Work Text:
Mike was in the stables taking care of his horse after some training when some of the cadets showed up panting. He recognized the potato girl and his two inseparable friends. They were shouting something at him but he couldn't make sanse of anything.
"I wont understand you if you keep talking all at the same time" he said frowning. They seemed distressed.
"It's Section commander Hange" told him the bald one.
"What happened? Is Hange hurt?" Mike felt suddenly worried. He had always thought of them as a young sibling and he always felt the urge to pretect them. He knew Moblit was always by their side back in headquarters, but out of the walls, he was the one to keep an eye on them. At least until someone took the title of strongest from him.
"We don't know, sir. We heard weird noises coming from their room, it sounded like they were in pain but they wouldn't answer" This time it was the brunette girl talking. Mike lost no time. He handed his horse to the taller kid and started running to Hange's room.
It took him a few seconds to get there and soon enough he heard the sounds the kids were talking about. His eyes widened with realization and he froze on the hallway. A rithmic pounding could be heard coming through the thick wooden door as well as a muffled voice doing what could only be described as... moaning.
Not a second passed until the cadets appeared before him sweating and trying to catch their breaths.
"Is Section Commander okay?? Maybe one of their experiments went wrong again" Sasha screamed.
"We should take the door down" Jean added taking one step back and rolling up his sleeves. He seemed determined to do the job himself.
Mike quickly turned to take them out of there as soon as possible but the universe seemed to be set on making everything worse when he saw Erwin turning the corner of the hall with even more of the cadets following him.
"Mike, what's the matter?" Asked his Commander after seeing all of them gathered in front of the door, which was just beside his own. Mike was starting to panic. He wanted to say something but the kids were again faster than him as he kept trying to ignore all the lewd sounds coming from his friend's room.
"Its Hange-san, sir! Something's wrong with them" they yelled, too inocent to understand the meaning of those noises.
"What?"
"Hange?"
"They won't open the door!"
"We need to help them!!"
"That's what we were trying to do!!"
The kids kept yelling and making a fuss on the hallway and Mike was turning redder by the moment. Erwin got to where he was standing, eyebrows furrowed.
"That's weird, they never close their door... I just saw Hange a few minutes ago, they were with-" Erwin started but he never ended that sentence. He looked at Mike in the eye, absolutly horrified and the taller one could only nod at him. He acted quickly, turning to face the kids and trying to keep his face as straight as possible.
"Cadets, I need you in the Mess Hall immidiately. We'll take care of this situation" he said using his best "commanding voice".
Mike relaxed a bit as he saw Erwin speaking a few more words to the young ones until he finally convinced them to turn around and walk away to the mess hall.
"So..." He spoke turning to look at him after taking care of the kids with the biggest grin he had ever seen. "Should we knock?"
"Who was it, Erwin? Who was the one you saw with Hange?" Mike asked but before his commander could answer anything, the sound of a door opening distracted them, Hange's head coming out from behind.
"Mike! Erwin!" They exclaimed after seeing them standing there in front of their door. "What are you two doing here? Did you need anything?"
"Oh, no. We were just heading out" answered the former. "It's a lovely afternoon, perfect for a bit of exercise. Don't you think, Mike?"
Mike just stood there not knowing what to do. He looked at Erwin with his smug face and felt almost sorry for Hange, but they hadn't seemed to notice the teasing behind his words. Or maybe they had. Hanji was anything but stupid, altough they could be really dense sometimes. Either way, their expression was relaxed so he decided to play along with Erwin's words, curiosity growing inside of him.
"Yeah, to release some tension... "
"And strengthen freindship bonds…" added Erwin still with that whicked grin on his face. "By the way, have you seen Levi? Maybe he would like to join us" he said. Mike looked at him for a moment until Hanji finally answered.
"I'm afraid the Captain is already strengthening other bonds" they smiled.
After the door was closed, Erwin chuckled but it took Mike a couple of minutes to finally understand what had just happened.
That same night, Erwin had a signed petition on his desk to change his room to the farthest corner of the castle.
