Charming

Summary:

Prince Shiro was blessed by the five fairies as a baby. And the Black Fairy, who loved him most, gave him the strongest blessing: to be completely and utterly charming. Now, Shiro is grown, and he is so charming that every woman he meets falls hopelessly in love with him at first glance. But Shiro's charm comes with a price; his country is on the brink of war, and three princesses fight for his hand in marriage. The only way Shiro can save his kingdom (and himself) is to take a quest through the White Lion's Path and find his true love.

Shiro is convinced that his true love will be a beautiful and amazing woman - though he can't seem to be able to imagine what she'll be like. But every day that he travels with his new companion, Keith, he finds more and more that he wants his true love to be just like Keith.

Loosely based on the movie Charming.

Chapter Text

Prince Shiro of the kingdom of Kerberos was born under a lucky star. A bouncing baby boy, with a bright smile and a bubbling laugh, well loved by his parents, he was already destined for a near-perfect life.

On the day of his naming, Shiro was blessed five times by the good fairies. The first fairy, blue as the ocean, gifted the baby prince with handsome looks. The yellow fairy gifted him strength that would never waver. The green gifted intelligence. And the red gifted a passionate and caring heart.

The last fairy, the one black as a new moon, loved the baby dearly. She wanted to do more than her sisters, so she gave Shiro a most powerful gift. She gave Shiro the gift of charm. Charm so powerful that no woman who looked into Shiro’s eyes would be able to resist him.

At the time, no one could have predicted the chaos that would arise from such a gift.
