Work Text:
I squeezed my arms around Avery as I snuggled deeper into his defined chest. The thick comforter pooled around our waists as cold air forced its way through the vents. I groaned as the air began nipping uncomfortably at my skin. I scrunched my eyes and eased myself up from my mate, allowing the comforter to completely fall off of my figure as I opened my eyes.
I froze.
"What the?!" Instead of being greeted to the blurry world I've become accustomed to over the past few months, I was greeted to a dark room. I looked around the room, unfamiliar furniture littered the space, and memories of me making it through this room to bed by myself made it's way into my mind. I could feel Avery shifting below me and allowed my eyes to fall onto him and he, he was beautiful. A soft light illuminated his pale face, revealing his upturned nose and high cheekbones. His lips were black and his eyes had a natural black wing to them. He had long platinum blonde hair that framed his face. I couldn't help but run my fingers through his locks, they were soft. I ran my fingers over his cheek as he nuzzled his face into my palm as his eyes opened to reveal stunning ruby iris.
"Rose? Are you okay?" Avery whispered as he raised his hands to cup my cheeks. I gripped his hands and smiled, "I can see, Lachavery." Avery's eyes widened as he traced his thumb down over my cheek, sleep was evident on his face as he yawned, "Are you alright?" His words came out in a whisper. I bit my lip and nodded. "You're pretty." A blush crept across his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around me and brought me down to his chest. "Y'know," he let out a yawn, "I'm actually freaking out, but right now, I'm for tired than I am excited." I pulled the white comforter over us as I buried my face into the crook of Avery's neck.
"I love you," I mutter planting a kiss on his neck.
"I love you too."
