Work Text:
Diluc sighed. He was in the Dawn Winery, doing paperwork. It wasn’t tiring or hard work - He just had other matters he wanted to attend to. Aside from that, he also had someone he wanted to see. Now, some might think that certain someone might be the Acting Grand Master, Jean, maybe Donna from the flower shop, the Honorary Knight themselves, or even a traveler from Liyue, who went by the name Jasmine. However, it was none of these people. Rather, it was a detective from Inazuma, Almond Cookie.
Though some might think, “What? Master Diluc? In love with a cookie??”, Almond Cookie was, in fact, not a cookie. Rather, he was a human, and an attractive one. Many thought this, and of course Diluc did as well. Diluc smiled a little at the thought of seeing his beloved again. As soon as he finished up his paperwork, he headed off to Angels Share, as he was taking over Charles’ shift for the day. Now, the new traveler from Liyue had started working at Angels Share, yet she and Diluc had never seen eachother. He believed this would be the first time. He walked in, going behind the counter with a small sigh. Almond Cookie was not here yet, but Diluc figured he was out doing some work. After 10 minutes, which felt much too long, a girl bearing an electro vision came in.
“Hello. I assume you’re the new worker here?” Diluc asked the girl who came in. She nodded, thinking that Diluc was oh so attractive. “I’m Jasmine, its nice to meet you!” She started walking towards him, but she tripped on one of the loose floor boards like the absolute idiot she was, and fell and broke her nose. Some of the patrons there laughed, especially a regular there that went by the name Spiffy, and for some reason always had a shirt, sweater, and even shorts of a pink pig, who he said was “Peppa Pig” and was “amazing, and the best Pig to ever Peppa”.
Moving on from this, Diluc sighed a bit, and went to help the girl up. “Try not to trip again. I don’t want you getting too injured in here.” The girl nodded as she took his hand, and got up. “I’ll make sure not too, Master Diluc!” Jasmines voice was slightly annoying, and throughout the rest of her shift she constantly looked at Diluc as he worked. She admired him very much. Maybe it was love. ‘He’s so attractive……. I think I love him. Maybe he might love me back?? He is so hot.. So fine.. he kinda looks depressed but I don’t mind..’ Jasmine thought, as she continued glancing towards Diluc.
It was finally the end of the idiots (Jasmine) shift, and it was perfect timing. Almond Cookie was finally done with his work, and it was nearing the end of the day. Diluc looked up as the door opened, and smiled, his eyes softening. “Hello, my love.” Diluc said, Almond Cookie nodded, as he sat near the red-head. “Hello. It’s been a long day for you and I both I can imagine.” Diluc nodded, and sighed a little. “There was someone rather troublesome that started working here. Thankfully, I won’t have to see her often.” Almond Cookie laughed a little at that.
“Now, we haven’t seen eachother all day. Instead of talking about our days, how about we head upstairs?” Almond Cookie said, pointing up. “I suppose we can.” Diluc said, as he walked out from behind the counter and upstairs, heading towards the balcony area.
The moon was out and bright, though not very visible from where they were.. There was barely anyone out, and nobody near Angels Share. Diluc and Almond Cookie held each other close, and were silent for a minute. They simply wanted to appreciate each others presence there. They held each others hands, and kissed. This was common for them, but it felt different on this day. They let go of eachother, and Almond Cookie kneeled down, and took out a box. “I’ve been waiting all day to ask you this, my love.” Almond Cookie opened the box, revealing a ring. “Will you marry me?”
Diluc nodded. He was surprised, of course. “Yes, of course I will.” They both smiled as they kissed lovingly once more.
