did not even realize the car has stopped and Jungkook already opened the car door to let him out.
"Do you like it, baby?" Jungkook asked, his scent is getting muskier. "I built this for you."
"Oh my God, alpha you did not!"
He felt the alpha's hand cupped his face, looking straight into his eyes. "Yes baby, I did."
Standing in front of them is Taehyung's exact replica of his dream house. He mentioned this in passing one boring afternoon when they were together a month after they became official. He was not even expecting that the alpha was actually paying attention to his random mumbling because he was just staring at him the whole time.
"Baby, why don't we get inside to see everything? I really tried my best to remember what you told me last time."
Taehyung was in awe, silently scanning his surroundings. He cannot still believe that this is happening right now. A lot has happened ever since the first time they met during the freshman orientation when the omega asked a random person for directions to the auditorium. Instead of showing him the directions, Jungkook offered to accompany him all throughout the event and toured him around the campus afterward. Taehyung was wondering why he was receiving stinky eyes from the majority of the people who saw them on the streets. Later, the omega realized that he was being accompanied by the most coveted alpha on the campus, the unattainable Jeon Jungkook.
Jungkook was a junior in Business Management but has developed a deep passion for Architecture and Design. No wonder that his alpha was able to capture even the little detail of his "dream house". The couple went inside the house, the omega is still speechless. They went to the living room first and were greeted with a huge leather sofa and a pile of nesting kits on the side. His hands automatically itched by instinct the moment he saw the soft materials of the blankets and the pillows. Afterward, the alpha led him to the kitchen, everything was exactly what he wanted it to be.
"I know the kitchen is your least favorite part, baby so let me take you to the bedroom. This is actually the deal breaker here." his alpha tried to joke but is obviously anxious for his approval. He realized he has not uttered a single word since they came inside. Hand in hand, they took the steps to the second floor. He saw 4 doors facing each other and one huge door at the end of the hallway. The grip he had on his alpha tightened, he looked at him with teary eyes.
"2 rooms for our future pups, 1 guest room, and the common bathroom," Jungkook explained kindly, gesturing to the doors as they passed. "Will you do the honors of opening the master bedroom, baby?"
Taehyung nodded, still blown away with a lot of things to process. With a shaking hand, he twisted the doorknob and was greeted with a huge bed covered in the softest material, 2 doors which he assumed was for the comfort room, and the walk-in closet. In the far corner was a huge vanity mirror with light bulbs attached to it. The sliding door was open and he can see the view of nature outside, cool wind freely entering the bedroom. Even the color of paint is exactly what he told Jungkook to would be the color of his future room.
He cannot express how happy he is knowing that his alpha built this for him. That his alpha remembered the slightest detail of their lazy afternoon conversation. His omega was preening with pride, wagging his tail with happiness. He slowly faced the alpha who was fidgeting beside him, cupped his face, and kissed him gently. The alpha returned his affection with equal sweetness, deepening the kiss. They parted after a few minutes, breathless but contented.
"Jeon Jungkook. My alpha. I love you with all my heart and soul. You know that right?" he asked and the alpha nodded. "More than this gift, I am thankful that you paid attention to me even if I was talking random things. You made me feel valued and love and I could not ask for more."
"I love you too, my omega. So much. And I will do anything and everything in my power just to keep you happy"
"Forever?"
"Yes baby, forever."
